Call On God For Help In Desperate Times

by Jack Wellman · Print Print · Email Email

What can we do when we are in desperate situations?  Can we call on God? Can we depend on God?  Can we trust in God?

These are sobering times that we live in today.  Many people have lost jobs and can’t find one.  Others are underemployed and are just barely making it.  The unemployment rate is soaring, the stock market is highly volatile, and famine is spreading worldwide.  Families are losing their homes due to failed mortgages.  There are severe droughts, floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, and tornadoes.  And with turmoil going on in the world people are becoming desperate; even the people of God.  What can we do when our backs are against the wall and we have no where to turn and we are in serious trouble?

God actually desires that we be utterly dependent upon Him and that we are in desperate need of His help.  Think of a human father.  What good father would not want his children to turn to him when they need help?  Naturally, a father loves it when his children come to him to seek help.  There is something special about having someone there for you.  God is this true source and He is more reliable than any human father or mother.

God Says Call on Me For Help

God truly loves those that are His.  He loves you!  Listen to what God says for those who are in desperate situations and what He promises when they call upon Him:

Psalm 50:15and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”

Psalm 91:14-16 “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.  He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

Psalm 145:18-20The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.”

Isaiah 41:17The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the LORD will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.”

Isaiah 55:1, 3Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.”

Isaiah 65:24Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.”

Jeremiah 33:3Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

Micah 7:7But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.”

God Says You Can Depend On Me

God wants us to depend on Him and not rely on ourselves.  God is our Father and we are His children. Children can not make it in this world without their parents.  How much more so can we not make it without the help of our Heavenly Father?  If we try to solve our problems by our self then we can really do nothing to ultimately solve them. God is actually more glorified in our weakness because by His strength He is able to display His might.  He stands ever ready, able, and willing to help us when we really need it but we must first acknowledge of our need for His help.  We truly find freedom from worry when we learn to depend upon God.  Read for yourself:

John 15:5 ““I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

Philippians 2:13for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.”

1 Peter 5:7Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. “

Matthew 28:20bAnd surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 6:25-27  “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?  Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?  Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”

Matthew 6:30-31  “If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?  So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?”

Romans 4:20-21Yet he [Abraham] did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,  being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.”

Philippians 4:19And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

God Says You Can Trust in Me

Our money says “In God We Trust” but it is hard to trust when everything seems to be caving in around us.  Nothing looks like it will turn out right.  At times there is no evidence that God is even with us so how can we trust in Him during calamitous times?  In reality, we can sometimes not even trust our eyes…but if there is anything in this universe you can trust, it is God Almighty.  It is the invisible hand that is placed in ours that never lets go.  Like a parent holding their child‘s hand, God is securely caring for us, never letting us slip or fall:

Isaiah 41:13For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear; I will help you.”

Proverbs 28:26 “Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe.”

Jeremiah 17:5-7This is what the LORD says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the LORD. That person will be like a bush in the wastelands; they will not see prosperity when it comes. They will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives. “But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.”

Psalm 32:7You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.”

Jeremiah 32:27 I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Psalm 36:7 “How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!  People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.”

2 Corinthians 1:20 “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.”

2 Peter 1:4aThrough these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature.”

1 Chronicles 28:20 “David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished.”

When everything seems to be falling in around us, when the walls seem to be closing in on us, when nothing in our world or in this world seems to hold any hope, when everything looks completely hopeless, just remember that God is not ever caught by surprise. He will save those who are His from calamity (Heb 7:25).  He isn’t ever going to abandon us, forsake us, or leave us.  If you are not one of His then you do not have such hope nor can you claim any of His mighty promises.   I pray right now that you seek Him because anyone who seeks Him He has said He can be found.  As it is written in Isaiah 55:6 “Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.”  Second Corinthians 6:2 says, “For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.  I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”  Tomorrow may be too late but it not too late right now to put your complete trust in Him, to depend on Him, to call on Him.  This is my prayer for you.  Please contact us if you make such a decision.

