You need to love yourself first and know there is one that loves you more than anyone here on earth can or ever will. That is the Lord our God. Allow him to hold you in His arms, love and and comfort you.

I included this scripture because as you seek God for help in this emotonal relationship He will give you the answers that you need.
We all want to be loved but not to the point of sacrificing our own self worth. At times we give so much of ourselves that we litterally loose our own self worth, we loose our own identity. We loose the person that God has called us to be. We loose of ourself being being mother, of being a positive, active, contributing member of society.
We teach people how to treat us and you have taught this man that it is ok for him to treat you like dirt, to walk all over you. You have taught him that your wants and your needs do not matter. You have taught him that he can just keep taking and taking without have to give in return. He keeps putting out little nuggets, just enough to keep you holding on and hoping that he will change and will love you as much as you love him. IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! Been here, done that! I KNOW that you love him but you have TO LET HIM GO!!! Ask God to help you get over him and mean it!
You are probably saying: “What will I do without him in my life?” You really want to know? You will do better! Make a list of all that he has done for you and all that he has not. The pros will not out weigh the cons. Then do the same for your self and you will see who the giver Has been and is in the relatiomship. Work on your self esteem. As long as you allow this person (I will not call him a man because he is less than) to remain in your life you are holding up God plans for you, you are blocking God from sending you who He has chosen for you. In order to receive you have to open your hands. As long as your hands are closed you cannot receive.
Stop giving of yourself and your finances to that person. As long as you continue to do that he will remain a leech. Make you an exit plan. Find yourself somewhere else to move. Another town, state, etc. Distance youself and your children from him.Then one day when he and His children are not around move out. Take what you need to take, leave what you don’t need.Change your phone number, cut all contact with him because if you don’t he will make you feel guilty and put all the blame on you. He will blackmail you emotionally.
You are only a meal ticket to him. Think about YOUR CHILDREN. The message that you are sending them is that is is ok to let a man treat you badly, and if you have boys you are telling them that it is ok to treat women with little or no respect.
You will be tempted to call him, talk to him but don’t! Let him go cold turkey!! IT WILL BE A CHALLENGE, BUT IT IS POSSIBLE!! Again, been there done that!
You will sit back onE day when he is out of you life and asK yourself: “wHAT DID I EVER SEE IN HIM? What took me so long to let go, to get out of the relationship? We really had nothing in common.”
1Cr 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].
I will be praying for you. YOU DO NOT NEED HIM, HE NEEDS YOU!!!! Let him go because he is sucking the life out of you!!
This is coming again from one who has been there and done that, one who knows the delemma you face. Again it is important that you let go of this person and let God be the Man in your life who will love you conditionally and without reproach.

God’s promises are always true whether we believe them or not. Truth is truth.
I have been born into, and always believed and hoped in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. However, I am living proof that “The Promises” the Bible speaks of are not true. For some they are, but not for all. I am sure you do not want to hear this or accept this as truth. You must be a person that has blessings in your life….and I am happy for you! I am living proof that the blessings do no always apply. I have read the bible many times. The blessings promised for this life are not true and I am living it! There is no peace because if the little promises for this life are not always true, then none of God’s word can be counted on by everyone. Evidently, one has to be favored, or lucky. You must be one or both. I am neither.

I can only guess the reason you say the Promises of God are not true is because your faith in them is not there! If God says it, all we have to do is believe it. Remember our ways and His ways are very different. His ways are way above and beyond ours. He can speak and make things happen, like the construction of the universe, that is still growing. Once you give your all to Him and ask Him for guidance, love, compassion, peace, joy, and everything else He has already left on earth through His Holy Spirit, you will see those promises manifest themselves. Luck has nothing to do with anything due to God ordaining all things that happen. All things don’t happen because God does them, but He does allow things to happen to change us or redirect us to another path or move us in a way He wants us to go. If you don’t believe me read the book of Job. God did not do anything to Job but He allowed Satan to do things so that God would get the Glory in the end. So I say this to you. I will pray for you, that our Father blesses you with His Holy Spirit that comforts. That He increases your faith in Him and that you get an understanding of His word.

