Biblical Signs of the Second Coming Of Jesus Christ

by Jack Wellman · Print Print · Email Email

When Jesus Christ’s disciples asked Him about His return and the “end of the world” their focus was not on the physical end of the earth and its civilization per se. They had in mind the end of the age of man’s rule (the Greek word translated “world” is aion, meaning “age”) and the commencement of a different age ruled by Jesus Christ as king, a reign identified elsewhere in Scripture as the kingdom of God.

In His reply, Christ described the many and varied conditions that would precede His return. They included such things as deception, wars, famines, disease epidemics, earthquakes and religious persecution, all culminating in an unprecedented time of worldwide calamity. We have already experienced in the disastrous 20th and 21st centuries many harbingers of just such a calamity. The earthquake in Japan and ensuing tsunami is a good example. But if we are to believe the prophecies of Scripture, there are many worse events yet to come. (Matt. 24: 3-29)

Just before Jesus’ return He continued by say, ‘Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. And there shall be signs in the sun and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.’” (Luke 21 v.10-11, 25-26)

The Apostle Paul Addresses Signs of Jesus’ Return

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,  Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:1-7)  According to this, a communication gap is not the problem. The cause of increasing immorality is simply an increase in pride and sinfulness; a decrease in desire for true godliness.

The Apostle Paul accurately predicted, “The time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths” (2 Tim. 4:3, 4). It is understood, the “desires” which some will try to “suit” are sinful! Could it be that doctrinal mythology is the result of people with “itching ears” turning to “a great number of teachers” who will say what itching ears with sinful desires want to hear?

Without Natural Affection – One of the most basic Judeo Christian principles has been the natural and beautiful attraction between the sexes. The love of a mother and father for their children, the love of the extended family for each other, and the love of one’s country were similarly considered “natural.” Today we are living in a depraved Romans chapter one world that many fear God has given or will give up to “vile passions” that reverse the normal order of things. (Roman 1 v.26-27)

The Apostle Peter Addresses Signs Of Jesus’ Second Coming

It is fascinating to note that almost 2000 years ago the apostle Peter, an untrained Galilean fisherman, predicted the exact thinking patterns that would characterize these scoffers. He prophesied that … “Scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which now exist are kept in store by the same word, reserved for fire until the Day of Judgment and perdition of ungodly men.” (2 Peter 3 v.3-7)

Why does Peter say that the scoffers are so blind?  He provides us with 2 reasons why: The first is found in 2 Peter 3 v5, “For this they willfully forget.” The unregenerate minds of unbelievers resist the idea of the intervention of God in human affairs. Their problem is spiritual, a matter of the will, and the unbeliever remains deliberately ignorant of the truth. Peter mentions a second reason for the scoffer’s intellectual blindness in verse 3.  He was told that “the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.”

The King is coming, enjoy this video as you continue to read on:

The Prophet Daniel On The Final Days When Jesus Comes Again

“Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly” But Daniel was told that the remaining prophecies are sealed until the last days and that “the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.” (Dan. 12 v.9)

The Top 7 Signs of the Tribulation

Rev. 9: 20 lists the top 7 signs of the Tribulation:

  •  Rebellion against God (“They did not repent”).
  •  Worship of Demons
  •  Idolatry
  •  Murders
  •  Sorceries (“Phar-mak-voos”, from pharmaco for drugs)
  •  Sexual Immorality
  •  Thefts

Why not accept the Lord as Savior today and cleanse all sin from your life and your entry into heaven is secure.  Jesus sacrifice renders you blameless before God in the Great Day of Judgment (Rev. 20:12).  You can be in front of two different Judgment Seats. The Beam Seat of Christ, where the saved are given their eternal rewards, and with it, eternal life or at the Great White Throne Judgment, where the only judgment is to be separated from Jesus Christ for eternity. No one knows the day Christ will return. The end your chance to be saved can come anytime because no one has any guarantee that they will live beyond tomorrow. Die without Christ and the end is now. Here’s how to make certain you are ready at any time:

How to Receive & Know you Have Eternal Life

Admit – that you are a sinner and in need of a Savior (Rom 6:23)

Abandon – self-effort and realize that you can not be saved by your works or your own efforts (Acts 16:31)

Accept freely Christ’s payment for your sins, required of the Father (John 3:16)

Acknowledge Jesus Christ as your personal lord and Savior (Acts 4:12)

Repent of your sins which means forsake them and turn away from them (Mark 1:15).

Finally, put your trust in Christ to save you and believe in Him and you have eternal life (John 3:16-17).

Now you are secure in God’s hands (John 10:28-29).  As I said, no one has any guarantee that they will live beyond tomorrow and if you die without Christ, for you, the end is now; and for all eternity. Make the decision today, right now. His return has never been closer than it is today. No one knows exactly when Jesus returns but Hebrews 3:7-15 and II Corinthians 6:2 say that, Today is the accepted day of salvation, and now is the day of salvation. Tomorrow may never come. I beg you to come today, while it is still called today.

Hi, Jack. Forgive my selfishness but it has got me down a bit. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about humanity and their problems and eternal destiny. I’m constantly wishing God’s joy, peace, and blessings on all those Satan has in his clutches. I would give up everything I had and give it all to even the worst criminal on earth if it meant they would know God and His love. Secondly and this is what gets me down as well. I have no gifts and talents. I’m not that special and have no idea what I am good at. I was raised in a talented family, married to a beautiful, talented princess of God and our son is already excelling intellectually and he’s only seven. I don’t know who I am.

Jack Wellman March 6, 2013 at 6:32 pm

Brandon. I am actually encouraged by your comment my friend. Here’s why. You sound like Paul’s compassionate and broken heart for the lost for he said in Romans 9:13, “For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, those of my own race.” You have the gift of mercy because you want to rescue the perishing. A great deal of Christians are sitting at home tonight watching TV or listening to music while the rest of the world is on a broad path to destruction, yet you care! That’s awesome. You actually have an evangelists heart. ALL of God’s children have gifts. There is not one believer who doesn’t at least have a few. Most have several. I know who you are. You are a man after God’s own heart…a heart that breaks for the lost and are not willing, like God, that any should perish. Here is what I suggest:

First, read this:

And then this:

I get a strong, strong sense that you would do excellent in Evangelism and Outreach, handing out Bible tracts, even street evangelism. Now don’t fall off your chair. There are many who never once in their lives share the gospel. Here is another one to read:

It may be God’s purpose to have you to come here to learn about how powerfully God can use you. It takes a man of God, and the Word of God, with the Spirit of God, to make children of God. See it? You HAVE gifts. Now start reading these links. Copy them down to a document and start studying how God is going to possibly use you in a most powerful way. Remember, the powers in the message (the Bible) not in the messenger and God is glorified by using weak, inept vessels (like me) to proclaim the gospel and save souls so that God will be glorified in that this was only possible because of His Spirit! Let me know what you think. This could change your life and could change the eternal destiny of those who are presently headed to hell on a broad path.

