Very nice article Greg. How often do we forget that the root of all sin is found in these three: lust of the fresh, lust of the eyes and pride. I love the featured Obadiah 1:3-4 — one we often overlook. Well done and welcome aboard WCWTK, I look forward to your future articles.

Greg that is a really great article! The verse from Obadiah is awesome! God is a jealous God and pride has no place in His kingdom. Good job!

The type of pride we SHOULD have actually relates to self-esteem and self-confidence!

For the majority of my life Ive worked in the health care field. I am a giving, cheerful loving person who loves to give with expecting nothing in return. My boyfriend of 2 years gets upset because I dont tell him when im in need of something ex: a bill of mine needs to be pd or I need gas. I eont ask him for anything. He says I have a pride issue and how can we move forward if you dont ask me for anything when you need it? Do I have a pride issue? Is that bad? Should I except his help?

Hi Jennifer,
I apologize for not responding to your comment sooner. Sometimes, when we have guest authors, the comment section does not get monitored as it should. Anyway, I apologize for the slow response.

In order to answer your questions, I need to ask some. Are you a Christian? Is your boyfriend? Are you planning to get married?

Why don’t you tell him when you need something? I mean, what is your thinking process about this; do you think he won’t think as much of you? I am only asking these questions to better understand you situation. I will be praying for you and your situation in the meantime.

Yours in Christ,

Jaidah, you clearly have the gift, as everyone does, to do the work of God, who directs everything and presents us with no more than we can handle. Live as your spirit dictates, open yourself up to the Lord and the spirit guides who will work through you and with you; present yourself as spirit, through and with the vessel that is your body, your mind, your heart, and your voice. Recognize the barriers that impede your honest, genuine flow, as you learn to more effectively free yourself from the alluring binds of the physical world, which significantly distract us from our missions and limit the capacity of our true potentials, delaying us further from reaching the ultimate destiny of the divine, where we will all eventually meet.
