Everytime I set out to get near to the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior it starts out well then
My mind collapses. Talk about hopeless. This will be most likely my last run at it cause of my age. I feel desperate. I went on for a few years then three depressions in three years back to back.I am sad and terrified.this last time was so real and then it turns sour for no reason. No comments makes sense.

Dear Jim,

I’ve prayed for you. Keep reaching out to God. Not because we are anything or can do anything to bribe Him into doing our will, but because He has revealed Himself as merciful to wretched and broken sinners like us, if we repent and trust in His Son. He promises to let Himself be found if we seek Him.
