Who is your source of power? This list of awesome power of prayer Bible verses is meant to encourage you today. I pray that you read through these Bible verses and then take them to God in prayer. Ask God for the wisdom and discernment to teach you how He wants you to pray and for what He wants you to pray for. For a great Christian song check out the video to the right Shout to the Lord by Darlene Zschech.
Psalm 107:28-30 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven
Ask
Matthew 7:7 ”Ask, and it will be given to you seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Matthew 21:22 And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”
Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
John 14:13-14 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it
Pray in Faith
Mark 9:29 And he said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer.”
Acts 9:40 But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.
James 5:14-16 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
Always & With Thanksgiving
Ephesians 6:18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,
Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Hi Jack! We did go to a pedia neuro specialist, gastro doctor last month. My son has been having nerve pains and all kinds of pains which started last September. But the doctors could not find anything wrong with his results of MRI, bone scan, X-ray, ultrasound, blood tests. I praise Jesus and all glory to Him for healing my son of his abdominal pain today. He was able to sleep without any pain and woke up pain free. God answers our cries. He is not deaf to our pleas. I learned in this ordeal to be more patient, to be more compassionate, to give more allowances to each others lack. I just praise God for this trial for it made us as a family more closer to Him.
Hello Contessa. Yes indeed, ordeals like this teach us to trust God, be patient in trials, and to draw us closer together. You can count on my prayers. I am so sorry. Let others join us in praying for your son and in Jesus’ Name, we ask so that His name be glorified.
We will all pray for one another, especially that the times are getting harder. Nothing is more powerful than we all get down to our knees and submit everything to God , praising Him for everything that is happening even when it hurts. In 1 Peter 4:12-13 dear friends, don’t be bewildered or surprised when you go through fiery trials ahead, for this is no strange unusual thing that is going to happen to you. Instead be really glad because these trials will make you partners with Christ in His suffering and afterwards you will have the wonderful joy of sharing His glory in that coming day when it will be displayed.(TLB)
Contessa, how is Mikael? I and I am sure many others are praying on his and your behalf.
Hi Terry! My family and i still submit our prayers for my son Mikael. He has been having few symptoms of pain like two days ago was headache before sleeping, we prayed and its gone. Stomach pain, buzzing sound in his ear, we prayed and it disappeared. He feels tired today. We went to the rehab doctor who wants to follow up on his condition. And yesterdays check up, somehow showed a minimum “ankle clonus” on his left side. I pray to God that its not multiple sclerosis. Im being ‘tortured” when i read the details in the web. I pray “whatever is Your Will Dear Jesus, so be it, just comfort us and give us strength”. I pray unceasingly, morning, noon and night, every minute and second…praising God for trials and His goodness. And to use us to spread His gift of Salvation in this trial we are experiencing. God is still to be praised! Thank you Terry for your prayers. I pray for you all too.
I have been struggling for over a month with infidelity in the relationship between my now ex (whom is also my first love) and I. Earlier in our relationship infidelity occurred on my part and I am now finding out that I don’t think I was ever truly forgiven. Her new lover has sad many nasty things about me and given her nothing but sex and words she would like to hear and she has gone astray. She seems really happy, and I am now associated with negative thoughts, and this new person positive. Although I don’t believe this new relationship is based on anything sustaining, it eats my soul daily that the woman I loved seems to be gone and consciously trying to erase me. I have fought long and hard for over a month to try to get the woman I fell in love with back, but I have come up short every time. There is nothing more that I can do. God’s Word says that if we pray and believe then we shall receive, and that we should walk by faith and not by sight. Please pray that she returns to me so that we may fix our relationship and love one another once again like we used to because it is certainly possible with the power of God. I pray that God works a miracle because I am powerless and need him to fix this disaster.
Hello Ku. This sounds so very hard my friend. I am glad you are still believing in the power of God and that He is able to do miracles still. I will pray for you. What is sad is that this other man is obviously not a believer and he will spend eternity regretting what he has done in this life with no chance to ever make it back. Is your “ex” a believer also? If not, perhaps we can pray for her to know Christ for only God can change the stoney human heart to one of flesh (Prov 21:1). That is my prayer and for God to sustain you in this most difficult time Ku.
