What is the difference between Faith and Healing.
I believe the difference is that faith is what we trust in. The faith that we place in Jesus Christ to save us and we have faith that He will. Healing is something that we either receive or do not receive because God has not promised to heal everyone and our faith does not guarantee our being healed. Paul prayed 3 times to be healed and he had great faith but the Lord said, “My grace is sufficient for you.” Does this help Matthew?
My eight year old would like to know why god allowed us to kill animals and eat meat
Great question. As a father & grandfather, I have also had to answer this. God gave us plants and animals to eat but many are vegetarians but God gave us animals like chickens and cattle to help humans sustain their lives. God loves all animals but he loves humans too. He loves humans much more than anything else in creation. I can not answer for God but God declared all things good to eat. I don’t know what else to tell your 8 year old. I know that they also must love hamburgers and hotdogs and chicken nuggets. I think that God put animals in part on the earth to help sustain our lives.
Thanks for that.
This has been troubling me for some time, but last night i was watching the mini series Jesus Of Nazareth. What talent have i got, because God is going to ask us to account for that.
I sat and thought, but i could not come up with the answer.
Could you please help Jack.
Hello my friend. I believe you have shown your talent on the many comments that you have made, like on those who have contemplated suicide, who have felt that they can’t be forgiven, for those who need encouragement and for those who seem to be lost in certain biblical doctrines. I believe from your words full of grace, the Lord will say to you, “Well done thou good and faithful servant” because you have been serving the Body of Christ, those Christians who are trouble that come to this website, to give them hope from your own experience in your journey of your walk in Christ in your life. This is more helpful than you might believe but I see it clearly, and have no doubt, that the gift of encouragement and exhortation and edifying (I call these the “Three E’s) are sorely needed in this age my friend. Plus, since you are so passionate to want to help others with your words, you DO and HAVE made a difference. Your prayers are also especially important. We need more men like you who are so quick to console that I think you are a Barnabas…the son of consolation (or encouragement). Take heart. The last person to see a gift is the person that has it.
Thanks for your kind words Jack, and explaining the Talent issue.
I must tell you this. Has you know i am battling the sin of Masturbation, and i left the temptation just two clicks of the mouse away.I last fell on the 29th Sept Saturday, afterwards i pleaded with the Holy Spirit to help, because this is tearing me apart. So from Sunday 30th Sept i have not committed this sin for 6 Days now. Last night 5th October Friday was really frightening it was very hard. This thought came into my head has well that you are conning God,and you just go to this Christian site, and try to help people, and you are conning them too. I pleaded with Gods Spirit to get this away from me,along with the crying, and after about an hour i felt at peace. This time i cried with joy,and i have never had a feeling like this before in my life. It was God i knew it,and i know it wasn`t me it was Gods work. I am glad to say what ever the Devil was trying to do he did not succeed. Well it`s the 7th day now,and it`s the Sabbath. Jack with you being a Pastor i hope you can fully understand this what has happened to me,and i am not conning anybody. I just need your reinsurance with what i have said.
Hello my friend. Let me say that the whisper of the enemy is that you are conning God…because this is NOT the voice of the Holy Spirit for the Spirit never condemns and so you are battling the enemy for sure because you are striving to obey God. If you were not being harrassed by the enemy then you would not be trying to obey Him for only those who are Christ’s receive this kind of message of the Devil but when the Devil reminds you of your past, remind him of his future and your future is secure (John 6:37, 10:28-29) and the enemies is not (Rev 20). Rest assured because the fact that you are battling sin is a sign that the Holy Spirit is active and working in you just like Paul struggled with this walk in obedience (Rom 7). Read Paul’s struggle and you will feel better.
Thanks Jack for your reassurance, and your explanation is spot on in what has happened. I said before i hadn`t committed the sin of masturbation,it was 7 days and 7 nights, but i fell on the 8th day. This to me is like spitting at God,and telling God to f*** off it`s that bad. Jack you are like the priest that helped when i went through this many years ago. In fact he lost his temper(Nicely) the same thing that i am telling you. I am bearing my soul about this, and i thought maybe i was born to suffer. You mentioned St Paul i named my son after him, because he went all around the Med with gusto, and he nearly was killed once. I new he struggled, but i did not he suffered like that. I really take notice in what you say, like when you banned that site`s url, I was a member of that site, and i too went to read what it said about the unforgivable sin. You where quite right about it,because i read it,and i knew it was false. I just wished i could live near your church.
Do you really believe me Jack, because my mind is in turmoil, and all the medication i am on,i cannot think clear.I just hope Gods Spirit can forgive me. Jesus said it would not be easy, but i did not know that it would be like this. Thanks Jack.
I believe that the good thing is that you WANT to rid yourself of sin and the good news is that you are striving to do this. It is hard for us all, believe me my friend. Even Paul struggled with this. Read his account in Romans chapter 7. We will all battle sin but we all are forgiven for all sins (1 John 1:9).
Yes, I DO wish I had such a man who strives to live a godly life like you brother. Oh, that we had more like you who are battling with the devil but we will overcome because we believe in Jesus (1 John 5:4-5).
i want know the refernce in bible for the question” without root it can spread without seed it can come out and some loss in faith”?
