Hi Pamela,

Thank you for your great article and bringing to remembrance couples of faith.

I personally like the NT account of Aquila and Priscilla. They are always mentioned together as one unit. They, as you know, were exiled from Rome under Claudius’s edict and took up shop @ Corinth tent-making side by side, when Paul joined them and developed a life long friendship with the couple.

What I like about them is that they might not have been great preachers yet they witnessed and shared the Gospel with others including Apollos, who was an eloquent speaker and led him to faith in Christ.

Reminds me of the “little people” who shared with Billy Sunday and D.L. Moody. What a blessing these unsung heroes lives were to the body.

Paul, as one of his last farewells before his imminent execution requests:

“Greet Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus” (2 Tim. 4:19).

….still poignantly remembering his dear friends from years ago.

Can you think of Bible Couples who demonstrated openness in their marriage?

Jack Wellman January 17, 2018 at 6:04 pm

Hello Armelia. I don’t know what you mean by openness in marriage. If you mean that they committed adultery then, at least we know David did, but was forgiven. Why do you ask?