Thank you so much Jack. She is a seventh day adventist but for the past month she has done nothing but lie to me countless times about this other party. So while she does believe in God, she isn’t exactly being faithful or doing the right things. This other man for a fact has her wrapped around his finger and did his part to make me out to be the bad guy, but I am not giving up because the Lord says that we should never give up and he will never abandon us in our times of need. I thank you and whoever else chooses to pray for my first love and I. We both need the presence of God to guide us and help us restore what was broken.
I am so with you in praying for you both right now. I am so glad you came here and we consider it a privilege to pray for the saints. God bless you Ku.
Thank you so much Jack. I have still been going to the house of the Lord and I have never ceased to pray for this situation. Since then I have found 3 jobs, more than I have been able to find since I graduated in 5 months. Isn’t it amazing that the Lord has been able to do more than I could in 5 months in just 2 weeks?!? I give God all of the glory. As for the girl, I have been receiving phone calls (3) from a restricted number (I have not answered any of these calls) and the only 2 people that call me restricted are my brother and her. My brother says it isn’t him which obviously leaves one person. Please continue to pray for me and my first love. I need God to give me peace and most of all patience (which is something I struggle with) during this hard time. I pray that there is a change of heart and that God delivers her and renews our relationship with Christ at the center of it this time. If this is not the Lord’s will, then I pray that he sends me a godly woman that will never abandon me in my times of need. In Jesus name, Amen. Thank you.
Ku, I keep a prayer journal and I will also pray that I pray that there is a change of heart and that God delivers her and renews your relationship with Christ at the center of it this time. If this is not the Lord’s will, then I pray that he sends you a godly woman that will never abandon me in my times of need.
It is such a joy to see godly men still staying faithful to God even in trials of heartache such as you have endured.
How are you doing Jack? I just want to say that I can confirm first-hand that God has answered prayers. Over the past 2 months my ex-girlfriend has been sending me a lot of emails and messages and we agreed to see each other today for the first time in 6 months. God has given me the victory as I have finally gotten a sincere apology from her for everything that she has done. She apologized for the very specific things like lying, cheating, etc. Since I’ve turned my life to the Lord, I’ve received a good paying professional job, good friends and support, and now finally this area has been resolved. She is asking for another chance between us (she was given many, more than 2 or 3) but she is not to be trusted at all, and my spirit is leading me to say no or at least not right now. I am really focused on God and myself right now and when I wanted to work on things she took that chance for granted and continued to do what she wanted without any regard for my feelings. She claims she is no longer messing around with this other person, but again, I cannot trust her, and I don’t want her to be in my life if this other person is in hers. I want to say thank you for all of your prayer as I’m doing so great for myself now. I hope that you can pray for God’s will between us since that is the next step. I don’t know if we are meant to be because I cannot trust her and I don’t want to set myself up in another trap now that I’m doing just fine. Thanks David Jack Sandra and all others who prayed. God answers prayer and I’m happy that my life can be used as a guidebook for others.
Sir I know your heart is aching for the person you say you love but might I suggest praying that God delivers you to his will and that will surely give you peace. Not everyone is going where were going and some people are not intended to be togethes for life. If its God’s will you will be together, if not be happy in the knowledge you are receiving God’s will
Hi Robert. I don’t think at all that it’s a coincidence that you wrote out this message this morning. My heart aches for this girl because while we weren’t married, we lived that way for the entire 2 years we were together and I thought that was the woman God gave me for life. We were extremely close and the moment I really decided I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her is when this all occurred. I will certainly do what you are suggesting and pray that God delivers me to his will. I actually have been praying that prayer, and since then things in my life have slowly gotten better and better in terms of jobs and the relationship I have with my family. The girl and I spoke for the first time in over a month during the holidays (I sent her a card on Christmas to let her know I forgave her and still love her) and the lines of communication were re-opened. Since then she has been calling me every couple of days. She seems to be really confused. She has changed a bit and I’m quite sure she has different people telling her different things. Regardless, I have never stopped praying for her and I have taken peace in the fact that if it’s God’s will for her and I to be together again, it will happen. However, I have also taken peace in the chance that if me and her aren’t intended to be together for life, that God has great plans for me that I just need to be patient for. I will keep updating
As I said I would update: I finally got closure yesterday. We spoke and to make a long story short you were right Anthony. We are just going two separate ways right now. After we split I chose to give my life to the Lord (perhaps that was her purpose in my life), and I did not want to lose her to the world so I tried my hardest but it seems like that is the case. I told her that if she goes back to the way she used to be, a follower of God and non-worldly, then to come find me when that time comes, and until then it’s better if we don’t speak. I am sad because I miss what we had and the old her was my true love, but I am ready to accept God’s will and all the goodness he has in store for me in the future. I don’t know if me and her are intended to be together for life. But I know if it’s God’s will for us to be together then she will find her way back when he says so. Until then I need to focus on whatever God wants me to do. Thanks a million. That prayer helped me and was answered.
