Thank you for your wisdom in regards to Gods animals. I believe there are a lot of Christians Pastors who do not teach this part of Gods word correctly. In fact, they skip over this topic all together or teach that animals are insignificant and only humans matter. This has been something heavy on my heart since I was very young. I believe a lot of people will have a rude awakening when they find out that God cares about his creation. In fact, we are responsible for their welfare, just like we are responsible for the welfare of our children. This is a great test of character, and I believe many Christians fail here. Thank you again for preaching Gods word.
Thank you for expressing this so well!❤️
animals ARE Gods creation the same as you or I they have a soul and are the innocent victims of mankind! you’re wrong
Yes, animals are God’s creation but so no, we are not the same. Animal’s spirit returns to the ground at death and ours return to the Creator (Eccl 3:21). Does this mean that insects, viruses, sharks, and other predators have souls too? Will these be resurrected by God. Shelly, your reasons are not found in Scripture, and we must stick to what God’s Word says, not what we think…so it appears that you are wrong, or the Bible is. We obviously know which is right.
You changed the word ass in Luke 14:5 to son? That is demonic. You know the scriptures say that man is a potential Son of God – no where in the Bible are animals give this awesome potential. Animals do not posses the Spirit of God. They will not be resurrected. Man has dominion over all animals. Men are supposed to care and love animals – but never are more important. How much more does God care for man?
Hello Jennifer. Wow. You are very harsh here. This is not about the Son of God but Luke 14:5 says “And he said to them, “Which of you, having a son[a] or an ox that has fallen into a well on a Sabbath day, will not immediately pull him out?” [a] Some manuscripts say, “a donkey.” There is no mention at all about animals having the Spirit of God. Where are you reading this heresy? It’s not in this article. Please be careful about making false accusations when you comment as you are wrong on all accounts here and should apologize to the author as you are completely in the wrong. Please re-read this carefully. You must not have read it thoroughly at all.
Well, I believe that animals survive the grave. Especially the animals that have been loved by us. I believe there will be animals in heaven. You see, they too are a part of God’s creation. If when we think of heaven and imagine greenery, sunshine etc. We must also realize that God wouldn’t only keep animals out heaven. I can’t imagine heaven without them.
God bless you.
Hello AB. The Bible does not say whether animals will be in heaven, specificallly our pets, but as for animals surviving the grave, there is no biblical evidence to point to the fact that animals or pets will be in heaven. We just don’t know. I hope so, but I don’t know so.
At the very least, we know horses will be in heaven because Jesus and the saints who follow him return on white horses. (Revelation 19: 11-14) Isaiah 11: 6-9 when describing the new earth mentions Wolves, sheep, leopards, goats , lions, cows, bears, oxen and serpents.
Ecclesiastes 3:19
For what happens to the children of man and what happens to the beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and man has no advantage over the beasts, for all is vanity. In Revelations does Jesus come back on a horse? You people who preach that animals have no souls are wrong..Animals are more loving then a human ever thought about being.
Hello Beth. The Bible does not say pets go to heaven. The verse you quoted actually supports that for one spirit (mankind’s spirit) goes back to where it came from (God) and the other to the earth, so you cannot prove by Scripture that animals go to heaven. The horse Jesus rides, if you read all of this chapter in context, is not about pets or animals but about Jesus’ return with authority and power. The Bible does not say animals have souls, so instead of chastizing the preacher, read your Bible. You are too judgmental.
There’s animals in heaven Isaiah 65 or 6 the wolf and the lamb we’ll eat together.
The Bible doesn’t say our animals will be in heaven , but it doesn’t exclude them either.
We just don’t know.
w
Why couldn’t we have our animals in heaven ?
It doesn’t cost God anything..
The Bible doesn’t say animals have souls but the Bible doesn’t say people have souls either.
The Bible says that man became a living Soul Genesis 2:7
the word soul is mentioned in the bible 1700 times never does it say that we have souls. We are souls
I believe that my fur babies will be in heaven. God gave us these animals to care for. Animals are loving just as people are. They sense our moods and express their love to us. Because God created these animals with feelings why would they not be in heaven? No one can convince me otherwise.
Wow Jack, does it bother you that Beth is right? What a straw man response. She didn’t even claim that animals go to heaven. If you read your Bible, you would know it doesn’t even say we will go to heaven either. The pearly gates are the 12 gates of the New Jerusalem, named after each tribe of Israel. Our promise is resurrection and eternal life on the New Earth through the salvation of Christ. A soul is the breath and life of the Creator, and animals have them too. You’ll never understand the back of the Bible until you understand the front of it.
