End Times: Are We in the Last Days?

by Jack Wellman · Print Print · Email Email

What are the signs that we are living in the last days before Jesus Christ’s return? Are we in the end times?  Are there signs in the Bible which we can read that tell us that we are living in the days just prior to His coming again?  What Scriptures reveal that we could be living in the very last days before Jesus comes to judge the world?

Perilous Times

The study of the end times is called Eschatology which basically means a study of the end things. The end things in this case is a study of the end times and deciphering the nearness of Christ’s return based upon Scriptures.  Eschatology is concerned with the end of the present age and events that lead up to Jesus Christ’s return to judge the unsaved world and to reward believers for their good works or the lack thereof.

End Times

The sad fact is that for those who choose today to not believe in Jesus Christ, that day will be a terrible one.

In the first place, we don’t have to look for any prophecy in the Bible to be fulfilled before Jesus can return again.  The sad fact is that for those who choose today to not believe in Jesus Christ, that day will be a terrible one.  For those who are not believers, they will face eternal judgment and have no second chance for salvation and escaping hell.  For those who today have already placed their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, they will receive their rewards.  Today is the day of salvation for the unsaved because He can return at any given moment (2 Cor 6:2).

In Paul’s last letter to Timothy and having the knowledge that his death was imminent, he warned Timothy by telling him to, “mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people” (2 Tim 3:1-5).  Certainly, Paul was right that “evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived” (2 Tim 3:13).

These verses have come to pass into their fullness today.  Read these things written in 2 Timothy and you can see them already prevalent in society:  greed is unbelievable, children are rebelling against parents, people are lovers of themselves, people are full of pride, boastful, abusive, ungrateful, having no natural love, unforgiving, no self-control (with sexual immorality rampant), brutal, and having a hypocritical look of godliness but living in duplicity.  These appear to be more so today than in Paul’s day.

Scoffers of God

When someone scoffs at the idea of there being a God they ridicule believers even more when they say that people have been talking about Jesus’ coming for hundreds of years.  This persecution has not been helped by the many false prophets who have claimed to have special revelations from God and set dates for Jesus’ return.  Not one of them of course has been right because no one knows the date of Christ’s Second Advent (Matt 24:36).  The Benny Hinns and Harold Campings of this world have served to only exacerbate the idea of Jesus’ certain coming as being a myth and they have, unfortunately, helped to create a world of skeptics.  These false prophets are fortunate that they didn’t live in the Old Testament times because false prophets were stoned to death for such false prophecies then.

The longer the period of time of Christ’s return is, the more skepticism will increase, but Peter warned us about this natural tendency in 2 Peter 3:3-4, “Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” What Peter is saying in his last letter is that people have been saying this ever since his ancestors were around.  It is much like in the days of Noah, prior to the flood, in which Noah spent 120 years warning people of an impending flood of judgment to come. If they laughed at Noah, they will laugh at believers. But believe God, judgment is coming as Peter warned by the comparison of Noah’s time saying, “By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the Day of Judgment and destruction of the ungodly” (2 Pet 3:6-7).

Signs of the End Times

Jesus gave the greatest list of the signs of the times that would be occurring prior to His return to the earth.  The Olivet Discourse is known as the single, longest and greatest prophecy of the end of the age in the Bible and since Jesus Himself gives it, we can certainly know that it is accurate.  His disciples had just come out of the temple with Christ and they had commented on the majesty of the temple, but Jesus instead turned their attention to the end time events that would occur just prior to His return.  In Matthew 24:3 the disciples asked Jesus a very pointed question of “what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” Many of these prophecies have already been fulfilled.  In Matthew 24, Jesus gives us these signs that we are living in the last days.

“Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.  For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many” (v 4-5).  There have been no shortages of fanatics claiming to be Jesus, even in the 1st Century.

“You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.  Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains” (v 6-8).  Once more, these have been already occurring and at an ever increasing rate.  The number of earthquakes and famines that follow war are growing exponentially, but a sober warning from Jesus is that He says that “these are (only) the beginning.”

Jesus continues by prophesying, “At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold” (v 10-12).  Many have turned their back on God, on believing in a God, on church attendance, and have began to hate one another instead of Christ’s command to love one another and become lukewarm not only for Christ but for other people (1 Cor 13, John chapters 15-17, Rev 3:14-19).

As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man” (v -37-39).  Peter may have used the days of Noah from the reference given by Christ (2 Pet 3:3-4).  People will be going on as if everything were normal; marrying, eating dinner, drinking at parties, like it would go on forever, but suddenly, just like the flood came, so too will be “the coming of the Son of Man” but it will then be too late.

Just as it will be too late for those in Noah’s day to escape death from the flood, the unsaved will face judgment from Jesus Christ.  The people in Noah’s day pounded on the door of the Ark, but it was God Himself that sealed the door shut and it was too late (Gen 7:16).  God had given them 120 years to repent but they only laughed at Noah.  Just when people see the Son of Man coming, they will realize that it is too late.  Jesus said, “And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory” (Matt 24:30). What mourning it will be for the lost for they will be eternally separated from God and be judged, but for those who are Christ’s own, “he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other” (Matt 24:31). These are they who have already placed their faith in Christ and trusted Him with their eternal salvation.  What a time of rejoicing for them but what a time of terrible grief for those who will not ever be with their departed loved ones who are believers in Christ.

Here is a summary of the signs in the world that precede Jesus Christ’s second coming:

  • Skepticism
  • Greed
  • Pride
  • Scoffing
  • Sexual immorality
  • Boastfulness
  • Hypocrisy
  • Unforgiving
  • Slander
  • Abusive
  • Rebellious
  • Wars increasing
  • Earthquakes increasing
  • Increasing famines
  • Increase of false prophets
  • Increase of false prophecies of Jesus’ Second Advent
  • Drinking parties

If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ, today you can have the saving faith that comes only in believing in Him.  There is no other way to escape judgment (Acts 4:12).  If you want to be saved from the wrath of God and receive eternal life, click on the link at the top of this website where it says, “Come to Jesus” and you can be saved today.  God is patient but He will not wait forever (2 Pet 3:9).  Today is the day of your salvation because no one has any guarantee that they will live beyond today (2 Cor 6:2).  My hope and prayer is that anyone who is unsaved and reading this might understand that we are indeed living in the last days.  These are the end times and it will be the beginning of their eternity in hell if they don’t come to saving faith today in Jesus Christ our Lord.  God doesn’t want you, your family, your friends, your co-workers, or anyone to perish (2 Peter 3:9).   I do not want that and neither should you.

Good information here Jack, Being aware of these signs of the times should cause us to “look up”. It should cause us to be even more fervent for the need of many to come to Jesus. We see so many things that point to the coming of Jesus. One that I have noticed more and more is “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” (Matt 24:12). That love wax cold … This is parents murdering their children; born and unborn. Children murdering each other in schools. Increased Sexual immorality with nothing but pure physical satisfaction and no love at all. People protesting and attacking each other for political gain. It has been going on for thousands of years, but today it is illuminated in the blatant disrespect that we see at all levels.

Thank you for reminding us that we have a job to do and that time is short and for the love that you show in your closing statement, which I choose to repeat here: “God doesn’t want you, your family, your friends, your co-workers, or anyone to perish (2 Peter 3:9). I do not want that and neither should you.”

I agree with you wholeheartedly brother. Keep up the good work, you are such a blessing to so many here at WCWTK!

Here are a couple more articles about “real” love:

Amen Pam. I believe every minute that pass’s is another minute lost for someone who could have heard the gospel. I know that know one has any guarantee for tomorrow and that Christ’s return will end their chance for salvation so thank you so much for your evangelizing comment. That’s a high priority indeed, and as for your compliment…..

I can do nothing of my own but only thru Christ Jesus so we truly know who deserves all credit, glory, honor, and praise and I’m pretty sure its not me! LOL Seriously though it is Jesus and Him alone. Thank you nonetheless for your encouraging words. I believe you have not only been gifted by God as a writer/teacher, but also as an encourager.

Please jack I have a question to ask about the coming of our Lord Jesue, the question is if I give my life to Christ and after it I go back in to sin and Christ came and meet me in that sin will he still forgive me and take me to heaven?

Jack Wellman September 10, 2015 at 1:51 pm

If you have given your life to Christ, why would you want to go back into sin? Read 1st John chapter 3 and see whether you should do this or not. If we choose to sin willfully, we can not have assurance of Jesus taking us into the kingdom at all my friend.

Laurie Ellingson November 28, 2021 at 6:30 am

Define willful sin please Jack cause we are sinners saved by grace and by Jesuses precious blood I could be wrong but you make it sound like by accepting Jesus we all of a sudden are perfect and will never sin again or struggle with it. As long as we are human we will struggle with it and at times succumb to it as we are human and in the flesh and what other sin can there be but willful sin?

Stephen A. Braimah November 29, 2021 at 3:31 pm

DearSister Laurie, willful sin is when we (Believer) eihr take advantage of or tke it for granted that BESAUSE OF GRACE I CAN COMMIT SIN AND NOT EXPECT GOD’S DISAPPROVAL OF OUR SIN. In addition to Pastor Wellman’s comment (see above), please read Romans Chapter … 21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!

So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature[d] a slave to the law of sin. (WHEN WE SIN WILLFULLY, MAYBE OUR OLD, SINFUL NATURE HAS NOT BEEN PUT TO DEATH. We have to question our salvation and IF NEEDED, RECOMMIT TO HRIST THROUGH REBIRTH.)

An old man with a “Sandwich- Board”

When I was young and growing up in Edinburgh, the Capital of Scotland, during the 1940s and 50s, it was a time of great change after the effects of World War 2 – a time both of austerity, rationing, hard work and the blossoming of a new social freedom, though we were far behind London and the United States with that. There was, naturally, no Internet and almost no television and telephones were mainly only for the wealthy. During my childhood and, later, at university there, there was an old man who walked the streets of Edinburgh all day every day, rain or shine, winter or summer, with an even then old-fashioned “Sandwich Board” of the kind used for advertising in those days – two large boards worn one on the chest and one on the back and slung over his shoulders on straps.

Front and rear the boards read “Repent ye, for the Day of the Lord is at hand”.

That man spent perhaps twenty years of his life, to my knowledge, warning the world of the possible end of the things we knew at any moment, and to prepare ourselves for it. After those days, I don’t know how long his health permitted him to continue, as I had had to emigrate to England for a job.

Now we have vastly wider, faster and more efficient ways of spreading that same message, but I fear that where it is found at all, it falls on progressively deafer ears.

An old man with a Sandwich Board seemed to have a much stronger message than today’s electronic trumpets, perhaps because it could be seen that he was investing his life in his message – it was personal. It was powerful. We seem to have lost that touch, sadly.

There have been many evangelists over recent years warning the world and doing their best to rescue people from themselves and bring them to Faith, but for each one rescued I am sure that there were many more who became sceptical and believed the evangelists were on an egotistical power-trip and joyfully collecting donations for their own benefit. Cynicism has gained a firm hold.

Is there perhaps a stronger way of spreading the News to a wider audience, and convincing them, than the Internet and the use of Social web-sites? I hope that there are teams of people all over the world working hard to try to find such a way, but is there any news of a breakthrough anywhere? I would love to hear about it!

Please give me that good news – something even more powerful and wide-spreading than an old man in the rain and wind-blown sleet with his Sandwich Board!

All I can sum up with is what that old Sandwich-Board man had to say, which impressed even some of us hard drinking and wenching self-centred sceptical Students :-

“Repent ye, for the Day of The Lord is at hand!”

Jack February 27, 2012 at 6:37 pm

Thank you Quentin. Well said. I’d say word of mouth, although there are far fewer to reach with this message. Repentance is actually a good thing and not a fox-hole conversion. Not a fearful conversion but a tearful conversion. What you have said though has been said for many years, yet the Lord’s return will come nonetheless. As Peter said in 2:3-4, “They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” The conclusion, verse 7-8 “By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.”

And why has the Lord tarried? Verse 9-10 “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare”

Second Peter 2 brings it all out. Saying that, if we fail to warn others, its not good for us either (Ezekiel 3:18).