Hi jack, I am really stuck up in a bad situation. I have been looking for a job and tier2 work permit. I tried every thing but nothing seems to work. I am running out if time too I have only 2 weeks left to find a sponsor for my job. I am getting more depressed thinking about what I am going to do after these 2 weeks. I couldn’t even imagine, so my only hope is god so could you plz plz plz pray for me to god and request him to shower his blessing on me so that I could find a job and work permit. Thank you

Jack Wellman August 1, 2014 at 10:34 pm

Rajesh…I will pray for you. Have you contacted your local church yet? Talk to your pastor about this. Have you done this already? If not, why not. Churches are there to help fellow believes in the Body of Christ, the church.

Rajesh August 2, 2014 at 5:25 pm

I haven’t been to a church but I have been to a prayer conducted by a couple of my Christian friends. They prayed for me and told me that I will get an interview call in a week time and I will get a job. It’s been more than 2 weeks but nothing has happened. This is making me feel more depressed. I still believe in a miracle of god and am just waiting for it.

Jack Wellman August 2, 2014 at 5:51 pm

I will join with these Christian friends. Why have you not been to a church my friend? Is there something you don’t like about church? Churches have many believers who can pray for you all at the same time, they have resources, they know many people who attend who are employers, and Jesus said that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church that He built so we need the church and they need one another, right?

Rajesh August 2, 2014 at 6:11 pm

Thank you for your quick reply. Well I am a Hindu, while I was talking about my job to a consultant he told me that there is nothing we can do as you got only limited time. Then he said I know a friend of mine who lives in your city he prays to Jesus and he could tell you how it goes and he said his friends predictions would be accurate. So I rang his friend and he asked me if I am free. I said yeah then he asked me if I would like to join a prayer I said yeah and he came picked me up. He took me to a house where there are already 15-20 people who are ready to pray and they do this every week and I joined them and prayed.

Jack Wellman August 2, 2014 at 6:30 pm

I apologize sir…I didn’t realize that you didn’t have access to a local church. I assumed you were in a place that had churches and so I am so sorry for that. You did the right think. I will pray with these other believes and pray that God opens a door for you. Are you a practicing Hindu sir? Was there ever a time when you repented of your sins and trusted in Christ? Do you even know what this means my friend. Again, I am sorry for my mistake and not knowing where you were. As for this man that knows makes predictions, God does not approve or allow this for us to do but again, you probably didn’t know this either. Are you just now learning about Jesus Rajesh?

Rajesh August 2, 2014 at 6:14 pm

Forgot to answer your above question regarding if there is anything that I don’t like about church. I don’t have any such feeling and I respect everyone’s beliefs. Thank you

Rajesh August 2, 2014 at 6:43 pm

Yes sir I practice Hinduism and I am just getting to know much about Christianity now. But I know about Christianity as a kid because I did my schooling in a missionary school where we were taught by nuns whom we call sisters. It’s alright sir You don’t have to apologise and you know I am in just one of those phase where nothing is in my hands anymore and it’s only in the hands of god to make things happen to me. So I started believing in Jesus when I have heard he would answer our prayers. I even promised them that I will give a testimony in a church once I find a job and work visa. Thank you

Jack Wellman August 2, 2014 at 7:20 pm

Rajesh…I am so very happy you came here to this website sir. If you want to know more about Jesus and Who He is, please read this link: and I pray that you come to know Him and can receive eternal life through Him Who alone can give you what you really need. Thank you Rajesh.

What does it mean to be born again? (John 3: 3-8)

The Lord Jesus made it clear that unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. He says that unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3: 3-8). Now, what does it mean to be born of water and the Spirit? When we speak of water and the Spirit, we speak of being born of the word of God and the Holy Spirit. Water in this verse does not speak of baptism but it is symbolic of the word of God (Ephesians 5:26 and 27). The bible tells us time and again that we are born of the word of God (1Peter 1:23) and the Holy Spirit. This happens in this way: we hear the word of God, which is the gospel of Jesus Christ, when we accept it and believe it in our hearts and confess the Lordship of Christ in our lives, The Holy Spirit gives birth to us in our spirits. He does this by removing the sin nature that was in our spirits before we received Christ, then He gives us a nature that is exactly like God’s nature in our human spirits. This work happens immediately when we confess Jesus as Lord and savior according to Romans 10; 9.

