Call On God For Help In Desperate Times

by Jack Wellman · Print Print · Email Email

What can we do when we are in desperate situations?  Can we call on God? Can we depend on God?  Can we trust in God?

These are sobering times that we live in today.  Many people have lost jobs and can’t find one.  Others are underemployed and are just barely making it.  The unemployment rate is soaring, the stock market is highly volatile, and famine is spreading worldwide.  Families are losing their homes due to failed mortgages.  There are severe droughts, floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, and tornadoes.  And with turmoil going on in the world people are becoming desperate; even the people of God.  What can we do when our backs are against the wall and we have no where to turn and we are in serious trouble?

God actually desires that we be utterly dependent upon Him and that we are in desperate need of His help.  Think of a human father.  What good father would not want his children to turn to him when they need help?  Naturally, a father loves it when his children come to him to seek help.  There is something special about having someone there for you.  God is this true source and He is more reliable than any human father or mother.

God Says Call on Me For Help

God truly loves those that are His.  He loves you!  Listen to what God says for those who are in desperate situations and what He promises when they call upon Him:

Psalm 50:15and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”

Psalm 91:14-16 “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.  He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

Psalm 145:18-20The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.”

Isaiah 41:17The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the LORD will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.”

Isaiah 55:1, 3Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.”

Isaiah 65:24Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.”

Jeremiah 33:3Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

Micah 7:7But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.”

God Says You Can Depend On Me

God wants us to depend on Him and not rely on ourselves.  God is our Father and we are His children. Children can not make it in this world without their parents.  How much more so can we not make it without the help of our Heavenly Father?  If we try to solve our problems by our self then we can really do nothing to ultimately solve them. God is actually more glorified in our weakness because by His strength He is able to display His might.  He stands ever ready, able, and willing to help us when we really need it but we must first acknowledge of our need for His help.  We truly find freedom from worry when we learn to depend upon God.  Read for yourself:

John 15:5 ““I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

Philippians 2:13for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.”

1 Peter 5:7Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. “

Matthew 28:20bAnd surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 6:25-27  “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?  Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?  Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”

Matthew 6:30-31  “If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?  So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?”

Romans 4:20-21Yet he [Abraham] did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,  being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.”

Philippians 4:19And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

God Says You Can Trust in Me

Our money says “In God We Trust” but it is hard to trust when everything seems to be caving in around us.  Nothing looks like it will turn out right.  At times there is no evidence that God is even with us so how can we trust in Him during calamitous times?  In reality, we can sometimes not even trust our eyes…but if there is anything in this universe you can trust, it is God Almighty.  It is the invisible hand that is placed in ours that never lets go.  Like a parent holding their child‘s hand, God is securely caring for us, never letting us slip or fall:

Isaiah 41:13For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear; I will help you.”

Proverbs 28:26 “Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe.”

Jeremiah 17:5-7This is what the LORD says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the LORD. That person will be like a bush in the wastelands; they will not see prosperity when it comes. They will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives. “But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.”

Psalm 32:7You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.”

Jeremiah 32:27 I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Psalm 36:7 “How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!  People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.”

2 Corinthians 1:20 “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.”

2 Peter 1:4aThrough these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature.”

1 Chronicles 28:20 “David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished.”

When everything seems to be falling in around us, when the walls seem to be closing in on us, when nothing in our world or in this world seems to hold any hope, when everything looks completely hopeless, just remember that God is not ever caught by surprise. He will save those who are His from calamity (Heb 7:25).  He isn’t ever going to abandon us, forsake us, or leave us.  If you are not one of His then you do not have such hope nor can you claim any of His mighty promises.   I pray right now that you seek Him because anyone who seeks Him He has said He can be found.  As it is written in Isaiah 55:6 “Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.”  Second Corinthians 6:2 says, “For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.  I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”  Tomorrow may be too late but it not too late right now to put your complete trust in Him, to depend on Him, to call on Him.  This is my prayer for you.  Please contact us if you make such a decision.

I am running out if time too I have only 2 weeks left to find a sponsor for my job. I am getting more depressed thinking about what I am going to do after these 2 weeks. I couldn’t even imagine, so my only hope is god so could you plz plz plz pray for me to god and request him to shower his blessing on me so that I could find a job and work permit. Thank you

Jack Wellman August 1, 2014 at 10:34 pm

Rajesh…I will pray for you. Have you contacted your local church yet? Talk to your pastor about this. Have you done this already? If not, why not. Churches are there to help fellow believes in the Body of Christ, the church.

Rajesh August 2, 2014 at 5:25 pm

I haven’t been to a church but I have been to a prayer conducted by a couple of my Christian friends. They prayed for me and told me that I will get an interview call in a week time and I will get a job. It’s been more than 2 weeks but nothing has happened. This is making me feel more depressed. I still believe in a miracle of god and am just waiting for it.

Jack Wellman August 2, 2014 at 5:51 pm

I will join with these Christian friends. Why have you not been to a church my friend? Is there something you don’t like about church? Churches have many believers who can pray for you all at the same time, they have resources, they know many people who attend who are employers, and Jesus said that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church that He built so we need the church and they need one another, right?

Rajesh August 2, 2014 at 6:11 pm

Thank you for your quick reply. Well I am a Hindu, while I was talking about my job to a consultant he told me that there is nothing we can do as you got only limited time. Then he said I know a friend of mine who lives in your city he prays to Jesus and he could tell you how it goes and he said his friends predictions would be accurate. So I rang his friend and he asked me if I am free. I said yeah then he asked me if I would like to join a prayer I said yeah and he came picked me up. He took me to a house where there are already 15-20 people who are ready to pray and they do this every week and I joined them and prayed.

Jack Wellman August 2, 2014 at 6:30 pm

I apologize sir…I didn’t realize that you didn’t have access to a local church. I assumed you were in a place that had churches and so I am so sorry for that. You did the right think. I will pray with these other believes and pray that God opens a door for you. Are you a practicing Hindu sir? Was there ever a time when you repented of your sins and trusted in Christ? Do you even know what this means my friend. Again, I am sorry for my mistake and not knowing where you were. As for this man that knows makes predictions, God does not approve or allow this for us to do but again, you probably didn’t know this either. Are you just now learning about Jesus Rajesh?