I can not find that exact phrase in the Bible but it really reminds me of The Parable of The Sower in Matt 13:3-23; Mk 4:2-20; Lk 8:4-15. Where did you come up with this reference? Have you talked to your pastor about it? I don’t know what you are exactly looking for Prem.
Thanks again Jack for your words of encouragement. I have been depressed all day about this, but i know i will come out of it.
I know this St called Padre Pio said of the devil i am frightened of the devil, really, really, frightened of him, to this inquisitor, who was trying to denounce him has a fraud about his stigmata, and the gift that God gave him. The sin i am committing you are right i detest it,but it`s a habit. Thats not the Green light to say i can do it all the time. I cannot understand why i do it,because has you say i detest it. I feel at ease now,but i know he will come back.I have this feeling that this has made me a little bit stronger, but i don`t know,i am still confused. Thanks again Jack in what you say,i know you are right. Sorry but i am like doubting Thomas, for putting up with me. Thy will be done on Earth,so i after try and follow Jesus`s will.

Dear Mr.Wellman, I am so blessed ever since I came across your site quite by accident…and ever since have been able to solve so many doubts. The way you present it is so biblical and truthfully, I really love it. Am a bit confused about the Holy Euchrist. I used to be a Catholic and now am a born again Christian..the thing is the Catholics believe that the host is the actual flesh of Christ and the wine his blood..am not very comfortable with this thinking..we used to go to a Pentecost Church where we got a lot of our spiritual feeding but over the years we’ve been moving around and so had to attend some Anglican churches, where there are no statues, which am happy for but not very sure whether they say the same thing when the priest prays over the host and wine… I know in the bible Jesus at the last supper broke bread and said this is my body…and blood which was shed for you, whenever you come together do this in rememberance of me..can you kindly enlighten me…thanks
Thank you Patty. I see you have a great question. During Jesus’ giving the Lord’s Supper, did the bread and wine actually turn into His flesh and His blood? No, but it was symbolic and if you examined it under a microscope, then you would see there are no red blood cells in it. Jesus said to do this in rememberance of Him but His flesh and blood were the offering, .literally on the cross and that is what Jesus meant by this. Jesus was once and for all offered up as Hebrews 7:27 says as much, “he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.” and in Hebrews 10:10 “And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” so it is not continuing to offer up His Body, the flesh and blood again and again or “day by day” but was “ONCE for all” done so “when He offered Himself.”
Does that make sense? We do it in rememberance and not in the eating of His flesh and blood but as a perpetual reminder of His once and for all offering.
Hi Jack,
My little sister drowned when she was 14 months old. She’s almost 9 now. She has sever brain damage and is serebrale disabled. Whenever we pray for her, she gets some sort of attack over her body, she gets all red in the face and her arms stretch out and is too stiff to bend back again, her heartbeat accelerates drastically. One of my friends told me that I should stop praying, since there could be a demon inside of her, and can completely ruin and destroy her insides. Is this true? If so, how do I pray and lay hands on her without getting her hurt?
Thank you Monique for your question. I don’t understand why your friends would tell you to stop praying when we are commanded to pray by Jesus and throughout the New Testament. Have you spoken with your pastor over this issue? Talk to him. Have him come over and pray over her and lay hands on her. If she is demon possessed then pray in Jesus’ mighty name to rebuke the evil spirit and to cast it out, regardless of what your friends say. What your friends say and what the Bible says is no contest. We must obey the Bible and thus obey God.
We have tried that several times. Whenever we bring her to church, she’s fine throughout the whole preaching, but there is always a few people that approaches her to pray for her, and then the attack happens once again. And you can really see how much she’s frightened, I honestly think the devil has a hold on her since he does this whenever we pray, because when the devil does this, we would immediatly stop praying, because it frightens us to see her like that.
I would do has Jack says Monique.
This happened to me(I was a Catholic Then) continue to prayer, and get a pastor to come and lay his hands on her.
I had this done to me by a good priest. It was like a small ritual. He laid his hands on me,and he was saying what was in me to come out. He was mumbling a prayer. It worked what ever he did.
Jacks 100% right.
Hi Jack,
I am struggling with forgiveness, and I do not know how to approach this. I have prayed so many times that the Lord would come and heal me and make peace, so that I would not struggle with the bitterness. I cannot talk to the person that has caused me to feel this way, and do not know what to do. I deeply want to forgive him, beacuse I am so afraid that if I don’t, that the Lord will not forgive the sins I have. Is it possible that if I die that I won’t be saved because of this??
Thank you Monique for caring enough about her to help her. Let me suggest this. Offer her salvation thru Jesus Christ because she may not be saved. A Christian can not be possesed by an unclean spirit (http://www.whatchristianswanttoknow.com/can-christians-be-demon-possessed-a-biblical-analysis/) and so reveal the gospel to her as found in Romans 10:9-13 and see if she agrees to this. A person that believes can be saved by putting their trust in Christ (John 3:16-18) and so I would read to her Romans 10:9-13 and see if she agrees and see what happens. A wicked spirit can not dwell where the Holy Spirit dwells at the same time.

