Pastor Jack,

I agree that John chapter 10 is such an uplifting chapter.

For a favorite verse, when going through tough times, it has personally been John 6:20 when Jesus walked upon the stormy seas to the disciples who were terrified by the storm, let alone the appearance of what they thought, at first, was a ghost. Jesus’s voice boomed out over the waves,

“…It is I; be not afraid.”

I have squeezed my pocket Bible many times in my life with that verse running through my mind.

Thank you for this timely article and the encouragement!

Thank you my friend. I battled back and forth between John chapter 6 and 10 so your verse (6:20) is one that is comforting in this day and age. I appreciate your encouragement as always my good friend.

Our family is going through a tough time right now, we are living in a foreign land and somehow the processing of our permits is taking so much time. My husband and I remain in prayer and hopeful that God will come through for us.

I am praying for you at this moment NN, that God will create straight paths before you and that His Will for your lives will be accomplished without any delay from the enemy. May you be encouraged and refreshed at this moment in time through the working of the Holy Spirit within you. God loves you.

Thanx for these references. Over the years I have come to know the bible quite well…very much so. Now…I am going through very difficult times and I open my Bible looking for help…with an “SOS”…911…type of feeling and nothing seems to be there. Need prayer for my family on many fronts….My son, my wife, and I….just want to crawl into my father’s lap and rest….feel his arms around me. Thanx for this jump start….please pray for us…any one….pray hard core….thanx. GOD BLESS YOU.

I just want to thank you so much for the encouragement! My children, granddaughter and I are struggling right now with some pretty serious family issues. The enemy is trying to attack us but he has no authority here, in the name of Jesus! I know the Lord will take care of us all, I’m just trying to stay strong through these storms. Thank you again for the amazing work that you do for the Lord! This is a great source hope and of strength to me and others. God bless you and your family.