I actually hope Beth is right, but the Bible does not say that specifically. You have not proved your point from Scripture, but thank you for your comment anway. By the way, heaven is any place that Jesus is. He is there…to me, heaven is not so much a place as it is a Person, and heaven comes down in the form of the New Jerusalem. That might interest you Pete…it’s in the back of the Bible too. Read up on this.
Job 12:10 reads: In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind (KJV).
I have read that verse, thank you and thank you for your comment. That verse does not say that every living thing can recieve eternal life though. The black plague is a living thing, but that won’t be in the kingdom. Antrhax too is a living thing, but notice that tHe word “soul” is from the Hebrew word “nephish” which means creature or living being, so I do hope our pets will be in the kingdom, but unless I am convinced from Scripture, we will have to wait and see.
Hi.
Yes. Very harsh.
A righteous person loves all Gods creation. We have dominion in order to care for the earth and to care for the animals etc.
We are caretakers of the earth. When God created the animals, He said, “It is good”
Whether animals have a spirit or not is none of our business. We are not the Creator. We are, like the animals and birds etc, the Created ones.
God Bless. And peace be unto you.
Treating animals and Gods creation badly, is a sin and man Will be judged for this.
Beware of euthanasia prescribed by people. Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not shed innocent blood. Euthanasia is a sin and it is murder.
Only God can give life and take life. That is His Domain, not ours.
Grace to you all.
Thank you Deon. Very well put sir.
You are quite wrong Jennifer, use a lexicon, look at the original language and you’ll find in Luke 14:5 it uses the Greek word for son huios. Calling a brother demonic! check out your facts first!!
Wow, I wanted to find a beautiful passage for my daughter who loves and protects animals. Instead I find this thread, which feels aggressive and pointless.
Christians stating their findings in a respectful and suitable way, then being heckled and abused by other Christians about the points of the Bible. I just feel tired and disheartened now. Isnt there enough going on in the world already? Without adding to the division within our own Faith?
Hello Mollie. You make a very good point. John 13:34-35 comes to mind. Thank you.
You’re welcome Jack:)
Have a lovely and Blessed Christmas
And to you too my friend. Thank you Mollie.
I was so lucky to have grown up with such kind, caring parents. My father spent five years of his life in the RAF fighting for his country. Became a proper window cleaner as he wanted to be his own boss. He would often bring seagulls covered in oil and bathe them & return them to the beach. we had stray kittens and dogs needing a home. Animals so loyal, I know God loves them all.
Thank you for these loving words.
We just lost our fur-ever boy. He was very special in helping us to make the right decision to help him go home with so much love. Reading these words is helping me cope better. As long as I’m reading and praying I’m at peace with our loss. We feel resolved that we did right by our boy and God’s leadership to grieve with His hand alone us. Thank you!
Jack,
Wow, are we righteous over much?
To Jennifer you wrote: “you are wrong on all accounts here and should apologize to the author as you are completely in the wrong.”
You wrote to Beth “…so instead of chastising the preacher, read your Bible. You are too judgmental.”
Then when Steve defended her point you smugly responded with your OPINION & a little quip: ” heaven is not so much a place as it is a Person…That might interest you Pete…it’s in the back of the Bible too. Read up on this.”
First of all, heaven is a place no a person. It the spirit realm where God, his son & the angels reside. It was the place from which Satan & 1/3 of the angels were hurled to the earth (Rev. 12-7-9) It is also where Jesus sat down at the right hand of his father. (Heb. 12:2)
We are not to teach opinion but convince by reasoning on the scriptures. Granted, while it is no pleasure in being told a teaching is demonic, we must not respond in kind. (Rom. 12:17)
Hi to all that have posted here may you be blessed and have a wonderful Christmas. The bible is the greatest tool the wise ones have given us and to read and assume one thing that is not spoken should be guarded. I lost my Yellow Lab on Oct 5th of this year, he spent all of his life with me since he was six weeks old. He made every step I made and never once did he abandon me, his loyalty never failed me in any way. Our love of one another could never be broken and was never tested, it just didn’t need to be. The bible doesn’t say that I will ever see him again but I have to think in my heart I will. It will be just one more blessing the Lord will give me!!
I just want to know if God heals all pets, my dog may be dying, it is helpful to know wether God heals each pet as he heal us.
Hello Katy. I am sorry for your pets illness, but the Bible does not promise healing for animals.
You use one scripture to create a whole theology that that animals return to the ground. And it was a question not an answer. He answers the question in Chapter 12, Go read it. There are other scriptures in the Bible that describe how all creatures will be ressurected in the last day. My God is merciful. It was man who was dissobediant to God. Not animals.
Hello Mr. Roberts. Please show me Scriptures where it says our pets will be in heaven. Not one is found. You have no theology except an “me-ology” with no evidence to support it. Sorry, but you are totally wrong.