I will gladly pray for your family and that God sends His Holy Spirit to convict them to repent, confess their sins, see their need of a Savior, and then put their trust in Him. There is no other way. I love your desire for them to be saved. That is a very godly thing to do and I thank God for you Mary. (p.s., I am a father and grandfather and my daughter’s name is Mary!).

Praise God, Jesus is indeed coming soon.

Jack March 1, 2012 at 2:45 pm

Amen Samson. I truly believe this is all the more reason that we must be going out to share the gospel with those who do not yet know Jesus Christ. Thank you for your comment. I agree.

jonathan Augustine September 7, 2012 at 3:16 pm

wen is d end time?

Jack Wellman September 7, 2012 at 10:23 pm

Jonathan…we really don’t know when the end times are exactly. They appear to be close but we must live every day like it is the day that Christ returns. Be always ready…for He could come at any time. Truly I don’t know when the end time is exactly for Jesus said “No man knows the hour or the day” so be ready…it could be today or tomorrow!

Trish Zeinert September 8, 2012 at 9:01 am

What type of sign is the Democratic party removing God from their party platform? What can one deduce with all the nays regarding adding God back to the platform at the DNC? What of adding God (albeit in only one instance) when the nays were equal to if not greater than the ayes; to pass requires 2/3 of the vote. Same sex marriage, tax payer funded abortions with no restrictions, idols…… Is this the political party of the damned? It is frightening that approximately 50% of our nation believe in values as these.

Jack Wellman September 9, 2012 at 4:03 pm

Trish, you are so right. I believe this is yet another sign of the great apostasy that is building & the Democrats actually booed the inserting of God and Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. This is why many years ago I left Democratic party…because they have left God. Thanks for such a great and insightful comment that is spot on the mark of truth.

Shea July 3, 2019 at 9:25 pm

I left the democratic party too. They are antiGod. Against freedom, I don’t know what happened to them. They promote sin.

Chris Martel September 24, 2012 at 11:25 am

Hello again Jack,

For the past couple of weeks I have been researching the books of Hosea and Amos, they have been incredibly difficult to grasp. But the third time I read Hosea it hit me like a ton of bricks, God was HURTING, he was hurting because the Israelis had turned away from him. Then reading Amos, which I am still trying to understand, what I believe it means is that all those nations against Israel were going to be under judgement, including Israel! Amos was ordered to return to his home and prophesy there, he was to desist prophecying in Israel.
Here is the point, the USA is behaving just as badly as did Israel during the time of Hosea and Amos, as with Amos, the Christian church has been under attack and basically told to shut up. Even the church I belong to is under attack, the homosexual lobby is attempting to throw the Boy Scouts off church property because they do not allow gays in the organization. This issue is still ongoing, and what it is doing is eroding the confidence and moral standings of not only the Boy Scouts, but also of the rest of the congregation. I informed the vestry if they did attempt this move I would leave the church. Come to find out, I wasn’t the only one, many more rallied to the defense of the Boy Scouts.
This is but one battle in the war against the Christian church, there are so many prongs of this attack that it is hard to keep track of, bottom line, I firmly believe most churches will succumb in one form or another to these attacks, knowingly or otherwise. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find a church that will stand firm with the Lord, every day I hear of more churches openly embracing one form of apostasy or another, and this I believe, could very well be a portent that we are indeed in the end times.
As I said, this is but one battle, we have the federal government turning their back on Isreal, civil liberties are being crushed, and more and more Christians are being portrayed as “intolerant”, and the more that message is trumpeted through the MSM the more people buy into it. I have begun to proselytize, not as much as I should, but I have been talking to coworkers about the truth of Jesus, I can tell you it is not easy, I am a Correctional Officer and most C/O’s do not want to be preached to.
When I look at the overall picture of what is taking place in the world, how our morals and standards are being, in some cases forcibly, compromised I cannot help but think one of two things are taking place, 1. either the entire world has gone stark raving mad, or 2. that the hour of the Lord could well be upon us.

Jack Wellman September 25, 2012 at 4:39 pm

Chris, this is very good info. I had not looked into Hosea and Amos in this exact light to say for sure. I have limited time as you know my friend. Let me apologize for responding so late to this very insightful post.

You are right…last Saturday I witnessed to some bikers in our city at a Bikers Festival and felt like Psalm 23 in the valley of the shadow of death, yet we are still at least being obedient, while 98% of Christians do not proselytize (how tragic, yet I was in that group for most of my Christian life).

I see all of the outrage by the Muslim world over the video on You Tube and it is amazing. Its like Satan knows his time is short & so he’s inciting the whole world and the intolerance-view of Christians as narrow-minded bigots is exponentially growing, even though we are not saying its narrow, Jesus is (Acts 4:12). Keep fighting the good fight of faith brother. Proud to know you. Time is short it appears, not much daylight left to work and the harvest fields are white with ripeness!

Shea July 3, 2019 at 9:28 pm

The bible and the GOSPEL in 2019 is Hate Speech to the unsaved.

Jack Wellman July 4, 2019 at 8:23 am

Yes, I see your point Shea. They hated Jesus without a cause, even though He came to redeem us (Mark 10:45)…thank you my friend.

Margaret September 26, 2012 at 11:20 am

Could you please provide an article that goes into detail about the “days of Noah”? including the giants, their origins, the Nephilim and how it really is going to be. . . not the “seth line” deceiving story that has been passed down from generation to generation? thanks.

Jack Wellman September 26, 2012 at 8:36 pm

Thank you Margaret for your question. You must be referring to this Scripture:

“There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. ” (Genesis 6:4)

Let’s see what we can find out about the Nephilim from this verse.

The word “giants” means the following, from Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible #5303:

nephiyl (nefeel’); or nephil (nefeel’); from 5307; which means properly a feller, i.e. a bully or tyrant. A feller or bully is just like a thug or like a gangster is today…this is NOT referring to size. The word “giants” is a misinterpretation of the Hebrew. So it really doesn’t mean a giant like the one in Jack and the Beanstalk but rather a bully or tyrant, of large stature. We have plenty of those around today. If we look in dictionaries like Nelson’s we will see something like the following:

Here is my source:

NEPHILIM, a word of uncertain meaning (Genesis 6:4; Numbers 13:33), (NIV, NEB, NASB, RSV translations), translated as giants by the KJV and NKJV. Scholars believe they were descended from famous rulers, outstanding leaders, and mighty warriors who lived before the Flood. These men, so the theory goes, gathered great harems and were guilty of the sin of polygamy. (from Nelson’s Bible Dictionary, (c) 1986, Thomas Nelson Publishers).

Steven Dodge October 8, 2013 at 6:52 pm

i Thought that Goliath was over nine feet tall. and what about king Og?

Jack Wellman October 8, 2013 at 7:35 pm

Thank you Mr. Dodge. After researching about King Og, and after centuries later the developing science of palaeontology discovered that the purported Giant was an elephant. And later still, it turned out to be an extinct mastodon. The Washington Post story links to an article by Taika Helola Dahlbom (“A Mammoth History: The Extraordinary Journey of Two Thighbones”, Trends in Cell Biology 31.3 (2007): 110-114): http://remnantofgiants.wordpress.com/2011/04/13/a-giant-the-size-of-king-og-found-in-belgium/

Also, I believe that Goliath was probably close to 9 feet tall but the question was about whether angels married and had sex with women to produce giants. Since angels can not have sex and there has been no archeological evidence to support “giants” at least 10 feet tall or more, we must believe that these were just big men like Shaq, perhaps taller, but not much more. We don’t know the exact measurements of a cubit since that is measured from between the tip of the middle finger to the elbow and it highly depends upon whose finger-tip-to-elbow you are using to measure.

Margaret September 26, 2012 at 12:18 pm

This is the third in his series about “days of noah” related items. Watching one and two will help immensely. Excellent teaching to really tell it like it is showing us what we will really be facing in these end times.

deola November 4, 2012 at 5:19 pm

having read through the piece i think is a good one .jesus is coming back soon.if only we the church can stop pursuing vanities and go all out to preach salvation to the lost then a lot of people can make heaven

Michael Halleen November 18, 2012 at 2:58 am

I know that the church that stands is the roman catholic church and the fall of babylon is the trade population in the world these things are evident yes but i know that dec 21 2012 is the not the end but i have fallen and turned my back on Him and i do not see myself in the near future turning back to Him please give me spiritual intervention and help me in my dillema

Jack Wellman November 18, 2012 at 12:55 pm

Hello Michael. Everyone falls short of the glory of God and we have all sinned, but we can repent, then confess our sins, and trust that He will cleanse us from all unrighteousness ( 1 John 1:9). Let me show you from the Bible what it means to be saved and what is involved:

Rom 10:9-13, “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all(H) and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

That is it! You must repent, confess your sins, profess Jesus’ as Lord and Savior, and put your trust in Him and not only will you be saved, you ARE saved!

For spiritual intervention, read the gospel of John, pray daily, join with a local church to grow in grace and knowledge, and stay humble like you are now for God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). He will never cast you away if you trust in Him (John 6:44) and can remain firmly in Jesus’ grasp and in the Father’s grasp (John 10:28-29).

Gracious Chavula December 16, 2012 at 5:27 pm

Just to help a bit Michael, God’s love for a human being is so great that the mind of a man can’t comprehend. As Mr Wellman said, its not too late for you to turn to Jesus today because you never know if you may be there tomorrow. The Bible tells us that if you repenf, God if just and faithful to forgive you. 1John 1v9. And you may be thinking that your sin is too big to be forgiven, no God in his Love for you Michael, and me says; Come let us reason together as red as blood our sins might be,He will make them as white as snow. Now,because we don’t know the day and time of the Lord’s return, you don’t have tomorrow, it belongs to Him. So you better repent and come back to Him today. Hebrews 3v7-14. Mr Wellman will add more emphasis.

Jack Wellman December 16, 2012 at 5:33 pm

Amen to what Gracious said. I love to tell those that TODAY is THE day of salvation for tomorrow is no guarantee (2 Cor 6:2). I beg you to click on “Come to Jesus” to be certain that your trust is in Christ and not in any man-made Mayan myth.

I thought that even after Christ’s returning that there would be some that gave their hearts to Jesus.

Jack Wellman November 24, 2012 at 12:27 pm

Hi Kymberly. It is believed that some will be saved thru the Tribulation but their is no guarantee that if you have heard the gospel today that you will be saved then. The Bible teaches that “today is the day of salvation” not “A” day but “THE” day so we should not wait until He returns (2 Cor 6:2). Paul said behold, NOW is the day (2 Cor 6:2).

I urge you to read Matthew 13:41-42 and 2 Thess 1:7-10 is clear, “This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.”

It is not a matter of “Giving your heart to Jesus” but about repenting today (2 Cor 6:2), confessing our sins today (1 John 1:9) and putting your trust in Christ to save you for tomorrow may be too late.

wally November 29, 2012 at 2:04 am

How do you feel about all of these assumptions of Christ’s return? Like December 21, 2012

Jack Wellman November 29, 2012 at 1:49 pm

I do not believe Wally that there are assumptions of Christ’s return but certain promises of God that He will return again. The Dec. 21st 2012 is not tied to Christianity but a false, mythological belief that has no truth in it sir. I do know that Jesus said that no man knows the day or the hour of His return and so anyone that sets a date is a false teacher and they will face the wrath of God someday. We must be saved today for today is the day of salvation (2 Cor 6:2). When we trust in Christ, we don’t have to assume anything but can know for certainty that we are saved for eternal life comes from believing in Jesus Christ alone (John 3:16-17). Thank you Wally.

wally November 30, 2012 at 12:16 am

Thank you Mr. Wellman! I always tell others who bring this situation up that no man knows the return of the Lord. Not even his angels know! I am doing all that I can to be a good Christian and try lead others to that direction. When these assumptions come up in conversations I always bring up that the only thing that we can do is keep our head in the bible and not easily expose to what others predict. It seems like every situation that occurs during the world today, they relate it to the end of time. It is an interesting topic to me. I was also told this and wanted to ask how you felt about this, do you agree that there is more good than bad in the world?

