Oh wow, these prayers are beautiful! The Holy Spirit truly must have led you. I really need these prayers now, so thank you so much. It’s strange how they all seem to really apply to me. God is good!! I pray He bless you greatly!

Thank you so much Candice! It is an honor to be a vessel for our Lord on this site. Thank you for your kind words and blessing! I pray that God will bless you as well!

Derek, I treasure your writings so much my brother for you are indeed a godly man of faith who I know personally have gone thru so many valleys but that may be the point. When we are most desperate and hurting is when we pray the most. I pray God will continue to use you mightily my brother and friend.

Derek Hill June 29, 2013 at 11:39 am

Amen Jack. This past week was a little difficult and I had some times of tears missing my children, but God always comforts me with His promises. He will always make things right, even if it’s not until I am in Heaven with Him. Thank you brother. Your words are always encouraging and uplifting. You are a good friend and brother and I thank God for you!

Beautiful list of prayers, Derek!
My favorites were “Needs/Wants”, “Making Ends Meet”, “Role Models”, “The Darkness” and of course, “Jesus!”

Especially prayed from “The Darkness” part this evening. Hubby Gary & I had to put our dear Sherry, our beagle, to sleep at the Vet Hospital Thursday night. We buried Sherry in the boxed casket in our back-yard. ….It had been a dreary, rainy time most of that day (Friday), yet while saying our final good-byes & reciting a short prayer, the sun bursts through the clouds, the sky a pretty, pale blue! We (Gary, our son, and me) were pleasantly surprised, Derek. Stayed that way til we went back into house, then the sun became hidden again, rain returned. ….I truly believe Sherry went home to Jesus, is now romping in rich grass & fields, without a leash, too! LOL!

Thanks so much for another terrific article, Derek! You’re truly a blessed instrument of God!!!
God’s bountiful blessings upon you, Derek, and your children.
Always, your sister in Christ, Jesus….Patty

Thank you Karena! I am learning the older I get just how intimate God wants us so badly to connect with Him in prayer. All praise to Him! God bless you!

Hello, Derek!
Was reading over this article & the comments again. How terrific our Father is!!! His bountiful blessings and graces flow through all the WCWTK writers to us!! Thank you, Derek, for being an instrument/vessel of God’s Word.
Noticed I had commented, too. (June 29, 2013)
Didn’t think I would be ready to adopt another furry-member to our family for a long, long while. Yet, when dear friends of ours, Jan & Walt, (who had moved from a big house into a small apartment, didn’t think it was fair to their dog being cooped up all day while they were at work) offered Gary & me their dog…Derek, my heart burst with glee & I yelled out, “YES!!!” Hee-Hee!
So, on August 7th, PEPE became a member of our family! Pepe is a Chihuahua/Beagle mix, just turned 2 in October. He’s quite a feisty rascal, Derek! What Gary & I can’t get over is that both Pepe & Sherry have the same fur-coloring, right down to the white-tipped tail!
Of course we’ll always miss our sweet Sherry, but Pepe has made the memories less bittersweet. (Wish I could share a photo of them both here.)
GOD’S PERFECT TIMING…Father KNEW I was ready to adopt!
(Thanks ever so much, my precious Father!!!)

You, Derek, and your children have yourselves a very happy MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Forever your Sis in Christ Jesus ~ Patty

Hi Derek ! Praise God for you. I stumbled across this prayer and wow I found it to be uplifting and practical. I’ve been a child of God for many years, but find it difficult to pray. I would like for you to sincerely pray for me in this area. I really don’t know what it is that’s holding me . But thanks again for the wonderful work that you do. May God bless you and your family. Charmaine

Helpless Sinner February 29, 2016 at 11:08 am

I wish this could make my life better and that I could have faith, but its not that simple. I was a religious studies major and through my studies I realized that their was no god in the sense that I had believed and I wish I could believe in it because I would be less scared. The truth is the world is a scary place. We are hurling through space eternal on a ball of water and fire and we are circling a ball of liquid fire with no protective hand to protect it. I have seen in in the texts and I have seen it in the acts people commit. I pray that I can forget and faith again.

Jack Wellman February 29, 2016 at 3:19 pm

Hello Helpless Sinner. You are in good company for none of us are worthy, not even one of us (Rom 3:10-12) but you can be cleansed and forgiven and made to be seen as having Jesus’ own righteousness (2nd Cor 5:21) so just confess your sins (1st John 1:9) and repent of your sins, and turn to Christ and place your trust or faith in Him. The foot of the cross is level ground. You can be saved today. Please let me know. Praying for you my friend.

borgia December 7, 2016 at 10:47 pm

is it proper for a man who knows and love God to wear earings ?

Jack Wellman December 8, 2016 at 8:22 am

The Bible doesn’t tell us that a man that wears earrings is sinning. I wouldn’t do it, but what’s not right for me doesn’t mean it’s not right for others. As long as he loves God, why should it matter? God looks at the heart (1st Sam 16:7) and not the outside.

Thank You For Such Prayer May The Lord Bless You. Amen
