Let’s Not Forget September 11th…9/11

Those who lived and died to save others will remain in our hearts forever.

The Fallen Heroes

Military service members salute while fire and rescue workers unfurl a massive American flag over the side of the Pentagon on Sept. 12, 2001, as rescue and recovery operations continued following the 9/11 terrorist attack.

Jesus Himself said, “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). No one ever suffered like Jesus and no one ever suffered for someone who was ungodly, and their wicked enemies (Rom 5:6-10).

Laying down our lives for others doesn’t necessarily mean dying a death for them, but more about laying down our own time, interests and desires to help others in their need. God has laid out good works for us to do, but will we walk in them (Eph 2:10). How will people know we’re laying down our lives for others? The Apostle John say, it is “By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers” (1 John 3:16). Remember, God loved us first (1 John 4:19).

Those who lived to serve, and died to save…
We remember what they gave.

We’ve seen responders who lived to save, and set others free…
Much like He from heaven above, who died on Calvary.

True sorrow can’t erase their deeds, yet risk did not them bother…
Like greater love has no man than this, than to give his life for another

On this day, September 11, let us please do remember…
That on that dark, dark day, were heroes born, on that fateful day in September.

First responders put their lives on the line every day so that we might live.  They deserve our recongnition and respect.  And especially those who lived and died to save others should remain in our hearts forever for their supreme sacrifice, but our Lord had a greater love than all (John 3:16).  Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ said, “the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). Jesus says, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep” (John 10:11).

Conclusion

I pray you have put your trust in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. If that has not happened yet, my friend, you are in real danger of hell fire. And I mean, in immediate danger. You’re one breath, one heartbeat…one accident away from eternity when it will be too late to repent. Today is the best day to believe (2 Cor 6:2) since tomorrow is no guarantee. If Jesus Christ came today, here is your fate (Matt 7:21-23). This is why I plead with you as you read this, repent today…and I mean right now. Put your trust in Jesus Christ. If you do not, you will face God’s judgment after death guaranteed (Heb 9:27) or at Jesus Christ’s appearance (Rev 20:12-15), which could happen at any moment.
