Biblical Signs of the Second Coming Of Jesus Christ

When Jesus Christ’s disciples asked Him about His return and the “end of the world” their focus was not on the physical end of the earth and its civilization per se. They had in mind the end of the age of man’s rule (the Greek word translated “world” is aion, meaning “age”) and the commencement of a different age ruled by Jesus Christ as king, a reign identified elsewhere in Scripture as the kingdom of God.

In His reply, Christ described the many and varied conditions that would precede His return. They included such things as deception, wars, famines, disease epidemics, earthquakes and religious persecution, all culminating in an unprecedented time of worldwide calamity. We have already experienced in the disastrous 20th and 21st centuries many harbingers of just such a calamity. The earthquake in Japan and ensuing tsunami is a good example. But if we are to believe the prophecies of Scripture, there are many worse events yet to come. (Matt. 24: 3-29)

Just before Jesus’ return He continued by say, ‘Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. And there shall be signs in the sun and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.’” (Luke 21 v.10-11, 25-26)

The Apostle Paul Addresses Signs of Jesus’ Return

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,  Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:1-7)  According to this, a communication gap is not the problem. The cause of increasing immorality is simply an increase in pride and sinfulness; a decrease in desire for true godliness.

The Apostle Paul accurately predicted, “The time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths” (2 Tim. 4:3, 4). It is understood, the “desires” which some will try to “suit” are sinful! Could it be that doctrinal mythology is the result of people with “itching ears” turning to “a great number of teachers” who will say what itching ears with sinful desires want to hear?

Without Natural Affection – One of the most basic Judeo Christian principles has been the natural and beautiful attraction between the sexes. The love of a mother and father for their children, the love of the extended family for each other, and the love of one’s country were similarly considered “natural.” Today we are living in a depraved Romans chapter one world that many fear God has given or will give up to “vile passions” that reverse the normal order of things. (Roman 1 v.26-27)

The Apostle Peter Addresses Signs Of Jesus’ Second Coming

It is fascinating to note that almost 2000 years ago the apostle Peter, an untrained Galilean fisherman, predicted the exact thinking patterns that would characterize these scoffers. He prophesied that … “Scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which now exist are kept in store by the same word, reserved for fire until the Day of Judgment and perdition of ungodly men.” (2 Peter 3 v.3-7)

Why does Peter say that the scoffers are so blind?  He provides us with 2 reasons why: The first is found in 2 Peter 3 v5, “For this they willfully forget.” The unregenerate minds of unbelievers resist the idea of the intervention of God in human affairs. Their problem is spiritual, a matter of the will, and the unbeliever remains deliberately ignorant of the truth. Peter mentions a second reason for the scoffer’s intellectual blindness in verse 3.  He was told that “the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.”

The King is coming, enjoy this video as you continue to read on:

The Prophet Daniel On The Final Days When Jesus Comes Again

“Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly” But Daniel was told that the remaining prophecies are sealed until the last days and that “the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.” (Dan. 12 v.9)

The Top 7 Signs of the Tribulation

Rev. 9: 20 lists the top 7 signs of the Tribulation:

  •  Rebellion against God (“They did not repent”).
  •  Worship of Demons
  •  Idolatry
  •  Murders
  •  Sorceries (“Phar-mak-voos”, from pharmaco for drugs)
  •  Sexual Immorality
  •  Thefts

Why not accept the Lord as Savior today and cleanse all sin from your life and your entry into heaven is secure.  Jesus sacrifice renders you blameless before God in the Great Day of Judgment (Rev. 20:12).  You can be in front of two different Judgment Seats. The Beam Seat of Christ, where the saved are given their eternal rewards, and with it, eternal life or at the Great White Throne Judgment, where the only judgment is to be separated from Jesus Christ for eternity. No one knows the day Christ will return. The end your chance to be saved can come anytime because no one has any guarantee that they will live beyond tomorrow. Die without Christ and the end is now. Here’s how to make certain you are ready at any time:

How to Receive & Know you Have Eternal Life

Admit – that you are a sinner and in need of a Savior (Rom 6:23)

Abandon – self-effort and realize that you can not be saved by your works or your own efforts (Acts 16:31)

Accept freely Christ’s payment for your sins, required of the Father (John 3:16)

Acknowledge Jesus Christ as your personal lord and Savior (Acts 4:12)

Now you can never be lost again and can live forever (John 10:28-29).  As I said, no one has any guarantee that they will live beyond tomorrow and if you die without Christ, for you, the end is now; and for all eternity. Make the decision today, right now. His return has never been closer than it is today. No one knows exactly when Jesus returns but Hebrews 3:7-15 and II Corinthians 6:2 say that, Today is the accepted day of salvation, and now is the day of salvation. Tomorrow may never come. I beg you to come today, while it is still called today.

