Actually, my career IS helping people, (i’m with a program called arc of the ozarks, where I help people with autism diagnoses become a helpful member of the community), and I’ve often found that going on walks is a part of the daily schedule, so i’ve started associating them with work as well. A day of rest or a hike would be fantastic, but insomnia is a very close relative of mine. The talking is an essential thing to do in my opinion though. I’ve personally found that if i can muster up the energy, doing activities that help relieve anger (mostly the punching bag my roommate has) work very well for me. Music does wonders as well, no matter what the situation or mood.

Great article by the way. It’s always nice for people to have a reminder that it is okay to cry, and offering options.

I have enjoyed and been moved by all the articles I have received . Talking is the thing that seems to help me the most. It’s finding that person that you can trust. Most of the time I sit and talk to Jesus like He was here in person with me. That seems to work the best.

Very good article. Thank you. I suffer with depression from time to time. Yes it can be caused by sin and in that case repentance is in order. Confess your sin, turn from it and God will restore you. Many times we need to confess to someone we trust. Ja. 5:16. Mine is a metabolic imbalance and God has blessed me with a good doctor.

What ever is the cause seek help but keep Christ at the center of all you do.