Chandra Leigh August 27, 2013 at 1:28 am

I add this only because it’s important… before you do anything invite God into your life and ask His will to be done first. May God’s will be done…

…show me the way God, amen.

Brandon March 6, 2013 at 6:41 pm

Thank you, Jack. My heart bleeds for them. It’s neverending Jack. These poor souls will never leave such a place that wasn’t created for us. I can assure you Bin Laden, Hitler, Hussein and countless other horrific people are sorry for what they’ve done. But it’s too late.

Jack Wellman March 6, 2013 at 6:45 pm

Yes, but its not too late for your next door neighbors, your friends, your uncle Joe, your….the guy standing on the street. Some of the most effective Bible tracts around are at the’s store. Get em’, spread em out, leave them on winshields of car’s wipers, mail em’ back when you pay bills, leave them in the car wash, the laundry mat, there are hundreds of places. If someone is breathing…and there are lots of em’…God is not done with them yet. There is still hope for the living! Go get em tiger.

Brandon March 6, 2013 at 6:49 pm

Will do. I’m just a man and my heart breaks. I cannot even begin to imagine how bad it must break God’s heart.

Brandon March 10, 2013 at 1:23 pm

I sure hope Christ returns soon. I have a feeling it would have been better for everybody had I not been put on this earth.

Ava March 21, 2013 at 6:36 pm

Hi Brandon, wanted to share a few things with you because a few things have really hit home. I’d like for you to take Bro Jack’s advise, he is a wise man and God has used him mightily.
First, watch the words that come out of your mouth. The Bible
says life and death are in the power of the tongue. This was very difficult for me because I used to be pessimist about so much. ( I had taken a few notes one night listening to Joel Osteen.). But with The Lord leading, I wrote these down.
#1. I am valuable! #2. I can do ALL things throug Christ.
#3. I am more than a conquered. #4. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. #5 I’m excited about my life, my best
are still ahead. #6 Lord, you said I’m the head and not the
tail. Now, did I “feel” all this? No!!! But as I begin to speak good things and as I sought The Lord. My whole life
changed!! Please, try this. But the main thing is to seek
The LORD!!!
And I do not like your last statement, regarding never
being born. Brandon!! God knew YOU in your mothers
womb!! You my friend are believing lies from the enemy!
Now is not the time to quit, so come on “RISE UP!!”
There’s a lost world out there.

Jack March 22, 2013 at 12:11 am

Hi Jack,
I hope you are well. I commented on a post from
Brandon. Unfortunately, I put it under my
name. I’ve tried to delete & re-do, but I am
unable to delete. I’m sorry to post 2 comments
but trying to make it right. God bless you, your family
and your ministry.

Jack Wellman March 22, 2013 at 10:42 am

Thanks brother Jack (why does this seem like I’m talking to myself? LOL, i.e., Jack to Jack). I appreciate your posts, no matter where they show up but no problem my friend. Thank you for your blessings upon me and my family and ministry. I covet your friendship.

Brandon March 22, 2013 at 1:03 am

I’m trying to correct a previous post, in
hopes you will see it. So bear with me.
I want to encourage you to take Bro Jack’s
advice. He’s a mighty man of God.
I wanted to share what helped me tremendous
Brandon, The Bible says life and death are
in the power of the tongue. You’re speaking
defeat. I watched Joel Osteen one night and
I made a decision to change what I was
saying about my life. #1 I am valuable.
#2 I can do all things through Christ.
#3. I am more than a conquerer. #4 I am
fearfully and wonderfully made. #5 Lord,
You said, I am the head and not the tail.
The challenge was to say these OUT LOUD
at least 3 times a day, more if ya can for
30 days. Now, did I believe what I was
saying? No, not fully. And the 1st Few days
days were weird. It was so unnaturnal
However, I was beginning to feel a shift.
With The Holy Spirit leading, i began to
notice the difference. My talk, my thoughts
And my perspective started to change. The
Main thing is to Seek The Lord. Seek Him
dillgently! We must know WHO we are in
Christ. If you will purpose in your heart to
seek Him, He will show you amazing things!
And Brandon, no one would be better if you
We’re not born!! STOP! You are believing
the devils lies!!! Like Bro Jack said, don’t
Fall off the chair. NOW is the time to get
with it. And like Jack, would love to hear from
You! I’m praying for you, Brandon!

Brandon April 25, 2013 at 8:46 pm

Hello, Jack and everybody. I thought I would share with y’all that I am crazy about God. Now every time I pray and have intimacy with Him my heart melts and tears almost form. I tell Him how awesome He is and how much I adore Him. Not just His blessings but Him as a person. I love every one of His attributes. Even His holiness, justice, and righteousness. I want to start writing Psalms to Him but I’m not talented.

Jack Wellman April 26, 2013 at 12:08 pm

Brandon….you actually just wrote a Psalm in my opinion. A “Psalm” is strictly speaking, a song and a song is a praise-work written specifically to God about His glorious attributes, like the ones you mentioned…His holiness, justice, and righteousness. Good work. God will inspire you and He provides the talent by His Holy Spirit.

Brandon April 26, 2013 at 8:22 pm

I hope He likes my writing. I’m crazy about Him. How can you not be?

Jack Wellman April 27, 2013 at 10:36 am

He is the only One worthy to write about and to worship my good friend. May God richly bless your hand in these praise songs.

Brandon April 29, 2013 at 10:20 pm

This morning I was thinking about the Lord and I asked to see His glory. Not a minute later I begin weeping uncontrollably about the Lord and the lost. Some family members, Boston Marathon bombers, and the worst dictators. I don’t know what was happening to me. I cried for twenty minutes.

