What a blessing this is…and what a blessing you must be. To have such a godly woman of faith and biblical wisdom to stand next to your husband and to love and care for your children, your household must indeed be blessed above many others. I would like to extend a warm welcome to you as a writer of this site. I look forward to reading more from you, although I will depart this Friday and be gone until June 20th for seminary. Well done and again, welcome.

PS, say, I just realized that I know you. I am the writer from Yahoo’s Associated Content and Facebook friend. I just read your Bio unto its completion and realized that I have conversed with you. What a blessing indeed! Selah! 🙂

Hi there I noticed the Colossians verse located under “Who Are You Serving and What’s Your Attitude?” is a little off. The verse addressed is Colossians 3:23-24, not just 3:24.
Grace & Peace

Joanne August 27, 2013 at 11:14 pm

I find myself troubled. Almost 50 years ago, my husband & I decided in the service of God to take as our own, an abandoned baby girl who had cerebral palsy. Is has been quite a trip and surely not yet over. But my husband & I are getting “old” and I frankly am finding myself very concerned about her welfare once we are gone from this earth. Today, no answers in sight, I have prayed so much for relief, but none in sight. What do you think?

Jack Wellman August 28, 2013 at 8:05 am

Thank you Joanne for your question. Have you spoken with your pastor about this? Pray that God will provide others to come along side of you both to relieve you and that He provides some help in the form of counsel about that which you both should do. I would say prayer is not the least you can do but the very most you can do. Our God is a mighty God and He can do all things and let’s pray together about your adopted girl finding help as you both age.

Ginger October 18, 2013 at 10:30 am

I agree

Ginger October 22, 2013 at 7:24 am

Could you put how Children could serve God. I have to do a report on this and i can’t find any passages on this subject 😉

Jack Wellman October 22, 2013 at 8:00 am

I am not the author of this article but I do not believe that there are any Scriptures that I know of about how children could serve God except for their being in subjection to their parents in Ephesians 6:1 “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.” When children obey their parents that IS serving the Lord by obeying Him. Thank you Ginger for a great question.

Thank you for sharing these. Here is another one of my favorites, “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace” (1 Peter 4:10).
