Superb scriptures again to reinforce our motivation my friend. I just needed this today since we have been going out into our own mission field in our community, going door-to-door. May the Holy Spirit go before us, with us, and work after we are gone that those who have heard the gospel will have the stony heart pierced by the light of the glorious love of God in Jesus Christ.

Yes! Thank you! I needed a quote for my mission trip to Kentucky! These were exactly what I needed to hear! God Bless

These verses seemed very old and out of date in the KJV. Can you quote them in a more modern language too?

David Peach July 15, 2012 at 9:05 pm

Ross, thank you for your comment. What modern language would you like me to quote these in? Esperanto? 🙂

But seriously, I found a great tool for looking at verses in many translations at one time. Go to Bible.cc and put in the verse reference. You can see the verse in nearly 20 different translations at one time.

I hope that helps!

I have recently been appointed Missions president in my small, humble church in Richmond, Texas.
I would like to revive our members in the importance of Missions work and I need guidance in how to get them involved and active in the community.
I would like a copy of 15 questions christians want to know.
Thanks much for your help,
Gloria Garcia

I loved this! My favorite verse “… Here I am; send me.” Isaiah 6:8
I am going on my second mission trip in June, to Guatemala! The last several months my heart hadn’t been in the right place but I am back in church regularly, using my talents/gifts for God and have turned my life back to the Lord, but wanted some tips on how to further prepare my heart for this trip. I have now ordered a journaling bible, will be beginning with some of these beautiful verses, and will then be at least be studying john, proverbs, job, and isaiah before my trip. Prayers appreciated!