Hi, Jack. Forgive my selfishness but it has got me down a bit. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about humanity and their problems and eternal destiny. I’m constantly wishing God’s joy, peace, and blessings on all those Satan has in his clutches. I would give up everything I had and give it all to even the worst criminal on earth if it meant they would know God and His love. Secondly and this is what gets me down as well. I have no gifts and talents. I’m not that special and have no idea what I am good at. I was raised in a talented family, married to a beautiful, talented princess of God and our son is already excelling intellectually and he’s only seven. I don’t know who I am.

Brandon. I am actually encouraged by your comment my friend. Here’s why. You sound like Paul’s compassionate and broken heart for the lost for he said in Romans 9:13, “For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, those of my own race.” You have the gift of mercy because you want to rescue the perishing. A great deal of Christians are sitting at home tonight watching TV or listening to music while the rest of the world is on a broad path to destruction, yet you care! That’s awesome. You actually have an evangelists heart. ALL of God’s children have gifts. There is not one believer who doesn’t at least have a few. Most have several. I know who you are. You are a man after God’s own heart…a heart that breaks for the lost and are not willing, like God, that any should perish. Here is what I suggest:

First, read this:

http://www.whatchristianswanttoknow.com/how-to-evangelize-door-to-door-seven-helpful-tips/

And then this:

http://www.whatchristianswanttoknow.com/how-to-share-the-gospel-with-family/

I get a strong, strong sense that you would do excellent in Evangelism and Outreach, handing out Bible tracts, even street evangelism. Now don’t fall off your chair. There are many who never once in their lives share the gospel. Here is another one to read:

http://www.whatchristianswanttoknow.com/who-goes-to-heaven-do-good-people-go-to-heaven/

It may be God’s purpose to have you to come here to learn about how powerfully God can use you. It takes a man of God, and the Word of God, with the Spirit of God, to make children of God. See it? You HAVE gifts. Now start reading these links. Copy them down to a document and start studying how God is going to possibly use you in a most powerful way. Remember, the powers in the message (the Bible) not in the messenger and God is glorified by using weak, inept vessels (like me) to proclaim the gospel and save souls so that God will be glorified in that this was only possible because of His Spirit! Let me know what you think. This could change your life and could change the eternal destiny of those who are presently headed to hell on a broad path.

Thank you, Jack. My heart bleeds for them. It’s neverending Jack. These poor souls will never leave such a place that wasn’t created for us. I can assure you Bin Laden, Hitler, Hussein and countless other horrific people are sorry for what they’ve done. But it’s too late.

Yes, but its not too late for your next door neighbors, your friends, your uncle Joe, your….the guy standing on the street. Some of the most effective Bible tracts around are at the wayofthemaster.com’s store. Get em’, spread em out, leave them on winshields of car’s wipers, mail em’ back when you pay bills, leave them in the car wash, the laundry mat, there are hundreds of places. If someone is breathing…and there are lots of em’…God is not done with them yet. There is still hope for the living! Go get em tiger.

Hi Brandon, wanted to share a few things with you because a few things have really hit home. I’d like for you to take Bro Jack’s advise, he is a wise man and God has used him mightily.
First, watch the words that come out of your mouth. The Bible
says life and death are in the power of the tongue. This was very difficult for me because I used to be pessimist about so much. ( I had taken a few notes one night listening to Joel Osteen.). But with The Lord leading, I wrote these down.
#1. I am valuable! #2. I can do ALL things throug Christ.
#3. I am more than a conquered. #4. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. #5 I’m excited about my life, my best
are still ahead. #6 Lord, you said I’m the head and not the
tail. Now, did I “feel” all this? No!!! But as I begin to speak good things and as I sought The Lord. My whole life
changed!! Please, try this. But the main thing is to seek
The LORD!!!
And I do not like your last statement, regarding never
being born. Brandon!! God knew YOU in your mothers
womb!! You my friend are believing lies from the enemy!
Now is not the time to quit, so come on “RISE UP!!”
There’s a lost world out there.