Rajesh August 2, 2014 at 6:14 pm

Forgot to answer your above question regarding if there is anything that I don’t like about church. I don’t have any such feeling and I respect everyone’s beliefs. Thank you

Rajesh August 2, 2014 at 6:43 pm

Yes sir I practice Hinduism and I am just getting to know much about Christianity now. But I know about Christianity as a kid because I did my schooling in a missionary school where we were taught by nuns whom we call sisters. It’s alright sir You don’t have to apologise and you know I am in just one of those phase where nothing is in my hands anymore and it’s only in the hands of god to make things happen to me. So I started believing in Jesus when I have heard he would answer our prayers. I even promised them that I will give a testimony in a church once I find a job and work visa. Thank you

Jack Wellman August 2, 2014 at 7:20 pm

Rajesh…I am so very happy you came here to this website sir. If you want to know more about Jesus and Who He is, please read this link: and I pray that you come to know Him and can receive eternal life through Him Who alone can give you what you really need. Thank you Rajesh.

What does it mean to be born again? (John 3: 3-8)

The Lord Jesus made it clear that unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. He says that unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3: 3-8). Now, what does it mean to be born of water and the Spirit? When we speak of water and the Spirit, we speak of being born of the word of God and the Holy Spirit. Water in this verse does not speak of baptism but it is symbolic of the word of God (Ephesians 5:26 and 27). The bible tells us time and again that we are born of the word of God (1Peter 1:23) and the Holy Spirit. This happens in this way: we hear the word of God, which is the gospel of Jesus Christ, when we accept it and believe it in our hearts and confess the Lordship of Christ in our lives, The Holy Spirit gives birth to us in our spirits. He does this by removing the sin nature that was in our spirits before we received Christ, then He gives us a nature that is exactly like God’s nature in our human spirits. This work happens immediately when we confess Jesus as Lord and savior according to Romans 10; 9.

Further explanation of the new birth:

Before we accept the Lord Jesus Christ in to our lives, we are identified with Adam from our first birth. When our parents gave birth to us physically, we are born with a sin nature in our spirits. With our first birth, we are likened or identified to Adam in his sin and its Judgment because we were still connected with the first man, Adam. (Romans 5:14-16)(Ephesians 2:1-4). When we are born physically during our first birth from our earthly parents, our spirits are dead because of the sin nature that we are born with. Spiritual death means being separated from God. But when we accept the Lord Jesus Christ in to our lives, we are born again in our spirits. This means that we are brought to life in our spirits, which means that we are reconciled to God because of accepting the Lord Jesus Christ in our lives. Once we have believed in the Lord Jesus and confessed him with our mouths as Lord and savior, we are given the nature that is like that of God in our spirits, and we are put right with God through Jesus Christ and we become the very sons and daughters of God indeed (Galatians 3:26, John 1:10-14). When we are born again, we are likened or identified to the Lord Jesus Christ in his resurrection and his life. We are made Sons of God indeed through this second birth. ‘The word born again, saved, justified, made righteous mean one and the same thing. When we become children of God through the new birth, we get saved from God`s wrath and judgment and we are delivered from sin and its penalty, which include death, sickness, poverty, curses etc.

If you have not yet accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, and you would love to accept him now, then pray the prayer that I have written below at the end of this teaching. Confess it with your mouth, believing in your heart and then you will be born again. All you need to do is to believe in God the right way. The right way of believing in God, is by coming to God through Jesus Christ only, with the help of the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14:6 says, “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me. Acts 4: 12 says, salvation is found through him (Jesus Christ) alone, in the entire world, there is no one else whom God has chosen who can save us. 1Timothy 2: 5 says, for there is only one God, and there is only one man who brings God and people together, that is, the man Christ Jesus). If you have other beliefs, you have to forsake them all. If you believe in ancestral worship or idols or you pray to or worship the dead, you have to turn from those beliefs before you can truly be born again (Deuteronomy 18:9-14says, when you come into to the land that the Lord your God is giving you, don’t follow the disgusting practices of the nations that are there. Don’t sacrifice your children in the fires of your altars, and don’t let your people practice divination or look for omens or use spells or charms and don’t let them consult the spirits of the dead. The Lord your God hates people who do these disgusting things, and that is why he is driving those nations out of the land as you advance. Be completely faithful to the Lord). These beliefs are considered as abominations in the sight of God. You must turn away from other beliefs that you had in other people, whether they are alive or dead. Believe in God through the Lord Jesus Christ only. Believe in the Trinity only, which is (God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit). Understand that you come to God, through Jesus Christ only, by the help of The Holy Spirit.

If you believe in this way which I have explained, then you can pray this prayer that I have written below: Romans 10:9 it reads as follows, if you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that has God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Now we are going to pray this prayer basing ourselves on this verse. Speak this prayer with your own mouth, say:

Dear God, I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is Lord; I believe that he died on the cross because of my sins and that he was raised from the dead on the third day. I believe that he is the only way, the truth and the life. I receive him into my life as my Lord and savior. Thank you Father because I am now born again, I am saved, I have become your child according to your word, I have eternal life in my spirit now and my name is written in your book of life.

Know that once you have prayed this prayer, you are saved.

Monroe August 15, 2014 at 4:44 am

Hi, lately my life has been mostly bad & the only thing I keep thinking about is ending it. Yes I think death would be better. I m tired of struggling & being underemployed. I have been looking for a job for a while & God has not opened any doors for me. It feels like he’s punishing me for something. My job just demoted me to a receptionist. This is the worst job on the entire company. If I had a choice I would starve rather than be forced to take this job. I know plenty of people who would love this job & God can give it to them. I put in so many resumes & this is what is given. I need to make more money not less. W&WY Isn’t anything working out? Why isn’t God helping me? I have an anxiety disorder amongst other things. I can’t take it anymore. Good bye

Jack Wellman August 15, 2014 at 8:51 am

THank you Monroe for your open honesty. You know that Jesus had suffered more than any human ever. Have you ever see the Passion of the Christ? Wow. THat’s the way it really was. Jesus prayed 3 times to have the cup removed from Him before Calvary but the Father said no. He died for us when we didn’t deserve it and while still His enemies and wicked sinners (Rom 5). I pray you don’t do anything drastic because if a person commits suicide and they are not soundly saved, then they will have agony without end. I pray that you don’t. Seek counseling, talk to your pastor, talk with your doctor.