Many atimes we come to think that God does not fulfil his promises or fulfill it partly. I beg to differ.. He is a convenant keeping God,He is not a man that lies.. I once believed like you. I don’t know you, but I can hear in your post that you probably experienced great pain and I’m so sorry to hear that. I too have experienced great pain in my life and though I was a believer for many years, it wasn’t until I finally decided it was time to let go of me and let God lead me that my world began to change. I didn’t believe other people when they told me that you don’t change, God changes you, if you will only let Him. Now I know how true that is…and it has all happened in the past 18 months. Find a church home, volunteer, find a small group, open yourself up and allow Him to heal you. God WANTS to heal you…just let him. You’ll see those promises come true…just let go and let God. I hear what you are saying. We have all been there in one form or another. God revealed Himself to us through His Son Jesus. He is who He says He is in his word.He is “I AM” for eternity and wants to have a loving ,real intimate relationship with us through His Son and the Holy Spirit. In Ps 8:32 He says he will guide us through the best posible path for our life. He will council us and keep us. Like a fitness or sport trainer know what to do to get us to the best shape for the game, Almighty God knows what life lessons/circumstances we need to go through with Him to make us into His soldiers of the cross and experience true riches and peace and purpose in life. Exercise is painful at the time but the results is good. Trust God with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.Prov 3:3-5 He wrote the exercise manual/recipe book for life. It doesn’t help to know a recipe, but to use it and experience/applying it brings enjoyment. I find that praying God’s Word as you read it helps me. Trust and obey, there’s no other way than to TRUST and OBEY. Ask God to help you. He wil!!! Love you in Christ.

I’ve been there too. There has been
times in my life when I felt like there
is no God because if there was a God
then I be in so pain. But I realized that
I needed to go directly to GOD (not man)
with my answers. I was mad at God and
I told Him I was mad at Him. I asked Him
why is He not helping like He promised
me? He (Holy Spirit) dropped the “Foot Print
Prayer into my spirit and it turned my life toward
God. No matter what it looks like no matter
what it feels like I knew He would bring
me through. We live by faith (faith in GOD)
not by sight. I recommend you read all scriptures
on faith and the love of God. Love you

Shau, first and foremost you have to believe that God loves you and God is for you. God gave his son for you to have a special relationship with him. You have not because you have failed to RECEIVE it. No matter what is going on in your life, IT COULD BE WORSE. You have rich people problems. The fact that you have access to a computer and know how to use it indicates you are not on the street poor. You must focus on what you have, be content, embrace this relationship, embrace the Word. Tell God exactly how you feel and seek answers from His Word. I was the same way until I really accepted Jesus. Me and Jesus. He is my only confidant. One day I entered into His presence and it was through praise and worship. I NEVER wanted to leave that place with him. So I didn’t. I will lift my hands anywhere at anytime before anyone and just embrace him. I receive His Love because I know I am accepted by Him. This is something you have to go after. Nothing happens until you just come to Him! He will open up your heart, till it and plant new desires and beautiful things in it. The book THE SHACK will help you understand how God loves even in the WORSE times in your life! Praying for you to receive!

all the promises in the bible are real, you just have to believe in God. Remember one thing, we are the creations of God and not the other way around, God will not leave his children behind. Sure there is suffering and hate etc in the world, however these things are here to test us. if everything was good and there were no pain, no suffering, no sin, then Jesus didn’t need to die. God gives us these things to see whether or not we can obey him and if we can be strong. I do not mean to make you wrong I am just simply giving my opinion. all I ask is give God a chance give him your all, and you will see God loves you and he wants to be your God.

