Empires rose with iron hands,
And kings proclaimed their proud commands;
Yet saints still gathered, prayers on winds,
the Church always wins.
In catacombs by candlelight,
Believers worshiped through the night;
Though threatened, hunted for their sins,
the Church always wins.
The lions roared, the prisons filled,
The mighty thought God’s people stilled;
But faith endured where fear begins,
the Church always wins.
[2]“and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” Mt 16:18b
Through countless wars and raging flames,
Through slander cast upon His name,
Love lit the dark where hope grows thin,
the Church always wins.
When tyrants burned the sacred Word,
And truth was silenced, mocked, unheard,
Its message lived in hearts within,
the Church always wins.
Though kingdoms fall and monuments fade,
Though every earthly power decays,
Christ’s people rise again and then,
the Church always wins.
The world has tried with doubt and scorn,
Declaring faith a thing outworn;
Yet new disciples still begin,
the Church always wins.

Not made of stone or stained-glass walls,
But every soul who hears and calls;
The living saints, redeemed from sin,
the Church always wins.
For Christ declared the gates of hell
Would never over His people prevail;
His promise stands where time has been,
the Church always wins.
And when the final trumpet sounds,
When heaven’s King is crowned and crowned,
The faithful gathered home with Him,
the Church always wins.
Conclusion
I pray you have put your trust in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. If that has not happened yet, my friend, you are in real danger of hell fire. And I mean, in immediate danger. You’re one breath, one heartbeat…one accident away from eternity when it will be too late to repent. Today is the best day to believe (2 Cor 6:2) since tomorrow is no guarantee. If Jesus Christ came today, here is your fate (Matt 7:21-23). This is why I plead with you as you read this, repent today…and I mean right now. Put your trust in Jesus Christ. If you do not, you will face God’s judgment after death guaranteed (Heb 9:27) or at Jesus Christ’s appearance (Rev 20:12-15), which could happen at any moment.