Jack Wellman November 30, 2012 at 2:35 pm

Hello again Wally. I believe there is some good in the world but the world is declining spiritually and will continue to do so as Christ’s return draws nearer. Whether there is more bad than good or vice versa, I couldn’t say but I do know that only God is good. And every situation that does occur that is “bad” works together for the good in God’s sovereignty and points to the Ultimate Solution and that is the reign of the King of kings and Lord of lord, Jesus Christ.

Adam brown December 7, 2012 at 10:19 am

Mr Wellman,

We have been having wars and earthquakes and famine and hatred ever since before Jesus walked this earth. I am a firm Christian, and i love the Lord with all of my heart and soul.. But what makes all those things happening today put us closer to the second coming?

Jack Wellman December 7, 2012 at 7:09 pm

I am not saying that these things make it closer to Christ’s return but Matthew 24 seems more and more relevant each and every day. The fact is that every day we are close to His return and the world is not going to get better but I believe it will grow worse and worse leading up to the time of His coming. Every day puts us closer and closer.

pina March 5, 2013 at 11:49 pm

Mr Brown,
Just to add on to what Mr Wellman has said, I believe maybe since our days are numbered we have to live everyday as if its our last day on earth…so before the sun goes down each day, we have to confess every little sin we did and then try and live a very PURE life as if tomorrow is the judgement day.

Jack Wellman March 6, 2013 at 1:26 pm

Amen Pina. Live like He is coming back today and see this as all the more reason to be a witness to Jesus Christ to enter the harvest to rescue the perishing.

Adam brown December 7, 2012 at 7:39 pm

I really feel like things will get alot worse before He comes to save us. But i do believe that its not going to get any better. i really feel like it won’t be in our life time.. I feel like it will be in my childs life… But who knows. I do appreciate your words. What are your thoughts sir?

Jack Wellman December 7, 2012 at 7:49 pm

I very much agree with you sir. My conclusion may have been the most important point of all in this article and that was that anyone who is unsaved and reading this might understand that we are indeed living in the last days or that they have no guarantee that they might live beyond tonight or tomorrow. These are the end times of anyone who dies before knowing Christ and it will be the beginning of their eternity in hell if they don’t come to saving faith today in Jesus Christ our Lord. Today is the day of salvation (2 Cor 6:2) because tomorrow may never come for some on this earth. Adam, we are blessed to have our eternity secure. The real purpose of this article was not so much to say the end is near but an end of life without Christ is the end of their hopes for eternal life. God doesn’t want anyone, their family, their friends, their co-workers to perish (2 Peter 3:9). I do not want that and I am sure Adam, neither do you so join with me in proclaiming Jesus as the only way to eternal life (Acts 4:12). That way, all fear of any end is gone.

Adam brown December 7, 2012 at 8:18 pm

Its very plain in black and white.. Its like my minister said.. ” i would rather give my life to God and be wrong, then believe in nothing and be wrong”. But Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father. And i will give my last breath to proclaim His righteousness. When i was younger (I’m 30), but i thought i could just go through the motions and everything would be ok. But now I’m married with a infant baby. And i truly feel blessed by the Lord one i gave my life to Him a couple years ago. Now there is not a day that goes by that i don’t thank Him for all the blessings that he has given me and my family. All Glory be to God.

Jimmy Cossey December 14, 2012 at 11:59 pm

Jack I’m 21 years old and I don’t go to church but I’m saved I think everything happens for a reason and I use to not believe in God then when I was in the lowest part of my life I heard this song by third day called thief and at this one part were it said “who is this man” talking about Jesus my body collapsed backward on the bed I was sitting on and I got the weirdest chills all over that was the first time i felt God and I still carried on like the rest of my lost generation than I moved away from all the sin of my home town and on the first night I had vision I was in a evergreen tree farm and I felt the cool air I knew then as I was sitting Indian style on ground it was a dream and I never have dreams I was never able to remember them at all so I tried slapping myself in face to wake up but I felt the sting of the slap and I was really there so I stood up and all the trees was same size and length but in perfect rows but as soon as I stood I heard a laughter that I never heard before it gives me chills thanking about it I started running down a the row and it got louder and it sounded like multiple ones all around me then my legs started getting weak so I slammed my face as hard as I could on the ground before my legs was useless and when I woke up at the foot of my bed was a shadow of a man that was huge about 450 pounds and like 10 feet tall I couldn’t see him just the outline of him cause it was really dark and he told me straighten up Jimmy boy judgment days coming then I can’t explain it but I woke up again and gasped for air and I was in tears that was two years ago and I turned 21 in September and I went to bar and went home with this girl and I smoked some weed with her and I use to smoke all the time but this night I did and she asked me if I felt uneasy cause I didn’t feel right then I was laying with her I was on my back and my arms stayed like my elbows to my side and I was reaching up for something and I couldn’t bring them down and I felt like I was dried up and I honestly thought I lost my soul and Jesus came but that girl wanted me to have sex and I think God put a stop to it and next day was a Sunday and I got home and I was acting not like my self I felt weird and Sunday night I had another vision I walked outside to my front yard and the sky was red and clouds was going in different directions and I knew it was another vision it was silent and I  tried to get  down on knees to repent but my knees wouldn’t buckle and out of no were the houses towards the city got wiped out and hit me it was so fast I woke up in tears it was like six in the morning I was suppose to be at work at 8 but I packed clothes and headed to country and I stopped at church and asked the preacher if I could buy a bible and he just gave me one and we talked and I got saved then I went to country and I sat down on this bench at the old school house in country and I said may your will be done God and I opened bible and i looked right at proverbs 4:20 and it was like God spoke to me I stayed there for two days and decided to go home and my job kept me but last night on Thursday December 13th I had another vision I was with my best friend at his house on sooners  campus and before we walk out I look at phone and there was a big 22 idk what it means but he opened door and we went out and there was huge tornado in front of us and on left and right and there was alot of people panicking and there was a lightning bolt that was staying on ground and it was hitting people and they would blow up and it was actually aiming to get everyone and me and my buddy started running and split up he was like 30 feet away from me when I looked back at him and it blew him up and like a blink of a eye hit me I didn’t feel it but I woke up with my heart pounding then I find out that 20 little kids get murdered and 7 adults and the same day in china a man stabbed 22 kids in school and then I go to infowars.com it exposes this satan government they are shipping tons of military equipment to middle east they said it could be biggest war there yet and Israel is at war right now and gays are getting married under God and were I work they are so far gone the way they say Lords name in vain all the time and lust and gossip and have hate in there hearts and on top of that they always Listen to this guy named Maynard James Keenan that has three popular bands that they all love that chants satan and bashes Christ it’s like his songs are prayers to the devil its terrible I try to do right but with a day of listening to there devil worship it ain’t hard to get lost but I believe the beast is technology and the sign of beast is gps chips that everyone is going to have to get cause the dollar is dead without technology we wouldn’t have the iphone with the apple with bit out of it that was the bite that caused death from Adam and eve it will be the reason that kids will lust and tv and movies that make blaspheme alright cause the satanic elites that put it on tv says it’s ok they are molding people for hell cause without the Holy Spirit your heart is disconnected to your brain and Jack God bless you man I will see you in heaven and what do you think of my visions cause I dont have dreams cause I never remember them I call myself Prophet 21 is that bad cause I’ve always had good heart  like the spirit was with me the whole time

Jimmy Cossey December 15, 2012 at 2:04 am

Jack I just read your article on prophets I can’t tell the futur maybe I’m crazy idk but I know I had a huge angel tell me to straighten up and the last two was doomsday visions they were all so real why do u think I had them cause I’m not like the rest of my generation the guys from my work took my invisible man card cause I wouldn’t go to a strip club cause it just don’t seem right and they made fun of me and stuff but I didn’t care but before I even got saved I was always a good guy so do you think I could have been born with the spirit cause my childhood could have turned out bad with foster home but I never dreamed and i had a heart if love

Gracious Chavula December 16, 2012 at 5:14 pm

Mr Jack, i am a born again, i have a friend of mine who is a gay. He is in The USA there. I met him on facebook. Tthen in the course of chatting, he became so open that he freely told me he is gay. But what surprised is that he told me its a blessing from God. When i referred him to the bible, one of the chapters being 1 Corinthians 6v9-10, i don’t know if he read it, but he said to me, he can’t be pushed as Aaliyah says. I wanted to know who is Aaliyah in America? Is it another god?

Jack Wellman December 16, 2012 at 5:30 pm

Hello Gracious. She was dancer and a beautiful singer, she sung rock the boat and a lot of other songs! She died in a plane crash on a return trip from shooting a music video in the Bahamas. The crash, which happened in Marsh Harbor, located on Abaco Island in the Bahamas, was determined to have been caused by the plane being overloaded.

Your friend is deceived. It is not a blessing from God but sin from the Devil. Ask him to show you what Scripture supports his statement that it is a blessing? Paul wrote, “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God“ (1 Cor 6:9-10).

In Revelation 21:8 it says, “the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

Ask him to read the following links. I do not believe he is saved for read 1John chapter 3 and see if this is so.

Gracious. December 17, 2012 at 12:10 pm

Thank you so much Mr Welman. Am still talking to him,but he seem to shut up completely. But i believe God will do what He can because am only Interceding for him now. He is even leading a group on facebook in which he has added, i believe his fellows. But am sending him verses and some explainations even though he isn’t responding. He is a mormont believer too.

Jack Wellman December 17, 2012 at 12:18 pm

I am grateful you sent Him the Scriptures and now it is in God’s hands and it is up to this man. I am surprised that he is a Mormon for even the Mormon’s understand that a lifestyle of living in homosexuality is sin according to the Bible. Thank you for being a faithful witness for Christ Gracious.

Trish Zeinert December 16, 2012 at 5:41 pm

Hi Jack,

I always believed we have a forgiving God not one to throw us on the ashes of hell because of our free will which he purposely provided.

I have not been a perfect person and committed a good share of sins; does this now mean I am doomed, no possibility of salvation? Is that not why Jesus was sacrificed? Sins of my past contributed to shaping me as a person who is very emphatic and caring of others, animals and humans.

If one learns from their sins and works diligently to improve their relationship with God then it is forgiven. We do need to ask for the forgiveness.

Warmest Regards,

Jack Wellman December 16, 2012 at 5:54 pm

Hi Trish. I agree. If you read 1 John chapter 3 it reveals that un-repentant sin that is not confessed is evidence that a person is not saved. You are right, I too have to come daily for a cleansing of my sins but 1 John 1:9 shows that we can be forgiven of all of our sins and Jesus became sin for us (2 Cor 5:21).

Having said that, to say that being homosexual or being gay is a blessing from God is an error of epic proportion and this is evidenced from 1 Cor 6, Rev 21 and many other places. A person can be saved who is still gay inside and still attracted to the same-sex but a practicing one that states that it is a “blessing from God” is gravely mistaken and we are to show those who believe such things as not true for their eternal soul’s sake and I do it in love for I am still a sinner but I don’t say, “Well, I’m a liar but its a blessing from God.” Do you see the difference Trish? No PRACTICING, UN-REPENTANT homosexual will be in the Kingdom of Heaven but those who are striving to overcome this sin, like I am striving to do so, and see it not as a blessing, will be shown to be striving because they see sin as wrong.

gracious Chavula December 17, 2012 at 1:52 pm

Trish, just to add on what Pastor Jack has said. I think if there wasn’t the word repentance or confession, then i would have agreed with you that even without asking for forgiveness, provided you have changed your deeds, was ok. But as long as these two words exist, and in the Bible, they to be practiced whenever one wants to come to God after falling off the faith. For example if you wronged somebody, and then you want to be forgiven by him or her, i don’t think the solution to that would be silennce. You eill have to go and tell the person why you want him to forgive you. So, why not to GOD? CAN YOU SEE HERE? OUR GOD IS THE God is the God of order. He wont just accept anything or any will of a man whom He has commanded to obey His commandment. Just the same as in your house, you need order of things, and this is God we are talking about here, He even nedds more Order than you and me need. Thank Pastor Jack for giving me sapce to write something.