Hi Ku I just want to tell u that its hard when u love someone and they r not on the same page all i can tell u is what happen to me i was with my boyfriend for 3 1/2 years we broke up many times it was me but this time it was him i realized how much i loved him and wanted him back but he didn’t . I got really depressed i knew God but had left his path so i started going to church and praying and fasting and tithing wrote all the desires of my heart i prayedmy heart out in my letter i put for my x to come back if he is ment for me, that he also comes to church and gives his life to Jesus; for us to marry not live in sin; for us to have a baby girl then a boy and for us to be always faithful and a house after 2 1/2 years i thought oh well i guess its not meant to be he has a girl i have a boyfriend. One day he called he had no more girlfriend i had broken up with mine story short we are married we go to church he is serving God we have a lil girl and boy and now we are buying a home so prayer works God loves us and in his time he does it all great not on our time so the relationship will last he does everything perfect. Keep going to church serve the Lord don’t look back God has everything undercover.
Wow! Sandra that is so encouraging you have no idea! I’m not saying the same will happen to me but that definitely lifted my spirit up you have no clue! I definitely won’t stop praying..God’s power and glory is limitless and I’ve always believed in him. Your story is really amazing…..I will definitely continue to serve the Lord! And I will also hold to my word and continue to update these posts, so others who stumble upon this site or are having similar troubles can find peace in what God has done/chooses to do in my life. Thank you so much!!!
Oh waal Sandy you hav encouraged me because i have an almost similar problem
Hi Ku,
I am in a similar situation with my (now) ex-boyfriend . . . fiancé actually. We have been together for almost 6 years. We are each others first love, and we have lived together for a few years. To make a long story short, I lost sight of who I was and decided to break up with him. I told him I wanted to see other people, and even was talking to one of his best friends . . . he was so shocked and hurt by what I did. But I assumed he would forgive me (we had a wonderful relationship). It seemed like for a little bit that we would get back together, but then one day he told me that he didnt want to give me a second chance, and wants nothing to do with me. I cant even contact him because that will just make things worse. This all started mid october 2012 and he told me it was over mid december. I am crushed because I truly feel like we are soul mates. I told him how sorry I was, but he is not budging. I trust Gods will and throughout this time, I’ve received so many signs that we will be together again. I want to believe these signs but it’s hard when the situation doesn’t match up. Also, trust in God is very new to me. I prayed for you after reading your story. It’s comforting to know someone else is in a similar situation. I also pray for my ex to have a change of heart. Best of luck to you.
Hi Ambry,
I am sorry to hear what happened to you! It does feel better knowing that we are going through similar situations. Thanks for keeping me in your prayers because I will do the same. I have left the situation in the hands of God and I advise that you do the same. Continue to pray for your ex. I haven’t fully gone through this yet to tell you all of the answers, but I have found comfort in knowing that God is in control of my life. If it is his will for the ones we want to enter back in our lives, I have total faith that it will occur. Please pray for God’s will to be done in your life and try your best to be patient,
faithful, and trust in God. If you would like someone to talk to about it since we are going through almost
the same thing I wouldn’t mind exchanging contact information with you. God bless!
Hi Ku,
feel free to email me at ambrylane@aol.com
Ku,
Thanks for being so transparent and allowing other followers of Jesus to speak into your life. Clearly what is happening here is God allowing you to reap what you have sown.
Galatians 6:7-8
7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
Jesus made it clear that the only allowance for divorce is infidelity, even though it is not God’s desire, even in the case of infidelity. But it was like He knew humans would have such a hard time forgiving this, so He allowed it.
Matthew 19:8-9
8 Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. 9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”
Still, divorce is never God’s will for anyone, because He hates it!
Malachi 2:16
16 For I hate divorce,” says the Lord, the God of Israel, “and him who covers his garment with wrong,” says the Lord of hosts. “So take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously.”
As you truly repent of your sin, the blood of Jesus washes you clean and you are a new creation!
