You have reminded us of the importance of praying for our pastors. I think we forget that they struggle with the same issues we struggle with, but very often they don’t have anyone to help them through it. Thank you calling our attention to this and inspiring me to be more faithful to pray for my pastor.
Yours in Christ,

It is such a nice thing to pray for our pastors that they are led by e spirit to serve our Father. As l am also a leader,it is my prayer that l preserve myself holy for God,as stil a youth let l not be transformed by this world, but by e word of God. l pray that l be a good leader, l pray that the zeal and passion l hve for doing our fathers ministry never burn out. Together in prayer we break all barriers in our christian lives. peace be with you

Tafadzwa, God bless you in all areas of your life. God loves you so much that He has invested this much in you. We live to serve God, we are here to please God. May He be with you throughout your journey and may He give you wisdom that surpasses all understanding. We really need more leaders/ pastors like you who have the zeal and oomph to serve God.

Nozipho July 10, 2012 at 3:15 am

I always pray for the pastor, leadership of the church and their families that God may give them the wisdom to lead us to God and to do His will. I always pray that God may provide for their every need. I pray for their health and well being. I pray for their marriages , I pray for peace, love, joy and respect in their marriages. I even pray for the leaders of this country, that it can be people who are born again, people who know and love God so as to ask for wisdom from God. My pastor had a vision, and we need christians with visions or individuals with vision. I was asking myself why the Old Church was successful the way it was, how come christians performed miracles the way they did, how they had faith like a mustard seed and my pastor preached about Acts 2 for the whole month. And the answer to my question was clear ” they did everything together , in one heart and in one accord, they sold all their possesssions and divided according to each one’s needs. That is why the Holy spirit was always with them. They fellowshipped together and daily. The key word being daily. Meaning there is power in fellowshipping daily. So our pastor had a vision that we needed to go back to fellowshiping daily if we want to see miracles happen in our midst. And funny enough they used to do it back then and I do not know what happened. We started last week and it has been great and the Lord has been wonderful. So he devided us into two groups for now, each group has a Peter and the eleven as it says in verse 14. God promises us that if we keep doing this He will add multitudes to our church who will be saved. He will give those who need promotions at work and that He will provide for us. Some of the days we will be encouraging each other, discussing certain topics that will help us grow as individuals and as achurch. We discuss the challenges we face everyday. We give each other moral support. I am really excited and am looking forward to our meetings. My main pray is for God to reveal to each and everyone of us their spiritual gifts and to activate them so as to know which part of the body one is. The gifts will help in building the church. I would love to have almost all of them but the ones I wish for most are: Gift of Wisdom, Gift of Faith, Gift of Prophecy, Gift of Interpretation of different tongues and the Gift of Healing. I am certain I have the gift of healing, faith , prophecy and interpretation of toungues but I’ve never interpreted but its in my spirit that I have. I desire the gift of Wisdom bcos really without wisdom we are doomed. I also desire the gift of praise and worship. I would really love to praise and worship and the Holy Spirit just take control. I believe if you can see that there is a problem somewhere, you should be able to fix the problem (Prophecy and Healing) What is your take, somebody anybody? I would really appreciate your responses and views.

Hello Nozipho, Thank you for pouring your heart into this comment.

I believe that God fixes problems, now we. He uses us to do His work. That’s my take.

Nozipho July 11, 2012 at 12:56 am

Thank you Pam, and on my statement I meant the Holy Spirit within us should use us as vessels to fix the problem. You are blessed.

I find that praying the Word of God over my Pastor and any other person of authority is the most effective. His Word will not return unto Him void but it will accomplish all that it was sent forth to do.

I opened this site on the perfect day as me and the worship team that i lead at our church we decided to pray for our pastor together with his family. It was laid in my spirit one Sunday as we were interceding at church that pastors needs our prayers because they invest more of their time in the church and praying for us as well and i knew that we not doing enough we need to stand in the gap for them in prayer. Thank you so much for this write-up Pamela it truly an inspiring one and i love the prayers you made there, they are so real and sincere and it is the kind we don’t pray daily but very powerful. I am blessed.

This is great reminder to pray for our pastors and spiritual leaders, as well as the whole church. I think I would add one/two more and that is good spiritual mentors/leaders for them as well as a time of respite.

Very uncommon prayer points.
Especially when many people think the pastors are super heroes

Jack Wellman September 6, 2019 at 10:13 am

These are common prayers for all pastors, so why do you say these are uncommon. “Many people think the pastors are super heroes?” As one, I know of not one person that thinks this way…we are just like anyone else, so why such anger against pastors? You grumble against God’s servants, you grumble against God Himself.