Greg January 7, 2013 at 9:30 pm

Please take a moment to correct your spelling for “false profits” (prophets). Nitpicking, I know, but it looks bad.
God bless,

Jack Wellman January 7, 2013 at 11:03 pm

Thank you Greg for your comment. Actually, the “false profits” is a play on words where it is in the article for many of them are in it for the money and so that was why I spelled it the way I did instead of “prophets” but I believe you may have been referring to the “bullets” points and so I appreciate you pointing it out for it is indeed correct Thank you so much sir. My bad. I will correct it my friend. Thank you.

joseph rohland March 4, 2013 at 12:22 pm

Revelation actually refers to the fall of Jerusalem in 70 a.d. 1st century. ALL things were fulfilled by that time, then. Now the kingdom of God is with men. Rev.21:3 Google preterism.

kaylie April 3, 2013 at 10:58 pm

Hi I’m new to this and I really want to chang. Growing up have no guidense or anything about the. Lords. I was wanting to kno how do o go about changing how I can except god and Jesus in my life? I l know I want to I’m just not sure where to begin . I have .10 month old and its time. If there is anything I should read let me know just whatever helps. Thank you

Jack Wellman April 4, 2013 at 12:16 pm

Thanks Kaylie. I see that you need to be in a Bible-believing church to grow in grace and knowledge and have your child raised in a church that elevates Christ, talks about the cross, and upholds the Bible as being perfect. I would begin in the gospel of John and then 1, 2 and 3rd John. We have an article that addresses where to begin in reading the Bible at:

preteristaynrand July 21, 2013 at 4:08 am

The end times /last days occurred in the 1st century just as Jesus promised. It was the end times of the old covenant jewish religion and culture that Jesus ended, (the old heaven and earth) as He ushered in the Kingdom of God in the hearts of men, (the New Covenant in Christ Jesus wherein righteousness dwells.) Google preterism. Revelation 21:3 – “Now the Kingdom of God is with men.” 1st century original audience relevance. Eccl.1:4 “Generations come and generations go but the earth endures forever.”

erin November 11, 2013 at 9:49 pm

Dear Jack, hello! I have read your last two articles, and the kind and loving responses you give to those with questions, and confusion. It is obvious you love the Lord with your whole heart, and want to share His good news with a lost, and dying world. I love Jesus also, and gave my life/heart to Him at age 15, and now am 49. For the last five years, I have been concerned with “so-called” Christians who say they are but blaspheme God by still following this world. I have agonized in my heart, over and over, asking God to make sure that I don’t fall into the same trap, begging Him to save me from this world. I have a husband, and a lovely 21 yr. old daughter as well. It is easy to profess Jesus, but living for Him is very, very difficult. There is so much backlash from this world, and so much criticism, heartless bashing, and a general hatred for those who love the Lord. This is why I feel confused about your article in which you speak of the Illuminati as being “just a theory”. I have been studying this group very closely now for about 5 years, and I am very, very troubled that you are not warning people to watch out for their world-wide deception, and evil tricks, their general hatred for God, and for His people. This is a group of sick minded, warped, and twisted people who are not just “a theory”. They are a well-known collection of individuals who started their Ancient Babylonian Mystery Religion/Satanic/cult/occult practices in the middle 1700’s. (Adam Weishaupt founded the group called “the Illuminati”, but obviously these types of heathen worship have long, long been practiced as referred to throughout the Bible. In this case, they have merely given it a “new”name-which is typical of Satan and his deceptions.) This group is real. They exist, and were/are born and bred to elitist rare, ruling bloodlines which have infiltrated literally every aspect of society. Many people belong to this group from the entertainment, music, financial, news stations, political, etc., institutions. Our presidents who are in these specific groups of people are in it because of their bloodlines-13 bloodlines of the ruling classes who make up the core of these people. And they have a plan for the world-to rule it and bring in the Anti-Christ. It’s on our money(Look on the back of our $1 dollar bill-see the triangle, with the all-seeing eye, and the Latin printed below it. When translated it says “New World Order”. This was not an accident. It is a mockery of the American people, saying, “You people are so stupid that you don’t even know who rules you. So we are going to shove it in your face!”) Watch the news stations, and look at all their “eye” logos-they are bought out. Watch the last two years of half-time shows, and opening ceremonies for the Olympics. They are covered in occult symbols, and display occult shows before our very eyes- designed to indoctrinate the masses, and play out their rituals on a global scale for millions to watch unwittingly. I won’t even watch tv anymore-their logos, Satanic images, Satanic messages are literally everywhere-everywhere, and designed to cleverly indoctrinate our little children at a very, very young age. Look at “Nickelodeon” station for kids and see all their Satanic logos, and symbols; look at the Disney channel-it is loaded with Satanic symbols(not to mention that it is one of the most corrupt, Satanic kingdoms for their Satanic messages for children-look at the girls who started on the Mickey Mouse Club-Brittney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, etc. These young woman start out with cute, an innocent songs, and appearances; but, once they hit 16 everything starts to literally go to hell. They fall apart-start singing very sexual songs, become slutty, doing things you’d see in porn before a whole Nation to see. Ex: the latest scandals with Miley Cyrus. The things she does on stage and in her recent new videos are so vile, so revolting- they’d make a grown man blush, and make you want to cry for these poor, used girls.) These girls are programmed since birth, and there is sufficient evidence of this “human Illuminati programming” from many, many eye witnesses; as well as rescued victims; also from well known government programming such as MK Ultra, Operation Paperclip, Project Bluebird, etc. (Also, Walt Disney was a Satanic, drug using, child hating, God mocking man who knew exactly what he was doing until the day he died.) These people announce their presence “in plain sight” constantly. Many of our bills have the different bombings right on them. You merely have to fold it a certain way. By accident? All of our bombings, printed right on our money, by accident? It is part of the Satanic code of mockery-mock the victims. Obviously, I could go on and on how the Illuminati show themselves every single day, and work with all the super-powers of the world. Just look it up-you cannot deny their presence once you know what to look for. I am not saying to panic, but that we must turn to God for protection, and guidance in this matter. Have you heard of FEMA Camps? They are all over the States. Not to mention the plastic coffins set up for after we are killed for not obeying them and eventually not taking “the mark of the beast”. These coffins are set up everywhere-there are thousands of them, and witnessed by many people- not to mention you can look them up on the internet. All this makes complete sense when you read the Bible and see how the last days will play out. Satan has to have some absolutely incredible designs/plans in order to bring about a New World Order on earth to usher in the Anti-Christ. God tells us what to look for, what to expect, and what we will see. The Illuminati is a huge web of deceit and uses its drones to carry out everything to perfection-right in front of the world’s eyes. Ever hear of Project Blue Beam? Project HAARP? These projects are capable of projecting holographic images into the sky-and these look completely real- fake clouds, fake planes flying, fake aliens, fake anything they want to project. They are also using their technological advances to create creepy sounds all over the earth in various, strange places. Do you know what kind of deceptions are possible with such things? Fake rapture? Can you imagine what this could do to the real church of Christ? We must be prepared to know these things, so that when we see “great signs and wonders in the sky”-just as Jesus predicted- we will know what to disregard, what not to believe, what not to follow, what to look for in deception, etc. Jesus Himself say that these signs and wonders will be so great that many will be deceived-even the elect of God, if that were possible. He will protect and shield us, but we must know what we are up against so we are not one of the deceived masses. I hope you understand why I am troubled by your stance. We must stop denying these things-for even the churches are suffering from Satanic teachings that have slipped in. We are in trouble. Another example I will use is Oprah(who is pure Illuminati-she is a billionaire, she has the access to millions of people, and helped fund Obama’s campaign…) I have seen and heard many Christians who have been suckered into her unbelievable, blasphemous New Age teachings which among many evil things, teaches that “one should get over the old rugged cross”, and that “we can become our own gods”, and etc. Oprah’s teachings are steeped in preparing individuals for “a different kind of Christ consciousness”( a word they use a lot)-one that suits the Illuminati’s evil agenda. She is a puppet, played out on a global scale, the teachings, and mind set they will set up for the Anti-Christ, and his brief, but hellish rule. These people are extremely influential in our society(elitists, musicians, talk show hosts, distractions using people like: Paris Hilton, movie stars, Kim Kardashian, raunchy tv shows, sports figures, etc. to all help shape our thinking into their thinking) and shape the minds of unsuspecting individuals who are completely unaware.(All one has to do is to watch these videos by Lady Gaga,Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Brittney Spears, Eminem, Jay Z(and his wife), Kanye West, Taylor Smith, Katie Perry, Marilyn Manson, etc. to see the horrific negative images, and demonic influences they are “entertaining” us with. They are literally steeped in Illuminati symbols-triangles, the “all-seeing eye”, baphomet, sexual Satanic rituals, underground experiments on humans, hand signals, alien concepts, marrying Satan, being born into Satan’s kingdom, lyrics glorifying the gay lifestyle, transhumanism/robots, Marshall law, bombings, police state themes everywhere, and etc. I am concerned, and cannot for the life of me understand why such an intelligent, kind, God-fearing man is not warning people on your site what to watch out for concerning these things. Teens/young adults are steeped in these images/symbols, and are falling victims to their mind control, as well as older adults. We must talk about these issues, and acknowledge these deadly forces in order to combat them with our Father, the name of Jesus, His holy Spirit of complete truth, and prayer. Surely, Jesus Himself commands us to expose this sort of evil, and save unsuspecting masses from the lies of the enemy, for they are many. God’s church must be prepared, so as not to be blind sided from the enemy.Yet, we know from His Word, that God will prevail, and Satan loses in the end. The Lord will fight for us. God’s blessings, and love, and peace be with you and your family, always. =)

Jack Wellman November 11, 2013 at 9:59 pm

Erin, I have been hearing more and more about the Illuminati and am convinced that such a form as this group may indeed exist but the part where the theoretical part exists is that they have power over God’s sovereignty. I do agree with those who claim to be Christians and yet have no fruits of the Spirit. When someone lives one way and then claims to be born again, I can’t see their lives aligning up with what I call the test for Christians if you read 1 John chapter 3. I would be interested if you read that and let me know what you think. What is sad is that many who profess Christ may not actually posses Christ and that they may hear these terrible words someday soon in Matthew 7:21-23 where Jesus warns that “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'” How horrible that will be. Jesus will say that “I didn’t know you well, I didn’t have a close relationship but He will say that I NEVER even knew you. They say “Lord, Lord” and anytime a name is used twice it is a sign of knowing someone intimately so these false tares in the church or out of the church THINK they are Christians but have deceived themselves. Many times I get bashed for almost every article at least a few times but it is not from unbelievers but from those who profess to be believers. How sad.

I know that these end times will get bad but I fear no Illuminati nor any world power for my trust is in God Who is sovereign over all and even the pagan kings of old were like channels of water in God’s hands and He directs them wherever He wills. Thanks Erin for your kind words.

Dear Jack, thank you for your prompt, and kind response. I do have some questions. When you say that you get bashed from “other Christians” from different articles, what do you mean by “bashed”? Because “bashed” can mean that: 1)Someone has taken your words and used them against you, and deliberately tried to discredit you,or 2) Someone(a Christian) may have a different opinion and may be trying to understand you, but also not agree with your point, or 3) Someone may just want to argue foolishly, and tear you apart just to be cruel, etc. So, when you say that some Christians “bash” you, I hope that it is not number 2, because if a fellow Christian sees a point(s) that they do not feel is correct- it is wise to show you in love what they feel is wrong. And none of us are 100% right all the time, and need things pointed out to us-I know I do- a lot! And not always agreeing with you does not mean that they are “bashing you”.(But, obviously if they are being obnoxious, and cruel, and arrogant then of course, that would be “bashing”, and wrong.) I have been in many churches, and have seen Pastors who were wrong about some things that hurt others deeply, and when told about their behavior, they acted above God’s discipline and instruction. I have seen several of these churches fall apart and disperse because of such sad things. I have also seen Christians who think they are always right, and have been unkind and cruel in their behavior towards others, and thus, did real damage in people’s lives. My family and I have also had to walk away from churches because the Pastor was getting weird, and not sticking with the Bible, and getting into New Age teaching mixed with the Bible. I will never, ever again just take a “back seat” to what a Pastor says without first checking everything with the Bible. There are many wolves, false teachers, and false prophets- of whom, I have met several. And it has crushed my spirit each time.