1John 1:7
7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
2 Corinthians 5:17
17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
Jesus is not about condemning us, He is about setting us free!
John 3:16-17
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
So my question for you brother is have you been delivered from that which caused you to defile your marriage bed? You can become a Christian and still have this stronghold in your life, which will affect your future relationships. Jesus has saved you from hell, now He wants to come into your heart and clean house! He wants to cut the chains of bondage in all areas of your heart and mind one at a time! This is why He instructed us to pray: “deliver me from the evil one” in the Lord’s Prayer. When we make agreements with the enemy even my choosing to like at one picture on one website for example, we have invited bondage back into our life!
Galatians 5:1
It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
This verse would not exist were it not possible for a Christian to enter again into sin and making agreements with the devil.
I suggest you allow some followers of Jesus to do some inner healing prayer with you. You need to ask God who you need to forgive and forgive them, what lies you have believed and renounce them, and what stongholds the enemy has in your heart and break them! All in the Name of Jesus! The only Name that has any power or authority in all heaven, earth and even below the earth! EVERYTHING must bow to the Name of Jesus! Even the thoughts in your own mind! (2 Corinthians 10:5)
I was unfaithful to my wife, even before we were married and we now have 5 children and have been married for 17 years and our marriage is amazing! Praise God! God can and will restore all that you destroyed in your life, but it starts with you examining your own heart and letting Him deliver you from all evil, and lots of prayer, Love and forgiveness.
I am praying for you and your wife now.
Blessings
David
Hi David,
Thanks for your response. Ever since I made the choice to leave this situation alone and focus on myself and God, this girl has been trying to reach me. This girl has been claiming to have moved on for over 2 months, yet she continues to pop up and contact me. I’ve been avoiding her because I see no reason for us to be talking and I mentioned this to her the last time we spoke. She has been saying that I’ve been on her mind lately and she wants to know if I’m okay. If anything, I need prayer for a softer heart because I don’t have the same feelings I used to (I’ve moved on) and feel quite indifferent towards her. I know this because she sent me an email about a week ago with details about her personal life including the fact that she now has a boyfriend. I couldn’t have cared less and I thank God for taking me from where I was (that info would’ve hurt me last year) to where I am now. The boundary I’ve established between us has allowed me to move forward and ahead in my life and I plan to keep it this way. She has become the equivalent of a stranger. I pray for her constantly but after what she did, I don’t think I want (and I certainly don’t need) her in my life anymore. However, God has his own way of doing things. If it’s in his plans for us to be together again then I’m sure he will work it out that way. I appreciate you praying for us and I think that is magnificent. I am also thankful for your testimony of what has happened in your life. That is incredibly amazing! As you can see from my above posts, I hoped the same thing for this girl and I last year, but after what’s happened, I’d be short-changing myself to continue to want that. You are the second person this week that I’ve run into that has brought up the topic of forgiveness and this girl. I do believe I’ve forgiven her because I don’t seek revenge nor wish any harm upon her, I don’t harbor any hate for her (I just don’t want anything to do with her), and I pray for her sincerely. Please continue to pray for us.
Thank you so much.

Hi I have been praying for this house we put a contract on with my husband there is a lot of legal stuff going on but i know for God nothing is impossible I know when you pray you use verses from the bible that help with your situation but im stuck what verses can i use for buying a house for God to help us in our favor to for the bank and seller to agree with our contract to move in our favor with the loan when you pray for sickness i know the verse and other things but to buy a house legal things im so stuck can you help me and also help me pray thank you
Sandra, here is a verse giving assurance that our Heavenly father will meet our needs. Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Also consider Mathew 7:8-11.
I and my wife have also been considering a different home. I think the important thing to remember is to pray that He provide us with what will be to our benefit. However, sometime that will not be what we are currently expecting. The property you are looking at may be what you want and the place I am looking at may be what I want, however, the Lord may have different plans for each of us. We do not see “the whole picture” but God does.
We need to pray that we receive what is according to his will and best for each of us. It may be this house for you and mine for me, or it may be something completely different that would show up 6 months-a year etc down the road.
I do pray that you get this home if it is Gods best choice for you.