Monroe August 15, 2014 at 10:30 am

Hi, that’s not exactly an option for me. I can’t even afford Gas. I’m also not committing suicide. I had a really bad break down. I’m in my late 20 & I’ve pretty much been alone my entire life. Along with billions of people I’m underemployed & can’t support myself. Every advance or step I take life pushes me back about 10 steps. Based on your comment I sure hope I’m save. I do believe that jesus died for me & is my savior. But at this phase in my I feel like I’m the movie & God is sitting in the theater watching my life & throwing popcorn at the screen. Lol sorry that’s what it feel like. I know I’m not the only one suffering & life will never be a breeze for those that aren’t rich. But Jesus is mt Dad when will he show up? I know I’m handling this job thing wrong if this was a test I definitely failed. I don’t understand giving a job you know won’t lay my bills. That’s like me praying for a dollar & you giving me a penny & sending me on my way. I love the Lord but help right would help my faith. Just a little help. I’m not asking for a million dollars.

Jack Wellman August 15, 2014 at 11:17 am

Thank you Monroe and my apology. I was misreading your comment so I am sorry for that. What I can do is pray for God to provide for your needs. I can understand what you are saying now. I once heard Abraham Lincoln has wrote “A tree can only be measured when it is fallen” meaning that the strength of our faith is revealed when we are down and on our backs. Have you spoken with your pastor about this? Sometimes churches provide help for those who need help and many churches have what is called a “Deacons Fund” or something else. I am glad you are saved…that is the main thing. Thank God for that my friend.

Tessa August 30, 2014 at 12:32 pm

Dear Jack,
I want to thank you for praying for me. I had asked for prayers to get my Wedding Ring back since I had pawned it to pay real estate taxes. I have redeemed it! I had to borrow money to do so but at least I got it back!
Thank you so much for praying for me and praise be to the Lord!
My Husband and I are still in a bad financial situation with bills that we have trouble paying and properties that we need to sell. We are so tired! My Husband is up in Michigan trying to sell and we have been apart for over 2 months with no progress. This is very hard! We have had contracts but they just seem to fall through as though we are cursed. We pray and I have been tithing, even through the hard times.
Please pray that God will help us, remove this curse and bless us. Please pray that my husband will sell most if not all of our properties at a decent price very soon. We are running out of time and I really miss my husband. He is 78 years old and is in danger of losing every thing. We need to have solid sales and now.
Thank you so much and God Bless You.

Jack Wellman August 30, 2014 at 2:08 pm

Staying in prayer for you my friend. I wonder how close Christ’s return is with all the trouble now in the world. He is our only hope. May God provide quickly your desperate needs.

Naomi September 6, 2014 at 5:18 am

Hi Jack,

I have been in this bad financial black hole for the last 2 year,my bills and bank loans are killing me! Most of the time i am left with just 100 dollars after paying all my bills and bank loans. I am not a christian yet but I do attend our local church on some Sundays. I don’t seem to have much luck with my love life,I am pretty good looking it is just that guys I have met are mostly not ready for commitment/marriage. I am currently dating someone,he too said he’s not ready.(Sometimes i think I have been cursed) I could only rely on GOD now to deliver me from all these miseries and hopefully you can help to pray for me as I am not too sure how to pray as effectively as most of you here. Thanks you in advanced and God Blessed:)

Jack Wellman September 6, 2014 at 8:32 am

Hello Naomi…I will do as you request and pray that God sends you provision quickly but let me add that luck has nothing to do with it. God cannot help you in the way that He does for those who have repented and trusted in Christ. First of all, I want you to read this at: and then this on how we are supposed to pray at this link: It is my hope that these two can help give you some answers.

mike berkowitz October 22, 2014 at 9:11 pm

Mr. Jack. I guess it looks like I’m not the only one going through hard times. My wife needs to find a good paying job in the legal field. She is a paralegal, and a legal secretary. I am a guitar and bass player. I need to have students to teach. I ask that God opens a door for us. We need him to respond very soon. We both are born again people. He knows all the details. We have seen Jesus do things in our lives before, it’s just the timing of it all. Thank you for praying for us. Mike.

Jack Wellman October 23, 2014 at 7:21 am

Yes, it is a privilege to pray for you and your wife’s desperate needs right now sir. Please forgive me for responding so late. I apologize for that Mr. Berkowitz. I pray that some good news breaks out soon.

Brittany January 6, 2015 at 12:16 pm

I am 30 years old re-married between my husband and I we have 7 children. Though I know my husband believes in Christ he does not actively seek the Lord. I fail sometimes as I do let anxiety of my struggles with my health (I’m chronically ill my Dr took me of work from a career I love and get to help others and even Minister to others as I work in a Christian hospital) she told me I am not going to get better however thankfully I’m not terminal. My finances are over whelming due to not being able to work my husband keeps our finances separate so though my four children and i are struggling to even put food on the table and I am in collections for everything he does not share the same severe struggle, however things are not easy for him either, he turns on me if he thinks he might have ti help me at all and had started putt in g me down basically calling me a looser he allows one of his children to be mean to me and mine and instead of parenting that child he reinforces the behavior. I love the child he is failing 8th grade so I go to school to help him stay on track neither of his biological parents are trying to get the kid through and I still have my other children and I’m sick this isn’t easy. On top of this I have been dealing with my three girls father who is attacking them and me through them he is strung out on drugs doesn’t take care of them when he has them I took him back to court because my girls kept telling me of abuse and neglect but the court didn’t believe my kids instead believed him that i put this in their heads and never did a drug test nor investigation of the man I couldn’t afford a lawyer and things just keep going down hill at their dad’s house despite my oldest telling her school and counselor about the drugs etc they told her until something happens they just can’t help the girls. I have lost my career my debt is engulfing me I cant pay any of my bills my account is over drawn all is in collections I cant buy groceries because I actually need my husband’s help (I’ve never needed his financial help before in fact i was always the one to take care of him and his kids)he chooses to put me down further I know God is going to provide I know he will keep his promises he has performed many miracles that I’ve seen and received I am requesting prayers line I said before I sometimes fall and show anxiety I know in the end God will prevail I’m scared that i will end up on the street my husband will divorce me and I will lose my kids to their druggy father before the testimony God wants me to give is ready I need prayer that I can not worry about that and if that plight is what God has planned for me to bring glory to His name I am obedient with out fear I will do what he calls me I just need the sadness of it out of my heart I need to be happy he had chosen me and it really is this part I’m actually struggling with the most I know I believe I know God has his plan i am struggling not to be sad but to be happy because it hurts so much in every aspect of my life and I want to please God can you please pray that I find joy and thanksgiving for this journey through which I am to give glory to God that all will see how he can change a life where so much is so bad and make it beautiful by his grace. Thank you for allowing me to request prayers and may the Lord bless you and your families who struggle may he illuminate the path that will bring all of his children to him to seek refuge with in him and his pinions of security and love~ Amen

