Well said Pastor Jack!

Many claim Jesus was hoodwinked and never wanted to die. The Scripture is very clear that Jesus Himself said, “No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again. For this is what my Father has commanded”(Jn 10:18). You are spot on, He came to do the will of the Father….to die for us. Blessed be His Name!!

THanks brother. You are so encouraging.

What you speak of is divine child abuse. God became man in the person of Jesus- that’s the sacrifice. He was an innocent man who was killed by evil people. We are saved through the resurrection, not the cross. The atonement is put forth by Paul. A loving god would not want his son to die a torturous death merely for his own satisfaction.

Hello Rick. THank you for your comment sir. It is not divine child abuse but Jesus willingly gave His life for us…we were the ones who killed Jesus, not just the ones at the cross…we too made it necesarry for Jesus to die for us to ransom us (Mark 10:45). A loving God did allow His Son to die a torturous death and that IS love. God loved us so much that He gave His only Son for us. Isaiah 53 shows it WAS the will of the Father. Read that chapter and you might find where you are in great error sir.