I do not know of any verses specifically about buying a house but we do know that there are ways to pray and most important is to pray for God’s will and in Jesus’ name. Here is an article that will give specific ways to pray and how to do so at;
http://www.whatchristianswanttoknow.com/how-should-i-pray-a-biblical-analysis/
I hope this helps. Trust God for all things work out for the good for those who love God and are called according to Him purpose (Rom 8:18, 28).
Thank u Terry for praying for us and for that verse in the bible. I will also pray for you and ur family.
Hi Jack,Hi Jack,
Hello Jack. This is a wonderful website I am glad to find it. My husband and I have been married for 19 years. We are blessed with three children. We have been so happy and faithful to each other until two years ago when my husband cheated on me for a year and half relationship. I found out a little too late when the other woman was seven month pregnant. The affair came to an end but we were waiting for the baby to be born so we can do the DNA test and if it is positive we can take care of the baby since they are the gift from regardless the way they have been conceived. I was praying to God more than I have prayed my entire life. The baby was born, but the lady did not want to do the test. The court forced her to do and the results came negative. Just wanted to let whoever is reading this message that GOD will answer your prayers if you believe!!!! I was so sure that GOD will give me a good answer he did. He united me and my husband and said that no one will separate us and I believe in him so so much. So fellows if you have anything which is troubling you pray pray pray and believe it your prayers it will be answered. Please praying for my husband that he will not fall again. Lets pray for our families please. Amen
Amen Stacy. What a precious post. I thank God that there are women of faith like you who want to save marriages as marriages are in serious trouble these days. I will pray that your husband resists the temptation to fall again. Perhaps this situation will work to the good to make him think before he acts again. God bless you and your husband Stacy.
It feels as if GOD reveals himself like a seed that grows into a rose or a tree. At first, you may not feel like anything at all is happening, but if you remain stubborn and you refuse to let go of him in the midst of your mess and your confusion and your depression and your dispare…he is there, but he does not work as man does because man is impatient by nature. We are growing a relationship with god just as any other nurturing relationship grows with time. Growing requires alot of patience and it cannot be forced or rushed. If you are suffering in any way…the very best medicine is GOD. Many times we look to others to fill our voids for us and then we get mad when they don’t. Sometimes failed relationships are a blessing in disguise because we are supposed to be looking to god who supplies all of our needs according to his good works. Only god can fill our voids.
Glory to god.
my name is joe and my question is i would like to speak with toung what do i do, thenk you
Hello Joe. Let me direct you to an article that is biblically based about the gift of tongues at:
http://www.whatchristianswanttoknow.com/what-is-speaking-in-tongues-a-biblical-analysis/
I would also add that we can’t pray for a gift of the Spirit that God does not intend for us to have. God gives the gifts as HE desires and for HIS purpose and not ours. I hope this helps you. Thank you Joe.
Hi to everyone..hope you could pray for me and my wife for we are near on getting financially broke…as i read the verses my heart sores high for i know in prayer everything will be answered…i just need your help to pray for us so we could gain strength and believe that God will answer our prayers….
Hello Joevert. I have you on my prayer journal and pray others will join in to pray for you for God to provide you help. God is fully trustworthy and so you can depend upon Him.
Thank you Jack….it seems my world is tumbling down due to our problems…i just need to hang on to our Lord…
Please unite in prayer with me for my daughter Jessica. She is currently 20 weeks pregnant and is experiencing complications. Doctors placed her on bed rest. Hello Demaca. I will put you on my prayer journal and pray others will join in to pray for you and your daughter Jessica and baby Shaun. God be with them all and we ask your divine touch and all to the glory and in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Hi Jack, Terry…
My fiance walked out at the last moment, and we didnt go through the wedding… we dated for a long time. it is very hard for me to get over.
I am in lack of peace, I am of two minds and I sometimes think about praying for have him back.
I am of two minds because… about 99% of my family of believers pointed out to me this is a blessing in disguise, because of his nature (his bad temper, addiction to noccotine etc…) ..he has on few occasions, hit me too.. I have ‘no peace’ because somedays I would really (like ‘Ku’) wanna try again and “have a shot” at fixing and stitching what was torn and stitching it better… and not throw away a relationship that we have both worked on, until it was almost solemnized..