Jack Wellman January 6, 2015 at 2:08 pm

I am so sorry for all of these hardships. Wow…and you still manage to keep your faith thru all of this. Your faith must be strong. Have you spoken with your pastor about this too? If so, what did he say? If you haven’t, I would talk to him and request the prayers of the saints in your church as that will certainly be a valuable aid in this stormy time of your life. You wrote “Though I know my husband believes in Christ he does not actively seek the Lord” but this seems to contradict the actual life a believer should be living (read 1 John chapter 3 for example). His “turning on you” and not supporting your children seems to be a very non-Christian attitude. Also, you said he was on drugs? Or was that your ex? You should be able to go to the court services to force this father to support your children as the law is there for that reason (read Romans 13). Your husband today is not supporting you and has a separate bank account? I don’t understand that since you are married to him and I wonder if this man is also saved. The church often provides means for such emergencies so talk to your pastor, request prayer and I pray as well…and perhap others will join us in this.

Brittany Batista January 6, 2015 at 4:01 pm

Yes I have prayed and sought others to pray as well. My new husband says he believes and our first date was actually to church service however he does struggle with turning to God he is dependent upon materials of the world to make him happy I see his struggle and I have tried to help him and remind him of God’s desires for us but i can’t tell him he doesn’t believe in God I’m trying to show him what faith looks like in action. As far as my ex husband is the one on drugs and he had not paid his court ordered child support in over six years I’ve been praying for him as well but he only seems to get worse and caught do much in the world that he is exposing my kids more and more to the dangers of the lifestyle he conducts but according to the courts there is nothing I can do until my children are actually hurt the laws of the world are not helping or preventing they are only to punish after the fact in the meantime I can only do what i have been And be in constant prayer. I thank you for your prayers and i will continue seeking the Lord as I know he will use my testimony one day to bring others to him, even through this short correspondence I have been reminded to be content where the Lord places me and my family and through that he will bring me peace I pray others who are having their own struggles may find peace as well despite the fact that we are imperfect or father is so we don’t have to be if we have faith and seek him. I’m finding some help in psalm 91 and the above articles Thank you.

Jack Wellman January 6, 2015 at 9:50 pm

Brittany…wow…you have learned so much more on how to be content during such a hard trial and ongoing storms than many Christians who are going thru considerably less. This proves to me your faith is so very strong. Wow. You must surely be pleasing the Lord praising Him during these terrible storms of your life. What a godly woman of prayer. Will pray for you too..and yes, Psalm 91 is so good…and I love Psalm 103. You are doing just what many of us I believe wouldn’t have the strength to do. I am so proud to call you a sister in Christ.

John January 9, 2015 at 4:22 am

Dear brother Jack

I am a born again Christian who is currently an evangelist in the community and I live in South Africa but I am original from Mozambique I see a great need of gospel in Mozambique and I already started preparing to move there to preach gospel full time

I need help financial please help me if possible because I want to return to Mozambique this new year, I been trying to ask for help from some churches but no one is willing to help me please brother help me to return there and you will be happy of what your money will be used for because I believe many souls will be won by his grace

In the community where I was born most people are not saved but we still have a chance to win them if we can act soon. My heart is feeling very bad because hell is real
I believe God for at least $5000 to buy equipments and also to move my family to Mozambique to preach the message of the cross to many who are lost in darkness, I was there last November and I managed to visit few families but I want to move full time to that land for Christ.

Jack Wellman January 9, 2015 at 9:23 am

I wish we could help you my friend. Perhaps some will be stirred to action by your appeal for help for these souls in Mozambique.

John January 9, 2015 at 11:15 am

Hello sir. Please help me.My wife is gone for more than a year now. This is the 3rd time she is doing this.Inclusive in her attitude even when we were together, GROSS INSURBODINATION AND DISRESPECT, ADULTERY, MATERIALISTIC, PRAYERLESS, WRONG INTIMATE COMPANY, SHE EVEN ADVISED WE ABANDON GOD SINCE HE DIDNT GIVE KIDS ETC. I am a pastor and founder of a living church

Jack Wellman February 1, 2015 at 5:21 pm

Hello sir and thank you for your comment and question. It seems to me that you have biblical grounds for divorce since she is in unrepentant, ongoing adultery and refuses to stop so you do have biblical grounds for divorce. Are you concerned your church won’t accept this? Does your wife still attend your church?

As I said before, or ask before, do you not have a pastor to talk with these things about. I am very hesitant to say that someone has biblical grounds for divorce or doesn’t over the Internet. I can see that you must believe you do have grounds. There must be some pastor or Christian marriage counselor you can speak with. If I were near you, I would sit down with you and get the full story and exactly what happened. Were you both Christians before you got married or only after you got married? Was your spouse ever unfaithful or is he now with another woman? There are many factors to consider so do you see why I hesitate to answer for you yes, can biblically divorce or you cannot right now. Does this make sense my friend?

E.T.B.DAVIDS February 1, 2015 at 6:36 pm

Thanks for the prompt response sir. Our assembly may not be a problem since they are withnesses to much of my ordeal, but because I am called to work with the body of Christ, there are lots of churches that are already in opposotion and have declared clearly that the only solution is to wait until death do us part. I am married for 9 years and I have lived a life of GROSS SEX STARVATION within this time. Not counting the 15 years of chastity I live before marriage.By the grace of God my wife is the only woman who knows my nakedness since 24yrs.

Jack Wellman February 1, 2015 at 6:38 pm

Thank you my friend. I understand but the other churches who are in opposition do not know the Bible because Jesus said that divorce is not allowed except for adultery and so don’t worry about what other churches say….stick to what you know is true…the Bible. Perhaps you and I can pray for your wife to be convicted by the Holy Spirit and to see her sin and repent.