Jack Wellman April 30, 2013 at 10:17 am

Brandon…this is so good my friend that you wept for those who are perishing. Remember when Jesus beheld Jerusalem with all the lost sheep? He wept. Your weeping shows me the compassion you have for those and perhaps God has put in your heart the desire to rescue the perishing.

Brandon April 30, 2013 at 10:31 am

He has. The Holy Spirit came upon me hard. I asked to see His glory and part of that is His heart towards sinners. Later on I felt a warmth and peace run through me and all I could do is lift my hands and praise Him with a radiant smile. I sang a praise song to Him. I’m madly in love with the Lord. All I seek is His face/person.

jasmine May 9, 2013 at 2:46 pm

In revelations 5:1-10. Jesus took seven things. I know that one of them is Power, but what’s the remaining Six? Help me out, please. Thanks

Jack Wellman May 9, 2013 at 8:14 pm

Thank you Jasmine for your question, which is a good one. After reading Revelation 5:1-10 it seems that the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, is the only One Worthy to open the scrolls. These scrolls appear to contain the judgments of the lost during what may be the Tribulation period.

The scroll in Daniel 12 appears to be the same scroll that is in view in the book of Revelation chapter 5. The idea of sealing and opening books in connection with end-time happenings is found in the OT only in Daniel 12 and 7. Interestingly, there is writing inside and on the back: This means that this scroll is unusual. It wasn’t common practice to write on both sides of the scroll. This means that whatever the information on this scroll, there is a lot of it – almost more than the scroll can contain.

Some think the scroll is the Old Testament, or the Old and New Testaments together, or fulfilled prophecy. But these ideas look back, not forward, and John is speaks of things related to things which must take place after this (Revelation 4:1). Additionally, if the scroll is the Old or New Testament, who is unworthy to open that scroll?

Some think the scroll is God’s claim of divorce against Israel, but there is little Scriptural evidence for this idea, and who is unworthy to open that scroll?

Others believe the scroll is God’s sentence against the enemies of the church. Perhaps this is true, but only in an indirect sense; but who is unworthy to open that scroll?

Truly I can not say and maybe God keeps this secret until Jesus is ready to return to judge the earth because whatever is on this scroll, no one except Jesus is worthy to open it (Revelation 5:3-4). I surely don’t. Perhaps as it unfolds we will know.

jasmine May 10, 2013 at 7:59 am

ok thanks. What are the works of the spirit–The things that the spirit wants?? ‘Cuz i was told and i know that the Second u give ur life to chrit your Spirit is recreated. The spirit communicates with God. Not the soul, not the body.. But they are some things the Soul [flesh] craves for. (Galatians 5:15-21) [The works of the flesh] which has to stop in order for the spirit to be able to communicate wit God . So, i want you to please list out the works of the spirit. What the spirit wants. Thanks

jasmine May 10, 2013 at 8:05 am

Read Amplified version please. That’s what i read.

Jack Wellman May 10, 2013 at 1:43 pm

Thank you Jasmine. The Spirit always glorifies Jesus Christ. Now, for the works of the Spirit, I assume you mean the fruits (or results that the Spirit shows). These are listed in Galatians 5:22-23:

“love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”

Is this what you mean Jasmine? Thank you for your question.

jasmine May 10, 2013 at 5:18 pm

yes. Thank you so much, Jack. God bless you.!

a. stephenson May 22, 2013 at 3:25 pm

it.s really wonderful and awesome about the coming of jesus christ. nowadays faithful christians are in secret sin they don’t have faith. even pastors and evangelist are money minded and becoming false prophet. thanks for everything.

Jack Wellman May 22, 2013 at 3:35 pm

Amen to that. I know that you are right…even Satan can appear as an angel of light and I believe he is behind many pulpits today. Thank you for your comment…it is spot on the mark of truth.

Sarah G May 26, 2013 at 8:15 pm

Hi Jack,

I just wanted to say that all my life I have suffered a sickness Epilepsy and have been a strong believer of Christ but no amount of my faith has helped me. No medication or surgery has helped. There have been many tragedies, problems and sufferings I’ve been through and I’m just longing for the coming of Christ. Why did none of my prayers or faith work while I’m living on this earth?

Jack Wellman May 26, 2013 at 8:19 pm

Hello Sarah. I am so very sorry for your lifelong suffering. I know that the Father told Jesus three times “No” to have “This cup pass from me” of Calvary. Three times God said “NO!” to Paul who was suffering with His thorn in the flesh. Job lost all of his family, all of crops, all his livestock, his home, his wealth, his …everything! Yet God never did tell Job why he did this even though the Bible says that he was blameless.

Paul wrote “Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea.” Further in 2 Cor 11 “I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again. 24Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. 25Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, 26I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers. 27I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked.” yet God removed none of these terrible sufferings and next to Jesus and perhaps more than Job, Paul suffered so much.

God does understand our anger our frustration our desperation for sure. Who endured more than Christ (Isaiah 52, 53)? NO one. The Bible never promises happiness in this life but eternal joy in the next. We must trust God even though in this life we won’t have an answer but that He knows best for how much more does the Potter know that the clay vessel? Make sense? I pray it does.

Natasha April 12, 2015 at 2:38 am

Hi Sarah,
I know now, after a tragedy in my family, that some people live through many hardships and it gives them so much strength. They are an inspiration to others. People around them are happier for knowing and being near them to see their example. So maybe God just has an extra special plan for you and knows how strong you can be for Him.

Aline July 24, 2013 at 4:04 am

Good day, I wanna thank our heavenly father for giving us people like u. We might leave in different world but technology make it possible and thank GOD for that. I have a leave-in boyfriend that i love and i want both of us to be safe and to go to heaven. Its really difficult to convince him to give his life to GOD, he is a God fearing man but he did not give his life to God and neither did i. I m a prayerful woman and would like to give my life to God. My boyfriend currently lost his job and i do not want to leave now especilally in the situation his in now and on the other hand i want to give my life to God and follow him. I dont want to fornicate, i really want us to get married but with the financial situation his in its not possible. what must i do?