Further explanation of the new birth:

Before we accept the Lord Jesus Christ in to our lives, we are identified with Adam from our first birth. When our parents gave birth to us physically, we are born with a sin nature in our spirits. With our first birth, we are likened or identified to Adam in his sin and its Judgment because we were still connected with the first man, Adam. (Romans 5:14-16)(Ephesians 2:1-4). When we are born physically during our first birth from our earthly parents, our spirits are dead because of the sin nature that we are born with. Spiritual death means being separated from God. But when we accept the Lord Jesus Christ in to our lives, we are born again in our spirits. This means that we are brought to life in our spirits, which means that we are reconciled to God because of accepting the Lord Jesus Christ in our lives. Once we have believed in the Lord Jesus and confessed him with our mouths as Lord and savior, we are given the nature that is like that of God in our spirits, and we are put right with God through Jesus Christ and we become the very sons and daughters of God indeed (Galatians 3:26, John 1:10-14). When we are born again, we are likened or identified to the Lord Jesus Christ in his resurrection and his life. We are made Sons of God indeed through this second birth. ‘The word born again, saved, justified, made righteous mean one and the same thing. When we become children of God through the new birth, we get saved from God`s wrath and judgment and we are delivered from sin and its penalty, which include death, sickness, poverty, curses etc.

If you have not yet accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, and you would love to accept him now, then pray the prayer that I have written below at the end of this teaching. Confess it with your mouth, believing in your heart and then you will be born again. All you need to do is to believe in God the right way. The right way of believing in God, is by coming to God through Jesus Christ only, with the help of the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14:6 says, “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me. Acts 4: 12 says, salvation is found through him (Jesus Christ) alone, in the entire world, there is no one else whom God has chosen who can save us. 1Timothy 2: 5 says, for there is only one God, and there is only one man who brings God and people together, that is, the man Christ Jesus). If you have other beliefs, you have to forsake them all. If you believe in ancestral worship or idols or you pray to or worship the dead, you have to turn from those beliefs before you can truly be born again (Deuteronomy 18:9-14says, when you come into to the land that the Lord your God is giving you, don’t follow the disgusting practices of the nations that are there. Don’t sacrifice your children in the fires of your altars, and don’t let your people practice divination or look for omens or use spells or charms and don’t let them consult the spirits of the dead. The Lord your God hates people who do these disgusting things, and that is why he is driving those nations out of the land as you advance. Be completely faithful to the Lord). These beliefs are considered as abominations in the sight of God. You must turn away from other beliefs that you had in other people, whether they are alive or dead. Believe in God through the Lord Jesus Christ only. Believe in the Trinity only, which is (God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit). Understand that you come to God, through Jesus Christ only, by the help of The Holy Spirit.

If you believe in this way which I have explained, then you can pray this prayer that I have written below: Romans 10:9 it reads as follows, if you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that has God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Now we are going to pray this prayer basing ourselves on this verse. Speak this prayer with your own mouth, say:

Dear God, I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is Lord; I believe that he died on the cross because of my sins and that he was raised from the dead on the third day. I believe that he is the only way, the truth and the life. I receive him into my life as my Lord and savior. Thank you Father because I am now born again, I am saved, I have become your child according to your word, I have eternal life in my spirit now and my name is written in your book of life.

Know that once you have prayed this prayer, you are saved.

Thank you very much sir I will definitely go through the link provided by you. Thanks once again

Monroe August 15, 2014 at 4:44 am

Hi, lately my life has been mostly bad & the only thing I keep thinking about is ending it. Yes I think death would be better. I m tired of struggling & being underemployed. I have been looking for a job for a while & God has not opened any doors for me. It feels like he’s punishing me for something. My job just demoted me to a receptionist. This is the worst job on the entire company. If I had a choice I would starve rather than be forced to take this job. I know plenty of people who would love this job & God can give it to them. I put in so many resumes & this is what is given. I need to make more money not less. W&WY Isn’t anything working out? Why isn’t God helping me? I have an anxiety disorder amongst other things. I can’t take it anymore. Good bye

Jack Wellman August 15, 2014 at 8:51 am

THank you Monroe for your open honesty. You know that Jesus had suffered more than any human ever. Have you ever see the Passion of the Christ? Wow. THat’s the way it really was. Jesus prayed 3 times to have the cup removed from Him before Calvary but the Father said no. He died for us when we didn’t deserve it and while still His enemies and wicked sinners (Rom 5). I pray you don’t do anything drastic because if a person commits suicide and they are not soundly saved, then they will have agony without end. I pray that you don’t. Seek counseling, talk to your pastor, talk with your doctor.