E.T.B.DAVIDS February 1, 2015 at 6:55 pm

Thank you SIR. Ok please stand with me.I truly strongly love my wife though I dont know how long I can take this pressure from my body and relatives.I am an only son and my mother and sisters together with some pastor friends are literally breathing down my neck.

minxcy April 3, 2015 at 7:28 am

Hi, lately I’ve lost a lot of my faith. God provides for me & has given me none of what I really want. I’m 29 a virgin, o have a job but most days I’d rather get hit by a car or shot on the arm or leg so I won’t have to go. I’m not perfect I’ve made a lot of mistakes some intentional. Like recently I’ve started watching porn because I’m lonely. Most of my friends who had kids out of wedlock & started off wrong all seem to be happy, they all seem to connect on my church group. I’m the only virgin. IM THE GOOD GIRL AMONGST THE GOOD GIRLS.
I figure maybe if I start doing wrong God will pay attention to me. Even if it’s the type of attention I don’t want. Something is better than nothing. I’m a being selfish? Should I be thankful for my loneliness? O know I’m wrong but I thought I did what was was right in his eyes. But I’ve gotten nothing in return. I go out but no one seems to be interested. I may not be a 10 but I’m not ugly. I’m currently on counseling to prevent suicide. I’m tired of being alone. And honestly I feel horrible every morning I wake up because I know I don’t deserve it. I also know that porn is filth! What should I do?

Jack Wellman April 3, 2015 at 10:15 am

Thank you mincxy for your comment. I am sorry you are going thru lonliness. You know, none of us are good at all (Rom 3:10-12). Maybe these girls are “false converts” because no one who says they are a Christian continues to live in sin (e.g. 1 John chapter 3). You know porn is filth. True, but why did you say that? Do you have a problem with porn? The best way to get out of this is feeling to go and serve others. When we serve others we take our eyes off of ourselves and we are commanded to serve and love one another and not ourselves (Rom 12. 1 Cor 13). Visit the sick, share the gospel with the lost, visit a nursing home, many others have no one to talk to but you can sympathize with them. If you end your pain and fears, you are putting a period where God intends to have it be a comma. If you commit suicide, you had better be 100% sure you are saved for then it will be too late and you will have no chance to repent. Normally, a person that is saved will not end their life and all who live the Christian life will suffer and Peter says to not be surprised by suffering for we all experience this. Serve others, visit others, share the gospel, read your Bible. What do you think?

Jack Wellman April 17, 2015 at 8:49 am

Hello “JL”. I will be glad to pray for you and your marriage. I know that your husband cannot possibly find a Bible verse that gives him permission to divorce you. I will pray for you though.

jl April 17, 2015 at 6:44 pm

Pastor can i ask you can a verse 1 Corinthians 7:15
But if the Unbelieving wife separates, let it be so in such cases the brother or sister is not enslaved, God has called you to peace. Can a husband divorce his wife because i was in long distance relationship and he said i been separate my self he havent call me.and he give me a verse of 1Corthians 7: 10:12 he said i separated my self, this is the verse he said to me,to divorece me

Jack Wellman April 17, 2015 at 6:47 pm

Thank you for your question and comment. I would say that some pastors take it that way but I would speak with your own pastor first who could speak with you face to face in a more personal way and would know more about you and your history with spouse. I don’t see it the way you do but talk with your pastor and see what he says.

Alan Almeda April 19, 2015 at 11:30 pm

Dear Jack, I have been struggling financially for 11 year. I became a Christian 5 years ago. I have lost my family, my business, friends, and have gotten sick. I admit that there are times that I wavered but tealized that I must trust God. I am on the verge of losing everything. Please pray for me. Thank you, Alan

Jack Wellman April 20, 2015 at 1:40 am

Thank you Mr. Almeda. I will pray sir and maybe you can pray for me as I am really struggling right now with some things that hit our family broadside. Thank you for that and I pray God does something supernatural for you in this crisis and please keep in touch sir to see how it is going.

Alan Almeda April 22, 2015 at 1:41 am

Hello Mr. Wellman, I have been praying for all of us in desperate need of God’s help. It does seem that we have been walled in and the roof is about to collapse on us but, I’ve realized that this is the that we truly and fervently call on God. Our mind and senses are on acute standby to hear his will. I am fervently praying for Him to intervene in our lives. For myself, the situation is critical, am afraid of being evicted . My kids who ocersead are also in danger of being asked to leave their flat. No income and no savings. Assets practically gone. But I know that our God is faithful and shall resolve the situation. May our Good Lord come to our aid soonest. We thank God for all things including our trials. Best regards Sir. Alan

Jack Wellman April 22, 2015 at 8:24 am

I am with you Mr. Almeda and I do hope others will join with us in praying fervently for your family. Do you have a church home? Talk to your pastor about this. Some churches can help out temporarily.

tony May 16, 2015 at 2:27 am

Please pray for me. I feel at times I have no faith, hopeless and in despair. I have a mental illness…severe fear, anxiety, stress, sleeplessness, nightmares, etc. I’m hooked on prescription medication. I cry and call on the Lord for the answer. I may be double minded and am scared for myself and my family going into a lost eternity.

Jack Wellman May 16, 2015 at 8:32 am

I will pray for you my brother…and in fact, I am right now. We have written an article called “How Can I Overcome Addiction And Sin In My Life?” and may it be a help to you my friend. Click on this link:

Lydia May 29, 2015 at 2:50 am

Please pray for me, I kind of feel hopeless and desperate to find God’s will for my life. I was in an abusive relationship for the past three years and got out of this situation when my life was on the line. I have come back to my parent’s house and sometimes it feels like I do not know who I am anymore. The years of emotional and physical abuse have took away my identity. It seems like a lot of doors remain closed when I desperately try to get back on my feet. I need God’s guidance and support on what should I do career wise. I feel like hearing his voice is so difficult. Would you pray for me to hear his voice and his guidance? Thank you so much! God bless you sir

Jack Wellman May 29, 2015 at 9:29 am

I will pray for you Lydia. I am sorry for such heartache. Have you talked with your pastor about this? If not, why not? I suggest you request the prayers of the saints in your church too and request prayer as an “unspoken need.” Here is an article on how to know what God’s will for your life is at this link:

stephen brown February 8, 2016 at 4:00 am

Dear Jack could you pray for me please.I live in United Kingdom and at the moment am going through a terrible depression and i to am despersate.I pray the good lord will help me but i fear he has forsaken me but in my heart i dont believe he has really.I have not been a good person throughout my life, with the usual vices, drugs, porn but i just want jesus to give me another chance and for him to give me faith so that i can draw near to him and feel him in my heart.Jack i am pretty desperate please pray for me.

