Hello Pastor Jack,
Based on John 15:14-15 (I read and reread it in several translations including Young’s Literal Translation), rather than servants or slaves, I believe that we as believers in Christ are now His friends. I consider you a friend and greatly respect your teaching, so if you feel I’m off-base on this, please let me know.

Dear Author
Muslims and Jews believe they are the slaves of God. But in Christianity we are the adopted sons to the gods family, that is father, son and holy spirit.
A triunion god only can adopt. For adoption a family is needed. If god itsself is one , he can’t adopt. When we become adopted sons or daughters , we can call God as our father.
So we are not slaves but the friends of jesus and the adopted sons and daughters of the tri union family. Love of the god help us tell we are the bond servants of Jesus.

God bless you all..

Hello Mr. George. What Muslims and Jews believe makes no difference. The translation of most of the words “servant” is slaves in the original langauge and so we must believe what God says and not what we think. We were bought with a price…by the precious blood of the Lamb of God. That’s what the Word says, but we can agree to disagree.

Paul present himself, Romans 1:1, not like a son of God not like a friend of God but like a slave. We are sons? Yes. We are Friends? If we live like Slaves. Phillipians 2:5 declares that Jesús, the Only Begotten Son of God became a slave and we have to take the same attttude and stance that The Lord exemplifies for us.
God bless you pastor, good teaching.