Monroe August 15, 2014 at 10:30 am

Hi, that’s not exactly an option for me. I can’t even afford Gas. I’m also not committing suicide. I had a really bad break down. I’m in my late 20 & I’ve pretty much been alone my entire life. Along with billions of people I’m underemployed & can’t support myself. Every advance or step I take life pushes me back about 10 steps. Based on your comment I sure hope I’m save. I do believe that jesus died for me & is my savior. But at this phase in my I feel like I’m the movie & God is sitting in the theater watching my life & throwing popcorn at the screen. Lol sorry that’s what it feel like. I know I’m not the only one suffering & life will never be a breeze for those that aren’t rich. But Jesus is mt Dad when will he show up? I know I’m handling this job thing wrong if this was a test I definitely failed. I don’t understand giving a job you know won’t lay my bills. That’s like me praying for a dollar & you giving me a penny & sending me on my way. I love the Lord but help right would help my faith. Just a little help. I’m not asking for a million dollars.

Jack Wellman August 15, 2014 at 11:17 am

Thank you Monroe and my apology. I was misreading your comment so I am sorry for that. What I can do is pray for God to provide for your needs. I can understand what you are saying now. I once heard Abraham Lincoln has wrote “A tree can only be measured when it is fallen” meaning that the strength of our faith is revealed when we are down and on our backs. Have you spoken with your pastor about this? Sometimes churches provide help for those who need help and many churches have what is called a “Deacons Fund” or something else. I am glad you are saved…that is the main thing. Thank God for that my friend.

Tessa August 30, 2014 at 12:32 pm

Dear Jack,
I want to thank you for praying for me. I had asked for prayers to get my Wedding Ring back since I had pawned it to pay real estate taxes. I have redeemed it! I had to borrow money to do so but at least I got it back!
Thank you so much for praying for me and praise be to the Lord!
My Husband and I are still in a bad financial situation with bills that we have trouble paying and properties that we need to sell. We are so tired! My Husband is up in Michigan trying to sell and we have been apart for over 2 months with no progress. This is very hard! We have had contracts but they just seem to fall through as though we are cursed. We pray and I have been tithing, even through the hard times.
Please pray that God will help us, remove this curse and bless us. Please pray that my husband will sell most if not all of our properties at a decent price very soon. We are running out of time and I really miss my husband. He is 78 years old and is in danger of losing every thing. We need to have solid sales and now.
Thank you so much and God Bless You.

Jack Wellman August 30, 2014 at 2:08 pm

Staying in prayer for you my friend. I wonder how close Christ’s return is with all the trouble now in the world. He is our only hope. May God provide quickly your desperate needs.

Naomi September 6, 2014 at 5:18 am

Hi Jack,

I have been in this bad financial black hole for the last 2 year,my bills and bank loans are killing me! Most of the time i am left with just 100 dollars after paying all my bills and bank loans. I am not a christian yet but I do attend our local church on some Sundays. I don’t seem to have much luck with my love life,I am pretty good looking it is just that guys I have met are mostly not ready for commitment/marriage. I am currently dating someone,he too said he’s not ready.(Sometimes i think I have been cursed) I could only rely on GOD now to deliver me from all these miseries and hopefully you can help to pray for me as I am not too sure how to pray as effectively as most of you here. Thanks you in advanced and God Blessed:)

Jack Wellman September 6, 2014 at 8:32 am

Hello Naomi…I will do as you request and pray that God sends you provision quickly but let me add that luck has nothing to do with it. God cannot help you in the way that He does for those who have repented and trusted in Christ. First of all, I want you to read this at: and then this on how we are supposed to pray at this link: It is my hope that these two can help give you some answers.

mike berkowitz October 22, 2014 at 9:11 pm

Mr. Jack. I guess it looks like I’m not the only one going through hard times. My wife needs to find a good paying job in the legal field. She is a paralegal, and a legal secretary. I am a guitar and bass player. I need to have students to teach. I ask that God opens a door for us. We need him to respond very soon. We both are born again people. He knows all the details. We have seen Jesus do things in our lives before, it’s just the timing of it all. Thank you for praying for us. Mike.