@ Jhorna, You are totally entitled to your opinion and feelings. If His favour has not YET befallen you, then I urge or rather dare you to get into verbal conversation with God. If you are looking at your circumstances, then that is what determines your opinion. If you choose today to look at God, through Jesus Christ and open yourself to seeing the “little” blessings in your life then you would be on the road to positivity. The “little” blessings could start with good health, if your health is not too good, you could recognise that of your children, parents or family. It all starts when you acknowledge and proclaim with your tongue, all that is good. It is in adversity, that we learn that God is reall. You have only proclaimed negativity so far, and just remember that your tongue speaks power and will give life to what you profess. I urge you to turn you thinking around and will pray that God will comfort you and bring great peace into your heart. Start, by asking for His peace, even if you don’t understand anything regarding Him, His purpose or His will yet. You will definitely tell me again, and when you experience this peace, it will be the start of many more good things to come your way.

Please pray for me! I know our Father loves me and He does what pleases Him. I know not to make a selfish prayer but do ask that our Father would send me the woman that He has for me. I have been single for awhile now and I do get lonely at times. I know our Father understands this because He gave Adam, Eve. He gave Eve because He knew in is infinite wisdom it is not good for man to be alone. Adam was not truly alone because he had direct communication with our Father like Jesus does, but still the love of our Father saw the need for a woman for Adam. So I ask that He will meet this need for me as well. I pray she is for me and God knows what I like both physically and spiritually. I also ask for prayer on the 08th of February. Please go to our Father in the name of Jesus that He gives me Grace on that day, that the situation I’m in will be complete and never resurface. I know He can do all things and when it is over I will post a praise report to boldly proclaim Gods mercy and miracles for: He gave Sarah a son; way beyond her years. He delivered Lot, from the destruction of those wretched cities Sodom and Gomorrah. He protected Daniel in the lions den. He protected Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego from the exceedingly hot furnace that actually killed those that were to throw them in! He through His Son Jesus, turned water into wine, healed many sick, rose those thought to be too far gone (Lazarus) from the dead, cast out numerous demons in His Name. So I know and have all faith in His ability to grant me favor and Grace and Mercy on February 08, 2013. I thank our Father and you in advance.
Hello Marq. I will pray for you in this regard my friend. Does your church home have many women there? The local church is usually the best place to find godly women of faith. Have you spoken with your pastor over this. Perhaps he could also give you some advice and counsel as well as pray for you over this. God will send you this Good Woman when you are both ready. He may be giving you more time to build more faith or whatever it is that you need according to God to be the Head of your family. I encourage you to study his word and continue to grow closer to him. When you are feeling lonely get in your word, pray and fast. Delight yourself in God and he will then give you the desires of your heart. Dont give up, God has someone perfect for you. He may still be working on her so that she will be perfect for you. Dont rush God, be patient and it will all workout for your good.

Hello brethren in Christ.I am happy to have visited this site for i have found new strength.I would like you to pray for me so that the curses in my life be broken completely.I suffer ridicule from my peers,had dreams having sexual encounters,eating and traveling to unknown destinations with familiar faces sometimes unfamiliar.I also used to have dreams where I would be seeing a well full of blackish water.I believe i have demons that are haunting my life because in June 2012 I fell sick in a way I could not comprehend then ended up going for assistance to prophets in our local area who said a dead spirit of my great great aunt wanted to stay in me so that I would perform the duties of a traditional healer she used to perform when she was alive.I am so disturbed because my husband is scoffing at me saying I am possessed.I am suffering ridicule because sometimes when I am low and don’t feel like having sex, he will raise the issue again and threaten looking for someone to sexually satisfy him elsewhere.I am pleading with you to pray with me along these lines.I am also asking for a special favor from God to bless me in my building project,financials so that I will help those that look towards me for help,my parents,the old and the needy in general.Thank you and help me to thank God for the blessings that I already have i.e children, a boy and a girl,a husband,supportive parents,a residential stand under construction, a job and the gift of health and life.