Karen June 25, 2015 at 12:38 pm

Im so desperate I find myself harrassing other unkowing people with my desperateness and things they could never help me with. I know they can not resolve my issues, yet I continue to send emails and place blame on them for not wanting to keep dealing with my own personal issue.

Jack Wellman June 25, 2015 at 12:45 pm

Hello Karen. I will pray for you my friend. Have you contacted your own pastor about your desperate state? Pastors are typically never that busy to help. Try to call him.

bianca June 29, 2015 at 4:25 am

i have a big problem that needs a powerful Man of God. I have an old school friend of mine who was once possessed by the demons, the last time i see him it was on 2002, then this year January he came to my workplace and i was surprise and asked him, who told him that I’m working here, and he said one of his friends. Then he told me everything about his life and that now HE IS CHANGED PERSON AND He IS A PASTOR. I WAS CONVINCED BECAUSE HE WAS WITH THE OTHER LADY FROM KHUJWANE VILLAGE IN TZANEEN AND THAT LADY SHE IS A PASTOR, THEN THEY SAID THEIR HAVING A CRUCEDE AND INVITED ME TO COME. YES INDEED GOD IS USING HIM MIGHTILY. THEN I TOLD HIM ABOUT MY PARENTS, I WAS ALWAYS PRAYING TO God that my parents must repent and leave IPHC CHURCH, So i asked him if it will be possible for him to go with me and pray for parents, then he said its fine. Before i invited him, he once came in my house and prayer for my step daughter who was possessed, that’s when i invited him.

I did organise all my siblings then we went home (Bushbuckridge), we didn’t tell them (parents) that we are coming, they were surprise to see us all. Apostle Jonas started preaching to them until my father surrender and said give him permission to take all his church uniform and burn, then my mum was doubting but later she surrendered too. We were all crying the tears of Joy because we were all failing to convince them to leave the church (IPHC).

Apostle Jonas said he want to start the church at home using the garage. My father accept and my mum was not sure. Now the church is buzzy, he’s delivering people.

Jack Wellman June 29, 2015 at 9:04 am

I would call the local police or authorities because no pastor can require all of a person’s money. That is not found in the Bible. I believe this man is a false prophet who is only interested in profit (money making). Call the police. have this man kicked out. He is taking advantage of you. God is obviously not with this man and God will not punish your family for this. He is using fear to try to make them obey. This man, according to the pastors in the Bible, is no pastor at all but an angel of light that is an imposter and is really a minister or Satan. I would call the local police and tell your parents that according to the Bible, no one is required to give all their money and made to work for one man and his church. This man is a deceiver.

Maguerita Zondagh July 11, 2015 at 5:36 am

He DOES say call on me and I will help you, but he just doesn’t. I have had a horrible life where I married a guy when I was 18 and not being akin to divorce and looking after my kids I took all of it. This man has never stopped treating me like his personal slave/made and yet he has brain damage from an accident and yet I do everything he says because I was young and it became what it is. Apparently my sons were reared very well and are gifted boys. But as for me, now in late fifties I feel spent and I need to go away and I cannot. I don’t want to get divorced but I want my own place – this man can even move IN but on MY terms, just for once. When I was born I was a very pretty baby and my family adored me – only to grow up and be a stranger’s slave and to wait on him. He yells at me non-stop (okay nowadays I think ppl do that in any case) but I cannot get out. Plus EYE was the breadwinner and stupidly I thought it was good that he managed the finances. Now reaching our old age we have to start anew and ALL I want is to be on my own and to be able to move a cupboard into the corner where I want it -where everything does not belong to this person (this stranger that is not of my blood, but by our children). How stupid was I – G-d? well he stays silent. Preachers YOU have to preach on that and stop telling us the Word says he’ll help out when I have NEVER even seen a healing ever (DEFINITELY not on paper and that’s where it SHOULD be – accredited by a doctor that this person has been healed). SOOO tiredof lies in the churches and preachers just so PC because that little basket that comes around has got to stay afloat (I an understand they ALSO need their bonds repaid) but what a mess!

Philip July 27, 2015 at 10:38 pm

Hi Jack, I need your help to pray for me very badly. I try to bring my family especially my wife and 3 children to Church 8 years ago and cut off a number of ties from friends as well as my job to start all over again. To my regret, it ends up very messy and today I’m a very broken man with hatred from my children and wife as well as totally in debts even without food for days. This christian assembly only interested whether I’m a successful in money making or business networking. They even said that it’s non of their concern if we are seeking God. Until today I’m just wondering is it this is the price I have to pay to seek God. I’m now very lost and do not know what to do. Philip

Jack Wellman July 28, 2015 at 9:11 am

Hello Philip. I will pray for you my brother. I am so sorry for such heartache. Why does your family and wife hate you? Should they not also pray for you? As for this church, I would find a different church home as they don’t seem to be very Christ-like at all. There are many false churches out there that only want your money but they will face God’s judgment someday. What price are you meaning that you have to pay? I see you did nothing wrong. Why did you quit your job? Can you go back to them and ask for your job back?

ifeyinwa August 4, 2015 at 12:02 pm

i am weak, lost, broken at the verge of losing my job. i have been angry and the times i pray to God i do so in tears because i am confused on whether to resign and have peace or just keep praying to God to keep my work. Out of anger, i let my prayer life slip and have had difficulty maintaining that relationship. There have been rumors about me at work, some are true and some exaggerated.

i prayed for a long time to God before i got this job and i feel sorry for disappointing him at the same time, i feel anger for letting me see shame; disappointing my family and parents .i believe he could have saved me from all this mess.

I am newly married and don’t know want this new feeling to affect my marriage because i know the enemy comes to destroy but i pray he doesn’t touch my marriage with this crisis.

I am really afraid of being jobless. I am afraid of the shame of being let go.

I believe in God and i know he cares for me. I just hope he gives me the strength to go through the period as i put all my trust in him. Anger with God has not helped.

I want to go back and be that child i used to be in his presence.

