30 Short Bible Verses To Inspire Your Life

One of the many reasons that people turn to the Scriptures is to be inspired to live for God.  Think for a minute with me about the Bible…it is many words written over many years by many different human authors (of course guided by the Holy Spirit) and yet when we read the Bible it is inspiring and encouraging even though it deals with so many hard and difficult topics.  Only God could talk about things like lust, evil, adultery, malice, greed, etc. and still write in such a way that deep down we know the words of this text are there to help us and not to cast judgment.  God’s word is truly amazing.

Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
