You forgot one of my favorite scriptures, Proverbs 30:7-9, which reads: “Two things I asked of You, do not refuse me before I die: Keep deception and lies far from me, give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is my portion, that I not be full and deny You and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’ Or that I not be in want and steal, and profane the name of my God”.

I’ve used this to remind myself to be content with God gives me. I just ask God to provide me with what I need to serve Him and spread the Good News about His son Jesus.

With regards to your first verse … Timothy didn’t say any of those things. The apostle Paul said them in his letter to Timothy.

wonderful verses to wake up modern people who are ploughing themselves in dumping themselves with money and possessions just to be content but without Jesus.