I have read I John 3, as you wished, and I was so glad you referred me to it. Tears filled my eyes, and I cried. It made me feel loved and secure to read the Lord’s words about truly loving, and following Him. And I have failed a lot in my walk with God, but it is only through Him that I am able to get back up and continue on. By nature I am a perfectionist in the things I feel are right, and sometimes I forget that it is only through His Grace and love that I am called to be His. Only through His unfailing mercy have I been led to repentance and to His beautiful heart. I am nothing with out Him, and weep at His kindness and love in forgiving me, and showing me that Jesus is the only way to His arms-to His Kingdom. I cannot earn this gift, nor can I claim it apart from Him. It is truly a gift, and how great a gift!!!! When I asked Him into my heart as a teen-I was alone in my room at night. I prayed for Jesus to enter my heart, and asked forgiveness of my many sins, and then went to sleep. I didn’t really understand, yet, what it really meant. I had watched my mother change when she became a Christian. I saw her joy, and her peace, and her love for Jesus, but I didn’t understand it at all. We were Catholic at the time, and I only knew of a “Catholic God”, and knew nothing at all about following Jesus, and living through Him. I didn’t even own a Bible or even know how to read one. This whole “relationship with Jesus” was totally foreign to me-completely unknown. But someone had led my mother to Jesus at a prayer group she began attending, and I came to want what she had-desperately so.

Then I went to this teenage prayer group my mother “made” my sister and I attend, and a very special friend prayed for me one night. He said, “Jesus, please be real in Erin’s life.” And when he prayed, I felt a heavy weight lift from my shoulders. It just lifted away! And that night, when I came home, my mother saw me and exclaimed, “Erin, what happened to you? Your face is glowing!” I looked at her and said,”Mom, I’ll never be the same again!” (At that time, I had never read the Bible, and it was shortly after that I learned what happened to me was Scriptural! 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation: the old has gone, the new has come!”)

I have felt so sad, and upset for awhile now because of the way Christians are portrayed- weird, stupid, obnoxious, completely crazy, needing a crutch, thinking we are always “right”, lazy, intolerable, not able to think for ourselves, or able to see “beyond the constrictions of the Bible”, having no real depth or insight, and etc. And when I see people say they love Jesus, but then behave creepy, like the “West Burro Baptist Church” people-and have people think that is what “true Christianity” is like, it hurts. I do not in any way, shape or form ever want to be compared to their crazy, and unGodly behavior. That is what I meant before when I said I was upset about people saying “Oh yeah, we love God”, but then they do these horrid things to make all Christians who really do love God look bad. I have agonized over this, and felt like I don’t want to ever be a hypocrite and bring shame to God’s name. I want to make sure that I am doing what He says to do, and acting as He says because I am so afraid of being a hypocrite. I am in no way perfect by any means. I struggle with my thoughts, with my actions, with my place in this world-yet, trying to not be “of” this world. I don’t want to shame the Lord. But I do belong to Him, as He has called me a long time ago, and I want so badly not to disappoint Him. I feel the darkness of this world so strongly, and see people dying right before my eyes, and wonder, “God, how can You use me?” I am ill, and have been through many surgeries, doctors, treatments for chronic, severe headaches, and other health things. I am struggling with many, many health related issues(25 yrs. now) and other personal issues that have devastated me emotionally. And because I am not well, I feel like I can’t do things for God the way I used to. And I am so afraid I have failed Him. And I feel like Satan is trying to break me. He is desperately trying to make me lose faith, and whispers lies to me all the time. My husband gets so angry at God for not healing me(and my daughter is very sick as well), and is constantly telling me that God isn’t listening to his prayers. But I am not responsible for His relationship with the Lord, and cannot give him faith. I tell him, “God is sovereign, and I can’t help what He chooses not to do. He has a plan, and I will not lose my faith over this. I cannot keep asking “why”, and keep being angry with Him. I have to believe He knows what He is doing.” And Satan keeps tightening the screws, and I feel him bearing down with all this illness, and I am so tired. But I love God still, and nothing-nothing can, or ever will take Him from me. I am His forever-no matter what.

I am sorry for writing so much. I do enjoy writing more than anything, and sometimes things just seem to flow. I would very much appreciate each and every prayer you can give for me and my family as we are under attack. May He strengthen and guide and keep you in His capable Hands. And I pray for you, that He gives you rest from any attacks to your ministry or your personal life. You are 100% right, in that God is Sovereign and can do what He wants. His blessings always. 🙂

Thank you again Erin. I believe you have the gift of encouragement or mercy or likely both. Wow. Count on my prayers for sure.

What I mean by getting bashed is that sometimes I am called a false teacher, others say I am a heretic but I know that only the message is perfect and the messenger never is. It is sad when Christians attack other Christians over non-essentials to the faith but you seem to have a gift of writing as you said, “it just flows” and I believe you must be a true blessing to those you know and in your church and covet such godly women like you in the church where I am under-shepherd to the Great Shepherd.

I believe the Devil is more busy today because he may know that his time is running out too so I will pray for you and your protection from the Evil One my friend. Again, may God richly bless you for your words of comfort and encouragement.

Adam November 13, 2013 at 10:01 pm

Erin, I couldn’t help but to read your posting. I am also a strong Christian who makes so many mistakes on a daily basis. But my difficulties can not compare to what you are going through. But I want to thank you. You are an inspiration to me after having read all the adversities that you are dealing with and your faith is still so strong. Everyday I make a mistake, I hear a whisper deep down telling me what I did was wrong and I immediately ask for forgiveness. But sometimes after asking for forgiveness I hear another whisper telling me that it’s pointless and that I’m not forgiven. But I know that The Lord loves me and as long as we acknowledge that we are sinners and that Jesus is here for us, then I know that I’m saved. Just know that God has a plan for all of us. Don’t give up. Lay all your worries on Him, and He will take care of you. I will pray for you my sister. I wish you nothing but the best. God Bless You and Your Family.

Adam November 13, 2013 at 10:05 pm

Thank you Jack for all of your encouragement. Everytime I read your comments, I feel excited to get my bible out and continue reading. It’s a shame that Christians treat other Christians terrible and then say it’s acts from God. But I am not here to judge. All I can do is pray for them. Thank you once again and I look forward to reading more of your comments.

Jack Wellman November 14, 2013 at 8:43 am

Thank you Adam. I wished that half the comments we received were as encouraging as yours my friend and I could add Erin’s too, and I thank God for you both that He directed you two to this site.

Adam November 14, 2013 at 8:47 am

It is my honor to be able to have a site and friends that I can share my words openly with.. I really just want to thank God for bringing this site to us.

Susan March 8, 2014 at 8:32 am

I have read all of the above comments and have very much enjoyed doing so. I am a committed Christian as is my husband, but we don’t attend church. We live in an isolated area and have tried attending the available church but had to leave because of the hypocrisy and untruths. I want you to know that it is such a relief and a joy to be able to correspond with real, like-minded, committed Christians. I believe that God has provided us with this fellowship as a world-wide source of encouragement and to strengthen our faith in these last days. Please know that there must be others like me, who feel so alone in their faith and who are suffering under a type of persecution for trying to keep to the truth of God’s Word. There are far, far too many Christians now that have mixed worldliness with the truths of God’s Word and refuse to accept that His Word has not changed with the times we live in. Please continue in this ministry for there are many sheep out here that need a true shepherd in this evil world.

Jack Wellman March 8, 2014 at 11:28 am

Susan…you are so correct. We need to stay in the Bible and the teachings in the Word. Reading the Word of God is the best way to avoid apostascy and to avoid error. For those who can’t attend church like you, we have links to other reliable pastors teaching the Word of God. You are welcome to view any of these online at: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheJackWellman

scott September 29, 2014 at 9:27 pm

You did not mention, another chance that God gives those left behind. But it will be during the days of sorrows. They will miss the rapture, BUT not eternal salvation they will have until the very last second of their last breath to repent and accept our Lord Jesus . Oh how merciful our Lord Jesus Christ is.

Jack Wellman September 29, 2014 at 9:31 pm

Thanks Scott…good point. I guess my focus was on being saved today! Today is the day of salvation and if they do not harden their hearts, then they won’t have to go through such suffering.

Scott November 8, 2014 at 6:35 pm

You stated that after the rapture, those left behind will not see their loved ones again. But isn’t the Rapture also a wake up call for the wicked and un-believing? I always thought as the Rapture is the start of a great repentance for those left behind. God and Jesus are all forgiving with no doubt, So are they also after the Rapture, One more chance for those non-believers to accept Jesus Christ. But those times will be horrible for the believers those last 7 yrs. Please correct me if I am wrong. But that is how I see it.

Jack Wellman November 8, 2014 at 9:03 pm

Great point Scott. Yes, there will be some saved during the tribulation and yes, it is a wakeup call for many but we cannot expect all of our loved ones to be saved at Paul writes about this when the man of lawlessness is revealed at Paul say sin 2 Thess 2:5-12 “Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? 6And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. 9The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.” Apparently, many left behind will be deceived as God sends them “a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth” and will be deceived by “all sorts of displays of power thru signs and wonders” so we cannot expect that all of them will repent, no. Another view is that those who hear the gospel and reject it before the Rapture cannot be saved. Those saved during the Tribulation, then, are those who had never heard the gospel before the Rapture. The “proof text” for this view is 2 Thessalonians 2:9-11, which says the Antichrist will work miracles to deceive “those who are perishing” and that God Himself will “send them a powerful delusion” to confirm them in their unbelief. The reason given is that “they refused to love the truth and so be saved” (verse 10). Granted, those who are hard-hearted toward the gospel before the Rapture are likely to remain so. And the Antichrist will deceive many (Matthew 24:5). But “those who refused to love the truth” does not necessarily refer to people who heard the gospel before the Rapture. It could be anyone who wholly rejects God’s salvation, at any time. So, there is no clear scriptural evidence to support this view. We cannot count on that and this is all the more reason we must tell them today to repent or perish, right?

Hello, I think it is clear that Jesus is coming again soon. Which leads me to my question. To God, who has existed forever, “soon” to him could be 1,000 years. So does that mean that the second coming is still thousands of years away

Jack Wellman January 2, 2015 at 7:49 pm

Thank you Peter for your question and comment sir. No, Peter’s reference to a day being like a thousands years to God is not about prophecy or Jesus return but if you read the entire chapter, you see it’s talking about time to God is nothing for He is eternal. Jesus return could be in 1,000 years but it could be tonight too…soon is soon to God if it’s even 10,000 years.

Peter January 2, 2015 at 8:27 pm

After reading this and a few other articles, I feel honored to know that he might come again in my lifetime.

Amy June 2, 2015 at 5:03 pm

Jack, I was saved 20 years ago and was very active then in church, bible study, and just day to to day living as a christian. That only lasted on a consistent level for a few years only to go lukewarm for the last 15 or so years with a year or two every few years back on track only to slide back again. In worldy views still a very good person but as a christian knowing better. Over the last year I really struggled with some things of this world and my heart was aching for Christ again and I knew it but it seemed like even as much as wanted or needed it, I just couldn’t take that step back on track. From back since I was first saved I believe I was given the gift of disernment when in his will. I had a really bad day in this world about 10 days ago because of some self destructive actions of my own. The next day it was as if a light went on and telling me to take the first step. It wasn’t even a big step but when I did I believe God started a work in me. The next day was a little lighter and blessings started happening. As I recognized who it was from and acknowledged it the fire in me began to grow. Then after a few days it was like a veil was lifted and I could see things much clearer. I immediately started noticing those on my social networking accounts that were really saying debase things. Then it’s as if I was being shown just how evil and twisted and backwards our society has become. I saw so clearly how as a culture, especially through fame and media, that good was evil and evil was good and that there are a lot of people foaming at the mouth to fight for the immorality and condemn anyone who doesn’t tolerate it. It was so clear and made me so aware and shocked of how big a number of people are lost. I have always been able to ride the fence on these topics or duck around and let others do the fighting but I believe that God has really shown me that the day of riding that fence are gone. Soon we will have to not only pick a side but stand up for it and declare it, not just on ours knees or in the pews but in all things. And not just turning off offensive media or wearing a cross but standing firm no matter what or who, even if it’s a family member. Just was wondering your thoughts on this and is this a sign of the end times?