Now, about your being persecuted, don’t think it is a strange thing only happening to you. In fact, if you are being persecuted for your being a Christian, you should rejoice for they also persecuted Jesus and the Apostles. 2 Tim 3:12 says, “In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.”
Jesus said in John 15:20 Remember the words I spoke to you: ‘No servant is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also.
Acts 14:22 states, “strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.”
The Bible never commands or exhorts Christians to pray for persecution. But the Bible very definitely tells the growing Christian to expect persecution. 1 Peter 4:12 emphatically states that “we are not to be surprised” when persecution comes, or think that “some strange thing” is happening to us when we are persecuted as Christians. (See also Acts 14:22; Philippians 1:29; 2 Timothy 3:12; 1 John 3:13.) Persecution is “part of the package” of our salvation! By no means is such a statement meant to imply that the salvation of our souls is earned or merited through suffering a certain amount of persecution. No, the Bible clearly teaches that salvation is a personal gift from God and persecution is not part of the price. The price of our salvation was fully paid by God Himself when our Lord Jesus suffered and died on the cross for our sins. But while persecution is not part of the purchasing price of our salvation, it certainly is part of the “path of progress” of our salvation. We do not “get saved” by suffering persecution, but when we are saved we will suffer persecution.
Miriam, I agree with Jack in that a true believer in Christ cannot be possessed. God loves you and if you are truly His, that temple is protected. He is NOT going to allow any unclean spirit to occupy His temple. As far as your husband ridiculing you, I would question his relationship with our Heavenly Father. Is he a Christian? God does not want us to be unequally yoked. I will pray our Father in Jesus name reveals to you the truth in all matters of your life, and peace that only He can give.
Mara, what you said is so spot on and thank you for it my friend. I should have said what you said because I had some doubts to this man’s authenticity or being truly regenerate. I would ask Mirika to read 1 John chapter 3 and see if she still thinks this man is a Christian. I see no real fruit. I believe God is more interested in the fruit of the Spirit than the gifts of the Spirit. I see no evidence of his being a believer for no true Christian continues in sin without repentance. I am so much to discover this site. Please pastor pray for me. I am in most difficult period in my life, it seems to me to take away my life because i am totally confuse. But i thank God for the faith am having on him now, i am drawing near to him because i don’t have anybody that will help me but Jesus. I don’t have job, no home, no wife, no money, i have many responsibilities. I am from a poor family and my parents struggle and suffer to train me in university, i have finish my study for long time but no job. I made a promise to my parents that i will take good care of them but it seems that im loosing focus for that because i have nothing. I wanted to do a 3 days dry fasting for this needs, a day to start it, somebody came to me in my dream telling me not to do that fasting that i know that i am suffering from ulcer, that i will do myself more harm if i do the fasting. I know that dream is not from God, because i remember in the scripture when Jesus told satan that man shall not live by the bread alone after satan has tempted him. Now i have started the fasting, the first day of my fasting and prayer, i had another dream having a lot of money, then i was in the bank with my mother to deposit the money in the bank.I was on the queue waiting for my turn to deposit, but i couldn’t hear my name from the cashier. So when i want to left the banking hall, i approach the cashier telling him/her that i didn’t hear my name, but to my surprise he told me that he has called my name several times to come forward to deposit my money. So please Pastor pray for me let this dream come true. Because Jesus is the only one that speak something for us in spirit and it comes out natural. I am happy in my spirit that my breakthrough is coming true. Amen. I will testify his goodness in my life here very soon. Thank you Jesus.
I am so much happy to discover this site. Please pastor pray for me. I am in most difficult period in my life, it seems to me to take away my life because i am totally confuse. I am recovering from disappointment after a seven year relationship. The man I trusted married another woman while he was still engaged to me. I was told by his friend after the wedding that he was sorry for what happened to me. I visit your website often and am uplifted by the faith sharing. I am sure that God has a better plan for me even while I am emotionally and psychologically drained each day. I have also been left financially burdened as he took lots of money from with the promise that it is for our future. I discovered last month that he was gambling and was engaging in pornography. This shocked and really hurt me to my soul. I love this man but the pain of desertion is so intense, it is making me ill. Please pray for God’s grace and deliverance from all of this and that me and my children will have the abundant life according to God’s will. In Jesus Name. Amen
Patricia I know how you hurt. I have never been married but I was engaged to a wonderful woman that I was in a relationship with for 7 years as well. I was the bad seed in that situation. I was the typical young man of the world. I had something good but did not give God praise for it and eventually she left me. She left in 2011 and my life has been pretty much disheveled since! There were two great things that came out of that relationship, she found Christ and accepted Him as her savior (I would take her to church and tell her about The Lord and His Father) and my daughter. We were living out of Gods order and he doesn’t like that. I dont think he likes a family going to church every Sunday seemingly married (i’m sure thats what everyone in church thought) but never making a vow before him. I miss the family that I started with her and now my daughter who is 9 sees a another man every morning and not me. That is what hurts me the most. He doesn’t pray with my daughter like I do, nor is he the spiritual head of that family. I will not judge them because we lived together for 7 years and never married and that seems to be the situation now for my daughter. Her mother has this guy living with them but that is her sin. I don’t want that lifestyle anymore. I said all that to say this. God knows what is best for you. We have to trust and obey him. He has so many promises for us but we must 1st obey. I had to learn this. I grew up pretty much in church but I never really knew The Lord until he needed to get my attention. I’m still going through a storm but I know, have faith and will receive my blessing. Read Deut. 28 and Matt. 11:28-30
God is not a man that he should lie so you can rest assured he will do what these scriptures say. I will pray to our Father right now that the hurt you feel will be no more and that depression will flee from you. Please pray for me as we’ll. I’m seeking more of the Holy Spirit in my life, that I be not bound to the flesh because it is so very weak. I also ask for Gods supernatural grace and mercy be with me on Feb. 8 and that the depression of loneliness I’m experiencing will be no more in Jesus name.