I have no peace, i dont really know what to pray for,
i guess in this case perhaps it’s more urgent to pray “oh, Lord, that i have a brain!” than it is to pray “oh, Father, please, bring him back again / restore things”
I know what James 1:5 says, but i dont think it is ‘wisdom’ i ask, in this case… in this case I HAVE to calm down, have peace… and 1) really come ‘to the spot’ where I know “to ask for him back, OR NOT”, and then 2) ask. there is so much distraction: anger, unforgiveness, questions, daily living to attend to… so much. too much. …i am able to take a year off work and think… (and just do part time projects along the way) but so many things rile me up… my folks are very loving, touchy. much as they understand what i am going thru, they have not stopped being touchy with each other. it is VERY HARD watching people get it on (and at such close quarters too) when i am myself and just recovering …with tv you can switch it off. with dad mom, i just have to endure… they are VERY tough on hierachy… NO WAY i can tell them to be considerate towards me… i am suffering each day just having to live in my present predicament. i see the folks often (i have to) it’s not possible to ‘escape’ or just ask them to bring down the heat. oh my god. i really wish to be away from this pressure cooker.
Hello Julianne. I am so very sorry. I was lonely for years and years before God sent someone to me. I found that there are more godly potential mates in church. Do you have many singles in the church you attend? Does it have a young peoples study? If not, perhaps you can talk to the pastor about starting one. I will pray for you as I have a prayer journal and I will put you there with Ku and Che for you all three are suffering so much and it is hard to watch other couples when your heart is breaking. Think of what Jesus felt. He was betrayed by His own disciples at Calvary, His own nation, only His mother, Mary and John stayed to the end. Praying for you.
Hi Jack,
I have stumbled upon this site as of late and was reading through some of the pages this wonderful site has to offer. I recently broke up with a girl who was raised and lives the life of an Orthodox Jew. I was heartbroken, but come to find out, our past six months, we had gotten closer physically. About two weeks ago, we found out she is pregnant. I am struggling so mightily that we save this child from a sad day that might happen this coming Friday. The mother of this child does not want to keep it and I am in the other boat. I share excitement and joy in that I was able to create a child of God. I have been praying and have a group of close friends and family praying that the decision is made to keep God’s child on this earth. Could you pray for a change of heart and a peace of mind for the woman I love, so that we may be able to raise a child of God and not let the devil have a stronghold on her heart and this baby? The power of prayer is amazing and I have already seen God’s hand in this, but having outsiders pray for the most uplifting of outcomes is what I need and what she needs at this moment. Thank you!
Hello Dru. You must fight for this unborn child because abortion is nothing short of murder. The unborn can not fight to save their own lives and so we must fight for them. I will pray for this woman to have a change of heart and God CAN change it (Prov 21:1). If she doesn’t want it, at least YOU take responsibility for your actions and offer to take care of this baby yourself. God is the author of life and this life is no accident. I will pray as you request. Please keep in touch over this Dru.

Hello Jack,
Please pray for me and my ex- fiancé. We are also each others first love and we’ve been together since we were 15. We had a wonderful relationship for over 5 and a half years. To make a long story short, I left him, then realized my mistake, but he would not take me back. I am devastated because I truly feel like he is my soulmate. I know thats how he felt about me too, but now he is too hurt to forgive me. I am a new believer, and I know if it is God’s will, then it will be so. I even asked God to guide me to help me understand if I should move on or have hope. Thats when I learned about the power of prayer. I took that as a sign, and have had many wonderful signs since then that seem to be telling me to fight off my fear and believe that my prayers will be answered. I want so much to believe we will be reunited, but it’s so difficult when the situation doesn’t match up. Please pray for him to come around and please pray for me to trust God. I prayed for you and I’m so grateful for this site.
Hello Ambry. Let me say this that if your ex-fiance is not forgiving you over this, what makes you think he would be a good husband. He might even be more unforgiving and being an unforgiving person is a strong indicator that this person is not saved. God may have been sparing you some great heartache but blocking this marriage and then you would have ended up divorcing and being unable to remarry again. I will pray for GOD’s will to be done, not necessarily what we want. For God knows our ultimate best and it doesn’t sound like its your best to have a husband that is unforgiving. Does that make sense? I am sorry I have to put it this way but I truly want what’s best for you and God’s will is always best.
I have read some of the letters here and my story is similiar.