Amber August 13, 2015 at 11:58 am

I’ve stumbled across this web page by accident. There’s so many people out there getting it from all sides. I’m just the same everywhere I look or go, I’m hemmed in and it looks like God and is God as we know! Pain from every direction and every response I have is perceived as unbelief! I mean I know there’s a God and that He loves me and wants what’s best for me and everyone of us come to that, but I just don’t know how long I can keep it up! I understand the principle of counting it all joy but that’s not always easy. In all honesty I’m totally overwhelmed by it all and seriously wonder whether I can continue to seek God as the quest for total submission is so hard and dangerous. Yes I’ve sought the help of pastor’s and church goers. You must be in heaven already pastor the way you talk about church! I’ve been baptised 22 years and have only met one good shepherd I could trust and love and had authority over me, he died some years back! Maybe I’m wasting my time and if I am I know it’s my own doing through lack of knowledge, which led to a lack of appreciation for Jesus and the sacrifices made. Ultimately my responsibility but a little help might of made a difference. Whatever my perception God is still God and I turned my back on more than one occasion without any help from anyone. Please don’t tell me about the prodigal I know! Like I said His still God. maybe I’m just not chosen!

Jack Wellman August 13, 2015 at 12:07 pm

Hello Amber. I am about as far from heaven as anyone can be….and being a pastor, I am not above going thru times of despair and depression. I pour myself out to so many as now almost 9,000 comments to help others and I feel helpless at times to make a difference in someone’s life. I will not mention the prodigal as that was not even on my mind. God never forsakes us or leaves us (Heb 13:5) even when we (and I have) turned our backs on Him. I see that at least you have tried and that is more than many will do so you are commended for at least seeking help. I know that sometimes the Bible is the only real help we can get and from no human so often times I feel I need to go into the psalms or in the gospel of John (chapters 6 & 11) and in Romans 8. Besides praying for you, let me know what else I can do for you.

KAYODE B August 17, 2015 at 11:14 am

I don’t know anymore. I just don’t know.I’ts like God is mad at me and has shut his ears to my prayers.. While appreciating that God is the source and while I seek his face everyday ,God has totally refused to listen to my voice. I am at my wits end right now . I understand God to be loving kind, and gentle. He wants nothing more than to have a relationship with me : why then has he refused to answer me for upwards of 30 years. LORD GOD HAVE MERCY ON YOUR SON

Believer in Christ October 13, 2015 at 7:58 am

Dear Mr Wellman

I come from a Tamil background. I was very obedient and devoted in my faith until 2011 when i started having issues with a close family member. I started questioning everything as this family member let me down financially leaving me with a huge burden of a bond. It was then that i started going for prayer by a christian lady and started reading prayers from the bible. I then met a christian guy who was seperated from his wife at that time. he was also going through endless problems with his marriage. we started dating and he went for a divorce and i got more involved with going to church and reading the bible and slowly left the hindu faith and gave my heart to the Lord. I got baptized in December 2014 and my boyfriend and i got married this year. although my relationship is ok now with this family member its not the same. i am still stuck with her financial burdens and more of my own while she is enjoying her life. i was there for her. Always helping financially. my husband and i now are going through tremendous financial problems. the people i once helped turn their backs on me now. they insult and ridicule my husband and i and make us feel like we are worth nothing. I know Jesus loves me and i love him. i wouldnt change the decision i made to serve Jesus for anything. I pray everyday. Sometimes whenever i think of Jesus i pray. i am truly thankful for whatever God has blessed me with. All i ask is for you to pray for my husband and i also. For us to get out of this deep hole we are in. Being newly weds and having financial worries causes more strain on a marriage. We do attend church. And we also go for prayer by our pastor. I am embarrassed to say that we dont have money for anything, food, accounts, petrol for the car and even tithing. My life was never easy. i was always a the person my family turn to in times of need and i was there for them. Everything i have done, was a battle or struggle. I just want to be free from debt, and have a family and house of my own. Any advice you have will be greatly appreciated. I pray God answers my prayers and well as all the others on this site.

Hello Jack, I hope all is well with you? I found your article on addiction most inspiring and helpful. I have and still do struggle with alcohol which seems to come through fear which seems to come through unbelief which seems to come through apathy regarding the Word. It is as though I have what I deserve. Please say a prayer that I may return to my first Love.
I want to thank you for your efforts in helping the Body of Christ.

Jack Wellman January 13, 2016 at 10:34 am

I will pray for you sir. I know it is hard but it’s actually good to be battling with this because it shows the Holy Spirit is convicting you and that’s a great sign that God is working in you and remember, He never gives up on us.

Harry January 23, 2016 at 6:37 pm

Hello well I lost my wife the end of 2014 30 years of marriage then in 2015 the new year I lost my job I almost lost my hose into foreclosure but got a re modification loan I am seeing a psychologist for my problems. Now I live on my pension with out my wife’s salary I was raised a catholic I prayed every day since I was a child Now I really don’t go to church like I use to but I do believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Job wise not doing to good but I am working I barley pay my bills and have very little left to survive. I need a real miracle to find a better paying job please keep me in your prayers Jack

Jack Wellman January 23, 2016 at 7:04 pm

Most surely will pray for Harry. I am so sorry sir. May God speedily give you the help you so badly need. You are cut off from the Body of Christ and the support of that Body thru prayer and giving. I suggest you connect with a church soon as we are told to not forsake the assembling of ourselves (in Hebrews?). God may be trying to draw you back to Him.

Cindy Murray January 25, 2016 at 11:30 am

My name is Cindy. I am 54, my daughter Rachel is 27, and we live together. We are both saved, and trust in God. Rachel has had health problems all of her life, and has not had any kind of a life.
I have developed some health problems myself this past year. We are struggling so much, physically, mentally, and financially. We feel so discouraged, and HOPELESS. We have been crying out to God for help, but it seems like he does not hear.
It hurts so much to see my daughter sick every single day, and I feel so helpless. Between her health problems and mine, and the way things have been going, lately I have been feeling like I just want to die. I pray and pray, we both do, but things just keep getting worse.
We have been unable to attend church because of health issues, and other reasons. I speak with a pastor at a church we used to attend, and he prays with me.
As much as we are praying, and trying to seek God and obey him, things are just getting worse! I don’t know what to do.
Please, please pray for us.

Jack Wellman January 25, 2016 at 8:22 pm

Hello Mrs. Murray. I wish you were near us for we have a ministry that brings church to people who can’t go to church just like you can’t. You are already doing and have already done all that you can but this may be spiritual attacks. Just focus on staying in the Word, ever day, and the Gospel of John is my favorite for those who are crushed in spirit. I can pray for you too. Does your pastor have church services on the Internet or DVD? That might help you feel more connected. I put my sermons on You Tube so that those who can’t come to us we come to them.

jack please pray for me.I live in the UK and at the moment am going through a terrible depression and am so frightened and despondent.Iam a 57 year old male and i have been in bad situations before and have prayed for gods help, but forgot about him when thing got better.I fear this time he will not help me,due to me not being thankful when he did help me on previous occasions.I am pretty desperate again and pray he will give me just one more chance, and i pray for him to give me lots of faith then i may feel him in my heart for ever more. Please pray for me Jack, thank you.

