What a beautiful job Pam. These verses come alive in times like these of uncertainty about the future. We have a secure future in times of adversity but only in God Himself. Thank you.

Alexander Warrick May 14, 2012 at 5:04 am

What scripture talks about knowing what to do and being equiped to handle these times. Something similar in the nature I am discussing about it in?

Alexander Warrick May 14, 2012 at 5:08 am

My question is what scripture discusses of knowing what to do and being equiped to handle these times and or something similar?

Pamela Rose Williams May 14, 2012 at 7:15 pm

Hi Alexander Warrick, I hope I understand your question. There are many Scriptures that may help us to handle these times of adversity. What I have learned is that it begins with our thinking — when we are thinking on the right things our “feelings” and “actions” all follow. What I mean to say is we do what we do because we feel what we feel because we think what we think. So think on the right things and adversity will be kept at bay. I suggest committing Phil 4:8-9 to memory for starters.

Yes. Positive thoughts yield positive results. spiritually God does his part. But humanly, you have to do yours. Lets all learn and consult the living manual; the scriptures. Faith, trust, hope, believe should always be your buzz words. This way you defeat the arrows of the evil one!

I fell back today. I keep looking at my ex new relationship with this girl who he cheated on with me. I keep worrying about them two when I should be giving all of my attention to the Lord. When i think of the two of them i have this huge anxiety because I wanted to be loved. I know God can fill my lonliness and love me greater than no man. I need to stop being worrisome. Please pray for me. Today was hard.

Maria July 18, 2013 at 1:05 am

Dear Jadec,
Always remember that the Lord is your portion. Nothing happens as a chance. Everything happened for a reason. Just think, that most likely God removed the man from your life because he was to be a curse and not a blessing? God has a purpose for you and His thoughts about you are good thoughts. Walk in his ways, remember he has a future for you. Be still and wait on on Him. Next time you see them, smile, wave and move on. Let your thought dwell on the future and not the past. He was never meant for you. Yours is on the way. Be blessed.

Chase January 27, 2014 at 6:21 pm

Talofa Jadec, I hope you have found peace in your life. I suffered the same as you so i feel for you an i am familiar with your pain. I guess if you had no children to him it’s a bit easier. I had children to mine so the bond was a bit more in depth, but love is love an it hurts when its lost but amazing when found. What really helped me was that i came to realize that you truly can’t control who you fall in love with / nor your ex partner! We really don’t own anybody an my mistake was i thought that she was my property, but the spirit made me wise an said she actually belongs to God. I hope this msg finds you and finds you well. Chase.

Taz June 4, 2014 at 8:16 pm

I have go through so much adversity. My problems over weigh my joy. I cry to God everynight to bless me. I play basketball, and i put my heart into the game. My coach never lets me play and its not that im not good, its that he dont give me the chance to prove to him that i AM the best. I want to make it to the NBA so i can influence peoples lives with god. I want to show that god is the one who gave it all to me. I want to be the best and give it all to god so people can call upon his name. So please pray for me and help me out. I need any blessings so i can achieve my dream and help win over souls for god. Plz help me!

Levaina July 13, 2014 at 9:52 pm

Dear Taz,
Let your joy over power your adversity and know that God hears your prayers!!! HE is in control of all things and knows your heart. When the time is right to glorify His name in what you do with basketball, it will happen!
Heavenly Father, I come before you now to pray for Taz who wants so much to play basketball. Thank you for giving her the talent to do so, Father, and may it be Your will that she will be able to play for the NBA and glorify Your name by doing so. Bless her coach Father, with the eyes to see what she has to offer her team and the mind to allow her to show him that as well. Her heart seems to be in the right place Father, but only You know if that is true. Forgive her if she has fallen short of Your glory in her words, thoughts and actions for no doubt we all fall short every day. I ask Your blessings upon Taz Father and that You be a lamp unto her feet to guide her footsteps on Your path of righteousness and give her the patience to trust in You that all things work out for the better when we do. We love you Father, and we give You all the praises and thanksgiving in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, now and forever more! Amen!

I have been having a lot of problems with my teeth. Was told Friday I need to have all my teeth (28) pulled. They have all gone bad and I have numerous infections in my mouth. I have been praying and praying. I’m on my 2nd round of antibiotics. Is it ever doing to get better? I feel so overwhelmed and feel like nothing is getting better. Idk how I’m even going to afford to get my teeth all pulled and dentures. I really need prayer. I don’t know what else to do

You cannot imagine what a support system such as this means to someone like me! It is hard to be a Christian in the worldliness in which we live today! I wish there were time and room for me to explain how difficult life is for my family and me right now. If ever there was a hell on earth it is alive and fully operational in the lives of people who want to live what they believe and believe what they live! The Lord tells us that the way to salvation is hard! Jesus is as real as it gets

Brittany April 5, 2015 at 4:34 am

Hi all! Please pray for our family. my son has moderate to sevre autism and weve been battling all of his communicaion and emotional challenges for about 2 or 3 years. Hr hits himself has frequently hit us in past screams early morning and wakes my daughter, and his meltdowns have increased to at least three times a day. The meltdowns are a big event and he has even bruised his own leg over something as simple as he wants to go outseide WHEN he wants to9even if hes been otside that day) its gotten so bad that he keeps breaking knocking down or climbing over bby gates to the kitchen and stairs. i am very tired, and weve been seeking advocacy to an institution or special school
