Nice article Pam! I always love reading about Heaven.

I love writing about it! It really made my day to be able to meditate on all the wonderful things the Bible has to say about Heaven. To God be the glory.

Superbly done, with the exception of mentioning that “Jack” fellow (LOL). I love the Allan Jackson song too. This is so hope filled my friend, truly God has sent you to us to be a messenger of the hope that is found only in Christ Jesus. Thank you.

Jack May 14, 2012 at 4:10 pm

I thank you Joan for your comment, however, we are unable to provide you a copy of a Bible as we are not able to financially. What do you mean that the one you bought was not original? Your church should also have extra Bibles. It doesn’t not have to be the New International Version either, for there are a lot of good translations of the Bible like the King James Version.

Hello I wanted to ask something. If you continued to sin even if it was by accident, but you forgot what you did, but still prayed to GOD to help you stop sinning, and forgie you for ALL your sins specifically will it count as repentance, and will you still be forgiven by GOD?
sorry if i’m unclear in any way.
God bless you all.

Jack May 21, 2012 at 7:20 pm

Jaida, you are being very clear my friend, no problem. We all will sin after we are saved (1 John 1:8) but when we do, He will forgive us. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” We can pray for God to help us, but being imperfect, we will sin again and again (1 John 1:8) but He will count these sins covered when we repent and ask for forgiveness. Yes, God will forgive us. He knows we are not perfect but perfectly forgiven. No guilt. No problem. God is so good.

salvation is once given bt there is another step called working on it and my sister that is what we need and u can see this in the book of philippians 2:12 it says with fear and trembling work on ur salvation so what is happening in ur life sining repeatedly is not what Jesus loves cox dont foget he has already paid for ur sins so the next thing left for u to du is to protect what he has given to u with fear and trembling and u must also seek counselling from ur pastor or anyone who is spiritualy inclined in the word God bless u and dont forget we donnot no when the son of man cometh so we must be prepared at all times God bless bye .

I have a question about forgiveness as well. I was born 3 months premature, and therefore, was baptized twice. Once right after I was born (because they thought I wouldn’t live), and then again as an infant. My parents were Lutheran, and believed that babies should be baptized. As an adult, I believe that people should be baptized when they are old enough to understand and knowingly DECIDE to accept Christ. I’m embarrassed to say however, that I have not been baptized as an adult. I do love and have a relationship w/ God. If I were to die now, having not been baptized as an adult, would I still go to Heaven?

Thank you!

Jack May 24, 2012 at 2:41 pm

Thank you Melissa. I would say that no one is saved by baptism alone but if you are saved I would be baptized as an adult. If you were to die before you were being baptized, understand that Jesus alone saves (Acts 4:12) and placing your faith and trust in Him (Rom 10:9-13) is what saves you, but I still recommend baptism because its an outward, public sign of an inward conversion and pictures the death, burial, and resurrection of you as a new creature in Christ Jesus. What does your pastor say? Talk to him and if you don’t have one, find a good, strong Bible-believing church. Thank you.