Jack Wellman February 8, 2016 at 10:09 am

Hello Mr. Brown. I will pray for you my brother in the U.K. I suggest you talk to your pastor about this right away. Don’t put it off. God forgives us of all of our sins…and all means “all” (1st John 1:9). Has there been a time in your life when you’ve repented of your sins, meaning you’ve turned away from them and forsaken them? And then put your trust in Christ. Read Romans chapter 8 and please, start reading the Gospel of John, for this gospel speaks more about the security of the believer than all the other gospels combined.

Rhonda March 2, 2016 at 12:15 pm

I’m having so many problems I don’t know where to begin. My husband of 13 years left me last month. He just stopped talking to me 7 months earlier, then he just up and moved out. Didn’t even talk to me or try to work things out. 3 weeks ago my mother passed away. She had been ill for some time, but I wasn’t expecting it. Yesterday someone hit me on my way to work. This person tried to run me off the road. Now they are lying and I’m afraid of being in legal trouble. I’m scared, sad, and heartbroken. I have no one to talk to. Both of my parents now are deceased, and I have no brothers or sisters. I can’t eat, can’t sleep…and my work is suffering. I feel like God isn’t there for me. I don’t know what I have done to deserve all of this in my life. I’m a good person, I’ve never hurt anyone. I feel abandoned, like God doesn’t even care. I need someone to help me.

Jack Wellman March 2, 2016 at 12:19 pm

Please call your pastor and see if your husband will go to counseling with you but if not, just pray for him as he doesn’t sound like he is truly saved. You must love him like nobody’s business because Jesus died for us while still enemies and wicked sinners which we didn’t deserve (Rom5:8-10). Do you have a church home? If not, why not? Ask for prayers from your church as an “unspoken needs” and don’t give up. Fight for this marriage from your knees. Praying with you.

Falsely accused March 24, 2016 at 1:29 am

Hello Jack,

I am in desperate need of a miracle. I have been falsely accused of a terrible crime which I absolutely did not do. I am innocent. Yet I feel as though my reputation may be destroyed as charges could be laid against me, lose my job and end up in jail.

Please pray for me that no charges are ever brought against me…I am innocent. I did not do what I’ve been accused of. I can not believe this has happened to me.

Please help!

Jack Wellman March 24, 2016 at 11:46 am

Hello “Falsely accused” and yes, I will pray for you. Just think about Joseph who spent 7 years in prison falsely accused yet it was often said “And the Lord was with Joseph.” As long as God knows the truth, He’s the only audience you need to be concerned about. I will pray brother or sister in Chrust,

Lance Sullivan June 12, 2016 at 6:01 pm

Dear sir. I see there is soo much troubles in the world and you’ve recieved but a fraction of it. But just reading down this column of letters is heart wrenching and full of despair. I stand with you brother in prayer. I’m struggling to eat without a guilty conscience. The Lord has far blessed me beyond my wants and needs but reading everyone’s plight on here I can’t help but feel despair. I don’t want these people to give up on our Lord. So many people need Jesus. I need Jesus everyday. I just want to share with everyone that it is hard but when you ask for things. You MUST believe you will receive. When you doubt for even a second you can undo everything. Brothers and sisters please read the word understand it and do it. If you can get online onto here then you can Google scripture. I would like to help too. is my email. Lance Sullivan (uncs) is my Facebook friend or Facebook me I would be so glad to help. I was down and almost out big time and the Lord picked me up just before I broke and he took me beyond what I could have imagined. God bless you all

Hey jack,

I was wondering if it was disrespectful to call upon the archangels for love instead of God. Wouldn’t the archangels protect me and bring back my soulmate since they’re role is to help gods children? For example. Archanglel Chamuel….

Please help me July 26, 2016 at 3:01 am

I do not know which religion and which god is true as there are 4800 religions in the world. I don’t think god will blame me for just directing my prayers to the true god. I have been begging god to give me a chance to make things right, make all of these a bad dream and wake me up from it or to take me back in time to make things right again. It does seem far fetched but I am sure the one who created the universe, the moon, the sun and the earth can help me with it. I have been crying and crying telling god about my resentments and regrets. I go to sleep everyday praying that god would give me a miracle and when I wake up everything would be fine and I would be happy again. But every time I open my eyes and look around, nothing has changed. And I feel my heart ache with disappointment and the fact that my prayers and cries have not been answered.

Gaby August 5, 2016 at 11:40 am

Hi Jack,
My father has been struggling since 2007 to have a job, last year my father had an accident, but thank God he lived, but ever since that day my father has been getting not so much money, this year he stopped getting paid and was fired, i’m only 14 years old and had been through a lot, i’m the oldest sister and I still have faith in God and I know he is still by my side no matter what.. I have beenpraying and talking to God about everything His like my best friend… I know He hears our prayers, byt sometimes I feel like He doesn’t hear me talking to Him… Sometimes when I talk to Him, I get sad and cry but then I feel like someone is hugging me and I know tgat it’s Him telling me that everything will be ok.. I just wanted to ask you to pray for my family so that someday that miracle wil come, and help us get through this awful time… I really do still have faith in Him, but sometimes I ask myself if He heard me.. because sometimes I feel like He didn’t so I cry, and then a few days back I asked him for a sign that everything will be ok, but He hasn’t responded, and I feel hopeless… I will really appreaciate if you could pray to Him for our family 🙂
Thank you

Jack Wellman August 5, 2016 at 12:35 pm

I am so sorry Gabby for this heartache. I will pray for you and your family. Is your family saved? Sometimes God will use afflictions and trials to draw us close to Him so that we can learn to trust Him. At other times, He uses problems to humble sinners to make them desperate to seek God and to be saved.

Susan August 6, 2016 at 9:35 am

Please Lord: I recited a prayer and am seeking to heal my daughter’s medical complications and ask for a financial blessing caused by my daughter’s cancer which has left me / us in great debt. I pray today for a financial blessing as we were homeless once before and doing everything for that not to happen again.

Please send me additional work my way, a win at lottery or other means of financial blessing to help us get out of debt and keep my daughter cancer-free.
