Are you needing to be uplifted and comforted today? These Bible verses about Hope will do just that for you. Take a deep breath and read through them slowly. We all too  often rush through things in life ( I am  guilty of this myself) and miss what God is telling us. God led you to these verses today for a reason, don’t let them go unread!

Hope of A Future Bible Verses

Proverbs 24:20 for the evil man has no future; the lamp of the wicked will be put out.

Proverbs 24:14 Know that wisdom is such to your soul; if you find it, there will be a future, and your hope will not be cut off.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Bible Verses on HopeHope of Eternal Life and Salvation

Titus 1:1-2 Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the sake of the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth, which accords with godliness, in hope of eternal life, which God, who never lies, promised before the ages began

Titus 3:7 so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

1 Corinthians 15:19 If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18  So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

1 Peter 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Hope from the Book of Romans

Romans 5:2-5 Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Romans 8:24-25 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.

Romans 12:12  Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Romans 15:4 For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

Romans 15:13  May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Hope in the Midst of a Crisis Verses

Psalm 27:4-5 One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple.  For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock.

Mark 5:35-36  While he was still speaking, there came from the ruler’s house some who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?” But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.”

Reasons To Hope Quotes

Numbers 23:19  God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

John 4:13-14 Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

Example of Hope in the Bible

    • Job

Job 13:15 Though he slay me, I will hope in him; yet I will argue my ways to his face.

Hope and Faith Bible Verse

Hebrews 11:1  Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

C.S. Lewis Quotes on Hoping For Something More

“Most people, if they had really learned to look into their own hearts, would know that they do want, and want acutely, something that cannot be had in this world. There are all sorts of things in this world that offer to give it to you, but they never quite keep their promise.

“At present we are on the outside… the wrong side of the door. We discern the freshness and purity of morning, but they do not make us fresh and pure. We cannot mingle with the pleasures we see. But all the pages of the New Testament are rustling with the rumor that it will not always be so. Someday, God willing, we shall get “in”… We will put on glory… that greater glory of which Nature is only the first sketch.

We do not want to merely “see” beauty–though, God knows, even that is bounty enough. We want something else which can hardly be put into words–to be united with the beauty we see, to pass into it, to receive it into ourselves, to bathe in it, to become part of it.

I love these scriptures! Especially Romans 12:12 Psalm 27:4-5 and Numbers 23:19. I know that God has a plan for me and all of us! And it is an awesome one. He knows all of our steps. Through trials and tribulations, our God is with us. I will be constant in prayer and a true believer in Hope and continue to be patient with my personal matters. I know my God loves me and I await his wonderful doings in my life! Amen and I will pray for everyone.

Good day,

please pray with me , i have decided o resign from my current employer beacuse i am working under pressure.

i am working as an HR Assistant, i started with my organisation on the 20th Sept 2012.I was reporting to the HR manager until she resigned on the 24 Dec 2012.

I was left under a lot of pressure with our company with 30 positions to be avertised.Due to the pressure that i was faced with the HR consultant was hired only to concentrate on the recruitment and i will take over with the rest when the candidate is found.
i worked so hard running the office alone while they were recruiting the HR Manager.it was only on the 1st march the new manager was supposed to start but had to decline the offer. The company had to see that they go back recruit again for the new HR Manager.I approch the management that i feel i am ready to apply for the HR position when it is advertised again since i have a diploma an a degree in Human Resources management .i was told i am not yet ready to take over the position yet i am busy running the HR Manager and the H assistant duties.I felt that it was unfair but i kept working. The organisation has now decided to hire the HR consultant for this HR Manager position and i must train the lady.i feel that the whole issue is unfair and it make me feel so upset and i have decided that for my health sake i am quiting. But i really believe that God will make a way for me by opening onother opportunity and my prayer is that i get a job where i will work and enjoy the environment and get the good managers.

amen

Hello Grace. I am so sorry my friend. I would not resign if I were you. There is nothing in the Bible that states that life is fair and we must wait for God’s time to work all things out and justice will be served someday…but not today. Read Psalm 46 to see why I say that. In this economy, I would be concerned if you quit. I don’t believe its a good idea. Anyway, I will pray for you just the same. Hope it does work out but God may not provide you with another job and an environment and good managers until you prove faithful that you are willing to suffer under and work for those who are not so good and unfair. God may be testing your faith in this.

a stressed man i am..i love a certain lady n even had decided to settle down with her next year, since i proposed about the issue of marriage, she accepted at first but after a while she changed alot,to an extent that i couldn’t understand her anymore..she still insists that she is not dating another man..we are both believers n we had plans of going to the marriage the religious way..as per now we only talk when we meet in the church on sunday or even when we are in the meeting of the youth..kindly help!

Thank you Mr. Mugambi for your comment. I would be very, very careful about marrying this woman. She seems very unstable and getting married to a woman who might completely change would be terrible for then you would be biblically bound to her for life! No marriage is always better than a bad marriage. I would wait and give yourself some time away to pray and fast over this. Cut off your relationship with her and see what she does. If she is hard to understand now, it could be much, much worse AFTER you get married.

My advice to you is that, stay far from her. It seems as if you are putting her underpressure. God will give you the wife you are looking for.keep on praying

Thank you for this site! It was extremely encouraging!

I don’t know if you still edit this site, but if you do it would be a benefit to exclude Jeremiah 29:11 and replaced it with Romans 8:28. I almost left the site because I didn’t want to deal with verses taken out of context. Thank you so much for making this page though! It encouraged me greatly!

By understanding just who you are in Christ Jesus. You are a child of God and God has such an amazing future awaiting you. Why should we fear what man can do when God is for us, who can possible be against us?

I am a Black male currently studying in university for the betterment of my own life but I cannot help feeling worthless all of the time. I feel as though all my efforts are in vain. People look at me and think I am a failure, the media portray me to be a criminal and statistically I should be dead or in prison, but despite the fact I am in university the world still engages with me in a racist way. I recieve racial abuse all the time and every police officer that looks at me does so in an objectifying manner, (I have been arrested in the past by racist police officers and put in a cell simply due to racial profiling) waiting for me to do something wrong and thus I find that when I am looked at, I cease being an actional person. I love God, and I have turned to him in an attempt to quell the sorrow in my heart of my blackness. I pray for patience and wisdom and for God to lead me on the correct path and not the one society has laid out for me. Thank you for reading and God bless.

Nathan, it is in times like these that God says to comfort us, “Vengeance is mine, I shall repay says the Lord” and so some day, not in this world, all will be made right. Sadly, some people still have prejudice but we can in a way feel sorry for them for the obviously don’t have trust in Jesus but trust in themselves and some day that will all come down on them in such a terrible way (Rev 20) but for us, who trust in Christ now, there is neither Jew nor Gentile, male or female, slave or free, for we are all one in Christ and in the family of God who has no respect for persons, color, rank, or such.
