Thank You Robert Driskill. This is a wonderful testament. I’ve bookmarked it to read again and again.

Robert March 11, 2013 at 2:36 pm

I pray that my story will inspire others to follow Jesus.

Robert I am so encouraged and inspired by your testimony. How lovely to know that God has saved you for such a time as this. Thank you for sharing your heart here.

Robert March 11, 2013 at 2:38 pm

Thank you, Pamela,
It is always encouraging when I look back and see what God has done in my life. I may not have recognized it at the time, but in hindsight, it is perfectly clear.
Yours in Christ,

Fantastic and so encouraging Robert. Thank you sir. I believe that if I was to depend on my own strength, I could only tie my shoestrings and little else during the day. I am nothing of myself and your acknowledgment of God being our strength is spot on the mark brother.

Robert March 11, 2013 at 2:39 pm

Thank you, Jack,
I often say that if it hadn’t been for God reaching down to me, I wouldn’t be here right now. He saw me in my darkness and filled me with light. He is so good to us.
Yours in Christ,

Jack March 11, 2013 at 12:35 pm

Another wonderful account of a Christian’s life. Yet again, an interesting true story of a man’s battle to find meaning in life. And he found it…… the minute he accepted Jesus as the Savior 😀

Robert March 11, 2013 at 2:41 pm

You are absolutely right, Jack,
Only in Christ can true meaning be found. That is my message. God bless you, brother.
Yours in Christ,

Thanks Robert for writing this. Everytime I read a testimony I seem to get the goosebumps as God’s work in the lives of each of us is so wonderful.

Robert March 11, 2013 at 2:42 pm

It was my pleasure to write this article as it took me back down memory lane to revisit all that God has done for me…and continues to do.
Yours in Christ,

Robert, thank you for this wonderful testimony. God is so amazing in how He draws us to Himself. This testimony is a blessing to me and I thank you for being transparent and allowing us to see your journey with the Lord. God bless you brother!

Thanks Robert for such a light in what many Christians today hold on – coming from a religious backgroung. Many think that by being born in to afamily of Christians makes you authomatically become a christian and your salvation guaranteed, false believe. Thank God for a testimony like this that will be like an eye opener for such unbelieving Christian. May the grace of God continue to abound in your life through the power of the Holy Spirit for that which you save to do- serve others. Godbless you. Gideon

Robert, I have been a Christian for 20 years and yet for the last 5 I have reverted back to immorality that characterized my life before becoming a Christian. Like you I studied the Bible and even taught adult Sunday school, etc. I bought all kinds of scholarly books and yet I got pulled back into an addiction to immorality, which I am struggling to get out of, but haven’t been that successful. I long for the surrender that you told about in your story. I found your testimony today by googling strength from the Lord. I believe it is God speaking to me and I am ready to surrender and rededicate my life. Thank you brother for being there for me on this Website.

Robert May 23, 2013 at 2:35 pm

Hi Bob,
Well, I don’t believe in coincidences, so God must have orchestrated me writing this and you reading it. I pray that He will strengthen you and help you get closer to Him. Much of my battle was relying too much on things other than God for my strength and the other part was remembering that, even if I fall, He is there to forgive and pick me up. God bless you, Bob.

Hello, Robert!
Came across your article with Scriptures today from a fellow writer on WCWTK, Crystal McDowell. Love how this site gives access to the readers to check out other articles. (Had shared my ‘testimony’ on Pastor David Peach’s site several months ago.)

Like Josh above commented (March 11, 2013) I also “get the goosebumps” whenever I read or hear testimonies from other Christians! It’s an affirmation, a reflection of my own faith and love in our Father God, His Son, Jesus, His Holy Spirit. It’s also such a joy hearing about how one accepted Sweet Jesus as their Savior!

Robert, your testimony was incredibly uplifting, reassuring that indeed “…God did not give up on me, but kept drawing me to Him until I understood the truth and importance of the Gospel message.” True, a mighty God we serve!!!

Thanks bunches for sharing such a precious, wonderful testimony with all of us, Robert!!!
God’s wonderful blessings & graces be showered upon you, Robert, and your family!!!
Always, your Sis in Christ Jesus ~ Patty

It is always encouraging when I hear that anything I’ve done results in the edification of others. God bless you.
