Thank you pastor Jack for this article.

As Revelation ends:

Yes, come, Lord Jesus.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with all the saints. Amen.

(And maybe we should remind ourselves of Luke 17:32)

Remember Lot’s wife!

When I read Matthew 24, it tells me that it could be at any moment. The question is; will I live like it?

Pamela Rose Williams December 15, 2015 at 12:45 pm

AMEN Jim, Looking forward and not back, all the time being the salt of the earth, but not literally! 🙂

A pertinent topic Pastor Jack!

I believe that there is a huge difference between those who call themselves Muslims and those who practice Islam. Just as I believe there is a similar(though not as extreme) difference between those who call themselves Christians and those who practice Christianity.

As a good example of this you write, “Christians share the gospel with everyone and remind the lost that their sins need to be repented of including drunkenness, theft, homosexuality, adultery, and other sins listed that God has declared He will judge (Rev 21:8)” I do not believe that is the case with the majority of those who call themselves Christians. Now, that is what we, as Christians are supposed to do, but who does it? Maybe 2-3% of Christians…maybe.

Same deal with Muslims. As you have stated, maybe 2-3% of Muslims are ISIS. IMO, those are the true believers. Those are the ones who are literally carrying out the mandates of Mohammed as detailed in the Koran. I have read the Koran. I know what it says. Islam is not a religion of peace. Now that does not mean there are not law abiding, peaceful Muslims. It just means that they are not acting out what their faith(Islam) tells them to do. Do you see that distinction? So when the news commentators tell you that Islam is a religion of peace because, “look at all of the peaceful Muslims”, they are muddying the water. Sure there are plenty of peaceful Muslims, but Islam is anything but peaceful if you follow the teachings of Mohammed.

BTW, religious leaders including current Pope Francis are deceiving the world when they proclaim that, “the Koran, and the spiritual teachings contained therein, are just as valid as the Holy Bible.” That is blasphemy. The pope went on to say, ““Jesus Christ, Jehovah, Allah. These are all names employed to describe an entity that is distinctly the same across the world”. Really? Ignorance or deception? Here is a rather lengthy commentary regarding the origins of Islam.

http://www.british-israel.ca/Islam.htm#.VnSO7RUrJqw

The conclusion of the author is summarized with, “Islam is a violent religion and it allows the use of aggressive violence to spread its dominion over non-Muslims. The war that Muhammad launched long ago continues, but the stakes are getting higher. America, Europe, and other nations, will continue to be adversely affected by the actions of real Muslims – those that are obeying their god and prophet….Jesus said “the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service” (John 16:2).”

So true Doc. Jesus is the one and only way (Acts 4:12) and Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, not a way, a truth or a life (John 14:6). I need not even ask the question as to whether the pope and others are right because they both cannot be right. Yes, only a minority are terrorists, they are right, but the deadliest viruses are a minority too.

A description of a terrorist group very similar to ISIS (or may be ISIS) appears in the book of the prophet Habakkuk

Hab 1:5 “Look out at the nations and pay attention! (even the great powers are under attack of ISIS)

Be astounded! Be really astounded! Because something is happening in your lifetime that you won’t believe, even if it were described down to the smallest detail. (That a really small army, compared to the mighty armies of the world powers are under attack of them)

Hab 1:6 Watch out! For I am bringing in the Chaldeans, (Babylonians, or Irak. The founder of ISIS is from Irak and most of the warriors)

that cruel and impetuous people, (the way they kill the enemies, even Alqaeda don’t support the method they use to kill)

who sweep across the earth dispossessing people from homes not their own. (different cities of Syria and Irak, imposing sharia law, taxes, raping women, displacing people if they don’t attach to their ideology etc)

Hab 1:7 They are terrible and fearsome; (the most barbaric group in the present time)

their brand of justice and sense of honor derive only from themselves! (they apply their own version of justice, their own interpretation of the Islam, their sense of honor as they consider themselves the defenders of the Islam and his prophet)

Hab 1:8 Their horses are swifter than leopards, and more cunning than wolves that attack at night. (the method they use to conquer cities against Middle East armies combined with world power armies)

Their horsemen are galloping as they approach from far away. (the warriors come from all over the world, different nationalities)

They swoop in like ravenous vultures. (they know the purpose of the trip, to conquer or die

Hab 1:9 “They all come to oppress—hordes of them, their faces pressing onward—they take prisoners as numerous as the desert sand! (entire cities become their prisoners)

Hab 1:10 They make fun of kings, deriding those who rule. (they laugh of president Obama, Putin and the other world powers leaders, all combined. They don’t care about their mighty armies and weapons)

They laugh at all of the fortified places, constructing ramps to seize them. (They don’t care if is the White House or any other important building in the world, like the attack in 9/11, they have plans to destroy entire nations)

Hab 1:11 Then like the wind sweeping by they will pass through (at my opinion, they will never be defeated, their plan is to show the world who they are, what are capable to do, and very soon they will disperse, everyone their own way, like a passing wind who cause destruction in the world. One of this months, every city conquered will return to their normal lives, nobody’s going to know who was a ISIS warrior, except their top leaders, and again they will laugh about the kings of the earth.

—they’re guilty because they say their power is their god.” (no matter how they interpret the Islam, they are guilty in God’s eyes, and also the world’s eyes)
I think ISIS is the perfect description of Habakkuk 1

If you’re good doing videos, I would like your help making one to upload it in YouTube. You can use short video clips, pictures, news articles etc. It would be appreciated.
