20 Inspirational Bible Verses About God’s Love

Bible verses that describe God’s love for us are some of my favorites. I hope you enjoy this list of inspirational quotes showing just how much God loves you.

Featured Bible Verse About God’s Love: Romans 8:37-39 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God’s Love Shown Through Jesus Christ

John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 5:8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God. who loved me and gave himself for me.

Ephesians 2:4-5 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, evenwhen we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved—

1 John 4:9-11 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

God Loves and Cares For Us

Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

1 John 4:7-8  Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.  Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

1 Peter 5:6-7  Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you,  casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

Job 34:19 who shows no partiality to princes, nor regards the rich more than the poor,  for they are all the work of his hands?

Psalm 86:15 But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

1 John 3:1 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

What God Says About Love

Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,

Proverbs 8:17 I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

John 13:34-35  A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.  By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Respond To God’s Love Through Thankfulness

Psalm 136:26 Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever.

Romans 5:2-5 Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Colossians 2:6-7  Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.

Hebrews 12:28-29 Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire.

I was in crises five months ago (financially, spiritually, emotionally, mentally almost everything) not until I accepted Jesus as my savior. I was touched by the song Still where it says “When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with You above the storm
Father you are King over the flood
I will be still, know You are God”

I learn to stay calm and lift everything to God. That time was when I’ve forgotten everything and thought that I can do everything all by myself.

But He’s so good, I felt that love He was telling us. I just can’t explain the huge change I’m experiencing now. I learn to value each individual in my surrounding as well as I learn my value to Jesus. And I say yes I am special in His eyes. He loves us so much that He died on the cross for us.

I pray that you’ll know Him more, just lift it all up to Him. Just communicate with Him as often as possible and most of all Obey and keep faith in Him. :)

1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

Jeremiah 9:23-24

I feel in love with a woman who is so good to everyone and so strong about it, I can’t help but love her. Yet, she doesn’t know the love of our Lord and Savior. I’m praying to be strong in my support of her, and I grow more and more conflicted and tired in my endeavors every day. In my acceptance of Jesus, I discovered it’s a lot like grief in a sense that you mourn the loss of your old ways. It keeps me up at nights. None of you know me, but please pray for me if it bears on your conscience.

Jack Wellman March 1, 2013 at 11:08 am

Hello “The Analytic.” I will be honored and consider it a privileged to pray for you. We can pray for this woman to come to saving faith in Christ for God can change the human heart and He alone can do this (Prov 21:1, Psalm 19:7) so let’s you and I pray for that for we can’t be unequally yoked with non-believers so let’s pray for her to put her trust in Christ, to repent, confess, and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for there is no other way (Acts 4:12).

Thank you Lucas for your question. When you were born again (if in fact you are saved…are you?), we go in with teh understanding that “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God” (Acts 14:22). Paul says, “Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses” (2 Cor 6:4).

We actually must “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.  Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matt 7:13-14). Jesus said it would not be a happy experience or easy but difficult and narrow.

The Bible nowhere promises us happiness in this life, but neither does the Bible say that life is fair. If life were fair, then we would all be headed to hell and Jesus would not have had to die. Jesus’ death on the cross was not fair for He was innocent. God placed His wrath on Jesus Who deserved no such punishment and the punishment that we truly deserved was withheld because of what Jesus did for us. He did this for those of us who didn’t deserve anything but eternal separation from God.

Look at what happened to Jesus who didn’t deserve what He got. And Job lost everything…even though he too was not being punished by God. Seek first the Kingdom and then all things will be added to you (Matt 6:33). Put Christ first in all things and don’t stop praying. Most people stop praying I believe just before God is ready to answer them. He never promised prosperity but eternal life. Our rewards and not for this world but the next.

Matthew 19
16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Thank you Mr. Nawade for your question Let me say that I have not read the verse that “if you sleep with a woman then she becomes your wife.” I do not believe that is in the Bible and it is not true. As for masturbation, anything that makes us lust in our heart is making us commit fornication and so we need to overcome this by putting good things in our mind. Pray and read the Bible the next time you have the desire to do this. Please know that this is not a sin that can not be forgiven and sleeping with a woman is sin if she is not your wife but it doesn’t mean you are commanded to marry her. I hope this helps Mr. Nawade.

I was blooming after surrendering to God after a life of big sin. I decided to dabble in stock market and it hurt big time. I had figure out I had no luck in that arena. I finally came to the conclusion I was trying to love money. Maybe.it wouldnt of been good for me spiritually. I’ve been super happy and broke. We have to love ourselves through our trial. U don’t have because u don’t ask. It’s harder being poor with a family. Contentment with little is gain. Be content with food and shelter. God bless.

Ntombik, that is why Christians are called “prayer warriors” because when we enter into prayer, we are entering into a spiritual battle with the powers of darkness. We have an article that addresses how to pray called “How Should I Pray?” at:

I hope it helps you my friend.
