A tough topic and excellent explanation. I like how you explained “who God foreknew He did predestine.” It wasn’t that God made us predestined, it is that He knew beforehand our choices and by knowing that information… He predestined. That opens up the whole can of worms on free will, but I believe the two ideas exist well side by side. God allowing us our choice and simply knowing what that choice is/(will be).

Thank you,

It’s a very powerful message that has taught me what is being chosen by God means with different scriptures from the Bible . Thanks

So i am correct, in saying, I can say, study, pray, churches, beg, plead, stomp my foot…no matter how Sincere I may Feel, God could still send me to hell??! Why bother?? Why does no one else see that as evil??

Jack Wellman July 13, 2019 at 12:29 pm

Whosover may come to Jesus will be saved. We are chosen, but this also means God grants those chosen repentance (Acts 5:31,Acts 11:18,2 Timothy 2:25). If you see this as evil, think about this; God could not have chosen anyone and still be just as we deserve God’s wrath for sinning. You nor do I have any excuse to deny His existence (Psalm 19:1-2; Rom 1:18-22). Why bother? Because you will be saved. I sense you are bitter about this. Have you been saved? I pray you are since you seem to be angry at God and churches and just about everything else too. I pray you repent of this bitterness, or you will not see the kingdom!

I disagree with you as Jesus will NEVER reject those who are sincere with him. You can go to heaven if you study, pray, go to church, beg, plead, stomp your foot but he will look at your heart. If you are at church and look as if you are paying attention, but really you’re thinking about something else, when you stand before God he will confront you with these thoughts. It’s all about the heart. If your heart is heavy with sin, go wash it off in confession. The lord gave confession as an opportunity for salvation.

Hello Anonymous & thank you for your comment. I have never written anywhere in this article that Jesus will never reject those who are sincere with Him. Where did this come from? It was not from me. Only those who repent and believe will be saved, and that means, they genuinely trust in Christ and believe what He says and the Bible says. It is not all about the heart. Jesus said we must repent and believe and identified that as the gospel (Mark 1:15-16). Please study this a bit better because we cannot be saved by works but only by grace through faith in Christ.

God judges the Heart. He gave his life for all the other sins. You love him sincerely from your heart and repent then you shall be saved.

Jesus says i am the way the truth and the life. No man cometh to the LORD but by ME!!!Anyone that puts his trust, faith and repents from his sin and ask God to SAVE HIM HE WILL 100% of the time!!!!

Jack Wellman January 20, 2020 at 10:59 am

This is true sir….but no man can come to the God unless He draws them through Jesus Christ (John 6:44). Read Eph 1. God had an election and the vote was 1 – 0 and only God voted. Dead men cannot choose God (Eph 2:1-5).

Joyce CANLAPAN July 12, 2021 at 2:18 pm

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

I would like to share that….

I saw GOD THE FATHER in my dream – May 2018.

“I have seen GOD THE FATHER, who saved me from three demons in my dream and these demons attacked me and wanted to burn my soul because they hated me for sharing THE HOLY WORDS OF GOD everyday.

GOD has protected me and took me away from the three demons and placed me on HIS BIG RIGHT HAND. (Bigger than tall buildings. GOD’S RIGHT HAND was surrounded by a very white bright light and sky blue light.)

GOD has chosen me to share the HOLY WORDS OF GOD every day. ”

I share this for the GLORY OF GOD.

Jack Wellman July 12, 2021 at 2:30 pm

Hello Joyce. I am glad you want to share the Word of God with the lost. I desire that more believers would. As for being at God the Father’s right hand, that place is preserved only for the Son of God, which Scripture reveals sits at the right hand of the Father right now. Now let’s you and I go serve our King!

JOYCE CANLAPAN July 13, 2021 at 12:27 am

hello Jack Wellman. You’ve misunderstood the dream i had with GOD THE FATHER. Please read it well again. I never said that i am GOD’s Right hand. What i said was GOD THE FATHER protected me and took me away from the three demons and place me on his BIG RIGHT HAND. (because here you can’t see the image of my dream with GOD THE FATHER.) You can see it on Paris, France group in Facebook. Just the image, you will understand

Jack Wellman July 13, 2021 at 10:09 am

I will check it out. I am sorry for my misunderstanding Joyce. Thank you. I see what you are saying now.

I was always taught that if you repented and asked Jesus to come into your heart and believed in Him that you were saved. Of course reading the Bible and going to church and giving back goes along with it. Then my brother comes along after 45years of believing this and throws me a bomb and said God chooses you. But, he believes in going to other countries to mission to them. I asked him what would be the point? If God picks you then they will automatically go to heaven right? I don’t get it. Please help me understand as this has changed me and not in a good way.

Jack Wellman November 30, 2021 at 4:16 pm

Hello Diane. If you read Eph 1 and Romans 8, you will see that God has chosen us from before the foundation of the world. Your brother is right. Isn’t this a good thing to know?