Jack Wellman June 2, 2015 at 5:45 pm

Amy, thank you for your comment and yes, I think it has very much to do with the last days when evil is now called good and good is now thought of as evil and we are now in what I call “the love of many will grow cold” (Matt 24) so yes, it may be close and we are becoming the enemy and the former enemies (e.g. Islam) are becoming friends. Great insight. You are becoming more sensitive to the disgusting filth of the social media due to the Spirit’s work in you friend.

Brenda August 7, 2015 at 10:38 am

My experience is much like the above persons, Only I did not have family in church but rather sometimes did read the bible, just wasn’t sure it was real the way my family acted and then my sister said to me only “sick” people need a God.

And well I had some phases of total confusion and did things I later regretted like everyone even more maybe or who knows less considering where I was in life.

Basically now isolated for 10 years, I wanted to be clean from bad memories and pain, a lot of out casting all my life, Physical abuse, sexual abuse, starting at age three.. so I felt to be away from society and assumed I had or have social anxiety now.

To make a long story short as possible these (Islams) I was involved with on occasion at one time in my life here for real and learned yes they lie a lot, and thought I was crazy I had a year span of dreaming, and sudden thoughts, and more, of one those men getting maybe killed – and then he was.

Example: In one dream Jesus came to me, After seeing a lot of blood and dead bodies in a public bathroom of all places, Then I asked him to come back and everything was clean and pure white, etc.. long dream actually to get too detailed.

But I also dismissed all of that as my imagination, Now with all this new Isis stuff I am not so sure if all things that beat me down in my life was leading up to these days? Many times in my life even with no training I think I must have prayed not knowing I was praying in my life.

Anyhow right now things feel really odd – Also I have acquired an online friend who fights demon possession, and things have been weird in front of me a man was hit by a car recently hit and run, a month before that a woman hit by a car right in front of me they were all okay, But it is like I am getting some message of having close calls with that.

How someone so uniformed of Jesus and Lord suddenly in life swamped, was my life events an attempt to keep me away at such a young age I wonder that seriously now.

Marsha Blair May 21, 2016 at 4:36 am

Thank you for this powerful, right to the point message. I agree we are in the last days. The world is becoming more depraved by the minute. I LOOK for the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Tillie July 23, 2016 at 9:02 am

See to it that you are not alarmed, some of these articles seem so negative but it is a time we are to SEE TO IT, that we are not alarmed, and I guess to go out and make it our mission to follow Gods will.

Title: Rapture on Yom Kippur (September 30, 2017)
I wrote these things as so moved by the Holy Spirit of God so that maybe you can come to see how God is saying to this world right now that He is about to come back for us. I wrote this thing not to scare you or anybody else who will read it, but it is solely to pass on what He has shared with me. The PowerPoint presentation with the many slides is a little easier to follow than my Microsoft document or, if you can’t pull it up in that format, you can try the pdf file (you can also see these 3 files on Google Doc). This writing is quite lengthy & may seem jumbled in its thought process (I am not a proficient writer – I just try my best), but it does deliver the message that I believe God gave to me – please just read it to the end. The signs that are outlined in this writing have & will happen & will be completed at the end of this month. You may not agree with me in what I wrote about, but I can only present to you what God has laid deep in my heart. All Jesus desires from us is that we, Christians, will be ready when He comes back for us. He wants us not to be ignorant of what’s going on in regards to His coming but be thoroughly aware of what is about to happen.
Just like in His first advent to us over 2000 years ago. The people at that time had no idea of the time of Jesus’ birth but only Mary & Joseph. Then, even when Jesus began His ministry to the very people called the chosen people, the Jews, all of them could not accept that the coming Messiah would come to die (even though they all knew hundreds of scriptures pointing to His death, especially those who were so religious such as the scribes & Pharisees who thought they knew everything), so they lived not paying attention to what He had to say, except for one person, Mary the sister of Martha. Mary “sat at Jesus’ feet” paying close attention to all what Jesus had to say. She was that close to Jesus that when Jesus saw Martha when He came towards Lazarus’ tomb, Jesus’ response to Martha was to teach her, but when Jesus saw Mary crying at Lazarus’ tomb, Jesus was extremely moved with emotion that He cried. Mary was the one who anointed Jesus at the dining table signifying His coming death – she knew He had to die. Then I believe she was at the cross & then as recorded in the 4 Gospels, she was there at His tomb. John 20:11-17 states that Mary (not Mary Magdalene because Mary Magdalene saw the stone rolled away from the tomb and RAN to find Peter & the other disciples – John 20:1-2) was the one who first witnessed & talked to the risen Savior (John 20:16). In our present day, God’s children have been de-sensitized by Satan to this message of Jesus’ coming back for us that our nation has ignored the many signs that God is presenting to us. In the last 50 years many Christians has erroneously predicted the coming rapture & failed miserably. God allowed this to happen so that when He unveils His message at a time when people are fully de-sensitized, only those who have stayed closed to the heart of God will be moved by the Holy Spirit of God to fully accept His message. I believe that time is now and this is why I feel such an urgency to share this message that He personally gave me.
The question posed to me is what if Jesus doesn’t come on September 30th as you wrote in your dissertation. My answer is simple. I am a mere man & if indeed God chooses to pick another time to fulfill His prophecy, I will praise Him nevertheless. I have not changed my daily & weekly routine when this revelation came to me. In fact, I have drawn ever more closely to the heart of God as I have recognized how I made other things come in between me & My Savior Jesus Christ – I repented & asked God to forgive me. My purpose for sharing this with you this much is that I feel that you have a
heart that wants to draw close to God. I pray that you read my writing & take it to heart. Then, if you are moved by the Spirit of God, please pass it on to those who you believe will read it & consider it. So, God’s message to us now is to pay attention to what’s happening now & be ready for His coming.
Term “rapture” – comes from the Latin word “raptus” which is the word the Latin translator used in the Bible to translate the words “caught up” (I Thess. 4:17). See this definition: “from Latin raptus “a carrying off, abduction, snatching away.”
Yom Kippur – Day of Atonement (this year it is on September 30th): History – Moses atoned for the Israelites when they rebelled against God by building the golden calf in the wilderness – Moses pleaded with God not to destroy the Israelites. So it became the holiest holiday of the 7 important Jewish festivals of the year. It is the time when the high priest enters the Holy of Holies to sprinkle blood on the Ark of the Covenant to atone for the sins of the people. It is the most solemn of all the feasts because it is the time for the people to confess their sins against God & repent as they are atoned for.
Notes: Jesus is our high priest who once & for all entered the Holy of Holies to atone for the sins of the world. In His death on the cross, the curtain (the 6 inch thick veil) that separated the people from the Holy of Holies was torn in two (Matthew 27:51) signifying that we, Christians, can now spiritually approach God through our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. In the Rapture, we approach God (Holy of Holies) not only spiritually as of right now, but we will approach him also physically (raptured heavenly bodies) wearing the white gowns that is stated in the scriptures that the saints will wear in heaven. During Yom Kippur, the Jews traditionally wear white garment to signify that they are being purified that day! We are already purified by the blood of Christ. Also, we are now called by God as a royal priesthood (I Peter 2:9), ready to approach God without any barrier. The spiritual picture of us in heaven with Christ, “seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6), actualized spiritually when we pray & worship Him, will then be completed as our bodies will go through that immediate bodily transformation in the rapture (I Corinthians 15:50–55).
Note: At the end of the celebration of Yom Kippur, the shofar (a big horn – much like a trumpet) is blown a long trumpet blast signifying the end of the feast! I Thessalonians 4:16–17) – “at the trumpet sound…we shall be caught away to meet the Lord in the air…” In conjunction to this passage, read this from Matthew 24:30-31, “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with A LOUD TRUMPET CALL, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.” Most of the end time articles you read believe that the rapture will come on Rosh Hashanah (it may possibly be) because of the sounding of the shofar the entire day signifying the beginning of the religious New Year. I believe that Rosh Hashanah is a feast reserved by God for the actual second coming of Jesus Christ when He comes down from heaven riding a white horse with the armies of heaven behind Him to make war with the antichrist at the war of Armageddon at the end of the great tribulation period. That huge sounding of the horn all day signify to me the announcement of the coming King Jesus who will touch down at Mount Olive & split that mountain into two (Zechariah 14:4).

