Hope is defined as a verb: to desire with expectation of obtainment; to expect with confidence [1]. Some words that mean the same as hope are trust, expectation, longing, dream, optimism, and desire. Of course, the opposite of hope is despair [2]. Here are some things people are saying; some beautiful words of hope.
“He that lives in hope danceth without music.” ~ George Herbert

“Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul and sings the tune without the words — And never stops at all.” ~ Emily Dickinson
“It’s really a wonder that I haven’t dropped all my ideals, because they seem so absurd and impossible to carry out. Yet I keep them, because in spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart.” ~ Anne Frank

“Sometimes good things fall apart, so better things can fall together.” ~ Jessica Howell
“Farewell Hope, and with Hope farewell Fear” ~ John Milton

“I’ve read the last page of the Bible. It’s all going to turn out all right.” ~ Billy Graham
“Other men see only a hopeless end, but the Christian rejoices in an endless hope.” ~ Gilbert M. Beeken
“You’ve got to believe that God is in control of your life. It may be a tough time but you’ve got to believe that God has a reason for it and he’s going to make everything good.” ~ Joel Osteen

“Thanks be to God, there is hope to-day; this very hour you can choose Him and serve Him.” ~ D. L. Moody

Quotes from the Bible about hope
Hope is assurance
For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. (Romans 8:24-25)
Hope looks forward
Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off. (Proverbs 23:18)
We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, 4 since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love that you have for all the saints, 5 because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. (Colossians 1:3-5)
So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath, 18 so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us. (Hebrews 6:17-18)
Christ is our hope
To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Colossians 1:27)

THEREFORE I HAVE HOPE
LAM 3:21 nothing else needs to be said
Wonderful verse rev todd brooks, several years ago that passage helped me though a family tragedy. I am thankful that God’s mercies and compassions are new every morning — Great it thy faithfulness! It is in my heart as written by the weeping prophet Jeremiah:
21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (Lam 3:21-23)
Thank you for the reminder!

Dear Christian friend,
Warm greetings in Jesus’ name from Myanmar. It is a great blessing to hearing that you are serving Christ by producing inspired christian books which will be blessing many Christians around the world.
I am Matthew Lian, a lecture at a bible college and church minister in Myanmar. I see your website and notice that you post your books which will be most useful and effective for me. However, it is sad for me when I see all are sold at a price. Frankly speaking, I could not afford to buy any of them sine I am in a very very poor country. So I would like to beg your help to donate some of your books if possible. This little help will be so effective to my ministry in Myanmar. Thanks in advance for your kind help. May the good God bless you and your ministry.
I will look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely in Christ,
Matthew Lian

Pamela,
I am an Interim Pastor at a small Southern Baptist Church in N.C.
We have a prison ministry here. I was wondering if I could use this beautiful work of yours to give to the inmates. I would leave your name and everything listed here on it. Is that something you would give me permission to do?
These people need HOPE and this so encouraging! We mail monthly and I would like to use it on one mailing, maybe 25 copies at the most.
Thanks,
Roger
I see your light through the dark trees, reaching out to me. Your child, I hear you call me. I hear you say, come to me child, it’s ok. I hide between the branches and leaves. Shame, shame on me. How can I face you after all I have done. How I long to run to you and feel your loving arms. Shame, shame on me. How can I knowing how much I’ve hurt you, cemented in fear that I will hurt you again. Shame on me my Lord, shame on me. I am your child…
Please pray for my dad that he goes to heaven and helps others intstead of being busy with working.and please pray for my sister that she will know about Jesus and also go to heaven.thank you!
I love the little word of hope I glanced through it touches my spirit.
I like a quote of J.R.R. Tolkien about hope oft being born when all is forlorn. But I failed to find a sharp meaning of it. So I chose for myself the following one: “Every cloud has its silver lining”. Any other suggestions?