Jack Wellman October 23, 2014 at 7:21 am

Yes, it is a privilege to pray for you and your wife’s desperate needs right now sir. Please forgive me for responding so late. I apologize for that Mr. Berkowitz. I pray that some good news breaks out soon.

Brittany January 6, 2015 at 12:16 pm

I am 30 years old re-married between my husband and I we have 7 children. Though I know my husband believes in Christ he does not actively seek the Lord. I fail sometimes as I do let anxiety of my struggles with my health (I’m chronically ill my Dr took me of work from a career I love and get to help others and even Minister to others as I work in a Christian hospital) she told me I am not going to get better however thankfully I’m not terminal. My finances are over whelming due to not being able to work my husband keeps our finances separate so though my four children and i are struggling to even put food on the table and I am in collections for everything he does not share the same severe struggle, however things are not easy for him either, he turns on me if he thinks he might have ti help me at all and had started putt in g me down basically calling me a looser he allows one of his children to be mean to me and mine and instead of parenting that child he reinforces the behavior. I love the child he is failing 8th grade so I go to school to help him stay on track neither of his biological parents are trying to get the kid through and I still have my other children and I’m sick this isn’t easy. On top of this I have been dealing with my three girls father who is attacking them and me through them he is strung out on drugs doesn’t take care of them when he has them I took him back to court because my girls kept telling me of abuse and neglect but the court didn’t believe my kids instead believed him that i put this in their heads and never did a drug test nor investigation of the man I couldn’t afford a lawyer and things just keep going down hill at their dad’s house despite my oldest telling her school and counselor about the drugs etc they told her until something happens they just can’t help the girls. I have lost my career my debt is engulfing me I cant pay any of my bills my account is over drawn all is in collections I cant buy groceries because I actually need my husband’s help (I’ve never needed his financial help before in fact i was always the one to take care of him and his kids)he chooses to put me down further I know God is going to provide I know he will keep his promises he has performed many miracles that I’ve seen and received I am requesting prayers line I said before I sometimes fall and show anxiety I know in the end God will prevail I’m scared that i will end up on the street my husband will divorce me and I will lose my kids to their druggy father before the testimony God wants me to give is ready I need prayer that I can not worry about that and if that plight is what God has planned for me to bring glory to His name I am obedient with out fear I will do what he calls me I just need the sadness of it out of my heart I need to be happy he had chosen me and it really is this part I’m actually struggling with the most I know I believe I know God has his plan i am struggling not to be sad but to be happy because it hurts so much in every aspect of my life and I want to please God can you please pray that I find joy and thanksgiving for this journey through which I am to give glory to God that all will see how he can change a life where so much is so bad and make it beautiful by his grace. Thank you for allowing me to request prayers and may the Lord bless you and your families who struggle may he illuminate the path that will bring all of his children to him to seek refuge with in him and his pinions of security and love~ Amen

Jack Wellman January 6, 2015 at 2:08 pm

I am so sorry for all of these hardships. Wow…and you still manage to keep your faith thru all of this. Your faith must be strong. Have you spoken with your pastor about this too? If so, what did he say? If you haven’t, I would talk to him and request the prayers of the saints in your church as that will certainly be a valuable aid in this stormy time of your life. You wrote “Though I know my husband believes in Christ he does not actively seek the Lord” but this seems to contradict the actual life a believer should be living (read 1 John chapter 3 for example). His “turning on you” and not supporting your children seems to be a very non-Christian attitude. Also, you said he was on drugs? Or was that your ex? You should be able to go to the court services to force this father to support your children as the law is there for that reason (read Romans 13). Your husband today is not supporting you and has a separate bank account? I don’t understand that since you are married to him and I wonder if this man is also saved. The church often provides means for such emergencies so talk to your pastor, request prayer and I pray as well…and perhap others will join us in this.

