Great KJV Bible Verses About Earth

by Pamela Rose Williams · Print Print · Email Email

God created the Earth and put man on it to take care of it. When He was finished with His creation He said that it was very good (Genesis 1:31). The Bible has lots to say about the land and the earth and how beautiful the creation is. Take a look at some of my favorite KJV Bible verses about earth.

God Created the Earth and Everything On it

Genesis 1:1 – In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Genesis 2:1-25 – Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

Job 12:7-9 – But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?

Isaiah 40:26 – Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these [things], that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that [he is] strong in power; not one faileth.

Isaiah 65:17 – For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

John 1:3 – All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Colossians 1:16-17 – For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Great KJV Bible verses about earth

God Charged Man to Take Care of the Earth

Genesis 1:26 – And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Genesis 1:28 – And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Genesis 2:15 – And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

Numbers 35:33 – So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye [are]: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.

The Earth Declares The Goodness and Existence of The Creator

Psalms 19:1 – The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Psalms 24:1 – The earth [is] the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Psalms 33:5 – He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

Psalms 50:2 – Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.

Psalms 104:1-35 – Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.

Romans 1:20-21 – For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

1 Corinthians 2:9 – But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Final Thoughts

How wonderful is it to meditate upon the Earth that God created for His glory! He created the Earth and everything on it. He gave man the responsibility to take care of the Earth. And every time we reflect upon the glory and the beauty of the Earth we see the goodness and proof of the Creator.