Jack Wellman July 24, 2013 at 10:56 am

Aline, thank you for your question. Let me tell you that you must leave this live-in situation with your boyfriend and do it immediately, even if you have to live on the street. Are you telling me that you are more worried about your financial situations that you are about obeying God?

Please, leave this fornication because no fornicator or sexually immoral person will ever inherit the kingdom of God. Read 1 John chapter 3 and you will see that you nor your boyfriend are living a Christian life and may be lying and deceiving yourself. No born again believer continues to sin and live in sin. Be warned. Get out today!

Gracious. July 24, 2013 at 11:29 am

Aline, it sounds so difficult as it may seem you are leaving him because he is jobless. But when it comes to salvation, as Pastor Jack’s article stipulates, related to the Scriptures, what is important is salvation, compared to the cares of this life.
I understand you love him, but what will that love mean if both of you end up in hell.
Salvation is an individual’s acceptance of GOD’s Grace, through the mouth confession of the Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2v1-9.
If you carefully read John 3v16, we read a section where it says; ”………That whosoever believes in Him, SHOULD NOT PERISH but have everlasting life.”
A very important part that tells us how important an individual’s acceptance of Christ is.
In Luke 15v7, the Lord Jesus says; ”……I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety-nine just persons which need no repentance.”
So,he from this you can see how important it is for you to be born again or to say receive the Lord Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
I want to thank you for the passion that you have over your boyfriend. Its just unfortunate that he can’t be convinced.
But I would like to say, be the first and show him what it means to receive and walk with Christ. That’s what will make him make a decision of either staying or not. Show him the way. God wants you as an individual and him as an individual too.
Pastor Jack will shade more light here. Thanks.

Jack Wellman July 24, 2013 at 12:27 pm

Amen Gracious. You are so right. God wants us to set our affections on Him and obedience to Him shows Him that we belong to Christ. Disobedience creates doubts in our salvation and if we choose to sin what we do is to choose to suffer. God will not ever compromise with sin and God will not leave unpunished those who are committing fornication and/or sexual immorality. God is not mocked…we will reap what we sow.

Gracious. July 24, 2013 at 11:38 am

Thank you Pastor Jack. We were writing almost at the same time.
Am grateful for that straight forward answer.
Pastor, this is my field. Am a soul winner. And I got so concerned when I received Aline’s email in my box.
Am happy you have come back to her very quickly. Praise God for that.
God bless you man of God.
Aline, live the man today. Be saved because this is the best time for you.

Peter C. September 20, 2013 at 6:22 am

There is an old saying that is a summary of the 26 verses of Isaiah Chapter 3. Reading it clearly shows that it is a perfect prophetic portrayal of the 21st century and of prominent world figures such as Barrack Obama and David Cameron – along with many of the presently powerful socio-political movements in the west which strongly influence them such as radical feminism and gay rights.

“When the power of Satan is at its height, your leaders shall have the minds of children and women shall control them”.

This is not a message of misogyny, but a warning to all human beings of the sin of women seeking power and influence in the world alongside and above men, which is biblically forbidden and separates women from their proper role as defined by God. It is not condemnatory of women who rightly accept this truth. But it is a stern warning to the women who seek political and judicial power – AND to the men who encourage them to do so.

Steven Dodge October 8, 2013 at 6:31 pm

this was a very insightful passage. i do hope the lord returns soon so than that all sin will cease.

Jack Wellman October 8, 2013 at 7:27 pm

I am so with you on this Mr. Dodge. I simply cannot wait for that Great Day…and I agree about sin. Lose the sin and lose the suffering.

Brandon January 6, 2014 at 6:45 pm

I am in a stage where all my life’s desire is to have more of the Lord and to serve Him. I am never content. I am always craving prayer time and worship. And I love reading His Word. I even get emotional looking at my prayer closet and get irritable. I seek more of Him. Me and my wife, Sharai are serving in our church for 2014. I will be on the ministry prayer partner and email intercessor teams. Prayer is my passion. I just need some advice on how to control my spiritual discontent. Also, I doubt my salvation and sometimes fear I am a false convert. When I repented and turned to Christ for forgiveness the change wasn’t immediate. It probably took a couple of weeks. I get concerned Jack.

Jack Wellman January 6, 2014 at 7:38 pm

Thank you Brandon for your comment. Many of us at times doubt our salvation but to doubt is to show that you care about being saved and is actually sound evidence of your being saved. When we repent, it takes all of our life to change and it does happen but even Paul struggled with this after conversion (read Romans 7). Don’t lose heart. We all stumble and fall but God promises this in 1 John 1:9 that “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” That’s it. Repent, ask for forgiveness, and you’re forgiven. You just have to trust Him at His Word and God cannot lie. You say you need “some advice on how to control my spiritual discontent.’ Here it is. Read the Book of Philippians and see how that we all live in one of two tents: discon”tent” or con”tent”ment so you can choose your own tent. Read Philippians and see how much we have to be joyful over. A false convert doesn’t care if they sin or not thinking they’re good to go… but once we are forgiven, then we are justified in God’s sight (2 Cor 5:21). Read Romans 8 too to see just how secure the believer is and also Ephesians chapter 1 & 2. Get into the Word and the Word will give you comfort and peace of mind Brandon.

Brandon January 7, 2014 at 10:08 pm

Jack, I was saying my spiritual discontent is me never being content in my walk with Christ. I am always hungering and thirsting for my First Love and serving Him more.

Jack Wellman January 7, 2014 at 10:35 pm

Brandon, my apologies. I see what you are saying now. I believe that instead of being spiritually discontented, perhaps it is the fact (and this happens to me) the more I grow to know God the more Holy I see He is and just how unholy and wretched that I am. I still believe that you and Paul have much in common and that is why I recommend Romans chapter 7 because you can read Paul’s frustration with himself in that he sees himself falling miserably short in his walk with Christ but that to me, is actually good because it is clear evidence that you have the Holy Spirit working in you strongly to have that passionate desire to grow in His grace and knowledge. Try to see that as a good thing instead of feeling like you are not walking with Him (who is, really!?) well enough. As the under-shepherd of the church I pastor, I would love to have men like you who have such a hunger and thirst like a panting deer in the desert wilderness. I don’t see this enough as it is so take heart. The Laodicean church is neither cold nor hot but I see you as nothing like being lukewarm so you are showing me that you have not lost that first love because the church at Laodicea had lost it and was lukewarm…which means they had one foot in the world and one foot in the church. I hope I was more specific this time Brandon.

