I know of someone who is very close to my heart, that I feel has made nature an idol, and I know there is scripture, that says we will not find GOD, JESUS, in nature, even though HE did create it. But this person thinks that when going for a walk alone and yes praying, but will not go to church, as nature is church, and GOD is there.. Where is scripture to back me on this? Or am I wrong?

Hello Della. I think Heb 10:24-25 is good but Romans 12 and 1 Cor 13 show that we cannot serve God isolation as there are over 100 one anothers in the Bible. No believer in the New Testament was ever out of fellowship with the church, the Body of Christ, so you are not wrong. We are not to forsake the assembling of ourselves and ask him what is it about church he doesn’t like. He wants to love God but not be around God’s children?!

I don’t go to church for music,i have been a musician most of my life and can easily lay music aside when I go to a church but I’m amazed at how important some people think it is.

What are your thoughts on anime figures? A year ago I was freed from demonic possession and told that anime wAs bad for me, god told me that the figures I had I actually idolised, so I had to get rid of all of them, I’m now struggling with my love for crafting in the form of figures, I have no real attachment to the figures themselves other then they’re pretty and I’ve learnt a lot since then, the desire to adore them isn’t there anymore, but my parents are so worried about it all that we keep fighting, I’ve been told my god to meditate and wait, but I’m afraid my parents won’t understand and will just jump to, figures are evil and will lead to evil spirits

What are your thoughts?

Hello Rachel. Since you are still under your parents care, I would do as they ask. they have more years of wisdom and experience in these things. I believe that you should do as they say and just wait until you get older and they will trust you with your decisions. For now, part of honoring our father and mother is doing what they ask and not arguing. God is most pleased with this.

Hi. I’ve been struggling with a need for recognition, academic pursuits and technology for years. This message has enlightened and taught me and I need your prayers so that I can be free from these things and pursue God.

Anything that we put back for “just in case” is an idol and we deny God by doing this because He has promised to provide for all of our needs. Simple things like carrying a gas can, extra water or food on a trip. We all have truly profaned the name of God and have broken His heart by not believing Him and His word. When He speaks of knocking down all the mountains and shattering the power of the holy people He is speaking of idols. When the bank account goes, we cannot buy or sell, those who do not know how to fully depend on the Lord will not do well. Truly, the idols are us living in unbelief…the oil to keep the lamp burning will be acquired by turning from the idols and asking the Lord to return to us…the woman in the wilderness is no picnic but the way to salvation as we heed the call of the Lord into the wilderness and through the valley of a hot.
