Beautiful work my brother. I give thanks to you in prayer to God and I love the Scripture that God inhabits the prayers of His saints. Well done as always.

Derek Hill February 24, 2013 at 1:50 pm

Thank you Jack. I know from my own experience that when I am in prayer and communion with God, He is there too and He does answer prayer. Just this past week God answered a prayer of mine and blessed me more than I could have imagined! I thank God for you too brother and I pray for you also. God bless!

Derek Hill February 24, 2013 at 1:55 pm

Thank you for your kind words A.J. I am thankful for you and all of the readers of this site. As brothers and sisters in Christ, we can encourage each other as we walk through this short life into heaven. God bless you!

Jack Wellman February 24, 2013 at 2:33 pm

Thank you Derek. I remember in the Garden the Son of God prayed three times to have this cup removed and if the Father declined to answer Jesus’ prayer in this, I must not be discourage when He answers no to me for it is always in my best interest. God answers EVERY prayer: Sometimes it is yes, sometimes it is no, sometimes it is not yet!

Derek Hill February 25, 2013 at 2:08 pm

Hello Isaac. I can definitely pray for you, that you may find understanding and wisdom through the trials you are in right now. As Christians we are not promised an easy life and many times we must go through trials to become stronger in our faith and in the Lord. So whatever you are facing right now, make sure to ask God, “Father, what do you want me to learn from this?” God bless you and my prayers are on the way!

Kenneth April 21, 2013 at 3:11 pm

Blessed article Derek. The power of prayer is so great! I’ve been praying everyday (except for being in a coma for a month) for 5 years now. 2 years of that i wasn’t a reborn Christian yet. 3 years ago God answered me something that i always asked in prayer to be with me where i go during the day & bring me safe back home. By His grace & mercy i survived a train accident & is healthy as can be. My mom, some of my family & other people also prayed while i was in a coma. In the name of Jesus God answered them. My day start with prayer. I don’t believe in starting without it. I pray for my family, my friends, my neighbours, the goverment, the whole world, the homeless, the convicts, the hunger starvation countries & those that get struck by natural disasters aswell as for myself & whatever the Holy Spirit is giving me to communicate with God. Peace be with you brother in Christ. God bless.

Kenneth, that was a really inspiring comment! Thank you for it! I love the list of things that you pray about and they are all soooo important! I’m so glad to hear that God brought you through the train accident and coma safely. Our God is an AWESOME God! God bless you and your loved ones!

Wonderful words on prayer Mr Derek; your article of encouragement to prayer has really enhanced my trust and devotion to God and in the process inspired and made me more strong in faith. Now being more enlightened, i stand more firm in the light of God goodness and glory. May the Lord forever strenghten you and bestow His grace continually upon you. Amen

Genesis June 30, 2014 at 4:15 pm

there is this guy i knew at my sisters wedding and i like him,and he likes me, he says that i remind him if his friend and that i have a great smile but i think he is an unbeliever and every time i would try and stop thinking about him i would still think about him. Is it a sin to be thinking about an unbeliever like this? and i know that i shouldn’t be with him but it is so hard. i have tried to stop thinking about him all day but i keep falling into that sin and when i would confess, i would fell no conviction but i know that i shouldn’t be thinking like this and i wonder why i am not being convicted and then i focus on the sin i have so that i can properly receive gods forgiveness, meaning not doubting. I want to fell sorry for what i have done so that i can sincerely ask god for forgiveness. Please help me.

Jack Wellman June 30, 2014 at 6:12 pm

Hello Genesis. It is good to hear from you again. It is easy to let our feelings push out the convicting work of the Holy Spirit. I cannot help you but you must pray for God’s help. I can give you support by praying for you but you must try as best you can to stop thinking about him and reading the Bible will help and perhaps this article that deals specifically about it at: http://www.whatchristianswanttoknow.com/unequally-yoked-meaning-scriptures-and-lesson/ and I pray that gives you the Bible verses that will help for there is real power in the Word of God. I would also suggest you speak with your pastor about this.

Pamela Rose Williams October 31, 2016 at 8:30 am

Hello Karen, Thank you for your question. My brother Jack wrote the following article that I think addresses your question well. I hope it is helpful: http://www.whatchristianswanttoknow.com/what-does-the-bible-teach-about-giving-is-tithing-biblical/

Thank you all for your encouragement…Thank you God for loving us

Genny November 24, 2017 at 11:26 am

As I begin my study on prayer I was led her first. I want to thank you for pointing out that if we do not pray for our enemies it is a sin. I never realized this until I pondered, and reread the scripture. Powerful! What a blessing this has been for me.

Samuel December 27, 2017 at 6:17 pm

Thank God I found a site like this. I need help.
Is it right for me to be thinking about marriage at the age of 20?
I have feelings for a girl I think of marrying her I don’t lust after her but it sometimes happens but that’s not much what I think about when I think of her, I don’t even know what I think of most of the time I think about her.
She is an unbeliever I would not tell her about marriage I would make sure she becomes a child of God these are some of my thoughts
And I want to know if its Gods will. I need help in my life.

Jack Wellman December 27, 2017 at 6:51 pm

Hello Sameul. You obviously already know God doesn’t want us to marry unbelievers, so you show good wisdom in that. Pray for her salvation and I will too. Please check out this article about how to know if its true love: https://www.whatchristianswanttoknow.com/true-love-how-do-you-know-when-you-find-it/