Brandon January 7, 2014 at 11:01 pm

No reason to apologize at all Jack! My grammar is poor so sometimes I don’t convey my message the right way. You are a blessing to the Body of Christ. Keep preaching the uncompromised Gospel and Word of God. I know you are reaching MANY for Christ. Me and Sharai will be serving in our church 2014. I will be doing ministry prayer partner and email intercessor. I am so nervous and excited! All for His Glory. Prayer is my passion as I am head over heels in love with the Lord. God bless you and may EVERYTHING lift up the mighty name of Jesus Christ and give Him all the Glory!

Hello Brandon.
I see you are a man who binds threads together.
Can you see me related on any specific characteristic after reading what I have to share with you?
– I feel it’s very neccesary to have people really feel comforted by my pressence. In this way, they feel love into their hearts, that they feel comfortable with themselves and their abilities, so they can further evolve by themselves.
– I put on great weight on people, any people who seeks freedom and safety, and will help them out, as much as I can.
– I am often in doubt about what I should do myself.
When i’m not replied by these people I help my best, I feel lonely and sad.
But as times go, I learn fast and realize that some people must have a taste of pain, to learn appriciate the small and great things I do for the most people who ask me for help.
– Other people who seeks my help, simply tells me how they feel and what they’ve been throug.
Bassicly I tell them a story and give them faith in themselves, that they’ve got a reason to trust and believe in themselves and keep carry on these burdens they walk around with.
– When I stand in the situation myself, I just have to speak to some one I hold and love deeply in my heart, to suddenly feel flying and fit for passing another obstacle in life.
I’ve been fighting since I was a little little boy, just until to a couple of years ago from today, between these times.
I’ve got so mad at others for they wouldn’t listen to my opinion, or wouldn’t try to understand where they’re going, with the way they have chosed in their path of life.
– Friends of mine told me to be all knowing, but I had to reply I didn’t know everything, and long from.
But everytime they had a question, I would answer them, and give them the answer they’ve been seeking.
– Can you give me an advice how to improve my way of being?
– Ohh by the way, I realized i’m supposed to be a guardian for many while writing this text.
Thanks for let me share this with you, best regards.

Brandon May 19, 2014 at 2:17 am

Hi, Jack! I had a couple of things. Every time I pray I either weep or well up inside. I weep when I sin, not out of condemnation. Then at times I weep when our relationship is good. What could be happening? Secondly, I have had two young women and a young man on Facebook claim Jesus told them I am not born again and that Jesus tells them who and who isn’t saved. One of the women said that Jesus said, “Brandon, why are you persecuting me?” I love Jesus. What is going on?

Jack Wellman May 19, 2014 at 9:56 am

Hi Brandon. Jesus said that blessed are those who weep for they shall be comforted and David wept all night over his sin once…so that is a good thing. This shows godly repentance. We can also weep for joy or during times of good. I think it is a good thing to be such a tenderhearted person. Those people on Facebook cannot look into the heart and know whether you are or are not saved. I would say that you are since you give evidence of a sorrow over sin and weeping when you sin. Only God can look at the heart. Those two young women and man are not qualified to judge and they have no business do so. These women and men have judgmental problems…each of us will be judged before Christ and they are not in place of God. Don’t worry about them…if I were you I would ignore them and pray for them and even go so far as to unfriend them.

Ashley July 21, 2014 at 12:50 pm

Wow! I didn’t realize how close to the end we actually are. I just know the past 3 years especially, it is like some things are speeding up and Christ will be back soon.

Jack Wellman July 21, 2014 at 2:34 pm

Amen Ashley…amen…all the more reason to be even bolder in our preaching the gospel to the lost to repent and trust in Christ before its too late (Rev 20:11-15). Thank you so much for your very accurate comments. You are so right; at least it appears that way.

Brandon Hooks August 18, 2014 at 9:05 pm

Maybe you can interpret these two things? About 6 months ago I was dozing off at night and in my head heard an audible male voice say, “Brandon.” The same thing happened again a month later from that. I was about to drift off to sleep and heard, “Brandon.” Then probably a couple weeks later I was going to sleep and heard in my head an audible male voice say, “Please don’t give up on me!” And then about a month ago a woman’s face appeared in my mind for a second. She had a look of weeping/anguish. I could not hear her weeping, but could just see her facial expression. I was grieved in my spirit so I prayed for whoever this person was. Any ideas on all of this?

Jack Wellman August 18, 2014 at 9:17 pm

Brandon…I don’t interpret dreams but maybe they are God’s way of telling us that there is someone that needs to hear the gospel and that they will be eternally separated from God unless they repent and trust in Christ. We know that it is always God’s will that none should perish so there may be some woman out there; a co-worker, your sister, an aunt, a neighbor??// who needs to know that they can be saved and to know ever give up on God for there is no amount of sin that Christ’s blood cannot cover. Not sure otherwise my friend. Thank you.