John 3:16 is a beautiful verse that speaks of the immeasurable gift that the Father gave of His Son for our forgiveness of sins. Even so, John 3:17 completes this thought; Jesus came not to condemn the world, but to save the world. One of the greatest things about redemption is that we are forgiven by God. He removes our sins as far as the east is from the west. The point is east and west never meet. He castes our sins into the oceans, which is a type of death. They are forgotten and never seen again. The irony is that when we fail to forgive others, we are robbing ourselves of health, joy, and happiness. What is called the Lord’s Prayer says that we are to ask for our trespasses to be forgiven as (just the same as) we are to forgive others there trespasses. Trespasses are an old English word for sin.
If Jesus came into the world not to condemn the world, then why do so many Christians condemn others when they don’t know what’s inside the person. Only God can see what’s in a persons heart but humans, even Christians, tend to judge a book by its cover. We ask for forgiveness but often we are not ready to forgive others. There is something wrong about this picture.
No, it is not possible for a person that is saved to lose their salvation over this. Your rewards will be affected. How many of your sins were ahead of Christ’s cross sacrifice? The answer: ALL of them! Read John 3 and John chapter 10 and see if that helps. The fact that you want to forgive others is a verifiable sign that the Holy Spirit is in you and working in you and the Holy Spirit is the seal of your salvation (Read Eph 1).
what is bible say about halping poor members from church fund
Thank you my friend. Church’s have benevolent commitees, which give funds to those in need and they can help those who are poor. We have helped the poor often in our church preferring to give food or clothing.
What Does the Bible Say About loan (without interest) from church fund for church needy member?
Again, church’s can help out their own members who have a real financial need and not doing so for interest. The Bible says that no one should have to pay interest in such cases and clearly no interest should have to be paid back with the loan to the church by those who needed the money. Does this help Shahidul? I hope it does.
two questions what does the bible say about gambling if your just doing it for fun or a stress reliever I used to smoke and drink but I don’t anymore and I make sure all my bills are paid and im starting to pay my tithes…. I just gamble hear and there for fun second question what doe the bible say about shacking I have been with this guy for ten years and i’m ready for marriage we do live together and yes we fornicate im tired of living like this if I saty with him will god be mad or should I leave he it seems after all theses years he really don’t want to get married. and also im a black woman and he is a black man he tells e he doesn’t like black people even though he is black but yet he says he loves me but is always getting caught looking at white woman im confused about what I should do… should I stay with him and wait for marriage or leave I don’t work he has supported me all these years
Hello Pamela. Thanks for the questions. I believe if we played for very low stakes, like just pennies or chips or even a couple of dollars, gambling is not wrong for you are doing it for fun and not to get rich. I believe we ought to lean on the “chips” or “pennies” side so that our Christian witness is not hurt and some perceive us as trying to get rich quick by gambling, which the Bible teaches against. Read this article called Is it a Sin for Christian’s to Gamble at:

You must stop this fornication right now, regardless of whether it makes him mad or not and especially with his track record of having another woman. I would not stay with him….move out immediately and get saved if you are not already. A genuine Christian does not continue to live in sin (read 1 John chapter 3). You may not really be saved if you have never repented of living in sin with this man.
Do you remember me ?
I remember the name sir but can’t remember our dialogue. Thank you sir for your comment and visit here again.
I have one question in revelations. All the bibles say do not take away or add to the words of this book. So which bible is it talking about? I use the kjv 1611,also regular kjv, also the kjv/Holman bible. To my knowledge the kjv version 1611 by study poles is the most accurate and the niv bible is the most popular in 2012. Thanks for your time.I read all of your comment section and enjoy your answers.
Bro Pete
Thank you sir and its good to hear from you again my friend. I believe that the Bible says that we should not add to or take away is from what the original manuscripts say…that any Bible translation or any other extra-biblical books that are not canonized. These include the apocrypha? This words “do not add to or take away” could not have been referring to any particular translation I don’t think but about what others add or take away from any translation.
I bless the name of our Lord Jesus Christ for this page. Please there is a question that has been bothering me for awhile now and I have been getting different answers from friends which I am not really satisfied with. The question is where exactly is Heaven and Hell? Some say Hell is down and Heaven is up which I am not satisfied with! Thank you.
Thank you Rufus for your questions. No one really knows exactly where hell is because the Bible doesn’t give an exact location but heaven is anywhere the God is at. Read Revelation 21 and 22 because these two chapters will tell you that heaven will actually come down from above and is the New Jerusalem and it is heaven because God dwells with mankind.
Please do some research on the NIV bible (so called) google “The niv exposed” it shows you exactly where it stands abd its not good….
Are demons real? Where in the Bible does it talk about them? I am VERY scared of them now… I am afraid of them.
Yes, demons are real and so is Satan. For more, please read this: http://www.whatchristianswanttoknow.com/does-the-bible-say-what-the-devil-satan-or-demons-look-like/ Anyone who has repented and trusted in Christ need have no fear because Satan can not do anything that is outside of the will of God.
