Thanks for stopping by LaDonna. I appreciate you reading and leaving a comment. I dropped by your website. I love the FROG acronym.
great stuff!
Very enlightening
Hi, David. I was surfing the web in search of some inspiration on “strength” scriptures. God’s providence lead me across your path…seemingly out of nowhere. I am a teacher of ASL at our local high school. I have a MS in deaf studies/deaf education. I have prayed for a foot in the door of deaf ministry in this area for a long time. I changed my prayer to “a foot in the door of deaf ministry” PERIOD. Then, you popped up. Coincidence? Not if I believe God’s word and trust his heart…no. You have my attention. What now? Any advice would be great. Thanks, and God bless you.
Sam, thanks for contacting me. I would certainly encourage you to talk with your pastor and see what your church can do to get a deaf ministry started on a local level.
If you need help with that I can highly recommend my friends at Silent Word Ministries and the Bill Rice Ranch. These both have programs to help your church start a deaf ministry.
Simple and Best.

Ve, David is among the best of the writers here and I can not compare to him. I also love Romans 12 but 1 Cor 13 is THE love chapter for sure.
Thank you, such a blessing and helpful. 🙂

I would just like to say, that I enjoyed reading this bible summary of 1 Corinthians 13- The love Chapter. Your breakdown is very simple and it will be very helpful as I will attempt to breakdown it as you have done on Wednesday.
Thanks.
You’ve really open my eyes to this topic of love I have learnt a lot tonight . Now I can be able to teach this to my choir because it very important for them to know thank once more may God bless you.
Good article…I have been preaching this for a while…We forget in this world that the Christian definition of love was so much more that the concept of love now days…To the early Christians, love and charity were one and the same and could not be separated! In todays world you can support every charitable act around but feel no love in doing it…people give for tax purposes, to fulfill, or change a public image, or because they want to look good, etc. None of those require feeling unconditional love for anyone!
Hello, David,
I volunteered/ was volunteered to teach a Sunday School lesson Febuary 17th. Since it was still close to Valentine’s Day I thought the “Love Chapeter” would be appropriate. I came across your article and I am using it as a basis for my lesson. Thank you so much for your perspectives. It will be a great help to me.
As. an aside, I am visually impaired and was a rehab teacher for the blind till I retired ten years ago. We worked with some deaf-blind studients some during my 28 years of teaching.
Anyway, thank you for sharing.
It a happy thing to come accross the teachings the lord bless
Am glad to come the lectures on love am really been blessed by the word.
Thank you for the words to base my Sunday meditation on today
I am a part of the jail ministry at Muscogee County jail i Columbus, Ga. I am looking forward tp sharing the bible study o 1 Corinthians tomorrow with the female inmates . God is doing some wonderful things in the jail ministry.
Why is it that this article talks about love if the word used throughout the passages is “charity?” Charity and love are two very different things. Once can do charity without love but one can’t love without charity.
Absolutely Roman
What led me here is a study I am doing on love and your article has proved to be just what I needed. 1 John has a lot to say on the subject and as a born again believer, I have to grow in my love for others. Thank you and God bless you
Stay Blessed !!
I just got back from my youth group and I’ve always wanted to have the time to go into depth with certain chapters homely one day the whole bible but I started looking over 1Corinthians 13 because I have always this constant yearning for love but recently I’ve been able to live a life I’m proud of and know that Gods love is all I need at the age of 17. I’m the type of person who takes notes on everything in great detail and I write out bible verses so I know them and can go more into depth and I’m so glad I found the interpretation of it because the concept of love is hard for a 17 year old to grasp so I’m glad I found this website, I will most definately refer to it in the future! Thanks for helping my walk with Jesus Chirst strengthen and sharing your knowledge with me.
Pastor David,I am worried about my neighbor soul, please help me understand how can a man who say he is ordained to marry people, marry someone without a marriage license,is this scripture I was reading Christ don’t like divorce,so in order to divorce you have to have a certificate in marriage, will you please shed some light on this please.shelia
I am a not the author of this but one of the writes. Let me say that the state might night recognize their marriage as legal without a legal document like the marriage certificate signed by all. If you read Romans 13, we are to obey all the laws of the nation and state. WHen Jesus mentions the certificate for divorce doesn’t mean He says they need one for marriage. That isn’t what Jesus was talking about. He was talking about divorce at that point. Does this help?
I was reading 1Corinthians 13 but had never understood it like today, thanks a lot pastor taking your time to publish this vital text, GOD BLESS YOU.
Awesome I was looking up how Christian deal with being in the love with so one and this help I thank god for someone like you to encourage people to pray and ask god to lead them and also to us the bible as a giude and a refence to understand also pray you have a bless life
Hi there,
Was looking for a Bible Study on love and found your page. Great encouragement. I’ve had had trouble or ear infections in my ears since I was 2 years old. It’s nice to see people doing things for those in the Deaf Community. Thank you for posting and I will drop by again.