Brandon August 19, 2014 at 9:12 am

My testimony. I was raised a Southern Baptist. We went to church occasionally and it never interested me. We always went Easter. I was shy and withdrawn growing up, suffering low self esteem, eventually being diagnosed with moderate depression. I first heard the “gospel” while watching televangelists, Billy Graham crusades, etc. Not sure what led me to start watching those people on tv. They mentioned salvation, hell, the “sinner’s prayer.” Well of course I wanted to escape hell, so one night in my bedroom as a teenager I said the sinner’s prayer. I said I was a sinner and asked Jesus into my heart. Days later I would pray before bed every night but it was short lived. I decided to join the church and be baptized. When one becomes a member of the church it is tradition for the pastor and other minister to pay the new “christian” a visit the next day, Monday at their home. So they did. Over time I prayed the prayer again. No change. I met my wife eventually. Depression worsened. I began drinking. Went to a strip club for my 21st birthday as a gift from my son. Me and Sharai, just dating at the time were in fornication. I knew then what we were doing was wrong. I had no desire, love for God. I wasn’t seeking Christ. I drank more and on several occasions got heavily drunk. I was sometimes suicidal. Just depressed and empty. Sharai was noticing these things. She was noticing I was never praying. Never listening to Christian music. Always Country Music. Years after marriage and our son Aiden was a few years old I began to develop a lying tongue. Sharai would constantly tell me our marriage was suffering because of the state of our arguments and my walk with Christ. You see, we both thought I was a Christian but was just having trouble growing. The whole time I was feeling something not right in my spirit about my supposed “salvation.” The pricking on my conscience increased. Sharai would say I would have to leave if things did not change because we were unequally yoked. My lying over the severity of our finances and me hiding it from Sharai hit the fan when we received eviction notices. We were now a hair away from divorce. My conscience was harassing me again until it was as if it FORCED me to give up. One morning around 1 am I was leaving work and out loud in words I cried out in humility and repentance to God. I told him I was no Christian like I thought. I was a sinner and on my way to hell. My lies were going to make me lose everybody in my life. I believed the gospel, in that Jesus took my lies on the cross. He was dead and then God raised Him from the dead. I asked Him to give me assurance I would go to heaven when I die. And now here I am. I received Christ around the beginning of last year and was rebaptized September 15, 2013. Sorry. It didn’t turn out so brief.

Jack Wellman August 19, 2014 at 10:08 am

Praise God Brandon. I don’t care if it wasn’t brief because what you wrote is so important that we all need to see that God’s love never fails and that He never gives up on us…and me included. Thank you brother for your great testimony to the faithfulness and patience of God.

Brandon August 19, 2014 at 11:16 am

Jack, I am so glad it ministered to the brethren here and to those on here that do not know the Lord. I am struggling right now. All I want to do is weep because of it. Not proficient in evangelism like I should be. The love for souls is still there. I want more of Christ and His presence. Not what He can do for me, but because of HIM. I am never satisfied. Want more of His fullness. A few weeks ago at work and in the breakroom me and another Christian were talking to lost associates who were talking about strip clubs. We confronted their sin in love. They were laughing at us. I stood up, passed out tracts, and began preaching the gospel to them. When I left work I wept for them. Lately I haven’t wept before the Lord. I miss that closeness. That feeling His heart. I would rather die than not have this.

Jack Wellman August 19, 2014 at 11:41 am

Brandon…I am so glad that you weep for the lost and that is a great sign for Jesus wept for Jerusalem who rejected Him and like Jeremiah, he wept for the things that break the heart of God. They laugh at Jesus and reject Him and not you. Keep at it. God uses those who seem to think little of themselves just like me. If He can use a train wreck like me, He can use anyone. Here is an article that may help to equip you more (I hope) even though it is designed for families it is useful for everyone at this link:

athena September 8, 2014 at 3:12 pm

Hi jack thank you for your reply it helped a lot, but now i need some advice. I ‘ve had these two dreams where i saw Jesus taking me into the light, the first dream i was praying and these three women broke a chain and people started flying into the light while music was playing. I was flying to but i stopped to say goodbye and then i woke up. The second dream i saw Jesus again and he brought a bright light that was so bright i had to wake up. Does this mean anything? Is there something i shoud do? Thank you

Jack Wellman September 8, 2014 at 4:23 pm

Thank you Athena…it is hard to interpret dreams because we have the whole counsel of God today in the Bible. Before the Bible was put together, God often spoke to His people in dreams and He still can use dreams to try and communicate to us but dreams are so random and we can get mixed signals from them so I cannot even attempt to tell you what God is trying to tell you. There is not gift of dream interpretation that is in the Bible. I would say that it could mean that you are to witness to some women who are currently lost and need to be saved and it takes a witness for Christ to do that and maybe God may be trying to inspire you to do that. Those who are not saved are said to be in bonds of sin and held captive by the god of this world Satan…so maybe that’s what the chains represented. Not sure. Proclaim the good news to any women you know that are not presently saved. It takes a woman of God with the Word of God mixed with the Spirit of God to make children of God for the glory of God. I hope that helps Athena.

God takes every thing from me which I care about over and over. And I have a hard time finding a job .sometimes I just give up looking for one. Would god want me to have little to nothing .it tears me apart to see people with no faith and those who attack people for believing I. Something g they can’t understand. I fi d it so hard to keep my mouth closed when people say awful things about each other but pretend to have high morals later on. Dose god place me in these situation’s just to mess with my head .I was in love with my exgirl friend and one day after praying and pray for long time to just let her be happy she called me and ask me if I would marry her ofcorse I said yes I was ready for that change the. A few weeks later after Quito g my job and getting my stuff packed for the move in with her she told me she changed her mind I was devastated after a year or more I’m still very upset. Feels like a cruel joke . I’ve been mentally destroyed bye this .not to mention the stress level at the time of these where out the roof .taking constant death threat from my uncle and his wife for eating a can of beans when I was starving and taking those issues he had with me to my work place and getting me fired and loosing friends because no one wanted to come over and I was pretty much locked my.self In my nedrrom going days with out eating I thought about there problems more than my own wishing that for some odd reason god would send her back to me. He sorta did
I’m still veryjpset about this .I’m probably going to have to get antianxiety medication and depressions medications . I’ve seen really horrible things as a kid and never really recovered from.that but it pushed me to the faith in god and I pray he has his watch set and I’m ready for change. I wanna help others more than my self which has always put me in this electric chair getting the raw deal of every situation. Even onetime my first day on a job as a dishwasher and a pressure cooker exploded its lid and sprayed these too prep cooks with hot oil and it seemed I was the only one that knew what too do. It was horrible .while everyone watch me cutt this women’s clothes off asking me what i was doing wbe I screamed call a ambulance .why must I be put through the ruff when I already see him .and my sisters house was on fire when we got back to her house and we couldn’t find her bf fearing the worst that he was in the garage where the fire was and not being able to go in due to asthma I went out front and ripped the garage door off the wall like a strong man .I have pictures where the wood blocks had two inches of steel locks holding the door in place but I ripped the wood with them and the firemen who arrived called it retard strength and they never seen it so clearly. I’m I just a tool of faith

Brandon Hooks October 10, 2014 at 1:13 pm

I have been so hungry for the Lord’s presence. I have asked to see His glory. To hear Him speak to me. I have been in tears longing for God so bad. It is lately all I have been desiring. More of HIM. To literally see Him. Why is this happening? My soul groans. I even got troubled reading a post from somebody saying they basically want the God of Hosea as opposed to Moses. Like they were cherry picking His attributes. I even look at my prayer closet and long for my next meeting with God. And then I read the quote from Spurgeon about loving Christ above all things. I mean, I weep out of yearning for Christ. What is wrong with me? What is He doing in me???

