I find the link below as an apt description of Jesus Christ.
His white wooly hair, His eyes like fire and his face, arms and legs like burnished bronze.
Would you care to respond or send me a comment? Much Appreciated.

Jack Wellman August 13, 2017 at 8:05 am

Hello Jojo. The image was removed because it is not of a Jewish man, as we know Jesus was of the Tribe of Judah and was not black, white or yellow, but as all Jews are….olive skin, dark (short) hair and so on.

Elizabeth June 26, 2020 at 11:21 am

Jojo, The description of his hair was white like wool, white like snow. The white like wool did NOT MAKE IT wooly in texture, but color, white like snow did NOT make it COLD or FLAKY right Jojo. Stop saying Wooly, as Black people think that makes Jesus Black – no he was not!! His eyes were the COLOR of fire flames, to me that means AMBER – like my eyes Jojo, not dark at all.

Jack Wellman June 26, 2020 at 12:14 pm

It is not JoJo that is saying His hair was wooly in texture, but the Bible actually says in “Revelation 1:14-15 that Jesus’s skin was a darker hue and that his hair was woolly in texture. The hairs of his head, it says, “were white as white wool, white as snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, his feet were like burnished bronze, refined as in a furnace.” Your critical spirit in your comment, made earlier, and to JoJoh (who said nothing wrong) shows you are criticizing others, and unfairly at that.

Jesus is Black just like all The Hebrews are. Job ch. 30 v.30 Song of Solomon ch.1 v5. Jeremiah ch. 14 v. 2. You are a Liar and the truth is not in you Esau.

Hello friend, but you are badly mistaken. I am sorry you are using such hateful langauge, so I would check your heart and repent to see if indeed you are a believer (as it doesn’t sound like it (l read 1 John 3). Repent of this. Anyway, it’s not about race…its all about grace. Jesus was not white or black or yellow, but history proves He was olive-skin colored as all Jews were of the Tribe of Judah from which He came. Know your history better and you will see the error of your way. Your Bible verses were way, way out of context sir or ma’am.

What color are olives?

Jack Wellman June 8, 2019 at 9:35 am

Some olives are black…some are green… but olive skin is understood to be one of the human skin color spectrums. It is often associated with pigmentation in the Type III to Type IV and Type V ranges of the Fitzpatrick scale. It generally refers to light or moderate brown, brownish, or tannish skin, and it is often described as having yellowish, greenish, or golden undertones. Do you Jesus is Jewish and looks like Jews today?

Such hate that comes when the name of Jesus is spoken about. Seriously do people really worry that much about how much melanin is in one’s skin..no word of praise to you Jack for your efforts on this page..dear, dear, dear.
It’s so damaging and disappointing to see such hatred for unanswered statements.
I’m sure the father is really worried about what people think his ONLY begotten beautiful Son looks like (sarcasm noted) Than actually demonstrating the only act pure unconditional love..obedient sacrifice to save our souls to be with our Heavenly father for ETERNITY. I believe you might want to get out more prince. With respect to your page, Jack l thoroughly enjoyed this thanks..
Blessing to you both..
Lee xx

THank you my friend.

Hez August 23, 2019 at 5:33 pm

Where in the Bible does it say Jesus was olive colored?

Jack Wellman August 24, 2019 at 10:18 am

Hello Hez. Jesus was not white or black but Jewish…of the Tribe of Judah, and their skin color is like that, so what color do you think Jesus was, and should it even matter, which is my question to you: Why does skin color matter at all!?

Elizabeth June 26, 2020 at 11:30 am

I am curious about your description saying Jesus was not white or black, but Jewish – aren’t Jews considered White/caucasian? Some Jews are white complected and some are more olive tones. I am white in Winter and Olive in Summer – so I call myself White at times and Caucasian on other occasions. BTW I am not Jewish unless you consider my 2% Ashkenazi Jew from Ancestry.Com – haha

Teresa montgomery August 14, 2019 at 11:46 am

The Lord just told me that Jesus was neither black or white, but brown. He was Jewish.

Jack Wellman August 14, 2019 at 12:18 pm

It is true. The Lord has told us, but we are told in Scripture, and since He was of the Tribe of Judah, in the lineage of King David, he had olive colored or brown skin, as you say. we don’t need to have “The Lord just told me” when we have Scripture already telling us that, but I do appreciate your comment. You are right. He was not black or white. There is zero evidence for that. Thank you Teresa.

Andrew November 17, 2019 at 3:22 pm

Jesus never existed and if he did he would be black according to the bible. stop talking about the jews was olive you are trying to say he look like everything else except what the bible said he look like jesus had to hide among the Egyptians. What color is the Egyptians that jesus could hide among them and that would tell u what jesus color is but like I said he does not exist

Jack Wellman November 17, 2019 at 4:14 pm

You are so wrong Andrew. Are you black so this is why you think Jesus was black? He was a Jew and from the tribe of Judah and like all Jews, had olive colored or brown skin, so you need to go back and study this to see your great error Just bcause He hid in Egypt for a very, very short time, doesn’t mean he will take on the came color as those in Africa. Please repent of your racism sir and humble yourself and stop draging color into the argument. God looks at the heart and not at the skin color like you do. Repent of this. Your Jesus does not exist. He is a figment of your immagination.

Alifuru June 19, 2020 at 1:54 pm

John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Jesus can be any color he chooses to be. He is the word and the word of god made everything, therefore Jesus could appear to anybody in any form of skin color.

To be exact Jesus is the word that came from the father and the father is spirit. If you know the real Yeshua, then you know that he does not see color and he is not of flesh but of the holy spirit that can take any form. Hence he is the light of the world.

Have a blessed day all.

Jack Wellman June 19, 2020 at 2:11 pm

Thank you ALifuru. Jesus can be any color, but as a Man and God, He was born of Jewish stock and the Son of David, so He looked like modern day Israelites. That much we know. He was not black, red, white, or yellow, but looked like a Jew because He was one. Amen that Jesus does not see skin color or race. There is only one race…the human race. All of us were descendant from one man, Adam (Acts 17).

Jack Wellman June 26, 2020 at 12:11 pm

Jesus is Jewish. This we know from Scripture and from history, but just because a caucasian has a darker colored skin, due to tanning or environment, does not make him a Jew. I do not like referring to skin color to identify a person, but only in comparison or contrast to other skin colors, but we do He was a Jewish man living in Galilee in the first century, says Robert Cargill, assistant professor of classics and religious studies at the University of Iowa and editor of Biblical Archaeology Review. “So he would have looked like a Palestinian Jewish man of the first century. He would have looked like a Jewish Galilean.” And He did not look like what you see as Americans or white/caucasian’s. Don’t you except the bibical fact that Jesus was a Jew?

PS, the website you used to check your heritage is flaught with errors. You might want to see their margin of error. It is high to say the least.