Hello Patricia. I believe it was a blessing to not have married this man, despite your being hurt, God was obviously watching out for your best. I feel bad for this man for he is headed for the wrath of God on Judgment Day (Rev 21) unlike you who will hear, “Well done thou good and faithful servant.” I will pray that God sends healing to your soul and that He inspires you to cast all your cares, burdens, pain and sorrow upon Him and that you and your children will be most blessed by our good God. Perhaps reading Psalm 103 might help show you just how much God cares Patricia.
Thank you Jack for continued intercession. Today I am overwhelmed by thoughts of dying. It seems an easy way to end the intense pain and sadness I feel all the time and as if I have nothing left to live for or do. My family has been damaged by the desertion which left us to live apart as my children did not want to be with me. I know God heals and even when I turn from Him He is there. It is then that I believe that I would rather be with God that have to endure this pain.
I know it is hard but I can not say I feel what you are feeling because I am not you and so I won’t patronize you or pretend I know what you are enduring because that would not be honest. Please know that what doesn’t kill us only makes us stronger and as long as you are drawing breath, God is not done with you Patricia. I am staying in prayer for you my friend. I wished I knew the right words to say but can only plead to God to send comfort and strength to you my friend.

Even though I wish that my closest family or friends will support me during this time, they have all distanced themselves as if I am a leper. Its hard to cope as I also spend so much time alone. The worst experience each day is to be in the same workplace as the man who hurt me and then behaves as if he did me no harm. He says it was his second chance in life and I must deal with it. I stumbled across this website last week in my search for the promises of God. God has a way of snatching us back into His presence when we become wrapped up in other things without staying close Him; my “other thing” was a relationship with a man I thought God sent to me – I thought he was my Boaz. I became so engulfed with him, by the time I realized that my entire thought life was about him and that I needed to spend more time with God, the snatching of God back into His presence had began already. Although the circumstances surrounding the breakup of my relationship with this man are hurtful, those circumstances do not even come close to what has happened to you my friend. However, I do understand the intense pain you are experiencing; how emotionally draining it is to get through each day. And no matter how much I pray and try and trust God, the feeling of betrayal and rejection are so overwhelming that I too feel as you do – that it would be easier to just go and be with God instead of enduring the pain that I feel.
As I read your post my heart broke because I truly understand the emotional state you are in as I am there with you. However, there’s this thought that keeps crossing my mind – something Jesus said about the gift of peace, that He has left us with the peace of mind and heart and that we should not be troubled or afraid. We both must believe His word and speak it whenever we are experiencing bouts of overwhelming pain. You and I must believe and trust that something good will come from our pain and that God has an amazing way of restoring us.

I have passed through a lot this last years! I feel my sins caught up with me. I now understand that sins is bad. I accept my punishment for my sins. And I pray God to forgive and grant me my health after He has punished me. I am sorry for all my Sins and I pray that the Lord Jesus will wash me from my sins with His precious blood. I have accepted Christ Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. And through His death on the cross and his resurrection I have been redeem from the sinful ways. I see the Holy Spirit working in you powerfully and we can rest assured that as 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” and 2 Cor 5:21 says, “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” and so know you must forgive yourself since God has promised to cleanse you from ALL unrighteousness and all sin and God put your sin on Christ so He sees you know as having Christ’s righteousness…so you must believe it.
