Hi, Pastor! Again, an interesting article. 🙂 As a matter of fact, there are even denialists who say we are influenced by our environment and have no responsibility for our actions as a result. Have you ever heard that ridiculous notion before? And concerning the Second Coming, I can only imagine Jesus’s face when he comes to claim the world and sees how much harm men & women have caused by too much ignorance and pointless rebellion. Maybe we’ll get a real-life version of the “Holy Facepalm” meme?
Yours truly,
Jack Haywood from Britain (or what’s left of it if the Scots decide they want independence)

PS: A few people are so frustrated with the condition of America, some are even considering having England rule over it once again, like the old days. However, I doubt that will ever happen as you guys tend to spend a lot of dollars on powering up your military 😛

That would be like on Judgment Day standing before God someone who has never repented and trusted in Christ saying to God “What and let me go get my mother…she beat me as a child.” No, we shall all give an account and we cannot excuse our rejection of Christ. That is passing the buck and not accepting responsibility for our actions and that doesn’t fly even in the elementary schools. Thanks Jack. Always good to hear from you friend.

Oh yeah, I forgot, the old British government treated you badly… my mistake. 🙁 And no, I wasn’t excusing the rejection of Christ. I think you interpreted my comment wrongly. Maybe I went off topic a little and it confused you? However, I understand that you clearly hate the idea of a British America, and sorry for causing any offense. But please consider that we are no longer the old bitter abusive matriarch that we used to be.

You caused no offense friend. You never do. You are and always are fine my good friend. I must have responded in an unclear way because I didn’t take you as excusing the rejection of Christ. I believe I must have been at fault for the unclear way that I responded. I know you by now my good friend across the big pond. You never offend and it is always a joy to hear from you.

Thanks. I kinda like how you’re always willing to let every mistake go 😀 You usually don’t get forgiveness like that on YouTube… sometimes just one word there can barely manage to net you some mild controversy, and even hate. I once expressed a disapproving opinion about a certain video I was watching, and got told to **** off. Where’s the caring? Luckily, that’s still around too, but it’s slowly dwindling…

Unfortunately society has started to look favorably or turn a blind eye to these sins. Adultery is now a given in our ‘open sex’ society these days. But just because society accepts something doesn’t mean it’s not wrong in God’s eyes.

Amen…just like abortion is legal doesn’t make it morally right (which of course it isn’t). Great point Mr. Reese. Thank you sir.

Great article Pastor Jack,

Yet when asked, the overwhelming majority of people will say, ” I am a good person”. Unfortunately there is no such thing in God’s eyes before salvation. We only have one shot of being seen as “good” in God’s Eyes, and that, as you have well explained, is by having the proper wedding garment on when we appear before God:

“But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who had no wedding garment. 12 And he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. 13 Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Bind him hand and foot and cast him into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ 14 For many are called, but few are chosen.”(Mt 22:11-14).

Christ is our Wedding Garment.

Doc, you know what, Ii hear this so much when I share the bad news of the wrath of God which makes the good news of His mercy relevant to sinners. If not for His becoming sin for us not one of us could stand. Love the Matthew 22 verse which are ties in so well with what you wrote. I found that over 90% of people I meet believe that they are good people but good is not good enough. Thanks for your encouragement friend.

Thanks brother. I agree…I can look to you and many of the other readers on this website and that’s where the caring is my brother. I truly thank God for you and many others who are full of grace and kindness. Look forward to meeting you in the Kingdom where “two Jack’s beats a full house!” LOL
