How do you know it is the holy spirit that is leading you?…How do you let the spirit guide you? I hope that makes since…

Pamela Rose Williams September 2, 2012 at 4:02 pm

Hi Matthew, I am so sorry it took so long to respond to you. Here is my best answer. You know the Holy Spirit is guiding you when it is to something that will be pleasing to God. If you are being guided into something sinful, then it is not the Holy Spirit — rather that is Satan tempting you. Because God (Holy Spirit) is holy and He will NEVER lead you to do something unholy.

The way you let the Spirit guide you is to listen to His promptings. When you have a choice to make, the Holy Spirit will prompt you to do the right thing … sometimes it is a simple nudge that you know it is the right thing … sometime He recalls Scriptures to your mind.

I hope this is helpful.

I experienced a lot of distrusts and let down by people who were might to care for me, people who I trusted and would do anything for including opening my house,my family and everything I had to (and at times would not mind to go without). The sad thing is it still happens.
As a result, I am sruggling to forgive those people and I find it hard to trust people. It is stopping me from even getting closer from groups in my church as someone took advantage of my kindness there too.
I would really like to be able to forgive and let go. I have prayed for God to give me a clean heart. I have pledged the precious blood of Jesus Christ etc. Why is it not happening for me yet?
Does it mean I don’t have the grace of God? I pray almost everyday in the quiet hours of the morning.
I do believe that Jesus died for my sins, rose again after 3 days and asended into heaven. I have been born again in Christ.
Why am I finding it so difficult to apply the Word in certain ares of my life and not others, as I have been healed from cancer through faith in Jesus Christ.
Please help me.

Hi Dawn,
You were being healed from Cancer through your faith in Jesus Christ, is truly a testimony of the unconditional love
of our Lord Grace.

Our Lord have said ” forgive others as I have forgiven you.”
Jesus was and is without sin yet for the love of us he carries our sin with him that we are saved and made righteous through him. Our sins have been forgiven
because of his finished works at Calvary. He was BRUTALLY beaten and was left to die the slow, excruciating
torture of death by crucifixion.

Let your anger not hurt ourselves because if you don’t let go you are hurting yourself not the other persons.

It is better to resolve the issues by letting the other persons knows how you feels and let them know you are
all forgiving. In this way you are glorifying Jesus.

Remember unresolved hurts can cause unnecessary stress
which is not good for health.

I hope and pray that you would see the light through Jesus Christ.

If we have the ten commandments , why do we need the Holy Spirit to speak to us on what to do ? Isn’t the Holy Spirit speaking to us, the same as reading the law ? If we cannot keep the ten commandments , it seems natural that we would not obey the Holy Spirit either, when He tells us something to do . If Jesus freed us, so now we can obey the Holy Spirit , then why don’t I feel this power , but rather, the same power that made me not obey the ten commandments. I surely feel the devils power in not obeying God , shouldn’t I feel the same power from God to obey the commandments ,that the Holy Spirit reminds me to keep ?

Jesus said that if you love Me you will keep my commandments. We obey out of a sense of love for what God has done. You cannot depend on “feelings” as the real evidence but Jesus said by their fruit you will know them and we can do nothing without Him (John 15:1-8). No one can keep the speed limit perfectly but we should obey the best that we can, right? The devil doesn’t make us sin, we are sinners already (Read Romans 7). We choose to sin or choose to obey, not what we feel Make sense sir? thank you Rick.

I know we have said it all however, we should know God is merciful.. Do not think because you committed a sin today, you are not fit to be in his presence. if you want cleansing why run away from the cleanser?