I was with this young guy and he was 16 my junior. We were happy and I thought maybe we can make it, but I knew he wanted children and I was up in age. He started driving me crazy and my feelings started to change. I was going to cook for his birthday and there I met this guy Michael. I wasn’t attracted to him at first, but he grew on me. I called it off with the young guy so he can find the wife he wanted. I begin to see this guy, who just got divorce and he said he was looking for a wife. I want to get married and I told him up front that I was not looking to have any part-time associate. He said neither was he. I begin to fall for him. Longer the short he is always doing a disppearing act. I hadn’t seen him in 6 weeks, and every blue moon we would talk. He came over for his birthday, which I though it would be great and he whine up telling me about the things that I do and that he doesn’t like. I think I have fallen in love with him and it hurt to here him say that I’m not the man for you, but I might be the man you need. I think he only change that because he saw the hurt in my eyes. I want to show him I’m the marrying type and that we can be happy, but I keep doing dumb stuff. I will keep going to church and praying that we re-unite together and this time forever. I also need prayer for a new job because my firm is closing soon and I need prayer for my daughter who is 21 and just found out the she has lupus, she wants kids, but she has 3-4 years to do it or she won’t be able to have any. I also need prayer on My mom who atteries are clog, but she won’t get the stint she needs . I thank all of you for your prayer and I will be praying for you as well.
LOVE ALL ACCEPT ALL AND PRAY FOR ALL
Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do,
that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it
John 14:13-14
we have dated for two yeas and we had a plan to get married.he broke the commitment and started dating other women we eventualy broke up.i need him into ma life he is a good person and i love him
av realised i should pray for him .i need your prayers too
I will pray for you Margaret. I know this sounds hard but it is good to find out what he is really like today, before you got married and into a bad marriage. No marriage is better than a bad one. I think I will join you in praying for him because no godly man breaks a commitment with a godly woman (like you)./
Thanks jack av just learned that he has introduced another lady to the neighbors…i have been there for him during thin times.but i know God can change everything into blessing..i know he loves me but devil has disguised him.he used to be faithfull and trust worthy. I know everything is possible with God no matter how big is my problem i trust in him…please i need everyones prayer and God will bless you.
Margaret. I know there are prayer warriors here. Let us pray and perhaps you can fast and I do fast occasionally so I will also pray for God to do a miracle and let’s pray for Jesus’ name to be glorified in the answer and that is the purpose for ALL prayer…to glorify Jesus’ name as we pray or beg the Father to intervene by the Holy Spirit’s power. Perhaps you will find comfort in Psalm 37 which is where we are to trust in, rely upon, wait on, lean on, rest in God to do a mighty work and God promises to grant us the desires of our hearts IF we delight in Him.
These ten bible verses really communicate wonders. Very often we as Christians complain more than pray. We forget Thant we serve a great and wonderful God who is able to do more than we can ask or imagine

HELLO ANNA,
IT SHALL BE WELL WITH YOU..COUNT ON MY PRAYERS..STAY BLESSED.
Hi Jack
Am 23 yrs now, not working and haven’t gone to school
Am asking for prayers as i want to go to school, and that my father can hear me when i tell him that i want to go school.
I have taken Jesus a month ago and i believe that everything asking by Prayer it shall be given.
Hello my friend. I will pray just as you request. Thank you for your comment and prayer request Rob. You said that “I have taken Jesus a month ago.” What does this mean? Does this mean you have put your trust in Christ to save you? Have you told your father this? Have you told your pastor this? Or do you even have a church home? Yes, we can ask anything by prayer and it will be given IF it is God’s will and you are living an obedient life in Christ and worshiping with the saints as we are commanded to do so in Hebrews.
Yes i have put my trust in Christ,
I haven’ told my father…..
I did told my Pastor,
I dnt have a home Church.. Y bcos my parents attend a different church from the one that i have chosen weeks ago.
Hello Jerminah. I am confused my friend. You said you told your pastor but you say you don’t have a church home. Your father doesn’t like your belief in Christ yet both your parents attend a different church. If you don’t have a church home, you are going to have a difficult time for our faith is not to be walked in Christ alone for He is the Head of the Church and we are His body, many memberrs, not detached members living alone. ALL of the New Testament letters (epistles) were written to churches, not individual believers. I urge you to join a local church or you will have a difficult time my friend.
I need guidance and prayer
Started dating a guy that was alcoholic and.big pill taker. He promises this that.Is good for awhile goes back.Says he is on some pills now that are helping him.He went to detox went back to drinkinQuestion inky mind will he stop.Says he loves me.so much.I feel like being pulled back and.forth.I need some.guidance.