Please pray for me. I have been meditating on Gods word seeking his will to be done in a relationship. Mark 11:22-25 states that whatever you ask for in prayer you will receive if only you believe but first you must ask God to forgive you of your trespases. I pray to have my heart free to receive what the Lord has for me. Don’t give up, trust in God (Psalm 37) and delight in Him and He will give you the desires of your heart…but you must first make Christ your first and greatest desire (Matt 6:33), otherwise you are putting your own interests and desires ahead of God. You CAN know the will of God when you obey the revealed will (like in Romans 12:1-2) then He will reveal to you His hidden will. Hi there! Thank you for the article. I am searching to find Gods promises that I myself and other believers can claim as “MINE”/”OURS”. A site before yours entitled (“Promises We Can’t Claim. Promises We Can.”-Stand to Reason) by Gregory Koukl differs with some of your claims. He said that we have to take the verse in context, as I believe, which I’m sure you also agree. The verse from Jeremiah 29:11 Gregory states is not a “Promise” for us as Christians to claim as our own but was intended for the people of Israel who were going into captivity for 70 years. This is the problem with trying to find the truths of the Bible and how they relate to those of us that believe… In order to “Stand on the Promises” as the song says…we need to know exactly what they are. I’d be interested to see you and Gregory talk and then get back with me with your findings!!! I’m just searching for the truth! I will pray for you Lincy. Me and my wife too understand what you are feeling. But let me give you a story that will hopefully encourage you. Me and my wife always wanted children. We were married in 1993 and thought it would happen like it seemed to with all of our friends. Well years passed with no children. We went to see a specialist for a few months to see if there were any physical reasons as to why we weren’t having children and they said, we should be able to. Well to jump to the end of the story…18 months ago our son Ryan was born. We experienced such joy as I think we both thought maybe we wouldn’t have any children. God was faithful to us in his timing. I tell you this because I want you to know that we serve a great God. We don’t always know what plans he has for us but we know that He loves us and is in control. I pray that you will be able to have children. That is my prayer for you today. Pray and talk to God about this often. Don’t hide your feelings from God. Draw close to Him and He will be close to you. But while you wait, I know that there can be hurt and doubt. I don’t know the plans that God has for you but I know that He has not forgotten about you and He will give you and your husband exactly what you need in His perfect timing. Praying for you!
Does anyone know any scriptures to fight the longing for a past love? I have prayed to break the soul ties. And still, after a time, the memories and sadness return and seems to depress me. I need to put this behind me once and for all for the health of my marriage…
My friend, if we seek first the Kingdom of God (Matt 6:33) then God will supply all your other needs. That would include helping us move on. When we desire God and delight in Him, then God WILL give us the desires of our heart (Psalm 37). Read that Psalm and see how you can receive the desires of your heart but it is if you are delighting in God first.