Jack Wellman October 10, 2014 at 7:43 pm

Brandon…I am so glad you came her to comment. Let me say that your hunger is a key and vital sign that the Holy Spirit is creating in you a hunger for God. I too deeply desire the day of His visitation my friend. A weeping heart reminds me of Jeremiah whose heart breaks for God and the lost. Charles Spurgeon is one of my all time favorite preachers and this man was fully devoted to Christ. He is tenderizing your heart and maybe it to see those around you who are perishing without Christ. Jeremiah wept because he knew many were headed for destruction. When I look at people, I often do this too because I know that their eternal fate is horrible but it motivates me to witness for Christ in a much more passionate way. Maybe this is what God is trying to tell you my friend. Do this for me and really, more for you. Read this article on how to share your faith. It is about how to do it with family but it is the same method for all people and the way that Jesus did and Paul and Peter too.

Brandon Hooks October 10, 2014 at 7:56 pm

God bless you my friend for your love and zeal for Christ! Secondly, what would you call a person that weeps in prayer, for his sins, for the lost, and just because he is in love with Jesus and yearns to be in God’s presence above everything else? Who also loves God’s Word and plans to find ways to study and memorize scripture with the reason being to know God better and obey His Word? And he also desires to be full of the Holy Ghost and wants to see sinners be saved. What is this person?

Jack Wellman October 10, 2014 at 8:03 pm

This person is a man after God’s own heart for it takes a man of God using the Word of God joined with the Spirit of God to make children of God for the glory of God! Amen? Talk to your pastor and see how you can join the Outreach or Evangelism team and do some street preaching or door to door or nursing home ministry…or….friend, the door of your heart is open to the lost for God to work mightily in you. I wish you were in the church where I am the under-shepherd to the Great Shepherd.

Brandon Hooks October 10, 2014 at 8:25 pm

Jack, great idea! I give out tracts. A month ago me and a friend went to one of the Universities and gave out tracts, and preached. I wanted to open air preach for the first time by reading His Word, and going from there. I shared the gospel and prayed for three gentleman who were students. My other calling is also Intercession I believe, because I have been on my knees and face before God weeping over my own sins, the lost, and the lukewarm church. All I desire it seems is to be on my face or knees in His presence. In that time of Intercession it is like I am being allowed to feel the Father’s heart. And His heart breaks. I must be careful when I street preach, because there are some rogue street preachers who come across as malicious and angry. Paul said if anything we do isn’t motivated out of love we are nothing. I want sinners to go from being enemies of God to being His Bride. You also mentioned you wished I could be part of your church???

Jack Wellman October 10, 2014 at 8:47 pm

Brandon, what I meant is that I pray that we have other men like you in our church that have a heart broken for the lost. Our church is so tiny…I work without a salary. My wife is sick and I have to work two jobs to support us and I am exhausted at times so I would covet your prayers for God help in whatever way best glorifies Him. I have trained a few churches in evangelism and even the one I am pastor of yet I am the only one who goes and it took me 3 years going by myself door to door to cover our city and I started a nursing home Bible study on Weds since they can’t come to church I brought church to them and read them the Word of God. I can witness to the residents, the staff, and the residents family. Its a great outreach. I have to go to bed shortly. I had a 11 hour day today and have not had one day off since Sept. 17 so pray for my strength to hold out. My wife is very sick. Thanks brother.

Brandon Hooks October 16, 2014 at 8:34 pm

Hi, Jack. I spread the gospel which is every Christian’s calling. BUT I am beginning to learn that Intercession is a big calling for me as the Holy Spirit has wept and nearly travail ed in me many times, whether on my face or knees I have wept like a wounded animal. I almost feel it isn’t much of a calling even though that type of intimacy with the Father is my passion. I feel like I am always on my knees when I should be out there.

Jack Wellman October 16, 2014 at 9:24 pm

You can be and should be on your knees before you go out there so you can still do both. Yes, prayer is a great and most vital need for sure but we need such men of prayer in the fields too. You can’t be out there all the time but the fact that you are out there some of the times is still better than 90 to 95% of most Christians.

Brandon Hooks October 16, 2014 at 9:46 pm

Thank you Jack. I value your knowledge! I want the same type of intimacy with God that David and other men and women of God had. He is my greatest pursuit and dream. When I was of the world I had dreams of becoming a writer. Now I just dream of Christ and knowing Him.

Sarah May 2, 2015 at 11:07 am

Hi Jack. I have this problem that bothers me when I don’t do it. When I have to study, I’ll stick with it for a few minutes then I’ll leave it and start thinking about God. Then, sometimes I would cry for the people who don’t open their eyes to look for Him, while I sing praises to Him. Afterwards, my heart would feel weird when I remembered that I have work to do and I am frozen between leaving my worship to God and doing my work to get a good job. If it helps…I’m 15 years old.

Jack Wellman May 2, 2015 at 1:53 pm

Thank you Sarah for your comment. I too cry for those who do not yet see Jesus as their Savior so we must tell them about Him and trust God to save them. As for studying, I see your mind keeps going back to God. Awesome. Then you must be saved? That is, has there been a time where you repented and turn away or forsaken your sins and put your trust in Christ. I would tell your pastor about this. Maybe he’s leading you to be witness for Christ. It doesn’t matter that you are only 15, I see you have a tender heart for the lost and may God richly bless you for that!

Sarah May 2, 2015 at 5:42 pm

Hi Jack and thank you for replying. Yes, I have been saved, but not baptized and I rarely go to church. In my family, I’m the only one who sticks with God and tries to obey His wonderful laws. I would tell them about God, then they would listen for a few minutes or seconds and then they look as though I never spoke about Him to them. It hurts to know that they act “don’t care” and “forgetful” towards God. =(

Jack Wellman May 2, 2015 at 6:02 pm

Thank you Sarah. It hurts even worse when our family members are not saved by don’t give up. God may have placed you among your family to be the one who can point them to Christ. Family are the hardest ones to tell about Christ. Please read this article called “How To Share The Gospel With Family” at: and then let God work in their lives. You can bring it up once and another time much later but you must allow God’s Spirit to work in their lives and by bringing it up often, they might harden their hearts to it. I do suggest you try to find a church close enough to walk to. I am so glad that you care enough about your family to try and tell them the gospel.

