Hi Pastor Jack,

Great article. I have been burn by words and I have burnt people with them too. Like you say, sometimes the tongue reacts before we can put a leash or a sock on it. Sometimes it takes a couple seconds to stop yourself. That happened to me yesterday. Someone I love dearly gave me what I thought was bad attitude. And I was ready to let my tongue lose and hurt the person. But then I thought, what for. And I thank the Lord for giving me those extra seconds. The outcome would have been bad for both. Nobody wins and regret usually follows when the tongue lashes out before the brain process everything.

So good to hear from you Carmen. I can do a lot of things but controlling my tongue is not one of them. Those “extra seconds” can mean so very much my friend. Great observations.

Thank you so much brother Jack for this message.
I always enjoy reading from the so many articles that you wrote, you write with so much compassion and humbleness.
You don’t correct but you guide with love from the Holy Spirit.
When I read your messages I don’t feel convicted but guided.
I’m 62 and never will end learning, well none of us.
God bless you and your family Sir.

Dear Past. Jack,
I am so blessed with those verses. Please,I have a website energyfortress.com but last month it was closed because i did not renew it.I have problem with the person who registered it for me.Please, how do i pay to the real people that own the hosting right other than through the person who registered it for me because i feel he is cheating me with exorbitant renewal fee.Thank you

Thank you Job but I don’t know the answer to your question “pay to the real people that own the hosting right other than through the person who registered it?” I am only the writer and not the owner. You can also change domains like more open ones, perhaps cheaper ones like energyfortress.net or energyfortress.tv, etc. Have you been to Godaddy.com/ Or was that who you have already tried? I wish I could be more help my friend.

Thank you Mr. Wellman. I used your scripture and commentary today on taming the tongue for my devotion. I have said some very insensitive and hurtful things lately and this really resonated with me. I will now be making more of an effort to seek God before I speak.

Thank you my sister in Christ. We must all battle this daily. May God richly bless your walk with Christ in this life.

i don’t know how many times, i’ve denied being a christian. Just to seem popular at my public school. I have gotten out of control with my tongue, many times and getting punished for it.. I try so hard to not to but i always do, i have been praying about, and trying to control my tongue, and i hope i do.I also have been looking up verses to help with it but what i need is stregth from God. But what i really hope for is not to denie being a christian, i always seem to care about what others think about me, and be too afraid to say im a christian. But after reading the verse James 1:26 i think that im going to try to not denie being a christian. I just need prayer to control my tongue and not denie being a Christian.