Brittany Batista January 6, 2015 at 4:01 pm

Yes I have prayed and sought others to pray as well. My new husband says he believes and our first date was actually to church service however he does struggle with turning to God he is dependent upon materials of the world to make him happy I see his struggle and I have tried to help him and remind him of God’s desires for us but i can’t tell him he doesn’t believe in God I’m trying to show him what faith looks like in action. As far as my ex husband is the one on drugs and he had not paid his court ordered child support in over six years I’ve been praying for him as well but he only seems to get worse and caught do much in the world that he is exposing my kids more and more to the dangers of the lifestyle he conducts but according to the courts there is nothing I can do until my children are actually hurt the laws of the world are not helping or preventing they are only to punish after the fact in the meantime I can only do what i have been And be in constant prayer. I thank you for your prayers and i will continue seeking the Lord as I know he will use my testimony one day to bring others to him, even through this short correspondence I have been reminded to be content where the Lord places me and my family and through that he will bring me peace I pray others who are having their own struggles may find peace as well despite the fact that we are imperfect or father is so we don’t have to be if we have faith and seek him. I’m finding some help in psalm 91 and the above articles Thank you.

Jack Wellman January 6, 2015 at 9:50 pm

Brittany…wow…you have learned so much more on how to be content during such a hard trial and ongoing storms than many Christians who are going thru considerably less. This proves to me your faith is so very strong. Wow. You must surely be pleasing the Lord praising Him during these terrible storms of your life. What a godly woman of prayer. Will pray for you too..and yes, Psalm 91 is so good…and I love Psalm 103. You are doing just what many of us I believe wouldn’t have the strength to do. I am so proud to call you a sister in Christ.

Dear brother Jack

I am a born again Christian who is currently an evangelist in the community and I live in South Africa but I am original from Mozambique I see a great need of gospel in Mozambique and I already started preparing to move there to preach gospel full time

I need help financial please help me if possible because I want to return to Mozambique this new year, I been trying to ask for help from some churches but no one is willing to help me please brother help me to return there and you will be happy of what your money will be used for because I believe many souls will be won by his grace

In the community where I was born most people are not saved but we still have a chance to win them if we can act soon. My heart is feeling very bad because hell is real
I believe God for at least $5000 to buy equipments and also to move my family to Mozambique to preach the message of the cross to many who are lost in darkness, I was there last November and I managed to visit few families but I want to move full time to that land for Christ.

I wish we could help you my friend. Perhaps some will be stirred to action by your appeal for help for these souls in Mozambique.

The Lord will instruct me and teach me in the way which I shall go: and will guide me with his eye (Psalm 32:8)

Hello sir. Please help me.My wife is gone for more than a year now. This is the 3rd time she is doing this.Inclusive in her attitude even when we were together, GROSS INSURBODINATION AND DISRESPECT, ADULTERY, MATERIALISTIC, PRAYERLESS, WRONG INTIMATE COMPANY, SHE EVEN ADVISED WE ABANDON GOD SINCE HE DIDNT GIVE KIDS ETC. I am a pastor and founder of a living church

Jack Wellman February 1, 2015 at 5:21 pm

Hello sir and thank you for your comment and question. It seems to me that you have biblical grounds for divorce since she is in unrepentant, ongoing adultery and refuses to stop so you do have biblical grounds for divorce. Are you concerned your church won’t accept this? Does your wife still attend your church?

E.T.B.DAVIDS February 1, 2015 at 6:36 pm

Thanks for the prompt response sir. Our assembly may not be a problem since they are withnesses to much of my ordeal, but because I am called to work with the body of Christ, there are lots of churches that are already in opposotion and have declared clearly that the only solution is to wait until death do us part. I am married for 9 years and I have lived a life of GROSS SEX STARVATION within this time. Not counting the 15 years of chastity I live before marriage.By the grace of God my wife is the only woman who knows my nakedness since 24yrs.

Jack Wellman February 1, 2015 at 6:38 pm

Thank you my friend. I understand but the other churches who are in opposition do not know the Bible because Jesus said that divorce is not allowed except for adultery and so don’t worry about what other churches say….stick to what you know is true…the Bible. Perhaps you and I can pray for your wife to be convicted by the Holy Spirit and to see her sin and repent.

E.T.B.DAVIDS February 1, 2015 at 6:55 pm

Thank you SIR. Ok please stand with me.I truly strongly love my wife though I dont know how long I can take this pressure from my body and relatives.I am an only son and my mother and sisters together with some pastor friends are literally breathing down my neck.