Note: Yom Kippur is a Jewish feast mainly associated with a lot of mourning – the people feeling the guilt of their sins & coming to God for forgiveness. At the rapture, many people will suddenly disappear causing a tremendous mourning & weeping, not only from the Jewish people but the entire world!!! Imagine millions of people suddenly gone – those left behind will weep as their loved ones are now gone. Matthew 24:30–31 clearly points out this truth, “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will MOURN when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.” Plus, the Jews will now truly mourn because right after the rapture, Daniel’s 70th week begins (Daniel 9:24 prophesy – the last 7 years leading to the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ). This time period is also called in the Old Testament as “Jacob’s Trouble” (referring to Israel = Jacob) as found in Jeremiah 30:7. This is a time when the Jews will be troubled again – this time it will be the antichrist chasing them out of their “temple” (Luke 21:23-25) as the antichrist enters it (Daniel 9:27 & Matthew 24:15) & declares himself as god in the middle of the tribulation period. So, the Jews mourning at this feast will then be fulfilled because of this coming tribulation period (Jacob’s trouble).
Great American solar eclipse – August 21, 2017
Remember, God uses the heavenly bodies He created as signs for the people on the earth. The moon is mainly used as the sign for the Jewish people, e.g. Blood Moons, etc. The Jews base their calendar on the lunar cycle. In fact, this present Jewish year is 5777 & will be 5778 on the first of the month of Tishri, which coincide with our calendar as September 22nd – Rosh Hashanah falls on this date this year (remember that the Jewish day starts at 6 pm instead of midnight of the current day). However, the sun is mainly used by God as a sign for the gentiles. We, the gentiles, use the Gregorian calendar because we base our year on the orbit of the earth around the sun, which is exactly 365 days. One example of this was when Jonah preached to the people of Nineveh on 763 B.C – that is the exact date when a great TOTAL solar eclipse happened with Nineveh in its path. That is one of the huge sign that made the people of Ninevah repented of their sins & accepted Jonah’s message of “Forty more days and Nineveh will be overthrown.” (Jonah 3:4). The total solar eclipse made their hearts receptive to Jonah’s message. When the scribes & Pharisees wanted a sign from Jesus to tell them that He was the Messiah, all Jesus told them was “the sign of Jonah” (Matthew 12:39). Although Jesus spoke of Jonah being in the belly of the fish (Matt. 12:40), the people of the world at that time knew that the sign of Jonah referred to the total eclipse of 763 B.C. Well, 40 days is the period from the total solar eclipse over U. S.A. to Yom Kippur (August 21st to September 30th). Is U.S.A. given this time period to repent or be judged by God? We’ll see! However, I feel that U.S. will not repent & judgment will come because I relate U.S. as the Great Babylon of the book of Revelation (Revelation chapters 17 & 18). If indeed the rapture comes September 30th, our main Christian nation of this world will not be that nation anymore – we Christians will be in heaven. In fact, it says that in ONE hour, great Babylon will be destroyed (Revelation 18:10). I believe that, since the total solar eclipse passed through all of the major catastrophe zones of U.S. (the Cascadia Subduction zone in the northwest section of our nation which quaked 317 years ago & is now due for another huge earthquake since it quakes about every 240 to 250 years – if triggered will probably set off the San Andreas fault that runs through California; Yellowstone – the biggest volcano in the world; the New Madrid earthquake zone which runs north & south along the Mississippi River; & then another earthquake zone in South Carolina), God’s judgment upon this nation will be in any of these catastrophe zones shaking or erupting or all of them going off one after another.
Jewish feasts or festivals:
There are 7 most important Jewish feasts of the Year:
1) Passover
2) Firstfruits
3) Pentecost
4) Rosh Hashanah
5) Yom Kippur
6) Tabernacles
7) Hanukkah
Note: Some will add the Feast of Unleavened Bread to this list of 7 major Jewish Feasts and drop Hanukkah from this list. Jesus’ also fulfilled this feast when His entire life was a perfect sinless life. Jesus in His teachings likened leaven to sin; therefore He lived a sinless life as a direct fulfillment of this feast. In this case, there will be only 2 feasts left to be fulfilled: Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur – both dealing with His 2nd coming, i.e. the rapture & His actual touching down to earth to be King of the world for 1000 years.
All of these feasts are prophetic in nature as we have already witnessed in history. Four of them have already been fulfilled:
Passover – Jesus is the Passover lamb whose blood saves us from eternal death (Romans 3:25; I Corinthians 5:7).
Firstfruit – Jesus is the first to rise from the dead – miraculous resurrection. (I Cor. 15:20)
Pentecost – the Holy Spirit came & indwelt the believers (Acts 2:1-4) – the beginning of the church era (Christ in you – Colossians 1:27).
Now I also propose to you that the feast of booths (tabernacle) was already fulfilled by the birth of Christ – He came to take on human form & dwelt among us. It is also interesting that, according to some very distinct astronomical studies done in relation to the star of Bethlehem & the signs in the heavens that led the wise men to look for where the newborn king was born at, Jesus is presumed to be born on September 22, 2 B.C. (that is the date of the celebration of the Feast of Booths (Tabernacle) at that time in which there were many people in Jerusalem and in the towns surrounding it which gives reason to why Joseph & Mary couldn’t find any room at the inn & settled for a barn to give birth to Jesus – Luke 2:7)!!! The upcoming September 22nd is the celebration of the Rosh Hashanah feast!!! If the rapture happens on Yom Kippur on September 30th, then Jesus came the first time in September & will return in the clouds for us also in September! Also, notice that the month of September also has a full moon, which is called “Harvest Moon” (see Farmer’s Almanac – full moon on September 5th). In the rapture, we are literally “harvested” out of the earth. Let me also point out this about the “harvest” on Revelation 14:14–16, “I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, “Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the HARVEST of the earth is ripe.” So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was HARVESTED.” You may then be wondering who in the earth will be harvested? This is obvious to us Christians because this is our redemption time as promised – we Christians are harvested (taken out of the earth). By whom? Note verse 16, “So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was HARVESTED.” – this is an obvious answer also, none other than our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ who will harvest us out of this world.
So, 3 more feasts are left to be fulfilled:
Rosh Hashanah – the feast celebrating the religious new year – I believe it will be fulfilled at the actual 2nd coming of Christ on the earth riding the white horse & touching down – let the trumpets sound the new year (age – millennial kingdom) of His reign, for His earthly rule of 1000 years will begin (Revelation 20:2-7).
Hanukkah – the Feast of Lights – I believe this will be fulfilled at the end of the age when heaven & earth will pass away – God will be our eternal light illuminating the New Jerusalem which will be coming down from heaven (Revelation chapter 21).
Yom Kippur – Day of Atonement – Jesus, our Chief High Priest, coming in the clouds for us (rapture) – taking His royal priesthood, us, to enter the Holy of Holies with Him physically to the throne of God!!!
As you can see, all of these feasts are fulfilled by Jesus Christ. Therefore, the feasts were instituted by God to point to His beloved Son, who has already fulfilled four of them, & will complete the other three unfulfilled prophetic feasts, of which 2 of them will be fulfilled very soon. Every major event related to Jesus has occurred on God’s feast days; therefore, we can logically conclude that Jesus will fulfill them (i.e. rapture, His 2nd coming – touching down to earth as King, Jesus’ New Jerusalem coming down to earth) on a feast day! Whether it is this year of 2017 or later, they will be fulfilled on His feasts days.
Revelation chapter 12 SIGNS:
Revelation 12: 1 – 6
12 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. 2 She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. 3 Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. 4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born. 5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.” And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. 6 The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.
First of all, allow me to tell you what this “great sign” is in verses 1-2. Those who study astronomy today (just like the wise men, believed to be astronomers of that time, who came from the east seeking to come & worship the newborn King Jesus – Matthew 2:1–2) have noted that in September 23rd of 2017, the constellation Virgo (the virgin which is the “woman” of verse 1) will be adorn with some heavenly bodies. Virgo’s crown of 12 stars will be the 9 brightest stars of the constellation Leo, which is considered the lion constellation (Leo has more stars than just 9, but these are the brightest stars seen with the naked eye) plus the 3 planets of Mercury, Venus, & Mars aligned above Virgo’s head (“crown”) which total 12 heavenly bodies. Verse 2 is quite a little noted event that most people don’t pay attention to: it is Jupiter (the “king” planet) doing a retrograde motion in its orbit around the sun. But this time, Jupiter, who entered the “belly” (womb) of Virgo eight months ago, depicts the scene of giving birth in verse 2 leading to the actual birth in September 23rd, the time in which Jupiter exits the womb of Virgo. This heavenly sign completely depicts the picture of the Virgin Mary giving birth to our Lord Jesus Christ – the sign of the Son of Man. The sun is at the left shoulder area of Virgo (“clothed with the sun”) and the crescent moon at her feet (“moon under her feet”) on this date. Well, this same scenario has happened a few times in the month of September before: 1827, 1483, 1293, and 1056 & around the birth of Christ. Well, this sign had its first fulfillment at the birth of Christ & will now play a major role in the heavenly signs of September 2017. So, you might ask why this is so significant now. Just look at this passage found in Matthew 24:30-31, “Then will appear the SIGN of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.” There you have it; on September 23rd we will witness this heavenly sign of the Son of Man, which verse 30 clearly states will appear right before the rapture. I propose to you that this sign is one of those signs that people will only look back on when a major biblical event happens, like the rapture. This great sign has to be coupled with verse 3: “another sign appeared in heaven” for it to be complete in regards to the end times (I expanded on this in the next paragraph).
Many in the internet right now informs us that verses 1 – 2 sign will be fulfilled on September 23rd which is the day of the Rosh Hashanah feast. Many of these writers believe the rapture may occur then – maybe? Verse 3 & 4 mainly talks about Satan – his history of persuading a third (“a third of the stars”) of the angels (who are now demons) to join forces with him to try to destroy Christ. We know the fulfillment of the latter part of verse 4 when Herod had children killed when Christ was born (Matthew 2:16–18). The part of verse 3 that I need us to focus on is this: “Then another sign appeared in heaven”. If you stop right there, you will note that the first sign will happen September 23rd, but following that is another sign. Although the verse continues to talk about Satan vs. Christ scenario, I firmly believe that this sign of verse 3 is in conjunction with verse 5: “her child was snatched up to God and to his throne.” I believe that this particular sign is Jesus coming back to earth in a cloud to rapture His bride, the church, out of the earth. And to complete this verse, it says “her child was snatched up to God and to his throne” – we are raptured to come before God’s throne (picture of Yom Kippur – chief high priest coming into the Holy of Holies). It will be such a great sign that the people left behind on the entire earth after the rapture will mourn. However, it will be the great marriage feast in heaven as the Groom has finally come for His Bride. Pay attention to the words “snatched up”. It was written by John the Apostle in Greek – ἡρπάσθη. We pronounce this word: ērpasthē. Its literal meaning is: to seize, catch up, snatch away. So, basically it is synonymous with the words used by the Apostle Paul in I Thessalonians 4:17 (“caught up”), referring to the rapture. Snatched up or caught up terminology is a “twinkling of an eye” (I Corinthians 15:52) type of an action that is lightning quick!
Therefore, as we will witness the great verse 1 sign on September 23rd (what a coincidence that this great sign appears almost on this very date when over 2 thousand years ago Jesus was born on September 22nd), the “another sign appeared in heaven” will be the rapture – exactly 7 days (one week) after the first sign (7 is the number in scriptures signifying perfection – we will be made perfect in our bodies when we are raptured). Like the creation story that starts in Genesis 1:1 “in the beginning…” (Rosh Hashanah is the BEGINNING of the religious New Year), and then on the 7th day God rested from creating the entire world. He called the 7th day the Sabbath (meaning the 7th day) to signify day of rest, in which this year Yom Kippur falls on a Sabbath, a Saturday (September 30th). The word Sabbath or Sabbaths is mentioned 172 times in the Bible and 60 of them are mentioned in the New Testament. Exodus 20:8-11 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.” Yom Kippur was on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 & on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. There you have it; even the creation story was prophetic in nature! Also, Hebrews 4:9 “There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.” The word “rest” in this verse is in the original Greek σαββατισμὸς , pronounced “sabbatismos”, which means “a Sabbath rest” or “keeping of the Sabbath”. So, our eternal rest in heaven through the rapture will come on the 7th day, a Sabbath day, after the appearance of the sign of the Son of Man in the heavens.
Some will argue that verse 5 totally speaks about Jesus & thus referring to His ascension. My answer to that is this: the first part of the verse is indeed talking about Jesus because the middle part of the verse identifies Him as “a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.” Thus He will do, but the latter part of that verse referring to “her child” is not Jesus. The words used referring to Jesus is different. The first one say, “She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter” – definitely Jesus. The next sentence, the words use is, “her child” (when the Holy Spirit came, He indwelt the believers thus giving birth to God’s children!). On top of that, it says, “her child was snatched up to God and to his throne”. Was Jesus “snatched up” when He ascended to heaven after appearing to his disciples for 40 days? (Acts 1:3) – the answer to that is an absolute NO. Jesus ascended slowly as we read in Acts 1:9-10: “After He had said this, THEY WATCHED AS HE WAS TAKEN UP, and a cloud hid Him from their sight. THEY WERE LOOKING INTENTLY INTO THE SKY AS HE WAS GOING UP…”
Now let’s shift gear to the ascension of Jesus for a bit. It reads in Acts 1:9–11: “And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; who also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who is taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” (KJV). Please note that the disciples watched Jesus ascend to heaven slowly & a CLOUD hid Him from their sight. Wow, those prophetic words from those two angels will be fulfilled when we are raptured!!! Check out this verse also in Revelation 14:14-16 as I pointed out before about the Harvest, “I looked, and there before me was a WHITE CLOUD, and seated on the CLOUD was one like a son of man with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the CLOUD, “Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” So he who was seated on the CLOUD swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.” Did you read how important God wanted us to pay attention to the word CLOUD? It is so important that He mentioned it four times in these three verses. Did you get the most important point: “SEATED ON THE CLOUD was one like a Son of Man” – this only refer to our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ coming back riding on a cloud to take us Christians out of this world, just like in I Thessalonians 4:17, “After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the CLOUDS to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.” (NIV). So, this other sign of Revelation 12 is the rapture!
Thought: Why did Jesus took 40 days to appear to His disciples after His “sufferings”? (Acts 1:3). Quite interesting in the fact that He could have chosen 7, or 12, or 21, or 33 days to make his appearance to them, but He chose 40 days. I looked up this topic & here is what that number 40 associates with in the Bible:
Forty is associated with almost each new development in the history of God’s mighty acts, especially of salvation, e.g. the Flood, redemption from Egypt, Elijah and the prophetic era, the advent of Christ and the birth of the church. The following periods of 40 days may be listed: the downpour of rain during the Flood (Gn. 7:17); the dispatch of the raven (Gn. 8:6); Moses’ fasts on the mount (Ex. 24:18; 34:28; Dt. 9:9); the spies’ exploration of the land of Canaan (Nu. 13:25); Moses’ prayer for Israel (Dt. 9:25); Goliath’s defiance (1 Sa. 17:16); Elijah’s journey to Horeb (1 Ki. 19:8); Ezekiel’s lying on his right side (Ezk. 4:6); Jonah’s warning to Nineveh (Jon. 3:4); Christ’s stay in the wilderness prior to his temptation (Mt. 4:2), his appearances after his resurrection (Acts 1:3). For 40 years, the general designation of a generation, the following may be quoted: the main divisions of Moses’ life (Acts 7:23, 30, 36; Dt. 31:2); Israel’s wandering in the wilderness (Ex. 16:35; Nu. 14:33; Jos. 5:6; Ps. 95:10); the recurring pattern of servitude and deliverance in the era of the judges (e.g. Jdg. 3:11; 13:1); the reigns of Saul, David and Solomon (Acts 13:21; 2 Sa. 5:4; 1 Ki. 11:42); the desolation of Egypt (Ezk. 29:11).
May I then add this one thing to that list. Acts 1:8 states, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Jesus said this right before He ascended to heaven. Jesus knew that His coming church at that time, which was formulated at the Day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came, would become predominantly made up of gentiles (it seems now that verse 8 has now been fulfilled within that last 50 years or so – fulfillment of Matthew 24:17, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”).
Well, the most predominant Christian nation of this present world is the United States! Isn’t it mysterious to see that God sent a Total Eclipse on America August 21st, (NOT August 3rd, 7th, 12th) which coincides with the first day of Elul on the Jewish calendar – “Rosh Chodesh or Rosh Hodesh (Hebrew: ראש חודש‎; trans. Beginning of the Month; lit. Head of the Month”). The month of Elul in the Jewish tradition is a time of repentance in preparation for the High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Amazing – right? This period from the great American total eclipse to Yom Kippur is exactly 40 days! Jesus ascended 40 days after His death and he will descend (40 days after the sign of the total eclipse) in a cloud after the start of the time of repentance when it is completed as the High Priest enters the Holy of Holies. God definitely works with the calendar that He instituted to be fulfilled at the most precise moment to fulfill all of His prophecies.
Just like in the days of Noah will the end times be (Matthew 24: 37–39 & Luke 17: 26). God shut the door of the ark as Noah’s family entered the ark. In His instructions for building the ark, God told Noah to “set the door of the ark in its side” (Genesis 6:16). The ark had only one door to pass through to escape God’s terrible judgment. Once they were all inside, “the Lord shut them in” (Genesis 7:16). A perfect picture of the rapture. Then the rain started to pour for 40 days. After 40 days of rain, the world was flooded completely. Will there be a major judgment of God to come also in 40 days? Think about it, what will happen to this world when many millions of people suddenly disappear – obviously many will ask what just happened to explain this massive disappearance of many (Matthew 24:40–41, “Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left” and also in Luke 17: 34-36, “I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.”). I believe that there will definitely be a cataclysmic event or events (as stated by Jesus on Luke 17: 27-29, “People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the FLOOD came and destroyed them all. “It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, FIRE AND SULFUR RAINED DOWN FROM HEAVEN and destroyed them all.”) that will take place on the conclusion of Yom Kippur when the loud trumpet blast is sounded to mark the ending of this mourn-filled feast! I know that the Lord will not destroy the earth of a flood again as He promised, but some floods will still occur that are cataclysmic. Fire & sulfur raining down from heaven maybe meteors, as mentioned by many internet sites describing what they look like, or the magma that is spewed out in abundance from a massive volcanic explosion.
I Thessalonians 5:3 states, “For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.“ What is intriguing about this verse is that it is surely being fulfilled before our eyes as The General Assembly of the United Nations for international peace (first observed in 1982 and formerly known as World Peace Day) has declared that their theme for this year of 2017, which will be celebrated on September 21st, right on the day of the Feast of Rosh Hashanah, is “Together for Peace: Respect, Safety and Dignity for All”. (Their theme for 2016 was Building Blocks for Peace & for 2015 was Partnerships for Peace – Dignity for All). Did you read that: PEACE…SAFETY. Is this year of 2017 the complete fulfillment of this prophecy?
These cataclysmic events or other events such as “great earthquakes” (Luke 21:11 & Revelation 6:12) will probably make it a lot easier for those left behind to explain away the event of the rapture with so many people gone from this earth so that the whole world will be deceived. I believe this coming judgment (remember the message of Jonah – repent or else after 40 days judgment will come) will be manifested on this day or shortly thereafter. Remember, the church is the body of Christ, indwelt by the Holy Spirit, who is the “restrainer” (He who holds back many of the wickedness from happening in this world right now). When the church is taken out of this world in the rapture, the Holy Spirit will also be taken out of this world (The Holy Spirit is that power in this present age that holds back evil, as stated in II Thessalonians 2:6–8, “And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming”), utter chaos from unimaginable wickedness will then be unleashed! Also remember in regards to the nation of Israel, this year of 2017 marks the 70th year since it was formed as a nation again in 1947-1948, and 50 years (year of Jubilee) since the Jews recaptured the city of Jerusalem!!! Also, know that the rapture marks the beginning of the tribulation period or “Jacob’s Trouble” or Daniel’s 70th week – definitely a time of mourning.
Summary of the signs:
These important 3 signs are given by God so that we cannot be surprised of these events (I Thessalonians 5: 4-5):
1) The great American total solar eclipse – it occurred on August 21st, the first day of the Jewish month of Elul signifying the 40 days of repentance before the holiest day of the Jewish year, Yom Kippur. It is a great sign to our gentile nation of U.S.A. as an upcoming judgment just like the message of Jonah to Nineveh, repent or else judgment comes in 40 days.

