Sterling work again Derek. I believe you had hit the nail on the head that we are to take care of those who are poor. Some say that there are so many who are poor that they can’t do anything and so they won’t do anything. That’s too bad. We can help at least those we know. I beleive that the Salvation Army is one of the best organizations where the most money goes to the poor and those in need, as opposed to the Red Cross which is administratively top-heavy. Well done brother.
Thank you Jack. There are so many poor people out there that need help. I agree, the Salvation Army is a wonderful organization. I understand, sort of, what it is like to be poor. 4 1/2 years ago my son had very extensive treatments for an injury and was in the ICU for 6 days. Needless to say, the hospital bill was outrageous and we couldn’t afford to buy our children Christmas presents that year. A dear neighbor of ours found out and gave us money to buy the kids presents. I understand how it feels to feel helpless and then to be blessed. I will never forget that act of kindness and I believe that all poor people feel that way when they are helped. Blessings on you brother.
My heart was heavy tonight. This article sure did help. God bless you!
I’m so glad God spoke to you through this article, Megann. “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved.” (Psalm 55:22) God bless you too!
Your messages are a healing to many hearts who have lost hope. As a pastor in a remote impoverished community in called kamiigo in Uganda East Africa, reading all this diversifies my knowledge of what our good God speaks about hope in his word. I wish we could have you here speak to God’s people here. It would a a big blessing.
Thank you for the ministry.
pr. Peter.
