This is a general question to all contributers. Do you think a Christian who commits suicide will go to heaven? I was asked this, and my reply was that it is up to God, as He, and only He sees the heart.
Any suggestions?

Pastor Jack wrote a great article here on the subject you requested:

God Bless you,

Merry Christmas David!

Thank you for this important topic on purity, and thank you especially for your comforting closing remarks on forgiveness and perseverance in the midst of our failures. When we ask God’s forgiveness and turn from our sin and towards Christ, God makes us pure again. That is so important for us to know…that we are not tainted(“used goods”, “has-beens”, “chattel”) in Him. He is our Restorer.

You are so correct. Right when I think I have it “all together” I find myself drawn away…away from God’s call to purity. It is especially so difficult, as you pointed out, in this age of “in your face” commercial advertising of impurity and the world’s wink(even some Christians), condoning the same.

Reading the Word and this site daily, with articles like yours, encourages me to take up my cross, as you mentioned, daily, and ask for forgiveness(70 x 7 million, on last count), turning my heart, once again, toward Christ, asking for His help in order to follow….follow….follow.

It is what I call the “Great Paradox” of life…that is, when I fail and sin and want to hide, where can I hide? When I want to run, where can I run? I end up trying to run from God but the only place possible to run to… is back to God…the only One capable of my healing.

Blessings DocReits, and a Merry Christmas to you too. In Central Europe we celebrate Christmas this evening.
Am so glad that Jesus The Messiah was born to take away the sins of the world when we give ourselves to Him. Truly “God is with us“. And He not only died but He is risen. Hallelujah.

Is there a line in the bible that mentions about the tainting of pure souls or a line that states something about continuing to be pure and not tainting souls?

I cannot find what Bible verse you are looking for Christine. I am sorry about that but I do know these two things are true; “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1st John 1:9) and 2 Cor 5:21 says ” For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

Hello Pastor….Loved reading the scriptures on purity….Led me to read the book of Habkkuk which for some reason I had never read. My bible is a study bible “Spirit Filled Life Bible”….I have several other bibles but this is my favorite! I’ve had it for 27 yrs and it looks like it…

My desire and prayer is to walk with a pure heart before my Father. No self motives behind things I do or say but it would be through the purity of My Father I do and speak! Have I fallen? yes….but less and less as I age….constantly putting myself on the cross lolol…

Thank you Pastor