Sarah May 2, 2015 at 6:26 pm

Thanks Jack! =) I’ll try my utmost best to tell them and will trust that God shall work in their lives. However, I don’t know what to do with the studying. If I don’t go back to study, I’ll daydream of doing poorly in CXC and it doesn’t make me move to continue it…I just try to forget it and end up praying, crying, singing or dancing to God. Sometimes I ask Him to help me focus and I still end up thinking about Him. What’s wrong with me?!

William May 12, 2015 at 6:16 pm

May I present another picture? The signs enumerated here are strictly speaking not the signs of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. These Bible prophecies are coming to pass in the secular world and so are directed at the unbelievers. They serve two purposes: First, they are telling the secular world ‘your time is up’. Secondly, they are conditioning the unbelievers for judgement, for the more they live the lives foretold in these prophecies, the more they are courting the wrath of God. And when the iniquity of the Amorites is full, then the judgement will fall. They are therefore signs of the last days i.e. of the end of the world. The end of the world will impact on the unbelievers (the secular world). These prophecies are not conditioning the believer for the Rapture. On the contrary, they grieve the believer as was the case with Lot in Sodom.
So we need to search the Scriptures to find out whether or not there are prophecies that are to come to pass in the church (the Bride of Christ) to get her ready for the Rapture. Logically, Bible prophecies that are relevant to the Rapture and the Second Coming get fulfilled within the framework of the church. The Bible says Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. A study of the First Coming of Jesus Christ shows that numerous OT prophecies were fulfilled prior to the manifestation of the Messiah on earth. The Messiah was manifested when John the Baptist announced ‘Behold the lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world’. The prophecies preceding that event were fulfilled among believers: Zechariah, Elizabeth, Mary, Simeon, Ana, the Shepherds, the three Wise Men and John the Baptist. The mainstream religious movements (Pharisees, Sadducees etc.) were completely oblivious to what was going on or worse, did not want to know and reacted with hostility. Could it repeat in our day?

Hello and the Lord bless all of you whom I visited on this site just now. Yes, I am new here, but after reading much of the testimonies all of you shared, I feel the Lord is leading me to join. I was saved nearly 39 years ago, Sept. 10, 1978. For several years prior to my salvation experience, I had been a bagpiper. I played at Scottish games and won some awards, but it was all about me, not about the Lord. A few days after He saved me, He told me that He wanted me to keep playing, and to be His Piper. Recently, His Spirit impressed on me to make CD tracts entitled Amazing Grace, containing a sound clip from one of my Sacred Pipes albums, and a printed story of John Newton who wrote that hymn. Lately I have slacked off on reproducing this tract to hand to people, and now am convicted of this failure, and want to trust my Lord to keep me at it. You brethren are right about our need to share our faith with the unsaved, and this is the very thing in which I must be consistent. Thank all of you and above all, our Saviour, for this post.

I REALLY do appreciate you typing these! It’s sad to say MOST all people are confused and blind. The government and Satan do not want people to know the truth! So they mask it with truth, and they are none the wiser. WAKE UP PEOPLE! This “Book” predicts everything that is going on in today’s world that was NOT going on at the time nor ever heard of!! All the future’s information is in the Bible! PLEASE READ!

I find myself reading about the Antichrist and thinking about how far I’ve gotten away from God. In 2005 I had found what I felt was truly my calling. I have always worshipped at home with music. Musical family 5 siblings and all play and sing but I was the one always in the corner never wanting to be seen. I began working with a small youth group and eventually starred worship with them and became at ease and every aspect of this grew. I was consumed by gathering lessons and working with this group. They were so awesome and became more and more on fire. The kids opened up to me about a lot of things and we prayed togerher! My friends step daughter would come to me about her dad and their strained relationship. I always remained neutral and told her to just keep praying and God would heal it in time. I never passed judgment or repeated anything! Dad became paranoid that I was judging him and I assured him that I held no judgement and I realized how teenagers can be with parents , hate them one minute and love them the next and I took everything with a grain of salt. After this, I told my pastor I wanted a break and he discouraged it but I backed off anyway. The youth group began to decline and that very family came to me pleading for me to come back. I said no and gave them my reason. This very girl fell out of church, got pregnant and had a beautiful girl. She is now married with a second child and I now see her posts on Facebook. She is serving the Lord and I’m so happy. My church attendance declined right after that and my dad passed away from cancer after losing their home in Katrina. We went through some tough times and I watched the biggest church goers in the family basically ignore my mother. It has broken her heart. She has 6 kids and I have been her sole support. I suppose I have become bitter. The biggest Church goer, playing music etc in the church treats her church family better than my mom. Her land adjoins hers and she may see her 2 times a year. We are called to take care of widows and orphans. My mom is a widow and if being a mom isnt enough the widow should be. Her pastor told her that her family is evil because mom and some of us don’t attend a church. I feel the Lord tugging at me but I don’t want to get caught up in a hurtful fake church scene. Everytime she says something about the Lord I think how can you claim to be a Christian and hurt your mother everyday by ignoring her. I haven’t been back to church since Aug ,2006. I just can’t bring myself to do it. I have to look for new church all over again. My dad’s death really did a number on our family and the most highly proclaimed Christians in the family made it worse. Our family will never be healed. My mom is 75 years old and it hurts me to see her sad. They will all want to try to be family if something happens to mom but I haved decided if they can’t honor mom now by being a family I’ll have no part of it if she passes away. I’ll never be able to even think about yielding to Gods s voice as long as I feel this way. I know Jesus would forgive, I will never get There so I suppose I’m doomed. The only thing I know to do is pray for the want to , to want to.

Pray to God that He would help you focus…just keep at it. Find a private or secluded area. I don’t know what else to tell you. I am sorry. I will pray for you about this Sarah. Nothing is wrong with you… you have a heart for God! That’s all.