Hello Chris. Thank you for your prayer request. Let me say that your prayers seem to be mostly about money and prosperity. Not that God doesn’t want us to be rich but let me ask you…do you tithe? How much offerings do you give in your church on Sundays or to help the poor? Do you have a church home? You must first pursue God and His holiness and put Jesus’ kingdom first (Matt 6:33) and only then will God give you these other things. Unless you delight yourself in God first, He will not give you the desires of your heart (read Psalm 37).

Hey there, I need some prayer. I’m in a situation with my husband of 2 1/2 years. He keeps lying to me about talking to his ex. Currently he doesn’t know that iv seen the messages in his phone and when I asked if he’s heard from her he laughs and says the only girls he texts or emails are me and his sister. Of course I know he’s outright lying, but I’ve kept my mouth shut because confronting him in the past only leads to blow ups. The text conversations seem innocent enough but it’s the lying that hurts. So I need wisdom and help from above. I love my husband, and though I’ve been counseled to separate I really don’t want to. I have a baby girl and don’t want her caught up in drama. I have faith that our powerful creator can turn my husbands heart around and the deceit and painful parts of our marriage can be healed… Please please pray, I will appreciate it greatly!!!

Hello Heidi. I am so sorry. You are right in saying only God can help you and He alone can change the human heart (Prov 21:1). He doesn’t sound like he is saved (read 1 John). I am glad you didn’t listen to those who are asking you to separate. I will gladly pray for you friend for that is the only change of help in praying to God to convict him of this sin, to repent, confess, and put his trust in Jesus Christ.

But I remember that these problems are only symptoms of the condition of his soul, and my shoving the truth in his face won’t help him at all… Thank you for the encouragement. I am beginning to agree with you. After nearly 50 years of continueous struggle every day, in every way, even forjust the basics of food/shelter/clothing. Blessings are few and far between. I have absolute belief in God/Jesus (I have had glimpses of His power and glory), but my faith in His promises is being strained. And yes, I have totally surrendered to the Lord. I have done everything I know of prayer, trusting, waiting, fasting, tithing, praising, worshiping, communion, proclaiming, clean living, denouncing sin, breaking curses, casting out fear, etc. etc. etc.. My current health has me with life threatening problems and living on medicaid and food stamps to survive. I have worked since I was twelve years old and despite praises from all my employers, I never was able to achieve even enough to support myself or family properly. As I said, I am nearly 50 years old and in poor health. If I have not received God’s promises and blessings in my life at this point, when will they come? How long do I have to struggle, be sick constantly, be rejected and abused, daily just trying to survive? My plight affects my household by proxy, where is the justice in that, where is the peace, where are the promises? I know many of you are going to say I have not fully trusted or had enough faith etc. etc., but remember Job’s friends were wrong in thier accusations. You can’t weather the storm when it’s ALWAYS storming. And the joy doesn’t come in the morning, because the storm last all night, the morning, throughout the day and on and on. Don’t tell me I am exagerating either, until you have walked the years and miles in my shoes. My wife thought I was exagerating until we married and she became affected by it all. I have turned to Jesus again and again in everyway and yet I suffer. If you know of a true breakthrough I would love to know it, but I am beginning to believe that some people truly are destined to suffer.