Brandon,
I’m trying to correct a previous post, in
hopes you will see it. So bear with me.
I want to encourage you to take Bro Jack’s
advice. He’s a mighty man of God.
I wanted to share what helped me tremendous
Brandon, The Bible says life and death are
in the power of the tongue. You’re speaking
defeat. I watched Joel Osteen one night and
I made a decision to change what I was
saying about my life. #1 I am valuable.
#2 I can do all things through Christ.
#3. I am more than a conquerer. #4 I am
fearfully and wonderfully made. #5 Lord,
You said, I am the head and not the tail.
The challenge was to say these OUT LOUD
at least 3 times a day, more if ya can for
30 days. Now, did I believe what I was
saying? No, not fully. And the 1st Few days
days were weird. It was so unnaturnal
However, I was beginning to feel a shift.
With The Holy Spirit leading, i began to
notice the difference. My talk, my thoughts
And my perspective started to change. The
Main thing is to Seek The Lord. Seek Him
dillgently! We must know WHO we are in
Christ. If you will purpose in your heart to
seek Him, He will show you amazing things!
And Brandon, no one would be better if you
We’re not born!! STOP! You are believing
the devils lies!!! Like Bro Jack said, don’t
Fall off the chair. NOW is the time to get
with it. And like Jack, would love to hear from
You! I’m praying for you, Brandon!

Hello, Jack and everybody. I thought I would share with y’all that I am crazy about God. Now every time I pray and have intimacy with Him my heart melts and tears almost form. I tell Him how awesome He is and how much I adore Him. Not just His blessings but Him as a person. I love every one of His attributes. Even His holiness, justice, and righteousness. I want to start writing Psalms to Him but I’m not talented.

Reply

Jack Wellman April 26, 2013 at 12:08 pm

Brandon….you actually just wrote a Psalm in my opinion. A “Psalm” is strictly speaking, a song and a song is a praise-work written specifically to God about His glorious attributes, like the ones you mentioned…His holiness, justice, and righteousness. Good work. God will inspire you and He provides the talent by His Holy Spirit.

Jack,
This morning I was thinking about the Lord and I asked to see His glory. Not a minute later I begin weeping uncontrollably about the Lord and the lost. Some family members, Boston Marathon bombers, and the worst dictators. I don’t know what was happening to me. I cried for twenty minutes.

Jack Wellman April 30, 2013 at 10:17 am

Brandon…this is so good my friend that you wept for those who are perishing. Remember when Jesus beheld Jerusalem with all the lost sheep? He wept. Your weeping shows me the compassion you have for those and perhaps God has put in your heart the desire to rescue the perishing.

Jack,
He has. The Holy Spirit came upon me hard. I asked to see His glory and part of that is His heart towards sinners. Later on I felt a warmth and peace run through me and all I could do is lift my hands and praise Him with a radiant smile. I sang a praise song to Him. I’m madly in love with the Lord. All I seek is His face/person.

Jack,
In revelations 5:1-10. Jesus took seven things. I know that one of them is Power, but what’s the remaining Six? Help me out, please. Thanks

Thank you Jasmine for your question, which is a good one. After reading Revelation 5:1-10 it seems that the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, is the only One Worthy to open the scrolls. These scrolls appear to contain the judgments of the lost during what may be the Tribulation period.

The scroll in Daniel 12 appears to be the same scroll that is in view in the book of Revelation chapter 5. The idea of sealing and opening books in connection with end-time happenings is found in the OT only in Daniel 12 and 7. Interestingly, there is writing inside and on the back: This means that this scroll is unusual. It wasn’t common practice to write on both sides of the scroll. This means that whatever the information on this scroll, there is a lot of it – almost more than the scroll can contain.

Some think the scroll is the Old Testament, or the Old and New Testaments together, or fulfilled prophecy. But these ideas look back, not forward, and John is speaks of things related to things which must take place after this (Revelation 4:1). Additionally, if the scroll is the Old or New Testament, who is unworthy to open that scroll?

Some think the scroll is God’s claim of divorce against Israel, but there is little Scriptural evidence for this idea, and who is unworthy to open that scroll?

Others believe the scroll is God’s sentence against the enemies of the church. Perhaps this is true, but only in an indirect sense; but who is unworthy to open that scroll?

Truly I can not say and maybe God keeps this secret until Jesus is ready to return to judge the earth because whatever is on this scroll, no one except Jesus is worthy to open it (Revelation 5:3-4). I surely don’t. Perhaps as it unfolds we will know.

Jack,
ok thanks. What are the works of the spirit–The things that the spirit wants?? ‘Cuz i was told and i know that the Second u give ur life to chrit your Spirit is recreated. The spirit communicates with God. Not the soul, not the body.. But they are some things the Soul [flesh] craves for. (Galatians 5:15-21) [The works of the flesh] which has to stop in order for the spirit to be able to communicate wit God . So, i want you to please list out the works of the spirit. What the spirit wants. Thanks

Thank you Jasmine. The Spirit always glorifies Jesus Christ. Now, for the works of the Spirit, I assume you mean the fruits (or results that the Spirit shows). These are listed in Galatians 5:22-23:

“love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”

Is this what you mean Jasmine? Thank you for your question.
