Hello. I’m on the second module of Exploring Christianity, Exploring the New Testament, run by the diocese of Bath & Wells. I am enjoying the challenge and now completing a section on what the gospels share in common. Your article is most helpful and hopefully I’ll be searching your articles as I progress.
Thanks for your help.
Best wishes,
Chris

In your list of 10 scriptures that are seen in all four gospels you left out one most important event about Jesus also recorded by all four gospels, his baptism, when the Holy Spirit descended like a dove upon him Mt3:16;Mrk1:10;Lk3:22; and Jn1:32

Thank you Joe. Which one of these ten would you take out?

The anointing of Jesus with the fragrant oil in Matthew 26:6-13, Mark 3-9, Luke 7:36-50, John 1-8. Some think the account in Luke describes a different event from the others but it is clearly the same event.
