Dear Robert
Thank you for your synopsis of the book. It looks like it is also a great wake up call for those of us who lapse back into bad habits sometimes, like a passion or drive for success and acknowledgement through these things as well as career.
I go though phases of neglecting my bible reading, because i am too busy working, so this was a stark reminder of the finite nature of this life and the importance of focusing on God, who is forever.

Yours sincerely
Nikita

what bible version do you use in gods at war? Thanks

Jack Wellman June 28, 2019 at 1:13 pm

We use the ESV which is among the best translations there are and the word that James uses as “God is opposed to the proud” has the word “opposed” which in the Greek means “to range in battle with” or “to be at war with.”