I was the one asking about the alcoholic
He has said he.doesn’t want to be like this.He treats me well.Has expressed going to church with me.Everyone has told me to leave him. I really love him..But don’t want life of misery. He said he quit drinking fir 4years went back.I am.being blinded here.or can.he really be healers? Kathy
Kathy, thank you for your question. My first concern is if this man is a Christian or not. You should not even be considering a relationship with him if he isn’t.
Also, I would be cautious since he went back to drinking. Alcoholics can be abusive and I would, if I were you, stay away for now until he overcomes this. Have you spoken with your own pastor over this? I would talk to him first.
Hello Jack.I’m having trouble finding employment also I’m having trouble paying for my school.Something deep inside is telling me not to worry and every thing will work out for me but some day’s I don’t worry about it then some day’s it sits heavy on my heart. Also I have sick grandmother that I worry about.I’m asking for prayer’s also please. I need some good quotes from the bible to encourage me.Thank you
Hello Kenneth. I am sorry about your having a hard time finding a job. I will pray for you friend….in the meantime, here are some great Scriptures for you to help:
In Psalm 37:25 David says, “I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.”
Matt 6:26 “Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
Luke 12:24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!
Matthew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.
Job 38:41 Who provides food for the raven when its young cry out to God and wander about for lack of food?
Psalm 104:28 When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things.

I have a prayer request for my ex girlfriend to come back to me. She is my favorite person in the world and I lost her by being a lazy, selfish boyfriend. We have been apart for nearly 3 months and not a second goes by without me thinking of her. I pray everyday for her to return. She has a troubled past and often would say she isn’t good enough but she is an amazing person. I want to spend the rest of my life with this woman. Please pray for God to return us together and for me to be able to look past and forgive her hurting me by leaving me. The Devil is working on her hard and she has had relations with another man and has been drinking a lot since we split. I know I am the best man for her and love her unconditionally. Thank you everyone. God Bless
Hello Jack
My husband walked out on me 4
weeks ago just after finding out I was
pregnant( my miracle baby) for I have
been fitted with an IUD for the last
3yrs. He had always wanted me to
have the iud removed but I resisted.
But the lord so it fit for us to be
blessed with a child. During this time
my father in law passed away (a week
ago) and this may have also
contributed to the length of our
separation. What I do know is that on
God our father can heal and restore
our relationship. I am truly blessed to
have found this site, for it is a
reminder that thru our lord nothing is
impossible. I ask u all that we be
prayer warriors for each other as we
pray for the restoration and healing of
our relationships, and the banishment
of the devil from our lives, I am truly
humbled to have found this site.
Thank u all so much
Wow Mary…your faith is so strong. May God richly bless you as I and I hope others will pray for you in your difficult circumstances.
praise the Lord everyone! please pray for may daughter she has partial headache
i like this passage form the Bible bcoz prayer in Christian life is crucial then any other things.
i like this passage because prayer in Christian life is crucial and sometimes i fell discourage and bored to pray but his passage has help and encourage me to pray.
I recently separated and filed for divorce from my wife of almost four years. I’ve been married twice before. I know God hates divorce and in the last month I’ve discovered without a doubt in my mind that I DON’T WANT A DIVORCE!!! This is the woman that I want to grow old with. We both have our flaws and I know it takes two to make or break a marriage. I know in years past my faith has been weak and for this I am truly ashamed. After our separation and filing I started praying and thinking and spent sleepless nights doing this. I know what the problem is and want to fix it. The problem is that with a majority of Christians that we pray and seek Gods help only in time of need, as is the case with me. The reality is that we need to pray all the time and keep our faith all the time. Not just in bad but also in good times. My wife is not speaking with me right now since we separated. I know that she loves me very much but am not sure that she will open her heart back up to me to repair this marriage. We were in this same situation before and managed to pull out of it. I need prayer for two things. One is for me to keep my faith with God strong at all times, not just the bad times. The second thing I pray that my wife and I never get a divorce and stay together until death do us part. The state I live in has a 90 day period for divorce. We’re into it about 35 days. Pray for this to be fixed!
I will most assuredly pray for you Kevin. I am so sorry for such a trial as this but I am overjoyed that you want to save your marriage and this is pleasing to God to see your commitment is serious my friend. Amen to your statement that we need to pray always and never cease and this is hard for me to do myself but to be a part of saving your marriage I commit to do that for you sir.
