Christian Quotes About Family: 28 Great Sayings

Family, according to one online dictionary source has several meaning. It could be:

  • “a basic social unit consisting of parents and their children, considered as a group, whether dwelling together or not” or
  • “the children of one person or one couple collectively” and
  • “any group of persons closely related by blood, as parents, children, uncles, aunts, and cousins” [1].

What that secular reference neglects to mention is that as Christians we are born into a new family – the family of God (John 1:12; Galatians 6:10; 1 Timothy 3:15). In this new family we are sons and daughters of the Almighty Heavenly Father and we are joint heirs with Jesus as brothers and sisters in Christ (Romans 8:17). Take a look at what some others have to say about family in these great Christian quotes about family.

Love this Pam. There is no surer foundation than Christ as the Cornerstone in our families. I loved Patrick Henry’s quote in that regard. The family is under spiritual warfare today and it has never been more important to keep the “three-fold cord” taught with Christ being the tie that binds. Thank you for these supremely important quotes.