2) The sign of the Son of Man – the Revelation 12:1-2 celestial sign that shows Jupiter exiting the womb of the constellation of Virgo, the Virgin, who has the crown, the sun, & moon in its exact location as predicted. This celestial sign depicts the virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. This sign appearing on the day, after the Feast of Rosh Hashanah, on September 23rd, seven days before Yom Kippur. Is it a coincidence that Jesus” birthday (September 22nd?) would be on Rosh Hashanah and that His SIGN would appear on the very next day on the 23rd? Emphatic NO because much like with His SIGN on His birth 2000 years ago so shall it be upon His return. Also, September 23rd this year is on a Sabbath, and the Jews call this particular Sabbath a week before the holiest day of the year, Yom Kippur, “Shabbat Shuva”, literally meaning “Sabbath of Return”. Plus, this SIGN appears 33 days since the 1st of Elul (August 21st = total solar eclipse), the start of the 40 days of repentance leading to the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). What age did Jesus died, buried & resurrected? He was 33 years old. God chose to bring back to us the SIGN of the Son of Man on the 33rd day so we can be reminded that “we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.” (I John 3:2) & that Jesus “will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body.” (Philippians 3:21) – You got that? We will be transformed to be like His resurrected glorious 33 year old body upon His return for us. So, this sign not only reminds us of Jesus’ virgin birth, but points us to what will transpire upon His return for us.

3) The feast of Yom Kippur celebrated on a Sabbath day, September 30th. This fact plus the celebration nature of this feast: lots of mourning fulfilling the whole world mourning when they see the Son of Man coming; priest entering the holy of holies to come before ark of the ark of the covenant – a picture of us being the royal priests entering heaven to the throne of God; the people wearing white to signify purification – we will be clothed with white heavenly gowns when we reach the throne of God; the sounding of the trumpet at the conclusion of the feast – prophetic fulfillment of I Thessalonians 4:16 & Matthew 24:31 in regards to the trumpet sound that signals God’s elect being taken out of this world.
These three signs will only appear at its designated time in conjunction with each other at no other time in the future. God has perfectly placed each sign at these specific dates so that we can know & be ready when Jesus comes back in the clouds for us.
This presentation you might just dismiss as just another “one of those end times date setter” and I don’t blame you knowing that many previous people have erred in predicting the time of the coming back of our Lord Jesus Christ. I also was very hesitant to write down all of what God personally revealed to me & share it with anybody. I just wanted to keep it all to myself & just go on my regular day to day life, but God compelled me to sit down many hours & write it all down. There are a lot of scriptures & explanations I wrote in this dissertation & God helped me to remember every single one of them. I am not a seminary trained pastor or a biblically educated minister or a leader in my church in any capacity. I am just a simple man – I work as a full time UPS package driver for the Whites Creek hub East Center in Nashville, TN. I did not really want to share this with anybody, but God reminded me that I had to obey Him. So, I am sharing this with as many as are willing to take the time to read it all & take it to heart & do what is right before the eyes of God.
I know you will also mention to me the verses in Matthew 24:36,42,44 which tells us that we do not know the day and hour of the Lord’s 2nd coming, but with the many truths I presented in this lengthy dissertation, I cannot help but be comforted by the Lord that He is about to fulfill His prophecy very soon. Whether the rapture occurs on Yom Kippur on September 30th or not, I am ready (Matthew 24:44, “Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”) to face the reality of Him coming back for me in the clouds. I am saddened on the other hand that I have family members who are not saved & they have a horrible period that awaits them during the tribulation period if they don’t accept Jesus Christ as their savior before the raptures occurs. This message is for them & whoever is willing to receive it so they can examine their standing with God right now.
The confidence I have in the rapture occurring on the day of the Yom Kippur feast is solidified by these many proofs that I presented here. I received these precious thoughts that the Holy Spirit manifested to me in a period of just 5 hours on Thursday, August 24th, three days after the total eclipse of August 21st. In the middle of that afternoon, the Holy Spirit brought these many things to my heart, mind, & soul. I was totally immersed & astounded to witness His presence that powerful in my life. I pray that this writing may serve to influence at least one person or maybe more of those left behind after the rapture so it can impact them to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ & be saved during the tribulation period. Of course, I am a mere man & all of these thoughts may just come to naught like many others in the past 50 years who tried to predict the rapture. If so, then the many hours I put in this writing will just be for naught. Even so, God be praised greatly because He rules in the mind & hearts of His children. Until I see you all in heaven…God speed.
For the sake of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.

Hello Normandy. What a lengthy post and I’m sure you spent lots of effort on it, but as you said, “you are a mere man” like me, and these thoughts may come to naught. I think it does. Jesus shows it does, saying, “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only” (Matt 24:36), so in few words, Jesus tells us no one will know and that includes and you!

Hello Normandy. Your “prophecy” did not come true as you predicted the rapture on Sept 30th, 2017, so according to Scripture, you must be a false prophet. I pray you repent of this teaching of yours and see that the Bible plainly says no man knows the hour! You are a man, therefore, you cannot know but only God the Father.

It is Jan 2018 and Americans are longing for the day “we will be Great Again!” I want to stand up on a rooftop when I hear that and Yell,” “America will never be great again until we repent of our immorality and come back to God.” We think liberals are lying to the people, but we know so little about the Bible that we actually think Finances will make us great again? It just doesn’t work that way. I read David Wilkerson’s book, “America’s Last Call” and he shows the Biblical Pattern that God has followed when it comes to raising up Nations and Bringing them Down. We fit into the group that is on the verge of being destroyed because of our sins as a Nation. It is Alarming that Christians are so willing to believe lies instead of the Bible. And so few Christians are afraid to warn their backsliding brothers and sisters, not to mention unbelievers, for fear of judging and being rejected. I have to remind myself everyday, that my reward does not come from the approval of man, but my reward is is in Heaven. I have spent my life since I got saved serving Him, He gave me the privilege of raising 3 different troubled young girls at different times, giving them a loving and stable Christian home. One is only ten now but the others are about 30 years old and there is not an iota of gratefulness from the older two. They have both recently said very ugly things to me. I keep thinking it is what the Bible refers to when it says the Love of many will grow cold and they will betray one another. (agape’ love, God’s love which is shed abroad in the heart of a believer at the New Birth, something which a non-believer does not possess) When I want to feel sad that they no longer value what I spent my life doing for them, I am reminded not to look to them for approval but to God. I could not have kids so God brought these youngsters into my life and it was a wonderful win-win blessing. But when young children grow up, they don’t always value the blessings they have received from others. But God does. I believe much bigger let downs are in the making for American Christians. If I cannot handle this, what can I handle? We are complete in Him. In all things we must learn to Praise the Lord! I believe Great Persecutions are going to come on American Christians and we need to look to Him for any approval , for any rewards for the things we have done for Him in this life.

Good teaching and response to the myriad of questions. God bless you, Pastor Wellman. We have to continue to sound the alarm that HE IS COMING AGAIN AND ALL OF US HAVE to BE READY. Thank you for not putting a time on when He will come. My Mom used to say to me and my siblings, “BE READY YESTERDAY FOR THE COMING OF JESUS CHRIST. TODAY IS TOO LATE TO BE READY.” Father God thank you that Jesus Christ is coming again. In His Name, Amen.

I agree with most of the authors opinions, but need to study more
About sexual mralty. A the time fruit was on earth. I believe we’re in end times because, people are playing God. One f Christ’s main teachings were do not judge. Who at we go judge love. If you see a woman bruised q battered going to church with 6 or more children in tow, you turn your head also since is on the verge of playing God, genetic manipulation.
Science has knowledge without wisdom. No one knows the long term impact of what they’re doing.

You are so right Cheri. Thank you.
