So am I correct to understand from this very short article that you believe that the modern day church no longer has the gifts of the spirit (such as tongues and interpretation of tongues and prophesy) available to them and should allow them in church services or am I misinterpreting you?

Thank you Greg. No, I never said or wrote that the gifts are no longer for the church. I do believe you are misinterpreting me. As for tongues, the actual word is “language” and not tongues, as in unknown tongues. In fact, the phrase “unknown” tongues is not in the Bible. It was inserted, incorrectly, in the King James. So regarding tongues, please read this: https://www.whatchristianswanttoknow.com/what-is-speaking-in-tongues-a-biblical-analysis/ We should not focus on the gifts but on the fruits. Jesus said we will know them by their fruits, not by their gifts…people will know we are His disciples by our love (John 13:34-35), not by their gifts. Why so many focus on the gifts and not the Giftgiver, God, is beyond me.