You have been in the storm too long. You have done everything you know how to do. You have earnestly tried to obey God’s commandments. You have sinned ( all have sinned and come short of the glory) , you have asked God to forgive you for all of your sins and you have forgiven those who have sinned against you whether they asked for forgiveness or not. You did that for yourself. So that you would not block your own blessings holding on to the pain that comes from grudges. Now you are waiting for God to intervene in your life, like me and so many other Christians, and you can’t hear, see or feel HIM but you know that He is God and you believe that His plans for you are good. Consider this, God sent his prophets one by one for HIS children who shall be called by His name and these exact same folks killed HIS prophets one by one. God sent His only begotten son for HIS people, so that we might have life everlasting and life more abundantly, and HIS people killed HIS only begotten son. Since then innocent blood has been continued to be shed on the earth. God is not pleased and when Jesus returns God will destroy the earth. God is the master of the earth and everything in, upon and around the earth. You belong to Lord. Your pain is the Lord’s give it to Him. Let Him bear it with you, for you and to His glory in Jesus’ name I pray.
You must be reborn in the Spirit to see and walk in the Kingdom of God. The Spirit of God will make every word alive when you´re reborn in the Spirit.

I just want to say that God has always been there for me. I could always hear Him and could feel the Holy Spirit guiding and supporting me.
I just lately passed my five year anniversary from April 3, 2009 when my life came to an end. I always prayed alot during the day I was a state police officer and supervisor I spent most of my time in a patrol car.
I can remember my prayers were a lot like they still are today. I always thanked God for the blessings He granted me. You would have to know me to really understand the depth of what that meant.
Now by myself after I lost everything in my life everything I had worked for and all that I had given to make sure I did what God expected from me. Be a Christian husband, father, and son. Now it has all been taken from me not just the material but my son and wife and my duty that I owed to them. I always knew that people even Christians could have their lives changed or destroyed. Then to have your reputation and moral standing trashed by the media and the trust and respect you hold for a spouse just worn away. Not having anyone to turn to no friends no family no one to talk to or offer comfort. Even feeling like God has forgotten to pray every night that God would take mercy and let me die in my sleep. Just to wake day after day disappointed it didn’t happen. I have lived my life by the promises I made long ago to always treat people exactly the way I would expect to be treated, never cheat or the dishonor my wife or cause them undue burdens because of my actions. I know that when I sin it is against God first but my family and friends always came second.
I wanted them to respect, honor and have unconditional love for me because that is what I gave. In my work I never let it come before God and family. Then just one thing one moment out of your whole life of no trouble to the world turning on me, I was now on looking in

It is my prayer that our sweet Savior comforts you in your time of trouble. And it is my prayer that you know that God has not forgotten you, and that He knows how much you are able to handle…measured by your faith. I too have been thru a disasterous time in the last 2 months where I have been betrayed and lied to by someone I loved, and I too felt as if dying would be better than the intense pain and sorrow I was experiencing. It had been a struggle just to get thru the day but it’s getting better each day – I promise you if you stay in God’s word, pray listen to spiritual music, and allow others to minister to you – you will begin to come out of your storm. God is the same God today that He was back then, His Word is true and will never fail. There are so many scriptures I could point you to, but the most current one I read last night is in Isaiah 43:1-4.

Thank you. These scriptures are indeed helpful. I’ve been praying and praying for God’s guidance. I am a believer. I don’t understand why my life has taken this turn. I’m lost. I’ve done everything I know how to do and I’m standing on every word that proceedeth from the mouth of God. I’m listening for an answer. I’ve been in this storm too long. I’m beginning to believe that this season will not end. It is God’s plan that I remain in this season. But I’m confused and God did not give us a spirit of confusion. If it is God’s will that Imremain in the lion’s den then I pray that He keeps me. My life is His to do whatever pleases. I know that He lives. I know that Jesus is Lord and Savior. I know that I’ve been praying and that I’ve been in this storm too long. My redeemer lives. My redeemer lives!

when you hold on to promises of God , first you have to thank and praise Lord for for what he has given us. count on your blessings first. There may be many, though we wont realise. I myself have experienced this. Praise the Lord
